A huge factor is because this is a huge charity event like Days of Color.

Each year TGC works with Ocean Cleanup organization. Most of the money from IAP purchases goes to Ocean Cleanup. Some goes to app store charges, the rest go to development costs.

Even the events in game like microdarkness and the river barriers in Peaks are references to real life.

They reference micro plastics (obviously) and the interceptors that hold back plastics from flowing out and trap then before they reach the ocean.

So yeah... alot of collab work hence the IAPs

In my experience, a lot of times the spirits as a group are fairly balanced in candles to complete their trees during the season. It's after that stuff starts costing hearts sometimes.

It was showing the pipes in the crab fields that you go up to get to battlefield. But I don't know as it's a quest so much as wasteland is where the "pollution" started and spread from.... Which makes sense kinda if you were around for two embers...

Yee I think the bottle sculpture activity could be expanded as a new EC activity, but I guess the mechanic where you solve a mystery about the pollution by completing the past 3 activities is really neat

Also I don't think we should connect the Days of Love thing as if it's part of new trend, it was caused by an overlap if at all.

I think they've used up the time and resources for the Bloom gardening activity xD

But all that remains is to see how would the mystery solving part would go since we're already Day 1 into Nature

as i'm on pc, i can easily go semi-afk for wax, by repeatedly doing shell collector's activity:

press F to trigger activity, press R to dig, press F to pick up bottle, press F to turn in the bottle; rinse and repeat

very little effort or character movement is required. gets rid of a chevron relatively quickly, if not monotonously.

i tried for half an hour: doesn't seem to be an upper limit for the wax.
