If you already have the mask you keep it (but can’t summon the elder from orbit), if you had already purchased the random spell you would still need to buy this, if you hadn’t completed this tree cost won’t change but you get a trail spell instead of random spell

Hey is the new torch worth it for a Chibi person? (I heard it charges slower idk, any1 have a comparison for specifically Chibis?)
I use Chibi 90% the time so it'll matter a lot (for aesthetic purposes only idk how to Chibi fall properly )

If there's no longer fragment, the telescope will look at you, but it will remain the effect

The assembly torch provides the fastest recharge (if you can get close enough to it). The downside is that it is less convenient to use. Works best for chibis when you can put it on a wall near the floor.

7. The Isolated Illuminator (Quest 7)
   A flat platform with a yellow orb at its center. When lit, it instantly fast recharges your wing for 10 seconds. It equals 10 continuous flaps. This makes it excellent for extended flying, since the recharge is immediate.
   After activation, the orb turns off, and the device enters a cooldown of 50 seconds (sometimes it can be a minute) before it can be lit again. Sometimes, when lighting the platform, there’s a chance you’ll be pushed or bounced off it unexpectedly.

8. Sparkle Scope (Quest 8)
   A telescope that constantly bursts translucent beams (just like Fragment Finder), making it easy to spot where the device itself is located. When interacted with, it projects a brief hint toward the location of a remaining fragment, making it useful for spotting fragments that are well hidden or difficult to find. However, the scope only shows a fixed, random direction and cannot be freely moved or controlled.
   If used when no fragments remain, the scope will instead point back at you and leave a vignette effect on your screen. This effect is a glitch and disappears once you teleport home.

9. Spiral Summoner (Quest 9)
   A half‑platform with two orbs on each side. When lit, it reveals a spiral path that connects to the other half. This can be activated from either the top or bottom half. The path remains for one minute, making it useful if you want to go upward but are running low on wing energy. Afterward, the path fades, and the device enters a 30‑second cooldown before it can be lit again.
   Since the path is spiral, it often requires rotating the camera to follow it, which may cause motion dizziness for some players. If you have enough wing energy, you can also skip parts of the path and fly directly upward instead.

My runs aren't as optimised as they possibly could be, and I'm still improving as I only started using this route <t:1772006400:R>. The higher, more skewed data is from inexperience, Golden Wasteland treasure candles, large groups, or technological difficulties. Although my highest ever time is 1h & 37m, the higher end of my times are realistically going to be around 1h 13m. I keep records simply because I enjoy it

Deep honking actively annoys shard-infected crabs and they will charge at you. It makes things worse, not better.

If you want to distract them, take along the staff or pot which you can light up. Plant it nearby and light it. They mistake this heat-source for a skykid and they will repeatedly charge it, eventually destroying it (you get it back in your backpack).

You dont need to charge the deep honk to the max, you can hold a bit and release earlier ti annoy just the nearest crabs
Otherwise if they are spread all around, some will charge away frim shard and some will run back to it. It helps gathering them in one group

until there was a bug that candles can't recharge you... and even after it fixed, I still need about 15 minutes

In my experience at least, the game gets confused and "switches" between the locations - in other words, it'll let you burn the plants in the PC's location but then switch to the other platforms' location and you can't burn the plants in the PC's location, and vice versa (hope that makes sense). It's really annoying tbh

Well the above messages confirmed the weirdness I experienced at the shard today. I had 3 other players with me. 2 just stood there as if there was nothing to burn and the 3rd sometimes matched up with my pattern but mostly not. It was rough!

Yes but there are dark plants that give out Dye. They are used for coloring certain outfits, capes and masks.

That’s very fair, but on the other hand there’s an argument to be made for newer/less confident players who might get frightened at the idea of making shared spaces due to a perceived “lack” of items or skills to build shared spaces like those we run into
Like myself honestly, I used to be mortified just at the thought of making a shared space

So giving players free shared spaces, performances & messages could very well lower the bar for a lot of players

And I personally used to only ever make shared spaces in order to make useful things, but now maybe I’ll make things just for fun sometimes since they’re free :D

Yep Samnesia is right, lanterns and cranes were always slightly more expensive than boats (i'm assuming its because its prettier), you can find the prices here https://sky-children-of-the-light.fandom.com/wiki/Spell_Shops#Scroll_Shop (It dosen't have the cost of the latern though, pretty sure its from days of moonlight)
