Then the bugs and things happened and instead of make it bad they launched mbti and tournament to work on it. Probably they had stuff to fix in days of fortune so they launched days of love with nothing new. I would say TGC had problems making the event stuff and they had to move all and launch it like this

I have to step in and I certainly am sure this isn't what was happening. It simply happens that W. Olympics, Valentine's and LNY are very close together; 6th Feb, 14th and 17th Feb respectively. then this leaves January with a lot of room for them to add in an event, hence personality quiz. I am sure everything had been planned much in advance and not spontaneous. They are aware of the overlap due to irl calendar dates.

For those still not sure about the tournament torch, here is a run down of things that it is useful for:

• Slowly replenishing your wing light while on the move, even when flying, useful for Eden.
• Lighting dark areas like the Valley Temple Maze or in Hidden Forest but you need it assigned to a quick select to relight it as the rain extinguishes it frequently (Thanks @vivid python )
• Helping light candles without having to press the candle lighting action, just brush past and 🔥
• Activating lantern switches, like in Vault, on the 3rd floor with the multiple rotating ones you can just fly slowly past them, for the lanterns on the back of spirit creatures as well. Good for small Skyds especially.
• Burning buns at Grandmas
• Collecting lantern fragments when mending lanterns, again no need to use your candle lighting action, just use the torch to slowly recharge as you fly about and then brush a fragment with it to collect it.
• it also doesn't trigger spirits, so it wont activate memory when going through tight tunnels (looking at you Provoking Performer (thanks @lone ivy )

• Recharges your light at a faster rate than the Tournament Torch
• Can only be placed in one spot, so it can not be used while flying or running around, so place it, use it, pick it up and move, then place it again.

That's cause the prices of stuff is too high to keep up with casual play without paying [more than seasonal price] for some people's available play time. On top of the prices of some stuff clearly being for... those with lots of disposable income because the value for the thing isn't there for anyone with less.

I reitterate that they would sell more, to everyone, if they charged less per individual thing (Candles/Hearts/Cash). And put more into the things they do put out. Those little heart head bits should not only light up when you hug/use a heart generating emote, and should be dyeable. That returning flower garland where you can't dye the flowers color... 🤦

I appreciate they are aware of the amount of candles/grinding available in one month and limiting the number of things to spend on for the sake of ensuring people can 'keep up'. They at least have a limit on the amount of FOMO they generate such that they knew people would want to have resources available for the TS group (assuming it is popular stuff people don't already mostly have) on top of Lunar NY stuff.

Yet like a little polish on the old stuff? Something? IDK.
I'd offer to work for them to help if i thought they'd let me in.
Make features like mentioned above just to ensure they were in game.

Its crazy cuz then theres people getting mad at tgc for ignoring feedback, and theres ppl who are happy tgc is “not letting the haters get to them” 😭 honestly the divide in the community over the over the moon defenders and the haters is just a headache

I have my own judgments against tgc but i try to stay consistent, and celebrate their Dubs when they have them😔😔

Like I myself am happy that they don't offer anything new for Love due to the event overlap (which they couldn't help with due to irl dates)

I wish we could be as excited for what sky can offer. I'm sure tgc had been deciding from all the feedbacks and offer the best they can. Seems like most of this community will never be satisfied with anything really.

We're both aware that the responses on Sky's social media go above and beyond with being really awful, but that is this server. If the general response for something is negative, then the discussions are going to be negative. If that's tiring to you, you may want to look away for a while instead of shutting down conversations that should be had as feedback is vital to the game

People are easily swayed by misinformed rumours and views that are not based on facts and reality. It is incredibly frustrating to hear people accuse tgc of things that aren't even true nor exist. I've known tgc devs as people who are truly passionate about the game and I've seen that they've done their best to address every players' needs. Yes they're not perfect but all the constant insults and harsh negative commentary I've heard every day made me feel frustrated and feel less willing to contribute back to the community as a Troupe member.

I personally understand that people have opinions, both positive and negative. What's important is how constructive we can be in providing feedback to the developers, which is why I personally prefer to use the feedback channel rather than discussing things in general chat with other users. If you have an opinion about something, whether it's positive or negative, submitting feedback is a great way to let it be heard. Anyway, I hope you don't get hurt by each other no matter what your opinions are.

after a recent update, the render distance was decreased for all devices
therefore, the pop-in issue has become quite serious

i know it's to improve performance, but this change doesn't apply equally to everyone
(e.g. switch 1 needs it more than than switch 2; an iphone 16 pro max doesn't need it as much as a base iphone 12 does)

i wish there was a settings option, to let us choose the render distance...

as i play on a PC with good specs, I don't have performance issues
but the low render distance made me unable to see certain things (e.g. granny's buns) when i'm zoomed-out

one of my first lanterns at the start of the season i literally did not get a chance to get off the starting platform. it was cutscene after cutscene after cutscene with maybe a few seconds break between them and it was clearly merges. i wish had that recorded, i was so confused and annoyed

i wish they implemented some sort of progress checking before merging, i feel like instant progress in any active event, be that lantern or shard, takes away from experience

it's curious though because i also remember doing the same lanterns multiple times a day at the start of the season, and it was to the point i was able to memorize some fragment locations, and i don't recall noticing the map changing much or at all. i would likely feel at least slightly disoriented every time if that was the case

Just now I was doing rain race, and there were two people who cheated by using piggyback dismount to get out of the bubble before the race started. They were also doing piggyback with the white candle, and yet I still won 😋 (it was just the three of us in the race) (also I know sometimes you can get out of the bubble by accident.
