ehh, I think the movement and flying controls in this game are very very fun, and going fast feels too good. we enjoy candle running and optimizing our routes and it shows our improvement and mastery of these mechanics - getting the candles from the route is sometimes secondary to the enjoyment of flying 'n sliding about

To me, the joy of flying is also part of the reason why I enjoy candle running purely by flying and making a skillful shortcut (without any tricks or anything, just pure skills especially in trials)

on that note we wanna say that it's really shocking how underrated the snowboard is, given all the things it allows to do, and how strongly it changes the sliding mechanics

yes, you can start a slide in dark water even from a full stop, and you maintain momentum when going through it for a very long time - you can cross all of graveyard boarding if you get enough speed from the slope after the first krill

it takes some getting used to the way sliding works with it, but it's quite worth it. building momentum faster and keeping it for longer makes you go significantly faster than skykids that would be just jumping/running around

entering the valley colosseum I go so fast now that I either bonk on the little platform in the middle, or get launched all the way to the other side and bonk on the wall gahahaha

also try doing the butterfly emotion when crossing water, it's fun

definitely ! it's not just for show, despite what most ppl seem to believe. I do think the price is super steep indeed, but it's a genuinely really fun item and it will allow you to see every realm with different eyes if you try and get the most out of it.

to me, being able to go fast while collecting a lot of wax is really rewarding!

plus, the faster i finish the CR, the more time i get to spend doing other fun things with friends!

for us, it has replaced the spot that a fire prop would usually have, given we save so much energy by not flapping around for speed on most terrain (and now with Radiance adding the extra butterflies that recharge you very well), there's little necessity of a constant source of energy -- it also lets you lead faster even with other folks, where a fire prop would be less valuable

i like always having a fire prop. i'll never forget to bring it to geyser or grandma, and it makes shards less dangerous

Also personally I find cr 20 candles a day rather unnecessary, provided that you have a good decision making skill, aka knowing what you want the most and stick with saving up for them only and ignore any other items. I've never grey candled in so long and I hit 1k candles after consistent 15 candle runs

agreed. I enjoy the safety of it, and will switch off the board when it comes to those lil' events, though I can't say we care much about them.. we get plenty of wax from running our route that they're usually an extra

most ppl don't want to interact a lot in there and the events take a while to pay out, so we've been forgetting them quite a bit lately

though geyser with the snow mittens is a ton of fun, we're quite happy that there's snow there and folks playing and interacting makes the event so much more fun

What's everyone's favorite dye color? Not necessarily the same as your favorite color in general, but your favorite color out of the ingame dyes. Mine's black+cyan. Love the shade, but I rarely end up using it. So, if I don't got much better dye options on a cosmetic, I just use it as an excuse to dye it black+cyan.

I've now decided that half white on the shirt is the best dye option so far. Not an improvement on the original color, but because it blends in with the white of the belt part, it at least gives the unique illusion of a different shirt shape.

how do you get the seasons hearts? i’ve been collecting the candles but i’m not sure how to get the outfit of the person with the boat!

Season hearts are at the top of the season spirit trees, so you will need to obtain many of their items or spend a lot of time with them to unlock one.

They can only be bought by season pass holders.
