you wont get the candles if you try to forge them so its best to just wait till a fix is released to forge any white candles

It can feel like that, but it should still decrease once the right amount of wax has been collected

Remember that you need 5 candles per chevron to see a difference with the bug

You only see when a full chevron is gone instead of the usual 5 increments

A friend suggests you try going to Harmony Hall (Village of Dreams). Once you are there, you have to sit in the chair opposite of storyteller for their tree button to appear in that map (it's something Devs did like 2-3 updates ago).

Okay my problem with this is that I interacted with an instrument at the location but I didn’t get anything. Even after playing a song. Is there something specific I need to do? A specific song? Do I really have to record as well?

for those who have not been affected yet AND when the bug has been fixed, PLEASE FORGE YOUR CANDLES EVERY DAY AFTER YOUR DAILY CR

This is to ensure that all your candles are registered safely and properly. I don't care if you want satisfaction of forging months long of candle collection, it is the best for your candle safety in future.

yeah it's unfortunately, but you can ask your friends or someone from #looking-for-group-live who's not affected to carry you along to spend all 3 chevrons (collecting 15~ candles), this way you can stop the animation loop completely but leaves your candle unforgeble.

You can now move freely if you've stopped the animation and do dailies as normal

The bug doesn't refill anything. You can use up your chevrons as normal, after which you'll be able to move normally again without praying. Candles still can't be forged and the chevrons won't reset the next day, so it'll be as if you've already gotten candles the next day even though you just logged in

The animation doesn't show if you've gotten at least 15 candles worth of wax. This will stay through resets. The state of your chevrons will also stay, meaning if you went grey yesterday, you start out gray today

The bug seems to originate in aviary, atleast from what I can tell from what's happening to me I swapped back to old home so it's fixed for me until I go to aviary.
