the reason it was bad was because of the steep slopes so luring crabs wasn't really as good so like
you would basically get trapped by the red crabs constantly running into you

but also deep calling would summon the butterflies so you would just be forced into the air and slam into the shards

I did solo that shard before, luring crabs is hard, spent a lot of time on that

this also still happens sometimes I think but you could get stun locked and trapped inside of a shard, constantly losing WL

Not yet, anyway. But when I flew up over the clouds from the Cresent Oasis to look into the Moonlight area, I thought I could see another tunnel in the clouds on the far side. That's why I thought to check the Wind Paths.

i think the intention was to make it a bit less like "go find these things and pick them up. done" because that's kinda basic and not exactly relevant to the event. but i agree that i don't think the idle light collection necessarily makes it less basic, the only relevance it has to the event is that it accumulates in the area surrounding the runway memory shrine and like. the original way of collecting tickets was also just around the event area

if anything i think the idle light collection kinda discourages wandering around the event area because it requires you to basically stay in one place for a certain period of time, meanwhile having event tickets scattered around at least had you exploring stuff
