Day 1 of pushing the greatest idea ever to TGC...
Ok so here's sky's next 50 million dollar idea. Season of pets. Start with like a jelly or an angry baby crab then upgrade to a manta or a manatee or even the ground krill from the plateau. Ult could be a baby krill or a baby light whale. You communicate with ur pet using the various calls. Depending on the pet u may have different abilities like jelly could fetch wax from further away, manatee could give infinite flight at the trade off of having to ride it and it being VERY slow, bird could circle over spirits, baby krill protects you from being krilled once every few minutes butterfly could point you towards other players etc .. Introduce new calls including krill call. Put the pets you gather on the various planets in little prince area i.e. jelly planet manta planet bird planet butterfly planet etc OR have it so u use ur call in a specific group of the corresponding animals to be led to a secret area that opens up. You could place each secret area in each realm encouraging replay exploration and adds to the idea of bonding with the creatures of Sky by seeing them in their own environments and earning each groups trusts by doing different quests and interacting with them in different ways.

however about to boost you mentioned, it could feel unfair to other people, and instead of an equipping mechanic

if it does get any boost
you only need to be friends with the creature to have it, it doesn't have to follow you around, like a blessing!

We already have a butterfly shrine and a spirit that teaches us how to get them to land in our hand. It practically writes itself.

Pets have their own way of existing in sky already as it is. Like how in certain events you will have a temporary pet squid. And even the character in that one series TGC is making has some sort of seal buddy iirc.

I think if there was a focus on learning respect for each species and their place in the eco system of Sky it could be a fun season. You could have long lasting quest lines after with each species groups to earn their trust similar to how the elder masks were a more substantial goal to reach towards.

Most pets would basically act as a glorified compass for various things with fun behavior quirks added in maybe. I'm thinking the idea is you befriend the species groups one becomes available to follow you because you build a bond and that allows for reusing assets and re-exploring previous areas to look for more fauna.

The focus gameplay wise of pets would be to make helping moths easier.

We'll just circumvent the pets in Eden and therefore dying thing by having them stay out of the final area on account of being scared by the rocks. If you should happen to fall in an area outside of final Eden the pet can just flee or if we wanna be evil and pull on heart strings if you have a high enough bond it lays over you and tries to protect you.

Imagine if you will, you have been leading a particularly problematic group of moths to Eden. It had been a while since you had topped off your winged light but you were confident in yourself. Fast forward to you desperately attempting to save one of your moths for the umpteenth time in battlefield. You hear the sound of a krill spotting it's prey. You know they can't dodge and their only chance is if you intercept yet again. You swoop in and aggro the spiked menace only to realize your instincts to save the moth have doomed you. You gave too much. Your manta friend cries out and swoops down onto your rapidly fading skykid gently emitting manta honks as if hugging you and crying.

Add a 2% chance it revives you.

Maybe I can understand if they downvote me for the events' part, because events is mainly about cosmetics, although the best ones are expensive IAPS, and here comes the "unfun" part too (and also days of mischief used to be fun, now meh...), but with seasons, It's not me that I got bored of sky, but it would be amusing if this was a coincidence.

I always tell opinions there, and I've noticed that only game communities do not accept opinions.

There's a way to tell if your opinion is disagreed by a lot of people or not. By downvoting, and I think this system is harsh, but by a lot.

There's a system called "karma". It's your total upvotes, and you loose them if you get downvotes. Well, at least I learned that I shall not tell opinions on game related subreddits, especially if they're toxic.
