According to all of them tho forest has more

Either just more active players or just players

Probably the proper way to set it up would be to give a bit more players overall to loosing teams, so that for example out of 10 newcomers there would be
4 for praire, 3 for valley, 2 for wasteland and 1 for forest.
Problem with this approach - there will be physically more players on loosing side however it may look as if there is actual competition and it will mostly have more similar scores

It still isn't perfect but solves a problem with one team initially getting more actually active players

I mean for example imagine if there is currently 1000 in each team however
80% of them are active in one
70% in other
And down to 40% in last two. This approach would artificially increase numbers overall of the last two teams but overall should give approximately similar amount of active players which will overall give similar results across all the teams

Honestly the whole tournament idea was a bad one in my opinion because it is just going to bring negativity to the community, especially when the scores seem so disproportional

Like they all tout community and togetherness and then put in an event where you are working against other players. If you are going to make an event where there are winners and losers that is just asking for people to be discouraged and angry idk

Personally I think this would have been fine if the team assignments weren't... like this. Either way I think this is a great opportunity to look at our feelings about the event. (And maybe see how our friends are behaving, and see if that sheds light about their character.)

There is no proper way to distribute people to all 4 teams absolutely equally in a situation like this. However artificially giving more players to the loosing sides would probably fix the insane gap there is between teams in terms of score. It wouldn't be appropriate in a sense that physically more people will be in one team but it would be in a sense of their average score they give to team being similar to others so that it would feel competitive and kinda fair-ish as we as players anyways have no idea about how much people actually are there in each team

Like even though there is no prize for winning, if the scores are so unbalanced then there is going to be discontent. When i was in highschool we had a similar event where each year got a seperate team and we competed in different events through the year. Every year the seniors (except one where we all thought it was staged so that they could say seniors didn’t win every year) won and it caused resentment about it every single year. Everyone said that we were essentially competing for second place. This kind of feels like its going to be analogous to that situation

I just don't see this specific idea working out as it defeats the fairness in the first place since the 'winning' and 'losing' roles would just switch and the problem would start all over.

Explanation as to why I view this as a solution
If there is 10000 people in each team but random threw it the way that one team has only 50% users being active and giving score while other team got lucky and 80% of their users are doing the same
This way it's technically 8000 against 5000. However by artificially increasing unlucky team numbers - there may be a more proper balance of active players between both teams

say if you are in a 4th, 3rd, 2nd place you get a bit of point boost

it gives a dynamic to the game. the points you can get are limited, you get it by doing tasks, some are harder than others and the list of tasks is decently long and has a lot of variety but lasts for a week.

I have 4 active friends in the wasteland team and only one is actually trying to get points. The others just don't care. So even if every team has the exact same amount of active players, the result depends on how many want to participate in the event.

I second the suggestion of doing treasure reef for the clams. But if you are only doing what’s in the list in your comment, you’ll probably need to do more realms. To get 20, I have to go through every realm, do all the races in Valley, music sheet in harmony hall, and get some extra areas (wind paths, candle cake in starlight, etc). If you do trials, you can forgo some of the smaller areas.

2- TS only brings item they offer when their season is active, you can check wiki to see list of the things they offer

There's actually some spirits' memory quests (and other activities) that can help for players who want to improve on their Tournament performance!

Twirling Champion - Memory quest is functionally the same as Speed Skate, even using the same level of the Valley's Ice Rink!
Rallying Thrillseeker - Gathering airborne fragments of light, albeit over long distances, this spirit's memory quest is good to train for Void Gather, Cloud Collect, AND Wingsuiting. The Wingsuiting activity is all about careful energy consumption, and reliving the Thrillseeker's memory may be an adequate challenge depending on your wedge count.
Manta Whisperer - Another option to train for Void Gather, Cloud Collect, and Wingsuiting. You follow a fragment of light as it zips around the Valley Citadel, and you must not only be fast enough but also careful enough to not crash into the crowded structure.
Passage of Reliance - This activity happens to take place in the same level as the Rain Race, and similarly stresses intentional maneuvering with little to no light.

(Sadly the only thing that could help train for the Crab Race is the crab spell inflicted upon players for 2023 Days of Mischief. Key word being "inflicted" as it was never one that could be added to a player's spell inventory, so yay for time-locked training opportunity...)

Somehow an event meant to be restricted to the NetEase version of the game (which most Chinese players of Sky are on), made its way to the global version (the one we play on and this server is meant for).

Due to lack of any official announcement, we can presume it to be a glitch. But it is one that has persisted for at least three years now. I first saw it in summer of 2022, the same year I started playing Sky.

there is a bug in orbit which makes a spirit or wl with cape appear on the constellation platform. (the bug is actually a few weeks old even a few months i believe) the spirit or wl with cape (both light or dark) stands between the mask closet and the hair closet so in the middle. to make it spawn you have to call down an elder (after getting a const 100%) and then go into their const, maybe you have to tap one of their ults to make it appear. i recorded it and put it here if you wanna see #eden-spoilers message

it'll be a lot easier if you rush into the shipwreck area and come back, the krill's spawn trigger seems to be fixed to the entryway from the first area, so doing this trick should stop it from spawning while you do the spirit. keep in mind the krill will come back if someone else joins the server and hits the trigger ~~learned that the hard way earlier ~~

So how do you get Saluting Protector krill free?

you go to next area first, which is crab field. and then go back to graveyard, then do the spirit. as long you're alone in the server, the krill in saluting protector area wont get triggered to show

need a bit of luck tho because any player can merge/join your server suddenly and tada the krill is triggered

probably just a love tap from krill. like they hit you so slightly you lost no wl. or a bug from the tournaments?

since when we do crab race, we lost no wl if the krill hit us

honestly this event perfectly encapsulates the reason why i don't get invested in things like the olympics -- i have literally no influence whatsoever on the outcome

I was thinking to myself, you know how tgc is known for not using true random, but favors a filtered random? I think the same thing is happening here. It’s still a random role assign, but we don’t know how the random was filtered

THey bounced around and got launched out of the bubble as well, it was brutal!

I watched the whole thing as this little crab came scrambling into the finish, a Krill trained on them the whole way.

The light didn't turn blue so I quickly got out of the way, but the poor thing couldn't escape in time.

Oh no, they had turned back into a Sky Kid just before the Krill lunged.

Which is arguably worse, if you ask me.

Crabs are at least armored, so they might not be hurt so much.

I think so, yeah. They got completely darkened, shadow crystals on their body and the whole nine yards.

And the worst part is they immediately got sent back to the colosseum because the impact launched them out of the bubble!

So if they DID lose WL, they definitely didn't get it back.

Wow..I think that should honestly be told to the Devs so that way next year they can consider putting some restrictions on the activation box areas for krills, and a no hit zone in the finish line so people don't get attacked at the finish line.

Truthfully I don't know if the genuinely lost WL, I didn't see any fly off, but the kid absolutely was extinguished. A 'safe zone' finishline is a very, VERY good idea.

Unfortunately I don't have footage to show what happened, so it's just word-of-mouth so to speak. I can't actually prove what I saw.

In my opinion, the moth mask looks better with the colors. It matches the fluff as well, I think. Not sure what accessories to suggest, though...
