I think you only collect the winged light from ascended spirits at orbit and not when you buy it, so they're always there at the end for ya each time

I don't have a route detailed, but I like to do like zig zag, from the start to the left, then right then left and just repeat trying to get every kid in the way so you max out ac, all the way to the last kid before chaotic shard rain, theeen depending on how many wings I have left I keep ziggy zaggy when possible until the inevitable comes
