There's a story/comic someone has made that i have been following along with on instagram and I swear it has more lore than this season 💀 it has some similarities to the season even though it was designed before the season came out and I'm kind of just putting those ideas with what we've gotten from tgc in the memories and it's kind of making sense 😭

the masks will protect you from being fully extinguished depending on what attacked you (a few hits from crabs and shard crabs, and one hit from a krill) before breaking. After that, you can now lose your winged lights normally. To repair the masks, you just need to revisit their elder's temples (in my case, the Isle of Dawn and the Daylight Prairie) and meditate to repair it. You can do this as many times as you can

Most probably TGC intentions were good because they made it harder today and it brought more waves of light fragments (5-6iirc) collection which means more ascended candles reward (players asked for more AC) than the max before. It's really unfortunate it wasn't adjusted already during season testing so these bugs could have been fixed.

Once again, I found myself alone in doing the shard. Even when there are people there, more times than not I get kicked out of the server. So I'm use to doing it alone.

I moved the crabs to fall over the bridge or go into the table area so I won't get a sneak attacked. I moved four, then three more suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Then another three popped up.

Every time you burn a red shard, you are given the option to go and “view a memory”. Red shards only appear on weekends. I don’t know how it works when you’re catching up on past memories, but I would GUESS that if you went and talked to the season guide after each time you burned it (you can burn shards multiple times each day though you only get the wax rewards once) you could probably do multiple memories in a day.

But I can’t guarantee if that would work.

I haven’t missed a day yet all season and I’ve lost ~3 WL total (but found one of them again later). It’s the worst when you’re working on a difficult red shard alone so if you get pinballed against several shards by a flying shard or a crab and have no one to re-light you. If you get knocked down and are crawling around alone with no one to re-light you it’s borderline impossible to collect any lost WL, and in a small area like gramma (sunny forest/elevated clearing) there is nowhere to bring the crabs so you can get away from them, so when there are more than 5 you can’t dodge them ALL every time.
(Unless you mean the shard today…I haven’t tried it yet. 🙄 Can’t afford to waste the time for no AC, especially since I keep going to empty servers.)

I love the game so much and I know they work hard but I guess yeah, it’s the fact that AP are so expensive and then each season turns out being so very buggy that it almost feels like they didn’t finish making it before releasing it. People like the just the base game as it is, I almost wish they would give us an un-season where newer players have a chance to catch up on collecting regular candles, veterans have a chance to take a break from the game for a couple of months without fearing losing some special cosmetics, and the TGC team can catch up on their work.
