Season of Memories

In the past months (before the Season of Prophecy was released in both beta and live) I had an idea for a season based in Isle of Dawn. The concept in my mind was to lead the player troughs a nice adventure discovering the past of the realm. How the previous population lived on the sands? How they discovered to fly? Those where some of the questions in my mind.. so I came out with some ideas and I’ve posted the hairstyles inspired by the African culture but than I had to put on a side this idea because Season of Prophecy was released and, well you know, basically was the same idea. TGC 1 - Simone 0 haha.
I gave up for a little but after my post with the hairstyles got noticed I decided to take back this idea and work on it a little more.

Today I’m happy to have more than some hairstyles in my hands and that this project is growing little by little.

What you see in the img are 2 concept for the Symbol of the season and the quest giver.

What the symbol represent is a dune with a sun on top.

The quest giver is a Chibi spirit wearing a Fennec Fox Mask and a tail. This spirit will be out guide through every quest that will lead us to discover two new areas. The Memories Pier and the Village Of Sands.

What do you think so far? I know is not much but there’s more to come 🙂

P.S. please consider that everything is still a work in progress. So those and the future designs are not final

Post n°2 until TGC hires me

Season of Memories

One of the first thing I came out with while thinking about this season was the Memories Pier (img 7-8-9). That specific space in Isle, with that particular light is perfect to host a pier. I loved the idea to have some little structures as part of a fishing village and have on it a “lonely” spirit. The Hippo one.

As you can see from the img n° 5 he got a restyle during time. The straw hat changed completely and it became more detailed and coherent with the African style. The hat is a Fulani while the instrument is a Kalimba. The first design for the Kalimba is still a work in progress, reason why is completely absent in the first img and icons.

I had an emote ready for this spirit but once again TGC beat me on time and the emote will be available on the next season hehe. TGC 2 - Simone 0 🥲

The map you see is where I see the new areas for the season. The Village of Sands will be exploitable only after the second quest and it will be the quest giver to lead the way trough the sand storm.

The hypo will host the first quest . The player will play a lullaby with them.

Let me tell you. "The story of Sit on The Bench Daily Quest"

One upon a day, there is a 'cute and happy' little sky kid. That day he will doing daily quest on daylight prairie. Cheerfully, he greeted questgiver for the task. The first task is catch the light, that is easy task and he can finish it in a minute. Second task is relive the spirit memories, another easy task because he know where is the spirit being. Next task is burn the dark plant, so he decided to go to Hidden Forest even he can burn it on another place, but forest has eternal rain to make this task become more challenging. this little kid return to questgiver after doing all 3 task. but quest giver forgetting 1 last task. That is 'sit on the bench with a stranger'. The little sky kid with confidence accept this quest and going to prairie, he knew there is many sky kid chilling on that place so this will be easy to meet another sky kid (a.k.a stranger). On arrival there, his guess is correct but sadly there are too many stranger which already fulfill the bench. Do not run out of wits, then he is going to forest. He find 1 empty bench there, burn the candle and waiting for another stranger coming. At first he didn't see anyone approaching him, every stranger just get past him and going to inside the hidden forest. He Take a look on another bench, there is two stranger talking each other and looks so exciting. The candle on the little sky kid's bench is almost run out, his face looks gloomy. Until the last light on the candle goes out, no one coming to sit with him....

Post n°3 until TGC hires me

Hey guys I hope you’re all doing great.

I’m still not sure if these posts will work but I’m happy to share those little progress in this ambitious project of mine .

What you see here is the product of a sotto of collaboration with an artist I’ve worked with before (which I’m not able to tag her for some reason l) she gave me a hand to improve the design of the mask and she made up complete from scratch the design for the pants which I’ve later changed slightly.

This spirit is a Hyena and the emote was supposed to be a laugh. Once again TGC implemented a new emote on the next season which is exactly how I was imagine it, this mean that this spirit now doesn’t have an emote and I’ll struggle a lot by making a new one as what keep coming to my mind is a sort of “evil” laugh hihihi

This spirit will be located in the Sands Village (still not sure if I’ll keep this name as it’s to close to the Village of Dreams)

The characteristics of this spirit are:
Hyena mask
Pants - those have some inspiration from the Zulu Warriors and the stone on the belt is like the one we find in the Rhythm ones)
Afro hairstyle

A little context she is a normal girl deals with normal things jerks at school and such then something happens and she “falls” into the vast kingdom of sky and washes up on the shores of Isle of Dawn and shorty found by a group of Sky kids and she is taken in given “moff” style clothes and a old cape and mask to “blend in” cuz sky kids have the gray color skin and white hair and such. She is slowly Turing into a sky kid and the group helps her through the world slowly to try and get her back to her world. (This took me 6 months to create this back story)
