I mean it isn't that hard...but let's spell it out for the braniacs at scopely. The game currently sucks, players are unhappy. We literally tell scopley what we want. Scopely says ok we are gonna give you what you want. Then they deliver the exact opposite of what we want.

I used to spend a good bit on this game, now i don't because packs have so little value now it's not even worth the spend. A hundred dollar pack may get you an 1/8th of the way to your goal now and only if you also bought 300 dollars worth of assorted battle passes. The money grab is absurd. The attitude of the company is apathetic at best, the customer support is virtually non-existent, and they ignore ALL of our feedback

If Scopely wants my money, they are going to have to earn my money...first by making up for at least 9 months of trash content and second by actually giving us content/packs that are actually bringing value.

Just get a gs31 and parts are never an issue. Mines only tier 3 and pulling just under 1k rare of my chosen type a day

some event milestones will increase without question, if you dont plan on an epic g4 its safe to go up. the main issue with going to 51 is the amount of g4 parts will ofc reduce as it changes from 'old g4' to newer g5 mats and parts (you still get a lot of g4 mats and a little less g4 parts). and if youre not aiming for a g5 unc or rare ship, then youre a little stuck with a g4 rare which was ok a year ago, but you see the hostiles we got to kill these days? its only going to get tougher so the value of a g4 rare will slowly decrease (assumed). either camp at 50 and build a g4 epic to a reasonable tier (like 7+ and win some weekend slbs doing so, because you wont be using g4 parts again unless its to support future slbs) or continue to 51 without the epic to start building mats and parts for the g5 ships. once youre 51, you will be in the 51-60 slb bracket or worse? (only 51 myself a month ago and a t9 trib)

Lots of players on my sever skip the G4 epics entirely because they are a black hole for mats. Most people on my server stick with the G4 rare of choice and work to Ops 53 and get the G5 UC ship. The 53s are far superior to the G4 epics in that you only need 150 shards to unlock and once built they don't eat up the mats quite like the G4 epics do.

I will caveat that lots of people use the ISS jelly scrap loop to build an Ent A, which is then scrapped to help with the Ent D.

The intoduction of more powerful speciality ships has meant that skipping the G4 epic is totally doable without any real stress (unless you did as Scopely asked and rushed up, then your screwed sorry)

The Syndicate Contracts events are a waste of Scopely's time and money. Players who buy things would just buy a special syndicate pack in the store. Players who don't will not buy the tokens for the events. Therefore, Scopely has wasted money creating an event series that has no purpose. It could instead have been the free RNG claim and one special paid pack in the store, which would have taken a lot less to create and implement.

Realistically, the Syndicate Contracts events might result in less sales, because you have to buy something and then complete mundane tasks to get what you paid for.

I suggest the employees and internal Scopely resources for Syndicate Contracts be reassigned to something more useful.

Took 8 restarts and 5 hrs, but the Test of Honor finally completed. I do have a question about that event for the low level folks - how are the level 22-25 supposed to even try it when they don't even have access to Faction ships and how do you expect them to hit level 40-44 hostiles?

You dont need to hit 40-44 hostiles to complete test of honor. Defeating 20-22 hostiles awards 3 points, etc.
Youre only looking at Hostiles #2, thats why. Gotta ask yourself why its #2

I would agree there, but CotA isn't so much new as an annoying rework of old new officer gain SLBs, with extra old SLBs folded in, better rewards than the pointless Ortegas Meta, but not really new. Though why 44- should suffer by having it removed I have no idea. Take away the chance to get new officers and you'll lose everyone who thinks ahead in this game.

The only new content is the Aggregate stuff, which is at least less grindy (at G4, I gather it gets incredibly grindy at G5+) than the last couple of new things, but not in any way interesting.

and you are dead right about officer sourcing as soon as people realize they are expected to slog through 45-50 levels of outdated content that really can't be rushed without compromising gameplay I would think new players will quit because it's play stfc 2021 or rush to the scopely approved ops and have no officers and a bunch of time gates to work around

Sorry, I completely forgot the new Ferengi thing was the only way to get ships faster than 100 days, and 44- is screwed on that too. It is absolutely ridiculous, and while I love helping the people in my Alliance of that level and giving them tips, if they don't change it back I would possibly start suggesting they don't bother.

End of arc event stores....bring them back. The Ferengi store is incomplete. If the Ferengi store is meant as a replacement it needs to offer everything the end of arc store did.

Scopely don't limit our options. You want people to spend on the passes, don't make them so narrow.

it's not a strategy for the long term just a way to grab some cash from new players who will mostly quit in frustration at being weak for their ops because they hit 45 in a month or two or faster

The rewards/effort ratio for events has been on a steady decline for quite some time, but it's hit an absurd low at this point. This is a problem for nearly all events, but LBs are particularly bad. Nobody wants to waste their time competing for meaningless rewards. The ALB this go around is really bad, and the Armada destruction SLB is a joke. I can get more crests from a single P1ATA than the rewards for 1st place in that SLB. The rewards for the top 10 players should be 10s of thousands of crests since the effort require far outweighs running a P1ATA.

And don't get me started on the mat spends...

Two events. One is the weekly (in other words rarer I didn't say gone), the other is a special ALB. My focus was more on things that were not too long ago being a little more regular.

As for all players, you need to work on bug fixing, memory leaks, and either reverting back to end-of-arc event stores that everyone liked or adding the missing items from those event stores into the new Ferengi Event Stores. My account is nearly 9 months old and I STILL haven't been able to buy my first additional FC slot, and it's really grinding my gears! 😠

Yeah, this is a huge problem. Even with completing the weekly Xindi event, it takes between 6 weeks to 4 months to be able to do a single research node. I haven't even looked at how many years it'll take to complete the research tree at that rate, but it's likely measured in decades. That's simply awful sourcing. Nothing should take that long. I'm not asking for instant gratification, but make things reasonable to acquire. There's little more that will get a player to quit a game than unobtainable goals. Personally, my playing time has gotten less and less with each new ops level in G6. Frankly, it's boring not being able to feel like you're making progress with anything which actually matters.

Alliance Tasks need a refresh. It's getting to the point where there are tasks that are "grind a bazillion hostiles", "spend money", or ones that can't be done anymore like "spend uncommon/common ex-borg credits". The last one is a real issue. It needs more variety. You don't want us to be saving currencies so we progress, don't make tasks that encourage it while being stingy with rewards. I'd like some 10k tasks that require defeating like 10 or 15 borg/jemhadar solos. I know a lot of us have loads of those directives. Include the uncommon solos too. Most of the time the tasks involve the rares. Maybe even defeating like 5 type 3/3.1 solos. Vary the scoring by level or simply by the type.

While you're at it, increase how many tasks are available at a time. That way we have to choose between that one good one and that other good one rather than trying to beat our alliance mates to that one good one that everyone wants.

Also, some don't make sense for their task to reward ratio. Like the Isolytic Artifacts one. "spend 35,000 isolytic artifact tokens" for 750 points and no store tokens? That's insanely disproportionate. That should be an 8k task at least that gives a moderate amount of tokens at least. Spending 12,000 common ex-borg credits is 1,500 points and is vastly easier than acquiring 35k iso artifact tokens because you can have 12k common credits so much faster than the time it takes to save those tokens.

Oh yeah, and fix the icons for some of them. The "spend premium artifact tokens" task has the temporal disruptors in the image instead of premium artifact tokens. The ones involving Ex-Borg credits has the research icon (both the task and the details), it should be one with said credits in it (I know the images exist). C'mon.

Wave event for ops 60 requires level 60 solo waves. Which are intended for g6. I know this is how these started but this should be time enough after all these months to realize this design is bad.

There is a "KNOWN" bug with waves - it can be either solo or group waves where you can randomly get booted out and returned to base - not only resulting in wasted time with no wave rewards...but you also lose your wave directives - and now there is an SLB/ALB

You can avoid losing your directives, at least in solos. View the wave system (it will let you because it thinks you're still there), select the central entitiy, then select leave. It has happened to me twice, so I can confirm it works. It may not solve the problem, but at least it preserves your directives.

Member scores contribute to an alliance's score in the leaderboard. That leaderboard has different rewards depending on how your team performs. The member score leaderboard shouldn't be considered competitive, it's just a way to track member participation.

Regarding the tasks, you should not be competing against your teammates for the tasks. You should be cooperating. The highest performing teams would be doing that, and sorting tasks to people so that the team's score is the best it can be.

They pop up they get taken by the first person to see them. There is no allocation system. It's a free for all from the same pool, perhaps this was how the system was intended but it's definitely not how it works in reality, this is mainly because there are individual rewards attached to each task completed. The highest scoring alliances are those who have every player high enough to be doing 10k tasks.

The idea that they are all co operating together is farcical.

G6 players have been able to do the common mat obtain tasks with choice rewards. It should be trivial for them to do those tasks when they come up and roll off bad ones. In that process, they'll come to f2p-capable tasks, and with leadership, they can get it allocated to any that need them. This churning process should provide the entire team with an easy allotment of 10k tasks for anyone that needs them.

I don't dispute that the top scoring alliances have every member able to do any 10k task thrown at them, f2p or otherwise all the other lower scoring tasks are simply ignored. This isn't really a product of good leadership or teamwork though is it? - Why would someone take an 8k tasks when they can do a 10k one?

In any case, I think when there are leaderboards they promote internal alliance competition for most alliances, whether that's intentional or not.

I'm not quite sure why the SLB's are still random when two players have the same score, it's surely a relatively simple thing to correct by ordering them based on the order they were obtained?

That's a way to order them, but it's not the "correct" way as if there was one. Time-based placing matters in a race, when everyone starts at the same time. But this game isn't a race, and players from all around the world are playing at different times of the day. Let players put out their best efforts, and ties are handled by the rng. Anyone who isn't satisfied with that, can put in more effort to break the tie themselves.

There's been a massive lack events that were actually engaging and fun for all members of our alliance rather than just a focus on the new Arc and specialty spend events, and kill 20 aggregation hostiles, this is 2 arcs in a row that are severly lacking. Where we the events that the lower levels in my alliance could actually participate in?

2. Specialty ship upgrade and research upgrade, (Specifically the research upgrades the crucible or chronicles or whatever it is, only for new ships but just tell us hey we are never running events for ship research ever again)
3. Specialty Buildings upgrade, (Again just tell us hey never going to do events for your old legacy buildings and focus on the monthly crucible)

What is the definition of a mess. A mess is a disorganization that someone other than the original person has to clean up. But really there should be a small note applied. What Syndicate level are you? Because looking at the Syndicate progression chart the jump between very high levels is indeed around 2M. It’s starts around level 45.

Points and shards are different...I misspoke when I said points, meant shards. The event rewarded syndicate officer shards. In-game level movement requires around 760k shards to move up. The event rewards were around 2M shards. I should have jumped a couple levels.

The rewards for some of these recent events and SLBs have just been awful. This is another one of those awful rewards. I’m not sure if the designers just don’t play the game or if it’s a deliberate insult, either seems likely at this point.

Temporal disruptors are not in short supply these days. But even if you wanted that to be the reward, then 1st place should be in the order of 100k or so and then scale downward from there. So back to, no matter how you look at this, it’s ridiculous

No scoring for UC Borg Solos, and also Rare Solos 200 directives x 100 points =20k points and Epic Solos 500 x 100 points= 50k points. Yet no matter which one you do you only score 10k points. <@&509691205798592532> through testing we have figured out the culprit, while scoring doesn't happen using a regular ship on Borg Solos there is a glitch in the point allowance that rewards points to Rares and Epic Solo Borg Spheres if done with the Revenant ship which is why I was able to score. Any testing done on those borg solos will not be successful if not using the ship. I had another player test different systems and different ships due to being out of directives to SS myself but as you can see there is scoring on these particular armadas when there shouldn't be.

I think rewards need to be looked at for these between arc activities. Fatu Krey SMS gives a total of 11249 syndicate XP for all milestones. When there are 15M+ XP between the 55+ ranks, the rewards seem kind of ridiculous. Why not scale for syndicate level or update them completely?

So, I placed first in the Resources and Resolve SLB, which awarded 200 Strategema tokens, but the Play to Win/Draw event stores got taken down, so I cannot cash them in. Those stores awarded tournament credits, but also tournament points, which would have affected the outcome of the tournament, which ended before the SLB did. I put a lot of time and effort into that SLB. How is that to be resolved?

I saw the post addressing the tournament itself and the lack of a reward, but this has not yet been addressed. This SLB awarded tokens that reward tournament points(and tourney store credits) after the tournament was "over". A not insignificant amount of tournament points (up to 30k...).

Now with the event store for trading these tokens gone because the tournament is over, some of us have these tokens sitting around that should have counted for the tournament and for giving tournament store credits

It would be much appreciated if this was at least acknowledged.

The new officer pass is utterly useless. Most people have those officers already, and don't even want to tier them.
Previously, you gave SUPER USEFUL Officer Depot tokens.
But now, someone made a dumb decision to go back on that... Maybe thinking you get more packs sold? Nope, it'll just make more people quit and not buy anything anymore.
Please start thinking and asking players, maybe making polls, before you make such decisions.

You have a chance to redeem yourself and make... another pass with depot tokens, along with another one with the ferengi store for ship BPs. This is what players want. Especially new players, who had no chance in the past to get officers such as Tolra/Byr/Toli due to simply not yet playing when these were "current officers", and can do that only via the depot. They don't want any more WOK Scotty or WOK Saavik, they were playing 2 months ago already and already have all three WOK officers! They want older ones that are no longer easily available, and that are way more useful for multiple purposes!

Feeding us useless "fixed officers" is a horrible idea.

This happened to me once, during the 1st invasion. A ticket did get my directives back. While I agree the game shouldn't let you start a mada you can't make it to (I suspect their calculation doesn't account for the 10 second timer in which you can't join once started), the only real fix is to not start the mada until you're closer to it.

As for the ticket, tell them the mada didn't trigger combat.

Again lost solo directives when game lagged me out. That is about the 5th time. It's ridiculous. This has been happening since the new unity update and last I looked was not in known problems even though widely known.

Btw, my cloud flare status is great for all 3 metrics so whatever you are doing today is screwing up and lagging everything so much so that many tasks are not completing on collect now that I'm trying to do that. If you are gonna be this bad, take the client down for maintenance so we don't get screwed.

A lot of months for Incursions there is one Alliance who has 3 or 4 of it's members give up the most points to the other server. And we've had times where other Alliances got upset and declared war on them in the aftermath

So my idea 💡...

Make the scoreboard such that everyone can see which Alliance is giving up the most points to the other server during Incursions

As an aside you should make it clear when a real person is replying and when a bot is replying. Anything else is an abuse of humanity.

So....for the 20-44 All Hands! Heroic - for a range that includes 23 specialty ships - only 1 40+ ship counts for scoring and the rest have OPs locks, so if you've already hit that you get nothing. No credit for the Reliant for anyone. No credit for the Squall for people who spent to get it. Absolutely nothing for the 40+ crowd except the Relativity. I honestly, genuinely want to know why you are doing everything in your power to make people quit this game. "Oh, you should just OPs up!" being the fault response, followed by "Why did you OPs up so fast and skip officers, artifacts and research?" being the follow up when people are upset at the difficulty of the content. "we're going to give G3 and G4 a more targeted experience" - by focusing on irrelevant content? By leaving them out of Copy/paste battle Passes that can easily be given to them? They just tell us it is random because they don’t know what the sorting system is. And they are too lazy to actually figure it out. I’m sure they don’t run a randomizing algorithm over the results list to randomize it so they rely on some inherent ordering of they results database/list but because they don’t strictly apply an order on tied results they call it random.

It's random because a senior dev stated it was random. The words of the people who actually have a hand in the crafting of the game have more weight than philosophers talking about what is truly random, psuedorandom, or "inconsistent." The crux of the discussion isn't in that realm, it's whether or not players have any agency in affecting a tied score, and they do not. The game will tie break how it does, it's not based on first-to-score or last-to-score.

NSEA blueprints "time-locked", in the end, I managed to get 58, despite having scrap for 100 to complete the ship.
Several hours of grinding wasted cause I wanted to win the SLB to get enough credits which are now utterly useless simply because Scopely did not inform beforehand that the BPs are "limited availability"...
Every time, I don't think this can get any worse, and then it does.

403 not playing the incursion for a third time in a raw feels like a raw deal. I understand we merging into 404 on monday, but getting announced in the pairings just to give it to them in the end feels bad.

You don't get planetary charts from Khan's favor, but your overall point is still valid. I can get nearly as many planetary charts from my daily Augment chest pulls as the top reward in this event, so why on earth would I struggle to compete for the top rewards when I can get basically the same amount daily anyway? Not to mention planetary charts cap at a mere 5000. In short, the rewards for this event aren't worth 30 secs of my time, let alone a competitive grind against other players.

The ALB isn't much better. 300 premium dust isn't anything, and a single command badge is downright insulting. Badges are not LB rewards worthy at all.

Starting the solo mada gives 10k points, however... when defeating it with the ship it still gives 10k points instead of 2x as described. I just confirmed... when using relativity or revenant... the 2x points upon defeating doesn't actually give 2x the points, rather just mirrors the points gained when starting.

The rewards (Syndicate XP I assume?) are problematic so long as RSLB's and SMS events for Ops lvl 70 players for Vengeance bps reward players for acquiring Syndicate XP. You can read between the lines that they've sold quite a number of Syndicate packs

Vengeance bps events are spend events. Letting players grind (or worse: bot) their way to those rewards is not what they're looking for

And you can't take FKR rep event away for just one Ops lvl. So they haven't been running that event at all for anyone

That's why they won't run it until rewards are revamped

At least removing it you can cross over and if you find nothing go home and find them. Overall Incursions should really just go the way of Flashpoints. Younger ops levels can get bps in a battle pass, those who have it unlocked can get events to speed up progression or, dare I say it, get new research nodes, legacy or new skins, etc.

End of the month, unlock mastery if not already so it can get put away for some of us who don't need it anymore.

And you can have a month which can focus on polishing the bugs for those ships and mechanics (if any). And we get a break from shoving new content down our throats.

PS: to fix the Stella going into the IA, you need to have a research node to unlock it. That way people engage with scrapping it over and over again, but can finally put Rogue Faction away.

if they actually wanted players clustered in 45+ or 51+ or whatever then they are going to have to speed up or outright give the special ships to players the second they hit the ops to build them. award key officers at critical ops levels or run a lot more token events. remove multi month time gates from older reps and older buildings that have key power elements like artifacts locked behind them. have a faster rep catch up than the dti loop and that is an incomplete list

they are doing exactly none of that and have in fact removed chronicle as a source of event store currency and new officers and removed token slb/sms from 44- (as of this past weekend they had no spend event of any kind for sub 45)

it might get them a little more money from people who have no idea how much there is to actually catch up on and maybe new players will be content to spend a year or more playing old content but they certainly aren't going to stick around to play mantis centric or whatever centric arcs for the 10+ speciality ships that come into the game at 30+

Care to elaborate what was made up? 🤔 A lot of the big "meta" rewards last month, for sub 45, were for SNW Ortegas, who is not at all integral to people ops'ing up or making any progress. Plenty of folks documented that.

There was no choice reward SLB this last weekend, despite that being a regular occurrence, and something that 45+ did get.

Sub 45 did not get the Chronicles of Ascendent meta, which historically is a great soruce of goodies.

Sub 45 did not get the Ferengi battle pass / event store last month despite previously getting that, and despite that pass running last month (but only for 45+). That event store is also a great source of ship parts and officers and premium items.

So I'm not sure why you're trying to gaslight here, but none of the above is in dispute or question. For some reason you might not think it's a big deal, and you're entitled to your opinion. But those are the facts 🤷‍♂️

So while sub 45 got a "tailored" experience if you want to call it that, the ACTUAL thing people are complaining about is how terrible and garbage that experience was. I'd seriously consider doing this if it gave 50 shards per level and other goodies. 10 is just ridiculous considering the rewards we used to get from weekly spend events. I won the XSLB for SNW James Kirk 2 weeks in a row for going up a few ops, and that got me to rank 2, not halfway to 1 plus 62.5 epic shards.

I hate to break this to you and the few others that said the same as you, but, scopely focusing new content on a certain ops+ has ALWAYS been a thing for years. I remember being in the 30's back when the Voyager Arc released and not being able to interact with the new stuff. It is what it is. If you want to experience the new stuff, currently you want to get to at least ops45 (though realistically ops51). If you don't want to/can't do that, accept that fact and play the content you have at your ops. 🤷🖖

Upgrade Operations (Heroic) event is not encouraging advancement....it encourages buying.
