I do love how when you have a ship at base being repaired or tiered up and you want to see about upgrading the officers on it , it says the officer is deployed even though the ship is at the freaken base talk about stupidity

My 4* kenetic shockwave said 7 days all morning long I just went and spent 7days worth of lat to speed it up and it jumped up to 80 days!!!! I don’t get that one scopley . Unfortunately I didn’t take screenshots of what I needed and the result after didn’t think I would get cheated there but I should’ve known that’s what’s scopley about is cheating and forcing people to spend more money by any means they can .fyi what happened to being able to edit messages so they can be posted if one hit a button by accident and since when is posting one letter a bad thing? My thumb is big and buttons are small so easy to hit things by accident

Probably already said here, but the mastery claim for the Talios does not include Epic Borg Hugh. Once you master the Talios this removes the primary source of obtaining Hugh shards.

Hugh is not part of the Talios shards, his shards are in the Epic solo exchange which is still there. Talios Mastery removes the Expansion Cube Exchange and is even better because you get daily pulls instead of weekly.

And what happens if you try the smart speed-up when you have none left? I just tried it and got a bunch of error and then the button was gone completely.
Why can't it use latinum? This way it's only functional as long as you have speedups and then you are back to square one.

Problem witn speed ups was how many small big and diffrent u had Doing manually is pain smart speed up is nice ( good tip don't use smart speed up if you don't want to )

Was that such a big issue though? If you had a 100d build you wanted to speed up, you could just pull the 3 hour slider all the way and bam that's 100 days for you.
To me the whole QOL improvement was that I don't have to pull sliders, it's just one click and it's done. So if I still have to use sliders when I'm out of speedups, then it's - well not completely useless, but loses half of the point of the whole button..

No it is not most people have so many types of speee up 1 hour 15 min 3 hour 5 hour 8 hour using so many efficiency becomes a issue why speee up when you using lat you just type days in 1 day and use it and many like me don't even to waste or speed up using only lat i wanna efficiently use my speed up then lat

Why can't I have the same efficiency for lat then.
If we are fixing an issue to which the answer is - pull one type of a speedup all the way to the end, even if it takes you lat when you run out of said speedup and you are done. Then next build you pick the next type, all the way to end and done.
Now when I'm out of all, I still do the same with 1d or 3h speedups, but it's just for lat.

• witn small speed up they cost you more so no one wanna waste lat on those you had to be carefully select how much u have because slider just keeps going and it cost lat combine that with so many type of speed up we had thats a real pain
• in case of speed up with 1 day / lat u don't have to worry about wasteing either u can take it just to very end and don't worry about wasteing stuff or like most of us do type days

Well obviously you will waste lat that way, if you use the 1d slider using lat and you have a 3d 1h item. You do 4 days and waste 300lat

Using Defiant, Cerritos or Titan buffs on a ship causes it to appear destroyed though I can see it still in the system. It remains non-responsive until the repair button is pressed. Again, it's still in the system.

Yeah, but when it does that, it doesn't work. I did exactly that, confirmed to everything it asked for -> resulted in a bunch of errors, something something could not finish and then the Smart button disappeared completely.
Yes it did come back when I got more speedups, don't worry 😄
But no, it doesn't use lat, that's my point. Give us that option that it already is doing but fails to do.

Yeah, there is already the lat spend confirm button (option in settings), so it can't just automatically use all your lat if you run out of speedups. It's just that the smart speed doesn't allow the use of lat even if you do confirm - and the button goes away when you don't have any speedups, so this is as is intended behaviour. Change it, thanks 🙂

Is alliance tournament thing going to be coming back or did scopley give up on it? I s as sk for I find the rewards there far better the arena rewards. Was much I don’t really care for doing for it is severely unbalanced matches. Bracketed for ops doesn’t work when with in those bracketed you have whales with ships in the 100k or mor range against ones in 40k range. For fair matching it should match ships, tech , and ops at least . Since many don’t have a lot of the tech especially primes or even ships do to them being faction locked . Arena should be fairly done matching taking in all things to determine a fair matching where results of win can go either way not a one sided matching which is what happens in most cases

I have the building maxed at 39, and the only place I can see where are the epic amarda packs. However I don't buy directives, so never have enough for the level 40 upgrade regardless past that. Or are they only needed to get the building to lvl 40. Just wondering if sourcing could be added else where as a secondary option.

Maybe a rare version of the armada tactical core bunded on the alliance tab.

So I kill 8472 with Voyager for an hour and no points for the Explorer Hunter event. I don't like it when there are a million exceptions (I don't know how many there are and I don't even care) and they are not written in the description. A really big problem is that only fkr hostiles are counted. I have no problem completing the event, but I don't like incomplete information. The main thing is that I couldn't get rid of the unnecessary message yesterday that the +90% warp speed bonus ended for maybe an hour. Twice today my ship was on the edge of the system, but already at the bottom of the screen it showed me that it was already mining.

I have a puzzle for you. Try sending a Monaveen (or any ship that can kill something in Texas) to AFK there and see what happens to your event points.
Then come back and explain to me why your voyager didn't score in the situation you described.

And if you are not keen on puzzles, the answer is that the game checks if the attacking ship was an explorer. When you kill 8472 with voyager, the attacking ship is not an explorer. Manually kill a hirogen with voyager and you do score.
Same situation for Monaveen in Texas space, the hunters there are explorers and even as your Monaveen is a battleship, it scores for the event.
There is no limit or exceptions in terms of what you can kill, when you take this tiny caveat into account.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is an optimal way to do this. It just is what it is 😛
And probably something Scopely should consider fixing.

I only counted fkr hostiles and swarms. I don't count xindi and 8472 hostiles. God knows what counts and what doesn't, I won't look for it, it's not worth it to me. I attacked with the Explorer every time. Fixing Monaveen, I was struggling with it before the event. I have better things to do than researching what, where, why, how, when to kill, in the description it is written that killing a host with Explorer is counted without exceptions, so I see it as a mistake and deceiving the players. Voyager is not an explorer? since when?

Well, you don't need to research. I just told you, everything you attack with explorer scores. I just tried Xindi, scores. Voyager on hirogen, scores. Freebooters, scores.
You just need to be the attacker, not having a non-explorer hunter attack you.

I didn't care for the xindi aquatic, but it doesn't matter. So it doesn't seem to me that I'm not an attacker. But with the 8472, I understand. Fortunately, there are other systems where it counts.

It will get easier to get armada credits after you have a g4 rare. Getting the acc tiered up is a very slow process though you only need to get up to 45 to enter g5, and then the sourcing is dramatically better.

<@&509690795536941056> Can someone tell me what the 8,000 augment credits are for that you get in the archives. It said something abt tiering officers up but that is the independent credits. Also, on a side note, Scopely really needs to up their Independent credits give out in the various things. The amounts made sense when the only officers that needed them were the augment/rogue officers but the number of officers that need independent credits has grown and, without looking closely, I think the number of officers that need independent credits is second only to number of Fed officers needing Fed credits. Hands down, the highest number of officers I have sitting in limbo are the ones that need independent credits. Some more than five months. (And don’t mention you can use Latinum for it…..not at Scopely’s exchange rates)

If you go through the officers section and select an officer and go in to the traits, and look at the top of the screen, you can see your inventory of trait attribute materials.
If you are in the away team section and want to start an away team, add an officer select info on the officer, upgrade, then you can get to the trait section, however it no longer shows the trait inventory. Please fix this.

@wide juniper your forgetting Dailly Kills, Daily Mining, Daily Rep all give Negative rep still. so that 50K not going to change anything. Unless your doing all 3 factions and keeping them at say 1st lock forever . But to get to 2nd lock on 50K a day would take 54 years

it's based on average ops, that looks about right to me. yes your average is slightly lower, but still within the range, just unlucky really. I've found the matchmaking is much better now, and it hardly takes longer either.... rare but deserved kudos to Scopely for actually listening to player feedback, may it continue 🍻

then low ops will never beat high ops, with good strategy low ops players can beat the high ops in arena easily. Rem Arena is not a PVP event its a PVE event with PVP Prevention tactics

that's an edge case, the majority of the time, 90%+ easily, it's pvp when a person 8-10 levels above you has a ship that can cross the system in 2 seconds, doesn't matter how many pve hits you make, you're loosing. even if they button down and decide on pve, higher levels move faster and can in theory make more hits anyways. Not a real way to compete with people 5+ levels higher than you, it's a shutout.

We have had this 5 times in a row. Nothing has changed, The rounds are either you win 1000 / 0 or they win 1000 / 0 their is no even matches. Compared to last week nothing has changed.

As long as they dont have a faster speed crew, you can easily beat the higher ops +6 lvls ahead of you. Rem PVP gives only 5 points, and you have a 2 min repair time, so pvp to win is bad tactic. 1 speed crew running around and joining a rare armada they started gets 300 points. Doesn't matter how strong the other player is, you do those rares they will lose. If your outmatched focus on speed crews

and if they have a speed crew that take you out with a sneeze, you'll loose all those armadas you start, you won't hit many pve cause their level 5+ speed crew can take you out, happens all the time. I've seen players with ops level and score lower than mine with an 800m nsea just taking out the biggest players from my team... in that case the level didn't matter, raw ship power of one ship prevented an entire team from scoring.

This is why scopely needs to add a "Forfeit" button, when its clear you have no chance winning, why do we need to sit their and wait for them to get 1000 or timer to reach 0. just forfeit the game.

Exactly!!!!!!!! Since just because someone is in the same ops bracket doesn’t mean they have a chance.doing matches by ops bracket’s alone it will never ever be a fair matching. Higher the ops in that bracket the better tech and ships they will have. Fair play matching is going to acount for all these things not just be based on a stupid ops bracket that promotes bullying from whales who can annihilate any low ops with ease just because their tech and ships are better and they bought all the primes. What arena is doing is basically what Roman’s in ancient times did with deformed infants and just slaughtering them without a chance. Having pve in at same time as pvp doesn’t make any since or difference since whales will just hit everyone and everything massacring with barely even taking a scrach. Arena is one big joke that doesn’t work and only benefits the whales. Much rather do the tournament stuff find it better and the rewards far mor worth the while.

the new matchmaking is fine. if you play it slow and have your research and stuff according to your ops lvl it's very well possible to beat a 50 with a maxed ship. my pilum trashes even many of the g5 53s ships and i have bought only one single prime so far.
but joining arena is not garanteeing that you win. if you only loose maybe you should work on your research, ships, officers and other stuff.

I get so sick and tired of dealing with this kind of stuff every day several times a day scopley . This sucks half the fun out of the game , the other half is from the unfairness of game play that gives all advantages to those who buy everything. You literally built your own Grand Canyon of unfair game play between free to play and pay to win . In all my years of experience playing video games mobile , pc and console I have never seen this big of a void between free to play and pay to win . You literally have it like having a fixed boxing match between an amateur new comer going against a veteran championship boxer and paying that veteran to take a fall for that’s the only way the amateur boxer going to win. This is why I say pvp of today isn’t pvp it’s just a cash cow fight between money and money. Very vain. I remember when pvp was about skill getting together with friends and family in friendly competition on the coach where you can see their faces . Now since internet and companies seeing they can get rich from it , it’s just a waist of time and money if you’re willing to blow it, that and cheat codes. It’s why so many story games went to pieces and companies bankrupt . Play one pvp you played them all no originality no imagination. Pvp just copy paste make few edit changes and done.

Guess scopley changed this where the only way to get it now is to do every single ticketed event instead of most of them. Last time I got this I didn’t have to do all of them just most. Guess now you have to do every single ticketed event and can’t miss one. I did every day and most every day only missed the dominance one for I had no way of completing it since I couldn’t upgrade anything. So much for saving up the tickets to do this blue ticket event 💩.

Yeah scopley I’ll believe your so called more fair arena matching when I see it. To be honest I don’t think you understand the concept of fair play. Since if a player is within your ops bracket it doesn’t necessarily mean he has a ship that can be in its 100ks . Since it’s one thing to have ops within a lvl bracket and another for them to have factions locked in higher tiers or them have prime tech. Since if tech isn’t the same and ship access isn’t the same even though in ops lvl bracket results will still be an unfair matching. Since tech brackets will be very different as well as faction level brackets. Unless all sources of strength and power looked at for match making it will still be several unbalanced. In dungeons and dragons it’s more the die roll then the bonuses. You roll a natural crit of 20 you generally still win even after all bonuses calculation roll a crit fail of 1 you generally lose despite all bonuses calculation . So in d&d you still have chance though very small chance despite lvl. Not so in stfc which is far crazier rules with math that’s messed up. I say messed up since an officer with no officer abilities in captain chair can beat a maxed out officer with captain abilities. That’s some very messed up math ruling .

Scoring counted, it’s just when you get massacred by pay to win players in it your scoring winds up being useless. I think a choice between weither it’s going to be a pve or a pvp arena battle would make more since rather then it being both where the whales will just kill everything pve and pvp alike where the ones that get placed with them just get massacred with no real hope of doing anything. That and this so called free repair I find sucks . Multiple times I click repair and it’s just a long wait for the ship to repair not at all how the arena read. But it doesn’t really matter to me. Arena sucks the rewards for arena sucks . Maybe check it out once in a blue moon otherwise I couldn’t care less for it. Simple long and short of arena is it’s just another way for them to milk more money out of their pvp cash cow. It’s why over half the events are cash cow events. Impossible for free to play to do since In order to do them you have to buy the chaos tech wether it is the bundles or the bp . What’s funny you read their site it makes it out like it’s easier then the q s trial ones which as a free to play player I can say the old q trial tech ones are far easier to get since I’m not going to spend a penny for let alone 50 to $100 for 1 single chaos tech. Yeah there was a day when tournaments worked. Or at least I never had no issues with tournaments. My biggest issues with tournaments was either I click the wrong thing to start or someone else would change it and I click the wrong thing. I think tournaments biggest problem is when one in alliance Change it to get what they wanted it changed it for all. Other then that I had no issues . Especially no issues when I did late at night early morning when most others are off sleeping.

Arena is just like any other games pvp designed to be a cash cow nothing more nothing less. I quit buying and playing cod all because they jumped on that pvp cash cow . It’s why assassin creed original story line got screwed up and many of them went to heck . Also why fallout 76 sucks for a series that was always single player went straight pvp jumping on the pvp cash cow. I quit buying Bethesda games after that and they’re putting a weight limit In a game that never had one before with a broken one sided op out of pvp feature. That was last straw for me on those so I boycotted Bethesda haven’t even played any of the ones I own not even installed anymore. I don’t mind some pvp from time to time but can’t stand unfair ones and forced ones.

Hi STFC team, it's unfortunate how many players are currently quitting or are about to quit. It's also shocking that the reason for this is the same for almost everyone (see text in attached screenshot). This should give you something to think about because you won't improve it for reasons like this if you keep adding new content to the game that involves more daily work.
You at STFC and Scopely don't seem to be concerned with the question of why so many advanced players quit. If the lower limit of players you have set is reached on a server, simply merge this server with another server where it is exactly the same. You don't seem to want to worry about why so many advanced players quit.

I get why alliance tournaments are a one-two month break apart. They have primes and refit galore in there, so they have to be a little slower. It’s funny looking back . The first 3 yrs of this game I spent no money at all. When I started spending I bought Bo almost every month, even the flash pass when it came out and a few times on tc pass . But this last year I haven’t really spent anything on it. My view for spending went back to how it was the first year of the game. More of an addictive curiousity than any real desire. With the constant kicking out and freezing and other glitches been getting more turned off and discussed with the game then I am with intrigued curiosity of what’s next. Every new update comes with a dread knowing things are going to get worse then getting better.. perhaps I should check out nova empire again or stellaris. At least the later of those to I should be able to play on console system as well. Rate scopley going I can see the game becoming dead , no one has faith in scopley fixing anything. I see a lot of complaining about the match making from the 40s to early 50s, however as a 59 I found the matching making was exceptional. With regard to the archive building. There is a lot abt it I like but, as I stated before, what are we supposed to use the augment credits on. Also, with the faction store, you could choose to get something or not get something. With the pull it is random. You need to have an option for people to opt out of BB building parts and Hijacked ship parts. In some ways it is kind of silly. You have to have maxed BB in order to obtain mastery. In theory, with the pulls there should be no reason to need to build a second BB so why do we need those parts. As far as the hijacked ships, personal opinion, those need to be retired. I do NOT want yet more bp to them to gather dust.

Scopely used to give out an unlock of the rare officer for free-to-play folks every arc. They then switched it to where you had to buy the $20 battle pass to unlock the rare officer. Recently, they made it so that even the $20 battle pass doesn't unlock the rare officer (this is why I've stopped giving you money) and you have to buy additional packs. Now they take away any ability for a free-to-play or low spending player to gain epic shards. On top of all this they have completely abandoned any uncommon officers. Scopely is saying that if you're not willing to give them hundreds or thousands a month, don't bother playing. Message received.

When it was possible to open the Treasury Lockbox last time, I converted the Broken Rod to Desealing Rod but kept the other Lockbox. But I don't have a Desealing Rod, so I lost one Lockbox for nothing. A player gets something and it doesn't last a month in the inventory. The main thing is that I have items in my inventory that I will never use again, leftovers from events that are not repeated in the same reward. In the past, there were no officers, so I didn't open it.

After completing the Botany Bay Line, you lose the complete Augment Shop and your daily Botany Bay claim does not give you officer XP for uncommon augment officers (the green ones) that you have already sourced. That was the case, when I pulled them through the daily augment chest, which was my main reason for that. So you lose a whole source of officer XP. Gorn ship is not well balanced. It needs to give bigger bonuses for volatile isomatter or have stronger damage bonuses against gorn so that you can punch up with it. Running a cardassian event while the F-K invasion is going on shows a lack of caring or just pure stupidly.

Completing the Botany archive removes the ability to claim officers. That can be useful for recruitment events. We get hijacked bps and can't get plutonium from the store either. Not that hijacked ships matter since they can't be scrapped.

My ship kept getting stuck in combat during a wave.. sometimes it was for an extra second or 2. Other times it was 20 to 40 seconds. We also had no idea if the base was hit because the counter show 20, right up until we lost.

15 to 20% of the time when I target the next hostile while in combat the attack button just remains grayed out and I have to re-target the ship again.

Lag, crashing, and freezing are close to, if not at an all time high.

Customer support has declined to an abysmal level this year.

The amount of things that are paywalled increased, the number of events that are pay only has skyrocketed, requirements to complete sms events keeps ballooning.

Then there are the new events that are released broken. Broken as in buggy, poorly designed, or both. Some disappeared, some just remain broken.

I'm sure your hands are tied as to what you are allowed to divulge. But the lack of communication as to what is happening is insane. I've seen more people leave or quit spending this year than ever before. With the push to get everyone over level 40, it's gonna be hard to get new players to replace them.

My Botany Bay mastery daily rewards gives 130K Decoded Data. The Augment Faction Store has no means of converting any kind of Data to Augment Credits. I have 1.7 million Decoded Data and ZERO means of converting it to Augment Credits? Why?

Hope year 7 is going to be better, but more then likely going to be more of the same with high focus on trying to force people off their money rather then focusing on making the game fun and fair for all.scopley first year of armadas was great then the broke it severely just to make more money. As a fan of Star Trek though not as big of one as I am more of a Star Wars fan . I do strangely enjoy stfc though it could be far better and more fairly balanced. Correct. It’s meant to reduce the “necessary” loops that you outgrow, not that you don’t want to do. Augments and Vi’Dar are both done with by 35 or so, the Talios still has borg probe systems and Ops locks for much longer, Voyager is the same.

I checked event calendar on release day. I know it way before of the event start that a heroic SMS will come. Also sms was earlier announced than slb. All I had to do is to wait. Nobody forces you to spend all your materials on the first day of a 2 day event. Indeed it is tricky that the slb and sms have a 1 day delay, but honestly it is your fault that you couldn't wait.

Except the change was made what was in the event. That's the issue. Usually i don't worry about heroic events and you can barely participate in them f2p. Now they hid a recruit officer metric in one.
We have no way of knowing prior to event launch what will be required or where the payouts will land. Besides they constantly change event schedules, so that can't be relied on. I'll take the responsibility I could have waited, but I was busy most of yesterday and this morning, so got into the slb when I was on.

I give up the idea of getting Deridex as epic ship and join the Rotarran club. The game just forces everyone for this option.

1. Hull breach is much easier to get.
2. Neelix shard drops are way lower than Torres or Kim.
3. The biggest issue is the game doesn't give you epic ore! It comes only from some refinery. But events, battle passes only reward players with epic Crystal. And I didn't even mention that events reward the double amount of crystal.

It's the cost efficiency math, not 25% cost reduction.

The efficiency formula is 1 / (1 + sum of bonuses).

So 1 / (1 + 0.25) = 1/1.25 = 0.8.

This is true for all cost efficiencies.

As Burton said, the only things left in your Augment store are single purchase items. All items that reset daily have been removed, and instead you will get a daily pack in your Archives that you can open up in place of the Botany Bay archive section.

The only thing you don't get to replace the daily pulls from the augment store is corrupted data, which are not used for anything but the daily Augment turn in, so is no longer necessary anyway.

Yes you are correct. Any of the “chance of” items in a chest are still a chance of in the mastery chest. I would still call it better since it’s one button press vs multiple, and you don’t actually have to do anything else.
I’ve come to terms that maybe in another 6 years they’ll actually clean up our inventories. Until then it’s just more stuff of the items that already were in there already anyways.

One of the things I’ve never understood is why you get some missions very early just to find out that to do them you have to be able to get another one that’s lvl locked at a lvl 3x or more higher to where you have to wait years to get or spend boocoo amounts of money to get ops up to do it. I’ve got missions from start of the game that can’t be done tell you get ops like in 50’s because you can’t even get the missions that unlock the area you need to get in. .

The value of the hunt points needs to be reevaluated as well. A 5k task for hunting gorn would require 320 of same level gorn defeated. And you get no store currency for doing so. 👎🏻

Just going to drop the same criticism as before. Alliance Tournament Task Rewards should be tying Store Credit Rewards to the Tournament Points Rewards.

A 5k Hostile Hunt task should be earning the same or more store credits as a 4.4k Spend X Resource task. It earns zero.

Low point reward tasks should be in place so that low level ops can meaningfully contribute, yet we see these task slots filled with spending resources they do not have access to or needing to hunt hostiles that they cannot reach until well into OPS 30+ (Solo Madas, Xindi, Texas Class, ExBorg Creds, and so on)

While there has been improvement in Alliance Tournaments as a whole this is still a critical block of it's foundation that remains flawed in which fixing is more design space overhead instead of needing new assets or coding to manage like most of the improvements to Alliance Tournaments have needed.
