That is only an improvement for late G4 and G5 players. The rest of us still put in the same amount of effort.

Traveling is hard. Full 2 min trips back and forth. Wow so much easier. Now...
I was getting all the necessary loot in a single run already, but we shall see when I can pull next. This was a change that was absolutely UNNECESSARY!

It seems this is an ops level effect, 1 trip was enough to collect enough antimatter to do the full 3 chest with another 30-40k left over? š¤·āāļø

The problem here is higher Ops couldn't carry all of the antimatter they needed for a daily pull in a single cargo hold. Lower Ops had no issue with this. Reducing all amounts by 10x simply means higher Ops can now fit they daily requirements in a single trip. Lower Ops shouldn't notice a difference.
How about they fix all the crap that's wrong to begin with that people have been complaining about.

if updates need localization cache cleared to be seen, then why doesn't scopley add code to do on first startup after an update! Local device cache too.

really wish people would read up even by a page before posting š so much wasted space (including this comment about wasted space i guess, it's a paradox!). also it isn't just whales complaining, I've played this game for 4 years and I am 46 ops and I was affected by this issue, i don't spend much on this game
Thatās a two dimensional thought process. Weāre discussing it in GC but if you filled your cargo before dying (substantially so in some cases) you are far better off now. Youāre also far less appealing a target to your server thieves.
You kill same # of ships. 10x reduced cost, but 10x reduced loot. So, 1:1 ratio change. Only plus is no more travel time for cargo capacity. So.. that just chalks it up to no QA/QC. Again.
Completely agree, plus patch notes would be nice. The Alliance Starbase change seems stupid as well. Good old Scopely, can always rely on them to stuff up updates.

I mean could understand it if warp times to high warp dominion space were like DS. But they're nowhere near as bad, I can get ships out to the lvl 50 dominion system in 3-4 mins, equivalent DS system would be closer to 10 mins. Its not exactly wasting that much time for the high ops players to do 2x runs.

Guys your math doesn't add up.Reducing drops by 10x cancels out reducing cost by 10x, it will take just as long to grind for the antimatter.
But it shouldn't require multiple trips due to cargo capacity.
Reduce the costs sure but why reduce the loot drop so drastically?
So - those who've grinded to the max before this change, they now sit on a massive stockpile suddenly inflated in value x10..., or did you subtract a matching amount from player stockpiles to offset this potential imbalance ??
You just have to do 1 trip and not 3, 4 or even more
But less trips back and forth for those where you fill the cargo but don't die. Which at higher levels becomes increasingly more... to point in mid 50s you need to do 6-7 runs

OK so weren't happy initially but changes do seem to be ok. Just payed 9k for 3 boxes
Smaller numbers makes it seem easier. Makes it look good for those that just accept the updates instead of question the scopely math
For some people it changes little, the factor of the changes were identical so same number of hostiles need killing. For others its a good change, so people either arent effected or its a positive depending on ops level, ships available etc
Maybe it would have been received better of they had communicated the changes rather then let the Community guess.

Or it means I can do 4 days worth of grinding the loot in 1 trip as opposed to 3 trips for ones days loot...
So I could do 1 run with my ent and jelly, pull 200k cargo and be good for 3 days worth or so of max pulls for maybe 30 minutes worth of work. Level 40 hostiles now only drop 90 antimatter, haven't seen the costs yet cause of cooldown so unless it went from 50k down to 500 then I'll be spending more time grinding, not less.

Wait. Doesn't just reducing the amounts by the same amount, not do a thing? It's the same ratio, so the amount of grinding isn't going to change, just the numbers are lower.

I would like to something to point 2. Almost all players go for 1 strongest ship. So Battleship Strike Team were able to get La'an in SLB and now those that have a Interceptor, like me with Pilum, have to pay? I consider myself as a dolphin as well and this time I also bought the Elite Battlepass as well expecting to get Dukat at the end of the arc. Now it looks like it will cost at least an additional 200 EUR/USD. Basically that is discriminating between players due to their ship/faction choice.
I might spend some more during the SLB but then for the money you make game progress as well in station, research ships, now it is just 1 officer. And it takes away the fun to see to what tier you want to go to get enough or some more officer shards.

Because the cost is reduced by 90% for the exchange. I used to be able to get 170k+ normal cargo, it cost 420k for a full 3 pull. Now it costs 42k for a full pull, can get 4 days full pulls with 1 hull instead of 3 trips there for one days worth of pulls. Apparently your maths classes weren't great.
I need a math check here - if you reduce both the cost and the loot by the same factor, you have done nothing to make the threshold easier...
The maths is fine, the only saving here is in travel time. You still have to kill exactly the same number of hostiles assuming you have a ship with enough hull to do it in one trip. So its potentially just traded a cargo capacity issue for a hull health issue.
Communication scopley. Communication is key.
When you announce a maintenance (which you didn't do either) tell us why/what it's for so while the game is down we can share the information. It would of avoided a lot of what you are now dealing with.

You really needed to do only first part and leave alone second part. Its not easier, its literally the same, just one less trip and this is bs in current situation

That what caused the fire. Amost everyone can see the hostile reduction but not the refinery redution. Thats why any company put a release not.
It's not about making it easier to refine a full pull. What's easier is that higher ops players do not have to make as many trips (some 8-10 trips) just to earn enough loot for a full pull. From my understanding, higher ops players had to make multiple trips to Jem'Hadar space just to pull in enough loot for a daily full pull (which is what game designers suggest doing). Now they can do the same refine, but not waste time warping and going OPC so often.
This is what I was told. We'll see if this fixes the problem, or makes things worse. Either way, it's a terrible grind and my wife hates how much I play.

It is not easier for everyone. We not that special. It is easier for the whales. They donāt want to make 3 or 4 trips with full cargo someone can take. They want one trip. Like the new skin. They donāt want small players blowing up their precious miners. This is a whale update. Did they fix anything that was an issue for everyone, like lag or stuck hostiles? I have no issues with the refinery requirements being dropped, I'm good with that, but with another constant daily grind on top of the constant daily grind we already have, that same 200k cargo is going to take me 4 or 5 times as long to pull now, great, that let's me have 40 days worth of max pulls, assuming 5k per max, but even getting 5k is taking longer and doing the minimum required is a waste of time and effort, same with the amalgam, ive got 3 months worth of pulls stashed, waiting for them to nerf that next. I understand QoL improvements for higher ops players, I'm getting ready to push into 40s so I'm glad it'll be addressed before I get there but there had to have been a better way to do this. And again it was donenwith ZERO communication. That's my biggest problem with this. I'd happily have spent a couple hulls yesterday banking antimatter if I'd know this was coming.

If you want to improve the game how about adding some level 35 & 37 borgs to the game? You've added to the number of daily grinds, now how about making them go a little quicker? Borg (takes too long no updates in forever), Mantis (tons of broken ships in systems), Stella (needs to speed up rate of refines), Bajoran (reducing both the cost and payout be the same amount nulls the benefit), Augment (no change in forever, how about increasing the indie credits?)
Oh wow, yeah thats insane. Seems to be the pattern lately of nothing being thought through before they do it. As Ian Malcom said, too busy doing to stop and ask if they should.

They reduced the refinery cost, but the real issue here is a complete lack of transparency and also not thinking about how the game actually works instead of how it is supposed to work.

There's a bug in #ā-official-announcements: if you reduce loot and cost by the same amount, there's absolutely no benefit.
The benefit was for G5 players who were having to make 5 or 6 trips because cargo doesn't scale up that much with ship strength.

I wonder at this point if scopely was only ever just a bunch of Tribbles bouncing up and down on keyboards, but theyāve gotten so fat and pregnant and reproduced so much, that thereās too many on the keyboards, writing glitches and bugs and bad updates into the game

The ratio is the same. If you were filling the cargo before, this is faster as it requires you to spend less time waiting on warping to and from the system you were farming in. This is good for anyone who were filling their cargo and had to make multiple trips....If you don't need to fill your cargo....you don't have to.
It was a missed opportunity to reduce grind time for the loop. A lack of communication is what got all the pitchforks raised.
If you need to kill the same amount of hostiles for the same amount of reward, how did it change your repair bill? Everything just remains the same, just no more multiple hauls and not as much OPC
Where are the patch notes for todayās update? If all that happened is both cost and loot were dropped at the same proportions, that maintenance did nothing.

Letās stop defending them, Matt. They decreased the loot and the loot:chest ratio by the same exact number, which did absolutely nothing to help us. The reason they did it at all was because it took forever to farm enough loot to get the chests. They needed to decrease the loot:chest amount, but they needed to keep the loot gained from victory higher than the expenditure
@tacit obsidian in Server 65 all the apex hostiles are stuck in the 32, 34, 35, 36, and 37 systems. On top of the random chrysalis hostiles being stuck.
This makes the Mantis grind impossible. This is paid for content and it needs to be fixed now. Scopely is ripping us off with this broken game

Communication communication communication. Release notes need to be available before the update goes out. We do that for our customers. People need to understand what's going to change before you spring it on them.

Because of maintenance 800B Trit of a raid was left. Will there be a chest ? Regarding how great the charges are š© : Mantis cannot tell how much cool down, time in game not really reduced, dead ships still there.... etc

Don't know if this was touched on, but with the hostiles dropping less loot, the amount needed for the chest pulls is drastically lowered too. 3 chest pull was about 16kish
What do the new auto defense skins do? Yet another thing Scopely didnāt communicate. I canāt even click on them in refit menu to get more info.
Not really getting the part of how many dimensions I should be thinking in, but I still need three trips for daily full pull. It hasnāt made anything easier. Maybe a bit for some, but I really donāt see a reason for shutting down the servers for this unannounced, while there are so many bigger issues with this game.

only for the players that needed to do more than one trip due to cargo size, they now need less travel time, the number of hostiles you need to kill to obtain sufficient loot to open the chest remain the same
I wish to apologize to scopley for my earlier comments, I'm a big man and can admit when I'm wrong. On another note some communication would have prevented my and others outrage.
Remember they said the biggest complaint was whales needed to make too many trips
So, the whales get a quick fix, and the rest of us get all our long standing issues on the āIgnore Foreverā list. Same old Scopely.

Why did you open up starbase controls to the majority of players, now we risk people spending resources when we're trying to be strategic on upgrades via our commodores

Another new bug for me anyway, the mission indicators over systems in the map dont go away now when I complete the mission there. Just started this update, tested with multiple missions.
We had an operative blow through days worth of alliance speed-ups because he thought they were his individual items. This was an incredibly ill-advised change. Change it back.
Allow Operatives+ to collect Starbase RSS, but for heaven's sake. You set a precedent by restricting the activation of territory services to Comms+, assuming because players can spend real money on those materials required. The same thing applies here.

Dear scopely. We all know you are terrible at math. Reducing both the cost AND the loot drops for bajoran faction by the SAME AMOUNT does literally nothing to solve the grind.
It means you can get more pulls on a full cargo hold, and more without going OPC. Generally a win.

No it doesnāt. It changes literally nothing. The grind is exactly the same as it was before. Filling cargo hold was never an issue, it took too long before, takes just as long now for the same return. Worse it takes 10x longer if you want to fill cargo.
So yeah, I went from 140k loot pull with hull left over to 13k loot pull and go boom, sounds like a great update scopley. Refinery might be cheaper but the loot change is a joke, even with the first level of bajoran favors, so basically I pulled 9k raw loot, 13.2k with the favor. Still only amounts to 2 days of max pulls so in that respect nothing has changed but my God the optics of it are horrible.
Not saying less grinding wouldn't be better, but some players were filling up their cargo without getting enough to pull, and spending a lot of time back in forth in warp. This addresses that.
Feedback? The lag you always blame on us is making this unplayable and since this update even worse. Did you fix any bugs?
I had started to use a 3 hour 150% Gas Mining Exocomp and went back to my base to unload and go to another location for more gas and the dumb maintenance kicked in, so I lost the opportunity to use most of it.

It's 1 exocomp when other are having much more detrimental issues affecting their entire server.
Absolutely disgusted that weāve had 3 hours of maintenance to make unwanted/unnecessary changes and fix none of the bugs as far as we can tell. Read the room Scopely, youāre doing nothing but further alienating your players!!

Grind is much shorter for people who needed more than one cargo hold for a full pull.

So for anyone 46+ this is an improvement, for anyone below it has no detrimental effect whatsoever.
I'm 46 and this slightly helps me. Of course I would love smaller costs, but this is a small QOL improvement. I don't get how people think this is somehow bad. It's neutral at worst.
Real take away is Scopely needs better patch notes.
I would argue otherwise, giving me the option now to stock up for the future when I know pull costs are going to increase isn't a bad thing. The refinery change is great for those that need it but I don't need another swarm daily when I could do it once a week and be perfectly happy. I basically gave up on the mantis cause all the systems are broken one way or another. Borg takes too dang long as it is now so if they wanna update that are they going to follow the same model? Make the pulls cheaper and drop the loot as well? As with everything they've tried to fix lately it's always a half baked idea that's never thought all the way through, reduce the refinery costs was all they had to do, even cut it in half would have been better than this.
But this doesn't change anything about that....

I agree that conceptually nothing has changed here in terms of what I can pull and how many pulls I can get in the refinery but it's yet another example of poor planning and execution. The benefits of the bajoran faction are huge, I bought the parsteel efficiency one and boom saved me half a billion on my ops 40 jump, thats worth the effort and thats at tier 1. As we open up that faction we know theres more to come, this has great potential and speeding thing up wouldn't be a bad thing but they really if anything slowed things down. It took me 15 minutes yesterday to fill my ent on 42-45s, this morning it took me almost half an hour to bring home less than 10% of what I pulled yesterday, yes i can still max pull but its a joke that my grind time almost doubles when the daily grinds are already ridiculous. And yes it is a qol improvement for higher level players, I won't dispute that and it's something that is sorely needed in other aspects of the game as well but saying it's just as easy or nothing has changed is wrong, there's a huge difference between repairing half a hull and a full hull, maybe not at G3 but in G4 or G5 were talking huge sums, so something that was designed to help now just becomes another way to pull resources out of the game and push spending which pretty much sums up the last 6 months. No point beating this dead horse anymore, it's starting to get sticky.
The real scary bit is between broken content like the Manti$ and now randomly applied changes, it becomes harder and harder to trust Scopely with our money. Iām no longer willing to trust that new content will work, be valuable, or even still be in the game next week. When you snap your fingers and pull officers, change loot tables, and still havenāt fixed content that never functioned in the first place it erodes credibility. Good content could be released but Iām not going to gamble that it works. Iām not going to pay to beta test your products.
What reason do we have to trust Scopely with our money, time, and attention?

Do Apex hostiles work anywhere any more? Anywhere at all?

The difference between decreasing loot from bajoran hostiles and the increase of packs and all others are TO big, 90% decrease and 90% increase for all other stuff is really insane and a huge grinding .
10 or 20% decrease was better.
Now you have to work harder to get the hostile badge so you can increase the loot.
Please change the percentage for the bajorans to 70/80%

This is so disappointing. I would like to applaud Scopely for fixing something in favor of players, but if you look at this discord over the last week there are players who are miserable because of so many different, serious issues, but I never once saw someone complain about warping too many times. So it smacks of an issue that one or two bigs had, people who Scopely listens to in their secret place. Which is fine, but did that warrant a surprise maintenance shut down? You couldn't have given people a day's warning? And if you were springing surprise maintenance on us, could you not also have done something about the multiple complaints about the entire mantis experience? From dead apex ships to the unreasonable grind? Everyone who has a mantis has been complaining. Why isn't a solution for those problems as urgent as having to warp too many times? And if you are going to make a huge change to the starbase functionality, maybe, just maybe, consider letting players know? How was it an urgent matter to give the entire team the ability to screw up everyone's plans for their starbase? I'm thinking Scopely thought we would be grateful for the change, but it is not difficult to see why people are just completely frustrated and not excited about something that fixes a problem most of us did not have.

Sorry Scopely but thatās a failure on that patch update dealing with the jenhadar. Whatās a waist of game time is needing to do 2 Stella runs full cargo to do ONE refine on keys. Cargo with Laāan is 185. Need 300 for a refine. How about either lower the refine or up the bloody cargo hold. Ops 39 and absolutely no change for me dealing with jemhadar. Before is was getting about 80k loot and refine was 51k. Now I get 8k and refine is 5100. If you wanted to help those players that complained about warp time and such. Should of lowered the refine by 30-40%.
This antimatter change is awesome. I've now got a month's worth of exchanges without having to do any more work
so feed back don't do a last min maintenance with our informing people don't just add rank privilege's to ranks without feed back and at least inform us of those changes. and don't add stuff with out fixing what's broken!! broken fis is the most important aspect.. we have to much broken to the point cant even plat parts of the game @tacit obsidian

You missed the point. The idea is that itās more likely do be done in 1. If you canāt fill your cargo to begin with then this doesnāt affect you. The change is for those that max their cargo out before they die and have to keep warping in and out, so instead of doing it repeatedly they can do it instead in 1 run maybe 2

Also, this change has completely eliminated our ability to collect plasma whatsoever.
I've gone from being able to do my max run (92k) in 2 runs to having to do... 6+ at least. This has made the Bajorian faction massively less appealing. I have to agree, this has broken this mechanic rather than helping at all. š¤·āāļø

Yep both the faction store and the hostiles hugs been reduced by 90% itās so you can fill your cargo up more in 1 trip, since warp ship cargo is limited

The Faction store is at about 15% of original cost (Ops35), and the loot drop is around 7% (for Lvl 37-39 hostiles)

Reducing the cost of the pull is a plus, reducing the loot is a negative. I found my grind was longer today than it was yesterday to garner an equivalent amount of antimatter for the 3 chest pull.
My faction store cost went from 28,000 to 3,380

There should be no difference in the amount of hostiles needed to complete the turn ins. The reason the change was made was to help those at high ops levels because they were running out of cargo space and had to make multiple trips to finish

The amount of people dissatisfied with the loot & bundle cost reduction while everything else is pretty much the same is baffling. I, for one, am enjoying the changes to the Jem'Hadar hostiles and Bajoran store ā takes me 1 trip instead of 5 now while everything else stays the same. And as a bonus I do have a small but nice stash of loot for a couple of days š So definitely a win! So thanks for that.
Iām being very clear my grind time was longer than before the fix to get the same amount of loot to do the max 3 chest pull. On top of that I worked very hard and did my pull strategically so I would get the Prophets Prize Favour. This has now been devalued

Poor communication. If this change was properly communicated beforehand this would not be a problem. But Scopely didn't. If everyone knew the decrease in Loot corresponded with a decrease in required Loot per pack It would have gone way smoother. Now Scopely left the community to theorize and that is what you get.
Going from being able to fill cargo hold, to needing to make more repairs is not an improvement.
Filling your cargo before got you the same amount of redeems as filling a fraction of your cargo now

- No if loot dropped my ship is dead and cargo only 10% full it takes 10 trips to 45 system to get same amount cargo. Instead do it so that reduce costs but 1/3 or 2/3 factor and keep the way it was before the loot

The starbase was fine how it originally was. Weāre everyone collecting for it. As for building it and speeding it up it was fine before . Though if want to change it give admril the ability to allow or deny people regardless of the alliance ranking this way admril has more say in who in alliance can preform upgrades and speedups so he/she can limit number who actually can do things otherwise theiir forced to demote people that might wind up to some friction in alliances.
The changes to the jemāhadar hostiles makes the grind seem worse⦠but Iām not engaging with the mantis grind anymore due to the stuck apex hostiles and the lack of any entertaining arc events reduces my screen time⦠so Yay! Good job š

Yes this update forked hostiles so that if I want max load I need reduce atleast 5 level hostile levels to grind 1h, before I could 1 run at my lvl hostiles and gain full load that was just about right, but the store prizes was too high and needed 3 trips anyway or more.
But you (most likely) don't need to fill your cargo anymore. The changes made to the loot & cost were all relative, all loot bonuses still apply to the same degree etc. It should net you exactly the same outcome as before.

I get that the loot drop decreased and the value increased making it so there was no true change... however, there were side-effects that are negative!
Hence, overall there was no improvement, only made things worse. Stop breaking things. Start to actually fix things. I still have an open ticket from Thursday that hasn't been responded to since Friday, and now will get even more lost under the pile of new issues streaming in.

Yes but my point here is that they did not make things any better for time usage that you need! You still need to hunt hostiles more for those 3 trips before or 7 because they lesses loot by same factor than shop prices. Better way would have been lessening shop prizes and keep same way hostiles. I still need the time for 3 run or 7 run grinding what I really dont want. Its 1 trip and dayly task done.

Collect resources is fine, but someone who doesn't know what they're doing can squander module building related resources.
They understood with franklin a that give x3 points for daylies so one trip and daylies are done for me. Why they still want me to do the 7 run time to hunt enough loot? Even stella can be done in one trip and swarms, well probes need 2 trips, now cardassian 7x 30 kills in one trip. And I cant do 7x vs 44-46 hostiles as they will kill me on 1x. Thus I need to do lower hostiles that dont count in ticket events as good as 46s and grind lesser loot per hostile meaning I need 7x 50 hostiles to full carco and hit 3th button. The striking matter what we are discussing here is the amount of grind they want us grind cardassians. Its rediggiles.

Scopely fix mantis space so the ships spawn correctly. Get rid of the solo armadas or change it drastically. Ugg your killing our game and making people quit. Also 1 week of armadas? Can someone explaine the math in great detail if both loot and expensive shop prized are reduce to 1/10. SO I could get 3 trips full loads vs 44-46 on kelvin before for 2nd button. HOw would this change the time needed to hit 2nd button now? Thi math dont reduce the trip amounts as hostiles kill me in same amount. SO I still need the 3 trips for 2nd button or is my engineer math wrong? As you havent reduced hostiles strenght so they kill as fast as before.

Before update my valdore had 100k cargo. I could fill it up with 60% hull left. Now I can fill 26k cargo of it and do my triple pull daily in 1 trip. This update saved me 2 round trips of warping.
I really don't understand why people are upset about this. It hurts nothing and helps a little. number of reds you have to hit did not change.
This is what Im afrite since the number of hostiles is way too much, after scout run now will test the changes and belive me will do a video if I dont like the update.

@random lintel please look at others discord about all the armada evens and their feeling abt all armadas including solo armadas. People, tons of people on our discord including whales are talking abt having their accounts archived. Because we are sick of pay for play events. One start per day of the solo armadas doesnāt even get some to the bottom tier of the event. So you have more and more players that are skipping events and just doing dailies. If it happens enough then we will start to have dead or dying servers. But hay if in the end thatās what Scopely wants then thatās what they will get. Remember whales need krill to feed on or they donāt have a game either.
@tacit obsidian how is removing timers for ship cooldowns an improvement? We now have to select the ship to make a guess on what time in the cooldown is left. How is giving everyone starbase build rights an improvement?
When are stuck hostiles fixed? When are hostiles in capital systems fixed? There are so many issues in this game. Why is so much time wasted on āimprovementsā we donāt want?
For this I have suggested many times lessening prices from 100⬠to 20⬠and add minipayments for officer shards, ship blueprints and parts from 1⬠to 5⬠so that for longevity of game and scopely needs more money and cheaper prices brings casual gamers to suporters too. Currently only whales that want big progress will pay those 100⬠packs. BUt less them 20⬠and you will be have ton of transactions.

The change to allow alliance members Operative or higher is potentially a problem for bigger alliances. The collection part I think is great. The upgrading, not so much. Our alliance has a set goal on what we are trying to achieve, and if someone stumbles there before reading third party apps (discord), they might use our speedups in an inefficient way and potentially could hurt the alliance in future events.
Would love it if you change it back to commodores/admirals only for speedups/relocation and allowed EVERYONE to collect the plasma.
A log of who upgraded what, or spent speedups on what would be much appreciated too.

Here on server 199, Loot from Jem'Hadar hostiles dropped to 1/10, but the excange rate in the Bajoran store has improved to 16k for 3packs. And my stock Antimatter Unit was intacted. š

If you were having to make multiple trips because your cargo hold was full, it's faster as you have to make fewer trips back and forth. It will be very helpful once you get a new ship that is low tier with a smaller cargo hold and try and punch up
This game has always been buggy as can be. But honestly you guyās really seem to be overachievers this arc. Fix the game start with the broken reds. How about fixing the content i actually paid to have access to? I just might not make it to my 4 year anniversary here.

It took me 22 hrs to find enough capital traders to finish my dailies. That isn't a game or a grind that's just garbage.

We had two Whales quit on server 29 today. You know stuff is messed up when two people who spent tens of thousands of dollars decide to walk away from that. 1 had an open ticket from a week ago that was still unanswered so he just walked away. It kills me to see such great people leave the game.
The system before wasn't broken but several weeks on server 32 actin Space nolonger spawn intacepters but the fix you do do causes me to not even get a full hull on my ship now and have to blow it up several time to get what I need I find this a great failure on you're end

1-If the Faction Reputation Primes granted 200% per tier, that would be worth $100 per tier to me. Alternatively, Each tier could remain as is, and be worth $10 a peice.
2-I really do love the Mantis content. However, broken unhittable / non-spawning Apex's really sabotage your creation and my gaming experience.
3-I really do love the New alliance Starbase. However, Armadas that fail to climax really sabotage your creation and my gaming experience.
4-I think you've done an amazing job in the Bajoran Content. I'm having a great time with it!
5-change Doom Armada Loot to Officer XP, and source directives.
6-change Territory Armada Loot to Iso Emulsion.
7-change Klingon Burial Ship Armada Loot to Cultivated Mycelium.
8-increase the Loot tables of Swarm Armadas and Cardassian Armadas to be comparable to Regular Armadas of equivalent levels.
9-Please double our sourcing of regular directives.

I needed to collect CA. 360k. Only feasible way was lvl 49-51 jem'hadar.

Which means that on any OPS you progress at the same speed.
I can imagine the reason is so that it is similarly engaging to new as well as long time players, as (some of) the bonuses provided by the bajoran favours are quite unique and interesting.

1..You reduced the loot from the dominion enemies and reduced the cost in the Bajoran fraction store. Unfortunately, nobody was aware about this. Everyone was angry for a good reason yesterday! If you are doing maintenance or change a feature, write a short message to Discord! If you continue like this, you do not have to wounder about the āf*** Scopelyā comments. It is your fault.
2..You did do the cost and loot reduction make it easier. A weird idea: reduce the loot by 75% only and the cost by 90% and increase the spawn rate of the enemies. In this case player could collect the required loot faster and could save time for other things. In the last month you released a lot of new time intensive features, like the Mantis. It is too much stuff (from a time perspective)
3.Please explain the new auto defense feature for miners. Sorry to be open: It is a stupid idea. But let start with what I know: You must buy the skins in the Bajoran fraction store. Afterward they are always active? Or do you have to active them with this new currency? If so, do you have a āprotectionā for X-hours or until the miner return to base? Do I have to active it per miner or in general? How often can I activate it?
From the other perspective, the normal game flow is:
You wake up in the morning and send out your miners and a warship. Search for a 0 mine and then (based on the ROE of your server) you send a message to the other player and kill the miner on the 0 mine with your warship. Afterwards you miner can start to mine. What will happen with your new feature? Will I see that a miner has auto defense active? Or will I be surprised by a dead or nearly dead warship ? Could create a lot of frustration!!

It seems they have opened the starbase for all or most members of an alliance to start a module or speedup the build time, this is a bad idea because harder to manage what people think is good to build or have no clue but build it anyways.

@vagrant obsidian players that are not active in any group event or even chat in alliance chat are making starbase related upgrades without any thought. So annoying, I didnt have access before and didn't mind because we need control especially since all commodore's initial just upgraded because they could just like now.
Even if that is meant to be a decimal point it takes a neck like a jockey's you-know-whats to ask for that much money for anything in tbis game.
I've been gradually trending away from the game, but I can tell you my engagement this month is way down. I spend less time in game because the event calendar is basically empty, and I get all the events done in an hour or two tops. I can't grind venom for the Mantis at a reasonable rate since all the Apexes are stuck in systems I can use, so I'm now skipping that. I basically just pop in, move a miner, maybe participate in an armada, and then skip out for an hour or more because there's no reason to stick around. I'm no whale, but I have spent enough to be a strong mid-tier player. Barring a strong change soon, you're going to lose most players of my ilk. If I didn't feel an obligation to carry littler players in my alliance, I probably would be out already. I doubt that means anything, but I hope I'm wrong.
I wonder if Scopely has picked up on the fact that many are unhappy with the additional, time consuming, grind added to the game?
If so, as every faction is the enemy of the Jem'hadar, why not add some positive faction rep for Fed, Rom and Klingon to each ship you kill?
That at least would give an added incentive to spending a lot of time killing them

I should add that the incentive to play this month isn't really there if you're not more of a spender than I or 40+. Officers can't be sourced without $$. Under 35 can't even access the new faction. 35-39 get limited access since we can't source solo rare or epic directives. I can do my daily Bajoran grind for rep, UC directives, and occasionally credits, but that's all I'm getting out of this month.
The payout on the Cardassian Armada event was pitiful, so I only got 4/8 milestones between the two days since the value wasn't there. I only finished the Dukat one since I needed credits for pulls anyway. I wasn't going to burn something I can't easily source for so little gain otherwise.

The ship ability cooldown location and graphic is not an improvement. So yes, you can see the effect time by clicking on the icon, but whatās with the āyour ability is in cooldownā message once activated instead of the unobtrusive numerical countdown we used to have. It is now ridiculously hard to try and time multiple Cerritos boosts for an armada, or to be time-efficient in using the sting 4 times in a row for dailies without sitting there watching the gauge. Why is Scopely fixing things that werenāt broke, or fixing the wrong thing? And putting the activation button under the ship screen drops it squarely on top of the ship icons at the bottom on smaller devices which is just visually annoying.
Starbase has become ridiculous. Surely there was an error when it was made open to anyone above agent to mess things up. What was the thinking behind this terrible move? It really needs to be put back to admiral and commodores only. Its simple common sense not to create a condition where wrong upgrades are done, speed ups are wasted, bases are moved around when not needed. š Its a foolish change to put it politely. <@&509691205798592532> please tell them to stop making the game worse.

S61 has the same problem, everyone trying to farm the one system that spawns them (maybe it's part of a master plan to increase hostilities and wars that entice spending? š )

Until they fix Actian Apexes/stuck hostiles, they should really be giving a daily gift of Actian venom that corresponds with mantis tier.
The script was imperfect last I saw it run. It removes the hostiles from the screen, but can leave something behind that still blocks spawns. The only thing you'd gain here is a cleaner galaxy...and maybe fewer hostiles in your system.
When they're finished with it, it'll be deployed to everyone.
I find the lack of ability to easily reset systems to default/hibernated status very telling of their play testing conditions. Does not indicate a strong ability to troubleshoot, since step 1 of any IT troubleshooting is always "turn it off and back on". š¤

Found my first stuck JemHadar hostile today, good to see there is consistency across the board now. Please address this ASAP, it's getting bad in swarms and mantis space as well, up to 3 or 4 in most systems.
Why in the world would you remove the cloak timer and the cool down timer and replace them with a graphic that doesn't tell us anything?!? This makes cloaking more difficult to use strategically. I don't know when I need to leave to avoid being seen, it how long I need to avoid an attacker before I can cloak again! Give me back the countdown!

Now I see the cloak timer exists but you have to click the ship to see it. We need it on the battle screen, where we can see it at a glance, especially for PvP

Yesterday's PC update is demanding too much cpu (30+%) & gpu (50+%) when the game is just idle.
Usually it's just a small fraction of that. Can't even watch YouTube at the lowest resolution while the game is running.
Why did they mess up the build, promote/demote function by basically giving it to everyone? Do they play the game?
They wanted to cause mayhem and chaos because we're managing our ASBs too efficiently.

@tacit obsidian auto defenses š¤ not sure how useful this will be. Would need to see how it works. Miners tend to get attacked when opc, zeroed, during wars, or when someone is just out to have fun at everyones mining expense or takeovers. Just,it can be hard to predict when one is going to get attacked.
These seem like they could be good at stopping small players but not equal or for sure not bigger players. Players mining 4g, lots of mining times last longer and could outlast automatic defenses times.
I donāt feel I could use them for protecting cargo that goes over protected limits as their is always a bigger ship that could take it. During a war it could have possible uses or during a take over to add more defenses against smaller ships but for regular mining, I donāt see a practical use for everyday mining. Maybe incursion mining but I donāt see many trying to mine then and it would not stop bigger players with 5g ships.
A different idea a level 52 in my alliance suggest he would be more tempted to buy; an automated self destruct. Everything would work the same as the automated defense other than timer: acquire skin and activating things (money or grind). When attacked the miner selfs destructs and the miner keeps all cargo mined, including all cargo over the protected limits. I could see use for that.

An automated recall system would have been nicer. (Same concept, buy or grind skin and currency to activate.) Node goes zero and or when ship cargo reaches protected limits. The ship recalls to base. I know lots who donāt like their miners blown up for opc or zero and use slow mining crews to prevent this from happing in attempts to time mining times with sleep or work. This clogs up mining nodes for hours. An automated recall could encourage players to use better mining crews and more mining nodes would open up.

@tacit obsidian can we please sweep zombie hostiles. S38 has almost every actian apex system unable to spawn apex hostiles. We paid money to engage with this content and its tacitly broken. These should be swept automatically (without customer requests) and short & regular intervals until you create a fix for the content breaking problem. Add to that that the buffs regularly to not trigger automatically as designed but must be activated manually. That requires multiple screen changes and about a dozen clicks, taking 20 seconds or so each time. Times 3 buffs lasting 5 min, thatās 12 min for a 1 hour grindā¦.crazy broken content
What used to take 15 min or so to fill my hull is now taking about an hour. 250+ hostiles to fill my mantis hull without spawning apex hostiles & I need 2 hulls/day.

The faction store was reduced by the same amount. The idea is since warpships have limited cargo spaces you can fit in more per run and do less runs overall

Yep, I think there is a growing population of players with the same thought. Players are now much more willing to be public in discord about their frustrations, and it feels like just one long negative reaction to all recent arcs from so many people (correct imo, as they have been dreadful for most of the year and DS9 was supposed to be the good arcs lots of people were looking forward too). And on top of that the failure to resolve long standing and recent bugs adds to the frustration when we just see new āplease buy another packā content,
Think scopley is close to ālosing the dressing roomā for a big part of its player base, and without urgent corrective action then it may be too late to recover.
Ok what hmm at scopely thought it was a good idea to change the options in alliance rank for upgrading modules on the ASB.
I am fine with people harvesting, but when it comes to upgrading i want only a limmited amount of people to be able to do that

But ... and this will be more important then anything else. You have another item associated with the base called "alliance reserves" for now its only used to move the base. But i take it these things are needed to activate the buffs/functionality of buildings. I am asuming that 1 or maybe 2 maybe active at all times. Meaning if every1 can use em you would be through those in a heartbeat!!

Friendly advice on the 3* faction miner skin packs: add 50k Bajoran rep. I question how many people will buy the skin when they canāt replenish the āfuelā until they grind rep for 4 months. Or if you plan to source the fuel through events or whatnot until then, announce that. Or allow people to buy the fuel earlier since that will not help those who donāt buy the skin.
If you suddenly found yourself with new access to things you didn't have before wouldn't you test it out? Wouldn't your first assumption be that you were given that ability by your alliance? With no pre warning and no ability to tell everyone not to mess with it because we had no idea they would even be able to things were bound to happen. It takes several days to get a communication out to 80 plus people when not all of them are on discord and not all of them play during the same hours.

Without any way to mass communicate with your alliance members. At least some of us use Discord I guess, but even then not everyone uses it š¤·āāļø also given the lack of new members on the servers it's not a good idea to kick people for making mistakes if you want your alliance to survive.

Itās pretty much a mandatory in our alliance, given the lacklustre communication ability in game š.
Patch notes should be made available before a release goes out, so we stand some kind of chance to know what is changing and what if anything we need to do. This is basic stuff so why can't Scopely get it right?
Agree and disagree; the problem they have is there are sometimes exploitable bugs that they donāt want to communicate en masse because it then creates mayhem, but at the same time I agree there does need to be a look at how changes to ābehavioursā such as permissions in alliance and similar is available to people in advance. I will ask Eco if thereās any way we can look to something like this.
Write additional release notes with security stuff like exploitable bugs. š¤

@nova sierra The current starbase permissions are terrible. Requiring players to go message everyone in an alliance to get them to understand what is or isn't permitted is a unnecessary burden. It would only have taken a small consultation from Scopley to realise this.
Perhaps including Premier on the starbase, or better still creating some additional permission. But the current implementation drives alliances to demote everyone to agent once someone decides to spend all the plasma on some š© that wasn't in the plan. Which of course right now we can't replenish due to the collector bug.
Itās about managing risk. You donāt rely on a single control (communication). You need technology controls in place too.
It takes just one drunk person one night, one disgruntled player, and things can get damaged or even wrecked

When you have a group of nearly 100 people someone is going to mess up. Role based access and restricting player permissions in combination w communication is the best way to reduce the chance of accidents or malicious behavior

Dailies have never been āon timeā specifically per se, they do wander around a little - Iāll ask if thereās anything in it but I expect most of this is āoh yeah, youāre right!ā causing people to notice whatās been going on for years as far as I remember. š

Feedback: The chat filter is way too sensitive; several common words like 'bite' get flagged and it makes some simple discussions harder to have; yet you can also easily bypass the filter with letter replacement and spaces which makes the whole filter worthless anyway. Please at least make it an option to disable the filter.

The iPhone 14 has been out for a long time now. When is the game going to be updated to fix the display issues with the new screen?
They reduced the chest cost by 90% too. So if you see no difference in grind that's normal.
The new numbers do make it easier at some hight level, when players needed to do 5-10 trips because of cargo limitation
@tacit obsidian The script yesterday did unstick some hostiles for us on server 43 - but what has happened since is we get even more stuck hostiles now. Many of the apex actians that were fixed are already stuck again. Also, yellow mission bosses remain stuck and I cannot progress those mission chains - CS would not help me on those ones, so I am hoping you could.
Mantis grind is unplayable with all the apex frozen
If you don't get them fixed before then, hopping in incursions can fix stuck yellows.

Last night yes. It showed my dailies reset back to incomplete. So I reset my miner. Then the timer kicked back on showing 2 mins til reset...and that daily was no longer showing as available. I couldn't complete it at all and never received the rewards.

There is a period of time where your daily quests reset and can be completed, but if you turn them in, they don't count. That window is widening by about 90 seconds every day. Give it a month and you lose almost an entire hour out of a day.

@tacit obsidian some bajoran favors are not showing as active after you activate them in the faction store. For example, I activated Pagh Ascension and it still shows 0/5 and is also not showing in the faction store now too. I cleared localization and such and the issue persists.
Lag is unbearable again... takes ages for actions to register. Targeted a normal hostile ship and it took a whole 2 minutes before combat started !

I was defending my station from attacks, and suddenly everything stoppedn. Nobody is able to attack me, I am unable to shield. We're all just stuck there staring at each other. I can't send ships out from my station. We restarted our clients.
And after like 30 minutes of staring at each other it finally just came back. I also just received like a hundred notifications on my phone for the game at the same time. I am not sure if the act of me repairing my base repeatedly somehow lagged the entire server but I would think that is something this game should be able to handle.

Yea. Scopely really messed this month up. I am lvl 31 and they want to me to complete an event by paying $99. Otherwise it is lvl 35 locked. SMH. A little ridiculous in my opinion

@fallen epoch does the script for unstucking hostiles only work on apex? Server 75 has a lot of systems in faction space, swarm, eclipse that have stuck hostiles. I tried putting in a ticket yesterday and got told I put it in the wrong spot with no direction on where to find the right spot.

@tacit obsidian Apex in actian space in server 43 are even worse now than before the scripts yesterday. They were unstuck for mere hours, but now more systems than before have a stuck apex. It feels like the entire server is trying to farm together in the two or three systems where it is working :). I know you heard it plenty of times today, but the aftermath of the fix script almost seems worse than before it, so something in the code is clunky. If each ship is an instance of that ship object, the code could look at x/y coordinates and reset the instance if coords havent changed in X seconds (unless behind the scenes the object is still in motion, then thats much more difficult). Anyway, becoming quite a large issue amongst the many issues.

You get extra bonuses for those rewards based on your syndicate level
@tacit obsidian heard your comments regarding the barely extant arc and events this morning. i know you have to toe the company line but to hear players complaining about too much screen time when you have day in and day out repetitive chore like activites (you call them dailies, maybe you've heard of them?) and to think you need to run an "experiment" by gutting an arc is borderline insulting to the playerbase or implies no dev understands the game they make. If it was in fact an experiment, it has FAILED. BADLY. The arc runner during the mantis arc did a great job salvaging a disaster. I see nothing that indicates anyone is doing anything to save this one. This is completely unacceptable and needs immediate action. One more hint of a month like this and I am out and I assure you I won't be alone. I realize i'm one voice among many, but really - nobody at any point ever wanted a joke of an arc like this one. ever.

You grind to get a currency that you spend to get another currency (that's also daily time gated) that you use to participate in ANOTHER grind for ANOTHER currency you spend to buy upgrade parts for a ship you tear apart just to start over again...
It's too long of a grinding loop and doesn't offer an efficient catching up mechanism if your stella falls behind for your level.

Only time I visit the stella grind is for a bp event or when the rogue/outlaw apex events are running. Otherwise I don't see the point. I do like scopely at least reference past grinds with events. It def is overwhelming for a new player.

How do we request a refund for the mantis? It's been 2 months and it has never worked properly. First you couldn't target after debuffing, then you couldn't debuff at all, then the apex hostiles stopped working. 2 months is a very long time to not get something we paid for

The points scored came with that. Sometimes in point corrections they have to send an item but the missing scoring is also part of the package. Not that this excuses the constant scoring issues but thought you would want to know why they did the weird looking thing they did.

Scopely actually used the correct ship model AND avatar for the Cardassian Interceptor mission hostile in Those Who Walk Behind part... I think it was 6? 5 or 6. Either way, kudos for bucking a long-running trend of just putting up some random ship model and avatar for a clearly-delineated and well-known faction. It made me stop and actually start reading some of the mission dialog instead of just tapping through it as fast as I could, and I'm glad I did. Garak is fun.

Youāre missing the point. It wasnāt a compensation chest per se, they just used a chest mechanic to apply the missing points, but to do that, a chest has to contain something.

Another one adding my voice to say the change to ASB permissions is terrible -- how many alliances have had their ASB progress completely messed up because some Operative who wasn't in the loop went mad with all the shiny buttons and blew through days or weeks worth of mats and speedups? I understand maybe this is a solution to dead alliances with an AWOL Admiral and no Commodores, but this screws over potentially every active and coordinated alliance in favour of the aimless.
This change is such an incredibly bad idea, it makes it really hard to stay engaged with the ASB because we can't plan or be strategic. The only solution is to force-demote everyone to below Operative (defeating the point of having other ranks to begin with) or just stop caring about the ASB and let the chips fall where they may. Neither option is appealing.
I see they stuffed the PVP up no Korinar no Valdore ... On purpose or broken well we know the answer it is always broken š

I had given up on scopely since they didnāt give the points until 7 hours after the event started so had already finished by killing hostiles, so I didnāt get any points or anything to compensate for the extra time it took. A vague statement more than an hour after the event started that they would āfixā it didnāt exactly inspire confidence.

I really really really wish Hemmer was converted back into a Actian hostile loot increase officer. As that seems unlikely, I'd like to see a new officer added with the loot increase.
The short sightedness of the content creators and others complaining really messed things up for the rest of us. The Actian daily grind is awful AND takes forever. The old Hemmer would have been very useful to have for the daily grind.
Instead, Scopely listened to a loud vocal minority and changed an officer that could have helped everyone with this annoying daily grind.

@tacit obsidian I would still like a response from you regarding the Resistance event, where the scoring was updated after it was launched so everybody could finish it with one purchase of Bajoran rep. Nothing was done though for those that spent early and had to use resources on Bajoran rep again to finish. Yet with scoring errors in the past and with the issue with the Favors event scoring was adjusted for all players or those affected received a compensation chest. I think it is beyond reasonable for those players affected to get their Bajoran credits back, which they may have opted to use for favors or solo armadas. I had put in a ticket, but CS is unwilling to do anything about it, big surprise.
I guess I can go through them again next time, with low expectations of any answer, I actually did get acknowledgement from them for a while but seems to be back to the same old silence again.
Well, only one actian system (37) works on our server, so it's pretty pointless anyway.
They should've just left that as his below deck ability, instead of whatever the useless one is that he has now.
But then, we'd have a very valuable, effective, helpful epic officer, and we all know that's not allowed.

Hate to drop this in here, and itās probably been covered, but let me add my voice: FIX THE STUCK HOSTILES. It has been at least two days since you ran the āscriptā on my server, and in most systems I donāt care that bad, but I CANNOT use my mantis without a MASSIVE time investment, which is NOT what I paid $200 for. I donāt much care how much resources or other things it takes to run that script, it should be run DAILY, at a minimum.
I've been submitting tickets daily for 3 weeks. CS doesn't care.
CS canāt fix it. Itās the engineers. Iām kinda close to going to Xsolla over this one. A premium product, still not accessible free-to-play, plus two primes to enhance it, and they are unusable. In any other industry thereās a return policy, even cars and houses.

@tacit obsidian OP36. Swarm Dailies = 17 kills. Faction Hostile Kills = 38 kills min (13/13/12 to do all 3 factions). Borg Probe kills for one full cargo of T9 Vi'dar = 76 kills (+/-); cargo max is 449.5k, so not even enough for the double chest (500k). INCREASE PROBE 33 DROP AMOUNTS!!
And why no cooldown timers on cloak anymore?
Were the drop rates for level 42 and 46 faction ships changed from transport in sol, kronos, and romulus? The past 6 weeks or so I've seen terrible rates compared to the past. Always do at least 2 runs a day. used to get 1-2 bps for 42 or 46 ships a day (around 12 per week). now I don't get them daily, and it's down to about 4 a week.
Guys guys itās not scopelyās problem that the hostels are stuck. Itās our laggy phones and computers clogging up scopelyās perfect System. Keep doing you scopely.
Honestly about the starbase you only need to have a responsible alliance. We have had no problems so far.
So what's the deal with mantis hostiles. The buffs are all over the place with implementation. Most of the time when I hit one with a buff I get it. There might be a delay before it shows up on the ship map icon but it's there. Lately, at least 1/4th of the time, none of the buffs will apply automatically and I end up activating them manually. Today on my first trip into that space the first hostile I hit activated all three buffs.
The new rank thing.. that give so much access to the starbase is stupid..
Operative, collect plasma sure.. but to be able to build stuff randomly.. no thanks..
& premier to be able to promote, thats questionable too, especially if they promote em to an operative, who can then build the starbase..
I Understand that it is probably done to help small, leaderless alliances.. but dang, for a big busy one it is potential chaos ..

Server 29. Yet again the actian apex is stuck in many of the systems. 34 lvl was working yesterday and now is not working today. So old systems hadnāt been fixed and now new ones not working again. We did pay for this mantis, it would be nice if this actually worked honestly. Frustrating itās even worse than it was yesterday now. Like does scopely realize that as of right now this is a paid shipā¦.and they havenāt fixed the issue yet?

Dear devs: what do you intend to do about the unintended consequence of the automated defences systems being too powerful for miner/amalgam equipped oc raiders who then resort to warships to hit - resulting in minimal oc looting (because of small warship boot) and huge oc (the remaining difference) being lost for the automated defence owner?
This oc issue will quickly devalue the benefit that the automated defences perks will ever have for the player.

AWESOME update... great changes especially regarding Mantis... can't see how long the ship's ability is on cooldown anymore or how long the debuff I just applied to an enemy vessel is active ... but hey, main thing was that the button was changed so it looks different from every other ship ability - WHY???

Yeah seems they moved them then forgot to put a number next to them. I checked the debuff. It tells you the timer at the start but I donāt see time remaining. Although I do see that for the cool-down just not in seconds
I don't see any cooldown displayed anywhere... be it seconds, minutes or hours... just the fact that it IS on cooldown - which I also know cause the new oversized button they created that you need to click to use the ability now is not there (or grey - not 100% sure) when the cooldown is still active
Sounds very much like it makes it less worthwhile to hit those ships. Why would anyone care if the person hitting their miner gets less of their op cargo?
The cool-down is the icon that you use to cloak. It works for all Mantis Cerritos Cloaks
this button that you describe now only tells you in advance how long the debuff will be affecting the target and after you used it, it tells you that the cooldown is active - without a time... BUT: that button USED to be the button that you needed to hit in order to actually use the ship's ability - same as with all other ships with such abilities (cloaking etc) why the hell did they change it and give us that new oversized button (see the first of my three screenshots earlier) and remove all the timers involved??

This arc is garbage. Everything is just high cost and minimal rewards. EVERYTHING. A lot of potential after last month and completely nose dived. The solo armadas while they seemed cool at first now it seems to have put everybody over the edge and activity has dropped off the charts.
Sourcing for the cardassian officers is cruel. Considering they are a worse all purpose crew than strike team, and strike team was far easier to obtain for cash or without spending, this is messed up

Itās simpel I move to any random empty system anywhere in the universe, travel 7 to 11 minutes, kill an enemy , hit return to base and a cloaked enemy with the right pvp crew is waiting. Coincidence? What are the odds? and not once but several times.
Do the same after a certain time stamp and I can kill any amount I want without a problem.
Please pass this on to the technical manager to run a query who searches for base locations in the logging database.
Allowing operatives and up to upgrade or speed up the starbase is off the mark. Seems like this should be commodores and admirals only.

If the amount that the refinery gives is terrible despite players constantly complaining about it, how about being able to refine every 3 hrs instead of 10, the constant armada events are becoming very annoying as we only get 1 unc every week, you add more to the pay-out and include epic and rare based on players level, most of the daily events are pathetic as you go past lvl 40 why are these not increased based on a players level!!

The Mobile Client is more like a Bad memory from the History. The Future is the PC Client. I would say Scopley want that we only use the PC Client because they dont get the Android Fragmentation in their Programming
I do wonder if their game client has memory problems. I have an S10 with 1/2 TB storage and boatloads of space, yet after playing most of the day the zoom issue starts, things start going pink, screen load times slow down etc (activating..) even with nothing else running. š¤·āāļø

This comment seems one-sided, cos the player complained about op strike team. Which it still is. It is overpowered. Full stop. Scopely knows that and tries to ābalanceā in bringing forth another overpowered cardassian strike team.
All other officer combos will become insignificant over time.

Depends on the ship
Before the change my ship took two trips for a refine, 100k cargo capacity and ~200k refinery cost. After the change my ship can gather 15k loot before exploding. So every 4 trips I'd have 3 refines.
Players with a stronger ship can do even better. One player in my ops level can gather 25k per trip, a full refine+ so there is room to improve if you aren't there yet.

@fallen epoch @candle I sent two, augur to Alafoss and Jelly to Kurill and still only came back with about 4k in total. That still means two trips to hit 9k for a full pull. I don't see how the fix has fixed anything. The faction has some nice stuff in but the grind is appallingly. If I hit lower level hostiles it would take hours to get the 9k needed for a full pull. What am I doing wrong?!
Also why are the solo armadas so unbalanced between 35 and 40. Tried a 40 unc again today with augur, jelly and ent, 3 exo's on, cerritos support on two ships, burning, hull breach and mitigation crews. I forgot to cloak, but still couldn't take it down. Given how hard it is to get a full pull on the hostiles, and therefore how hard it is to get armada directives, only being able to hit 35s is barely worth the effort.

Again, so helpful š! My research is pretty good and I'm working on my ships, but I'm far from the only one having this problem. I've yet to meet anyone on my server who is knocking this out the park so something isn't right. What are you using then that makes it so easy for you to get a full load relatively quickly? Is this something for only the bigger players then? I thought Scopely were trying to help players balance rl and the game. Having to grind dom hostiles for hours is not a good balance for the return we are all getting.
<@&509691205798592532> I like the new automated defenses. It'll slow down the little terrorists on each server. I only have one problem with it and I'm sure everyone else will as well. The new automated defenses make it darn near impossible to clear znodes. Once mining slows way down because of this, the game is going to grind to a halt. Might want to consider active mining as a requirement for use and not just sitting on a node.
Your ship development isn't there yet. When you get to the point where filling a tenth of the cargo is easy, then you'd see that under the old system, you'd have to fly home, while under the current one you could continue to grind until your hull gives out.
As for what I'm using, a T4 valdore, in Hyra vs everything cept 50 BS/Ints. If your cargo income is too low, then I'd try a harder system and consider getting the hostile loot favor.
for me DS9 is the worst experience since i started playing a few years ago. the sms milestones require far too much time to complete and the rewards are very bad. players like me will fase out from this game eventually. for the first time ever i have not purchased even the small battlepass. The events are also too complicated to understand.
My issue is warp locks they installed on systems. At 41 I can't get a g4 ship so stuck hunting in the wp 70 system. A t8 epic naked is not underpowered in any other way except here.
Warp range was a continuing issue for our G4 players, and one of the reasons I knew I didn't want to skip 42s.

Can we possibly communicate better? Solo armada event today. I had 7 of them saved up a couple days ago and used them to get a chest. Now today there's an event with no notice and now I can't complete it without buying a pack, but I would have had plenty with a little notice.
I don't know what level your ships are, but my t8 ent t9 d4 and t5 augur did fine on 40s. With rng, sometimes I lose the augur, but other times all 3 ships end up at half health.
For hostiles, I crew pmc on the d4, pbt on the ent and snw pike ortegas synergy on the augur. The bigger two do kurill just fine and I usually run out of hostiles or get bored long before hull is an issue.
Any ETA on when starbase permissions will be fixed, shouldn't take that long....

Also the solution that STFC offered my officer was to demote everyone to agent who was not on the starbase team and that response is so patently absurd I'm not sure where to even start! If you're gonna have ranks, HAVE RANKS. HAVE THEM MATTER. Reducing people in rank to agent removes some of the more useful stuff like being able to see where everyone else is based.
You're really telling me that I need to have 60 Agents, 8 commodores and 1 Admiral? IS that really what's being said? And that if we want to promote anyone to the two ranks before commodore we have to give them the The Talk about not wasting resources that aren't theirs to spend? There's a reason we LOCK stuff away.

It frankly feels like a con to pay for a battlepass only to find out the events can't be completed without spending more. If Scopely only want whales playing STFC, that's fine but at least have the courtesy to let those of us only prepared to spend ā¬20 or so a month on the game that we're not wanted so we can quit and find a new game from a developer who'll value our custom.

Whats up with the Officer Trait XP Away team mission. I rarely get this "Uncommon" mission while I get several of the others constantly. For an "Uncommon" It's more Rare than any rare.
Heres a tip, you want money. That requires players not bored to death. Will your continual grind and pointless events with cra.p effort to rewards. And company earning millions to not reduce grind bugs. But add to them each month good luck with that business plan.
Presume someone has mentioned, but would like to add my vote for suppressing the app notifications for solo armadas. Itās nice that alliance chat isnāt spammed with them, but getting app notifications is still annoying and tempting to turn them off which is not likely intended outcome.
The only further feedback I can give on this arc is this. I have been playing this game for four years, I always buy the battle pass this month I will not be.
Please restore ability cooldown timers displaying on the drydock slots. Guessing how much time is left based on how filled the ability button is is imprecise. Easier to see if it's off cooldown or how close it is by glancing at the drydock slots, rather than having to select the ship.
We had to demote everyone from Operative to Agent to prevent them from spending speedups or starting new builds on a whim. We have a dedicated Commodore for ASB and Scopley doesnāt seem to care for us strategizing.

We've had three separate players use up valuable speed ups (and believe me I have thoughts about people who press buttons without reading anything). We also had a commodore in charge with 2 others on the team and a plan and a spreadsheet. That has had to be modified THREE TIMES NOW.

Our theory is that we weren't buying enough packs because we were all being careful with our resources.
I do think they like keeping a certain amount of chaos and frustration in the game. PVP losses: maybe if I upgraded ($), event change: but I just spent my mats/directives ($). Maybe the permission change on starbase was another way to sew chaos and drive sales

The lags are getting ridiculus. We had 3 failed armadas yesterday as ships couldn't make it to their designated armadas, sometimes less leg-ridden members could fill up, unstarred and usually at much lower power, but still the armadas failed as the ships needed couldn't make it.
And now this morning those problems continue... 1 ship stuck in combat for 2 minutes now and another fails to engage in combat for well over a minute now. targeting the hostile over and over and over again, ship flying there, icons meeting but no combat starts and the hostile continues flying around. Especially annoying when the hostile is a scout and others in the system are less lag-ridden.

Mantis grinding is the same as medieval torture on a rack. After hours your arms and legs fall apart from misery, and you still don't have enough resources for upgrade or anything else. This is true virtual torture to get permanent mouse arm, smashed eyes and seat spots
especially nasty, considering the Mantis atm is a pay-2-play ship...
@north perch since you are a dev, maybe you can help me: why isn't it possible for the game to calculate correctly, where your ship has to stop in the Armada circle, to successfully compete in an Armada? Why does it fly ALL THE WAY TO THE END? why can't it just stop at the outer edge of the circle, where it would be authorized to compete in the Armada? That's just stupid
To be fair. The actual mechanics they developed (the solo armadas loop) are interesting. Are there some areas for improvement? Sure, esp the gap between the 35s and the 40s that make 35-39 feel like an afterthought. Improved sourcing for the UC directives would make the loop much more engaging bc it would give us the ability to experiment, try to punch up without fear that if we do, weāve ruined our only chance for a pull that day (running one a day is kind of meh). But the actual Bajoran faction loop itself is interesting, the favors are useful, and we get options to choose which we prioritize most for our own gameplay. They even did it without requiring an additional drain on existing in-game resources.

This doesn't help anyone know there is new stuff; if anything this makes it harder to tell when there is new stuff because you have notification overload. STOP WITH THE NOTIFICATIONS!!!!
Why are more notifications being added? Nobody asked for this. Nobody wants this. Whatever time went to add and test this could have gone towards fixing one of the many other major issues that need fixing now.
I think the notification would be far more useful if they were configurable - having these red pips everywhere has the opposite to your intended effect. If you instead made these configurable, they would be far more useful.
Quit your improvements that no one asked for and fix the bugs and lagā¦. We donāt need pips on 50 things we will not click

They also still didn't make any changes to starbase permissions. Operatives can still spend resources on starbases
Is it possible to make daily tasks ālock-ableā? So many times I accidentally claim the ones for my champion faction which sends me back to black hole with other factionsā¦. So annoyingā¦. Just wish there was a way to lock certain tasks from completing š¤·š¼āāļø

Fixed an issue where Operatives were allowed to upgrade Starbase buildings.?
Could you please do another update where you add a bajillion red dots, move some menus to weird places and accidentally break something totally random but MAKE SURE not to fix Actians, stuck hostiles, fixed zoom or lag?

If they were genuinely trying, we could expect half of their decision would be good, but recently, the game gets less and less appealing.

Having an indicator on everything is basically the same as an indicator on nothing. We need an option to remove these
You need to look at the grind you expect from players;
Mining; ore crys gas; lat and concentrated lat; 12&3* iso; data
Hostiles; FKR; swarms; borg; exchange; jemhadar; unknown hostiles(discovery); supply ships(amalgam); mantis hostiles (if they worked)
And what reward do we get for playing? event rewards that are soo poor that they are not even worth trying the game requires re-balancing you need to increase the reward drops update the 24hr chests to include armada directives and remove the requirement to refine certain materials for upgrades and maybe you might start to win back the gaming community

Why all the extra red marks? Too many negates the usefulness of having them.
With the alliance reputation system, you are effectively removing the freedom of players to join another alliance. And thus you are removing one significant social element of game play. Is there any rationale for it? @tacit obsidian
This event is so steep to complete its getting lame that you have it over and over. Either drop the bar so you can easily complete it, or stop having it. You no joke have to send to over 40 uncommon armadas to complete if you donāt go to epics or rare. Stupid. I never miss an event or daily and yesterday I didnāt even try. I cut and let go
How about fixing the gift section, the claim button is the whole icon. It shouldnāt be that way, Iām still trying to get my ultra recruit credits back after accidentally cashing them in. No other buttons are that huge

Absolutely had enough. That is three solo armadas that failed yesterday because Shield Recycling didnāt work, one rare, and another rare that failed today because the Jellyfish suddenly showed not joined at 12 seconds remaining and didnāt participate. These are bugs that affect both a playerās ability to complete events, and ones that affect their ability to earn rewards, and all anyone gets on this sorta stuff is radio silence or platitudes from support.
The game, the whole thing needs someone to sit down and review it end-to-end. No roadmaps, no UI tweaks so people know theyāve got stuff to do. The players know they have stuff to do; they just cannot get through all of it any more. Let me walk you through a life in the day of Ops 45.

I wake up, I spend circa 20-30 minutes collecting various items. I then set miners back out for the morningās G4 mining, usually waiting an hour for a mine because of stupid RoE rules. At the same time, I send my Franklin A to go do 25 swarms, and my Valdore to go get some more scouts. Because Iām not the only one getting scouts, Iāll be there for maybe three or four hours waiting for that to happen - but good news, in that time Iāve taken my Franklin home and sent out my Mantis. An hour and a half later, thatās finished, I can recrew that slot and go do Borg grind. Another hour and a half passes, Iāve completed that grind and now I can consider starting the hour and a half session of actively mining Isogen. My miners can come home now, sometimes Iāve neglected them and someone has done that job for me. If Iām in the mood, Iāll go send a miner over to get some data, and my Discovery can go and mine mushrooms. That bit is really tedious. Not that any of this is fun at this point. Donāt forget, gotta go do those events; few hours of joining Cardassian armadas is good for that. At some point around here I venture over to go and do my faction hostiles, and my dominion ones after that now - at least thatās only half an hour each.
