it really depends. If you have no one in your move in queue, it can potentially remain open for weeks, or even months due to the RNG nature of how they fill. But if you do have villagers in your MIQ (which is highly likely if you play online with others in the game) then it will autofill the next day

Seeds have not changed, but version 1.3.0 (the Summer Update Wave 1, where diving was added) has changed a couple of aspects in the weather system. Previously, during a light shower, shooting stars could only appear between 19:00 and 04:00 in hours where the weather was clear/fine. In 1.3.0, they can also appear during hours when the weather is sunny.
TL;DR is basically shooting stars can still appear when its Sunny which is the weather type indicated on that screenshot

At the top of the custom design thing there should be two icons, a palette and a paint tube. The palette allows you to swap the entirety of the colours. Whereas the paint tube will allow you to change the once specific colour you're on

Well for it to be connected to the see you need to connect to the river ends and that was a thing I said earlier. You don't need all conditions to be met to have a river.
You can easily check if you cast your fish pole and the bobber moves it's a river.
River tends to be long body of water.
Any body of water to connected to a river end is a river.
Any body of water connected to a waterfall is a river

Its the Nintendo Switch Online app that you can download onto your mobile device, its used mainly to access voice chat in switch games. It has an ACNH section. From there you can trigger the keyboard, reactions and look at your passport etc.

You can see the trade channels (all the ones with that lock next to them), meaning you've already verified yourself and can access these channels. Users without this trade role are unable to see these channels at all

You can't, you have to actively not talk to them and do not interact with them. Hitting them with a net will keep them there longer for a weird reason. Wait until they look super thoughtful after a few weeks and they'll ask you whether they should move out or not. Only then will they move out.

Another faster but still somewhat rng way is by having a full village and inviting another person to move in via a campsite or amiibo card. If you do manage to invite them, they'll try and replace a villager. The villager you talk to the least most likely but they can suggest a random villager. If its a random villager, you'll have to reset your game and try again until they prompt the person you want to get rid of.

What does it mean when people say gifted or slightly gifted when talking about villagers in boxes?

gifted villagers have been given gifts (items) that change the default interior of their house or their default wardrobe in some way. you cannot "ungift" a villager and some people don't like villagers that were given gifts they didn't pick, it's just a preference thing.

when hunting for your starting villagers (5th lazy in this case), can it choose from ALL lazy villagers or only a specific group to appear on islands?

mostly curious. Since they only get starter houses, I try to pick villagers I'm not fond of for my starters but I keep seeing ones I like 😆

ahh okay, yeah it might just be that there's a lot of cute lazies! i've never heard of there being a specific beginner pool aside from the personality groups, so you should be able to find all of them. what i don't know is if the beginning stage of the game rolls the same way as the rest of the game, first species, then villager within that species with some sort of personality lock.

is there any way to balloon farm faster? i read all tips and tricks online, putting on walls so the balloon cannot go over forcing it to move down until there isn’t a wall, speaking to a npc for 5 mins and check for balloons after 5 mins but every 5 mins there’s nothing, the balloons to me appears every 10-20 mins that i’m growing impatient

if you completed the conversation in any way (including saying "no, not that villager") then their choice is locked in and can't be changed

in the future, if you didn't already know, if a camper suggests a villager that you don't want to leave, close the game without finishing the conversation. Then they can ask for someone else the next time
