__ •• Changes to the Middleman Service ••__
Based on the some constructive feedback we have received from a handful of lovely members who have requested our services since it was first announced, we have substantially changed and adapted our rules and the guidelines in place for requesting some of our services to allow us to extend our support to more members of the server who are looking for help with trades and resetting their island!
What does the Copper & Booker (middleman) team do and what services do they provide?
- Act as a trusted third party in trades of any value (to prevent scams)
- Hold up to 160 items (4 inventories) for you if you wish to reset your island, or up to 320 (8 inventories) if you request 24 hours in advance
- Transfer items between accounts
- Hold a villager (so you can reset their house or if you wish to keep them while you reset), subject to availability
The Copper & Booker (middleman) team is a group of dedicated volunteers who can keep your trades safe from potential scams, no matter the value, or help you keep up to a maximum of 320 items when resetting your island. If you would like a fresh start, but don’t want to lose all of your hard earned items and bells when you reset your island, or if you are apprehensive about trading with a stranger and would like the support of a trained third party who has been screened by server staff to help ensure a smooth, safe transaction, the middleman team is the perfect place!

Middleman Service Changes:
We have removed all minimums on our trade services — whether that be for items, currency exchange, or villager purchases. This means that regardless of whether you’re trading an item for 2,000 bells or 2,000,000 bells, the middleman service will be on standby to make sure your trade goes smoothly.
We have brainstormed various ways to expand our service and support to help as many members as possible with resetting their island. With this in mind, and the ongoing feedback of having middlemen hold more than the maximum of 160 items, we are happy to announce that we are introducing a new service — Reserve-a-middleman!
With this brand new service, members can now request and have 2 middlemen hold a maximum of 320 items (8 inventories!) to transfer to their new save by reserving and scheduling a time with a middleman at least 24 hours in advance as opposed to the 160 item limit. Up to 2 middlemen will then be able to prepare and team up to hold your items for a maximum of 2 hours at the time that you schedule.
If you do not request and schedule a time at least 24 hours in advance, we will consider and treat your request as a ‘walk-in’ reset, meaning that you will be capped at the 160 item limit, regardless of whether more than one middleman are helping with your request.
To reserve a middleman, simply fill out this template in #request-a-middleman🛎️🙋♀️ and let the middleman who takes your request know what time you would like to schedule with us so we can prepare and ensure we have enough middlemen on hand.

When we added the trade-gate back in 2020, the server had a huge influx of users, and we decided in order to create a safe trading environment for everyone we would create a system that would require users to accept the trade rules. This did help, but as time has gone on we've realised that it's not as necessary as it once was.
I'd still advise all users to remain vigilant with trades, and to stay safe! Remember that if you need to do a high value trade (or you want to hold some items for an island reset) you can always contact our free Middleman service by reading and messaging in
