I need help with rock spawning!
So I stopped playing acnh in November. Mainly because im having trouble with my rock garden, and it puts me in a bad mood each time I play. I've made this same rock garden in a previous island, so I know it works. The rocks aren't close together, aren't by a cliff/water and I even taken out the incline that was nearby (but still should have been far enough away to not matter) No furniture and trees are nearby just patterns to keep them from spawning in the spaces I DONT want. I've checked the whole island for other rocks, and skipped several days. Can anybody notice what im missing? Im at a loss

You can scan them at Harvey's, or your abd machine for a campsite villager. You only need to scan 1 compatible amiibo to get all of the furniture items. To invite them to live on your island you will need to use the abd and an amiibo associated with the character.

To improve the hotel reputation, decorate rooms every day, and donate diys. Ive also heard island development can also help the hotel reputation, but I cant say for sure.

When you open an island or visit an island choose i want to fly -> visit a friend. And a dialogue will pop up where you get the best friends app. Then when you visit said friend, they will show upon your best friends app. You do have to be friends on the switch itself for this to work though

No worries! To trade you will need NSO, and then you need to visit the island of the person who has Drago in boxes, go to Drago's house, and talk to him to invite him to move to your island. Afterwards, leave the island, go to the empty plot- it should now say sold and something about the plot being reserved for Drago.

It's mostly rng, little bit math. Villager hunts can be excruciatingly tedious, I won't lie to you.

I don't have the probability math off the top of my head, but I do know that it's annoying as heck and varies between species.

Octopus are guaranteed to be the most common to encounter because there are only 4, meaning their probability is higher than species with 10+ villagers. It really is just a game of patience and hope. There is not really any help I can provide for you to make it easier, since it is all mostly chance. I do hope you are able to find the one you look for soon though ^w^

Question for people that maintain two islands on a regular switch and a switch 2 using one virtual card

If I purchase the upgrade to the nintendo switch 2 version and "apply" it to my animal crossing virtual card, will I still be able to load the virtual card on my regular switch and play the island on that console?

The island is linked to the console, not the card, so you won't be able to play the same island without manually transferring it with the transfer tool, but you can use the virtual card between both switches to play 2 different islands. You can only play one of them at a time, but you can move the card between devices as much as you would like.

As for the switch 2 upgrade, it is only compatible with the switch 2 and won't even load to the switch 1

I do understand the islands being linked to the consoles, I was worried that buying the ns2 upgrade for my ns2 island would prevent me from loading the virtual card for my ns1 island on my ns1 (a different island from my ns2 island altogether).

Sadly there's no way to get them to move in permanently from the hotel. Hopefully they show up on a hunt or your campsite in the future though! They won't show up at your campsite if they're at the hotel though.

2. Is it possible to remove a custom design we displayed in the Ables Sisters? (without replacing it, just reset to default). I did it in early game 5 years ago to share a stone path I had drawn to a friend, but since my residents often wear it. I would have them to keep their regular clothes.

You get the able sisters when you purchase from Mables pop up booth a few times.
The switch app is kinda tedious, not gonna lie, and its kind of limited in what qr ones you can find, but there is an site that helps you design on your phone and gives qr codes for them, id have to look it up since its been a few years since ive used it though. The design portal is honestly the most straight forward way, since you can look up designs, or creator codes.

Dream addresses are a great way to see them in use, but you cant take the designs with you unless the uploader is the original creator, and most people just use the portal.

Autofill is when the plot gets sold automatically. You can only do 1 hunt a day, so I would suggest not putting down the second plot until the next day, so you don't risk it.

Also the ranch items are a 2.0 set, so you can get those from either HHP or Nooks Cranny. They won't be in the hotel catalogue.

Usually I can tell between common and rare sea creatures by looking at the movement pattern the bubbles are. Usually the sea pig is a small shadow with frequent and randomly spaced out bubbles that moves extremely fast when you get near it. The first time i caught one took hours of searching, but I also caught one randomly yesterday during 5pm hour. It takes a lot of patience thats for sure.

Once you unlock resident services and run into Harvey, tom will wake you up at your door and tell you he has someone for you to meet. Then youll meet lottie in the airport, and from there on you can fly to hhp.

(You dont need to talk to harvey, he just has the same requirements so if you see him you know that tom will visit you the next day)

Seasonal islands follow the season the trees are in! I love finding summer islands so I can catch sharks! You cant change your time without saving your game with the minus button, so unfortunately you probably cant catch it on a kappn island, but if you really want to get it you can change the time on your island to cherry blossom season and catch it there ^w^

Theyre large modded islands with all of the buildings pushed to the sides, have no oceans, and have a bunch of items for visitors to grab that respawn every time you rejoin.

The catalog is limited at first but you expand it by decorating all the rooms and doing the crafting quests for the hotel.

Inside the hotel the old lady kappa is the person you talk to to access the catalog and you know you got all eaxpansions whenshe mentions rare itms and the consoles become available in the catalog

While theyre a guest at the hotel they won't show up at your campsite or on hunts, but if theyre not currently a guest, you can hunt for them like normal

Ive gotten stinky as a starter when I was rerolling for islands on my second switch- i didnt keep him though. Starter villagers work the same as they did before the update. Takes time and patience, but you got this!
