I really wish they would focus on the permanent fixtures to the game instead of stuff that disappears. Imagine the diversity we would have if alot of these modifiers werent seasonal. Theres so many of them that would be good built into our shd watch as a permanent buff.

They have mentioned a few times now that they put alot of work and effort into the companion seasonal modifier only for it to be lacklustre. I think the focus on seasonal disappearing core content is a stupid approach to a game that needs more rather than less.

For 3 whoel seasons we have had ONE permanent feature which was retaliation and even now theyre pointless to run if youve already got the exotics.

If you're turning off the seasonal modifiers altogether then you won't get that buff (but also won't have to deal with hostile modifiers). If you're just deselecting the active modifier then you should get the buff but also see hostile modifiers around.

I started this game maybe 2 weeks ago and got to SHD 500 but we just had a 5x EXP event. Watch out for those because they seem to run plenty of in game events like that which i really enjoyed. I think there is another 3x exp event coming soon. But for level 1-40 playing the game doing story missions and side quests you'll level up fast

Yes i did the same i took my time with all the side quests and main missions and i was max level way before i could finish either of the DLC's

The missions and enemies just scale up to your level, if you were to run a level 17 mission at level 26 it would just be 26 though so you dont really miss out still just as fun and engaging

Look at the map and you will see it is zoned. All activity is match at least to your level. So you wander around your applicable zone(s) and do the activities before move on. Note you can enter higher level zones. Anything above 3 levels will be op and not not have the power to counter. I think you can reach lvl40 in dc now. It used to be 1-30 in dc and 31-40 in ny. If you didnt do all the side missions in dc and just went to ny the side missions would lock. Be mindful of that.

Detectors were showing up left & right, but so where the True Son goon squads plus the Outcasts roaming into the fray while I nearly aggro’d the nearby level 4 control point but we just ended up fighting just outside the points front lawn lmao— and I didn’t die :DDDD

My assault boy really came in clutch tonight, especially when drawing aggro + picking me up + tanking and throwing hands with the bounty targets— even had to swap out my secondary weapon from a shotgun to an LMG to NOT die so quickly— came close to being cold turkey 5 times over though- 3 were close calls/2 were revives by hive or by buddy

This was touched on by the devs before in streams and theres a technical issue tied to this - we already see people having issues with loot dropping on the floor if your bag is full at the end of certain missions and if the mission reloads you lose out on whats on the floor.

Also, the Chinese version has this feature but im not fully clued in on how they got around the issue that massive claims is the reason for the lack of this feature.

Keep in mind that the hounds no longer drop all of the named loot they used to. the only drops you will get will be 2 event caches from the houndsman himself

both are fun and you can play d2 without having played d1.

go ahead and play d1 tho it'll have more people with survival fest going on.

and both game's story modes can be solo'd if you're good enough :)

I have like a thousand hours in D1 and about three times that much in D2

I'd still start with Div 1, simply because the atmospheric vibes are immaculate. But the switch in how gear works in Div 2 is def better.

Or If you are on DCD head quarter. That one spot with chemical stuffs
