thanks
If I activate perpetuation dies it deactivate after switching weapons
What does weapon handling do? Like specifically
1% of weapon handling is 1% stability, 1% accuracy, 1% swap speed, 1% reload speed
So assuming you have a full roll of weapon handling on a piece of gear (8%) that’s 8% of the above stats
Thanks. I’m theory crafting an exotic that increases your weapon handling a ton
Hmm?
There is no exotic that does that
The only talent that does it is unwavering … or on empty and outsider
Like I said, I’m coming up with one
Is there an updated spreadsheet or something showing max dps for weapons before optimizing?
Been farming MPX’s and the higher I’ve gotten so far is 122.9k DPS. I’ve gotten worse SMGs with higher DPS. Trying to figure out what the max DPS would be so I can wait for that one and optimize
There’s a spreadsheet pinned in #td2-build-advice
Some smgs have low burst damage meaning their fire rate paired with their bullet damage per second is not high enough for CQC
So just bc you see a higher dps doesn’t mean it’s actually higher you’ll notice the burst when being rushed and up close
Any advice for killing hunters?
Checked out the list on the google sheet and the DPS numbers don’t make sense lol
Shows base damage at level 40 at 55k mine is at 122k dps
You need distance
Foam works well to get a couple shots if they push
What gun
MPX SMG
When you start a 2nd character and get it to lvl 40, does it put the same SHD lvl as the first one?
Yes, after you get Keener's watch
So you get to re-spend all the points
i.e. how people hit expertise 20 in a day
Can nemesis drop in countdown?
As long as you've collected the Blueprint, then: yes.
oh i didnt, thanks
Yup gotta wait for an invaded GWH
Because the number the game shows you is increased by red cores and other weapon damage sources.
How much better are legendary drops compared to heroic?
Also, do directives help get better rolls or do they only make targeted loot more likely to drop?
better
Is legendary the recommended difficulty to get God rolls?
Is there anything else I should look for in Kenly after I got Diamondback?
yes. the issue is staying alive to kill adds to drop them
they are noticeably better, as legendary has better minimum rolls, thus increasing the chances of a usable roll, and god rolls become more common
and drop quality is only affected by difficulty, target loot frequency is affected by both difficulty and number of directives
on if its recommended to go legendary, it will depend on how effective you/your group are at clearing legendary, if you can keep a decent pace in legendary its will be worthwile
for stuff like gear mods, i find it much easier to farm there for good rolls over heroic,
but if you are barely moving along in legendary, its way better to stick to heroic and get more drops overall to increase your chances at something usable
Thanks, I'll stick with heroic
I play mostly with random so the groups are hit or miss
I don't think my build can handle legendary well enough to push at a steady pace
Scorpio = win
The summit in heroic is fast, only get a real pushback in the tip floors, say 90+
What's the "you have 2 weekly challenge rewards" notification?
is there any spreadsheet about materials needed for expertise??
There's an exotic vest give armor to me and my allies when our shields is broken can i get that vest from countdown?
thats tardigrade iirc. i got mine from exotic cache, it should drop on CD
Can you still do all the open world Hunter encounters for the masks on a boosted character? Cause I read you can't start those before you did this side mission and since I can't do them on a booster character, are they considered done and I can kill the Hunters anyway or do I need to make a new character?
Fair point, worth a shot
Thanks
Do them on a regular character, then once you have unlocked the chests, you can open them on the alts.
@dim crag did you open all 3 secret rooms
Did I open what now?
I don't even know all the steps, I just skipped through a video to see what the masks look like
Didn't want to look into that before I knew if I could even kill them at all
Id be interested in this, I have no idea where to start with the whole expertise system
tbh right now what i do is, go to countdown, select the thing you want, to and do it, loot EVERYTHING as trash unless it got something you want, extract, donate
takes about 30 item of the same brand to rank it up to max i think....
oh hell....
@dim cragyou asked about kenley colledge, there are secrect pain in ass rooms to get into
You asking the wrong dude i dont know either
Oh that, I don't think I have, I saw them on the map but I was just doing the investigations for the Exotic
Guess I could go back and get those
Take a friend or 2 it helps
Is there any way to get a Rouge agent duo to spawn consistently?
there isnt a fully reliable way, but going to the summit, going up the elevator to a non boss floor, and respawning yourself over and over till you get them is one way that can work, but it may take a while,
the other is to just run low lvl CPs and make sure to call for reinforcements in the first phase
Do I have to be playing on hard?
Technician lvl 4 field research assignment: what does it mean to kill an EMP jammered enemy? I don't have access to the emp grenades so I'm not sure how to emp them
Ah gotcha 👍
As a general rule of thumb, what kind of pieces is it worth to donate materials for? Weapons (+damage) and what else? Gear pieces having +armor I dont know if they're worth upgrading
ok i like genuinely cant find any info on what "kill enemy scorchers" means
like cleaners w/ flamethrowers? pvp?
@narrow kraken okay thanks 👍 I'm wasting some resources when I deconstruct cause I got the cap, so I was wondering what I could use them for
Best healing t0 skill for a DPS build?
do chest armor drops from targeted loot only drop with the weapon damage core attribute? I've been trying to farm some specific chest pieces today and I haven't seen a single non weapon damage core stat drop in at least 20 targeted chest drops
or is it maybe brand dependant?
I see, thank you. Is there an overview somewhere on what brand drops with what core attribute?
its the outcast flame thrower ladies, they are common in outcast cps and bounties
could try the emergency bunker, there's a room full of them
wheres the bunker?
West End, top right corner, of west end, West end is at top left
thank you ^^
one more thing, if I spam fire as a firewall, what other skill should I be using besides the fire shield
chem launcher?
for fire attacks? chem launcher if you can shoot the cloud fast enough, if not, airburst seeker
oki
for the fire chem launcher, double tapping the button its on will ignite the cloud, there isnt ever a good reason to actually do it by shooting
also if you are a red style build you are best off just using a revive hive+shield
looking more into yellow than red tbh
So you can’t pick targeted weapon mods in countdown? You can only get them in Summit and doing level 3/4 check points?
you should be able to
I was targeting loot in there earlier
I selected gear mods but they haven’t been line weapon related like lasers or magazines
weapon mods dont work the same as gear mods
i walked in but i didnt get the mission start notif, is it single completion only?
your main sources for weapon mods are the ones you unlock from the quartermaster for shd caches, and the specific blueprint you get from side missions and then general pool blueprints that you get from cp3/4, invaded missions, projects and other sources for blueprints
they are all listed in the spreadsheet in the pinned comments in #td2-build-advice , with what blueprint comes from what source
you can reset a mission by reselecting a difficulty from the mission dialog, either from at the mission start or from the map
i did that and nothing happened, the mission starts in that underground gallery right?
:/ it wants me to do it on vet wtf
In some summit floors there are hives. when I get close, I can see the green sparks coming my way but my shield doesn't restore. Is that a glitch?
nope, hold g on the mission select to restart it
can you get a rock & roll shotgun from countdown?
I think it's DZ-locked. You could also get it from named caches though, but it's still rng
the support boxes that you can hack to be on your side in summit do only heal armour of the player, they dont heal skill proxies or shields
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I thought if you had a piece of gear let’s say a holster and it has 80% of max armor and weapon damage. I was under the impression that using that gear equipped would make those stats reach max. But now I’m reading you have to use optimization
I thought using the gear makes it proficient and raises the attributes to max or is that only with weapons or something
using the gear and increasing proficiency isnt how you raise the attributes
Considering how high the cost is like 1500 smg parts in optimization probably makes more sense to farm for a god roll instead of trying to get and deconstruct 1300 smgs
Its a marathon, not a sprint.
I also screwed up recalibrating my high dps smg. I changed the talent to close and personal and now I can’t change the attributes. Didn’t realize it was a one time thing/you can only change either a talent or 1 attribute not eveything
Sounds like you'll need to find a new SMG.
I farmed the same SMG and got a bunch but no where near the same DPS one I’m using now. Might be a max dps one
Have a MPX doing 122k DPS but a stupid swap attribute I find useless (would prefer 10% damage out of cover more) but all the other MPX’s I’ve gotten from countdown are like 112k dps
i generally dont trust the dps counter myself. Any MPX with the same #s will be the same.
assuming everything else in your build stays the same
I farmed 10 expertise levels and want to get the same DPS but with the attributes I want before leveling it up. I also got the Scorpio exotic the other night and is super low dps compared to common shotguns so I’m not going to level that one up either
scorpio is the best shotgun
good firerate, good damage, reload doesnt take a year, and it completely negates any problem enemies.
Yeah but the DPS is kinda low, wondering if I got it again if the DPS would be higher
you are focusing on dps too much, just reconfigure it a few times until you get near max rolls and go on your way
Think the DPS is like 800K and I have other common shotguns in the high 900k to 1 million
normal shotguns dont add status effects to the enemies as easily
What do you mean reconfigure?
and the massive debuff
you can reconfigure exotics to "reroll" the stat percentages
Didn’t realize that. I thought you had to buy a reconfigure blue print from the crafting lady to do so (and didn’t see Scorpio available)
you do have to buy the blueprint from inaya, you might need to log out and log back in for it to appear
but regardless scorpio is a workhorse of a weapon, very very good
And I think people have posted to on Reddit to not reroll exotics as the numbers go down more often the going up
also not really correct
i've gotten perfect roll exotics, i've had exotics go down a bit. Generally i'd get two exotics and then reroll the lower one
And you can’t reroll high ends? Just change one attribute in recalibrate?
no rerolls for highend stuff, no
just recalibration and optimisations
1 recal, infinite opti until its stats are full
And just want to double check this but you can only change 1 thing in recal? Meaning I can’t change all 3 attributes and the talent? I’m only allowed to do 1 ? And once I do it I can’t go back
you can only change one line, if you have an SMG that has 0.1% weapon damage, 0.1% critical hit chance, and then 0.1% damage to out of cover and reformation or whatever, you could max out weapon damage, but then you cant change damage out of cover or the talent, just optimise the DTTOOC and CHC- or you could change the talent and optimise it given the resources, but once you recalibrate that line it wont let you recalibrate any other lines
Yeah that’s what I thought
Changed the talent to close and personal and couldn’t change the swap attribute after
rip
I’m still new so it’s a process lol
Thought I had an insane build until I tried the capital building on legendary lol
Real quick way to get your ego checked, yeah.
Also on a side note. Not sure if this happens a lot or I just had 2 bad people. But I was in a party of 4 doing the capital building on legendary and it was basically just me and this other dude doing eveything by our selves. The other 2 just hid behind cover like a mile away and would wait until we killed everyone and get the loot. There were times I died and spectated and I don’t think those 2 fired a single shot the whole mission. So I bounced
Not only wouldn’t they fire a single shot but they wouldn’t even revive us 2 that were the only ones killing enemies
i know a slow strat is to go with skills and stay alive, but maybe they were just mad
Yeah kinda turned me off from wanting to do it again. And I’ve seen it a few times in countdown too
Dudes hang back wait until we killed everyone then collect the loot
Wish their was a reputation level or something to flag those people
Is there's any other gears than gloves, knees that have special atrribute?
I mean gloves have damage to armor and knee have Dtooc does other gear have samething?
most of the nameds in the mask, glove, knee and holster slot work with a a special stat, none of the other ones are as usefull as those two though, for the full list you can have a look under named gear in the spreadsheet in the pinned comments in #td2-build-advice
what's skill haste do?
makes skills regen faster after use
My bad, I meant the repair station doesn't heal my armor even though I see the green sparks coming to me
Also, are proficiency upgrades bound to the item? Say, you have two copies of the same named bag and you upgrade one, the other remains at lvl 0 right ?

Hello can someone tell me if you can get offense core attribute in the heartbreaker set gear? So far ive only seen blue core attribute. Ive seen some youtubers with red core attribute, but i cant seem to get one
You have to recalibrate it
when i try to use the recalibration station, it says no replacements found
ah i need to extract it first
there are two types of those, one heals, although its also a small heal, and one gives a booster hive buff, that one shows up in your buff bar, they both basically look the same
when you expertise upgrade a weapon/gear to increase its damage/armour, its only that piece, the skill upgrade are account wide
can you only recalibrate something once?
Technically infinite but only one slot
once you recalibrate that slot only that can be changed
Oh gotcha, hope I won't trash an upgraded item by error
ah dang
time to go find a cookbook with yellow
are daily missions worth it?
How do I complete this activity? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/717441612757729303/998120978779488276/Tom_Clancys_The_Division_2_2022.07.17_-_02.53.30.00.png
I have a Scorpio with Expertise at level 10. I want to reroll the stats to try and get a better roll. If I reroll the stats, will I lose the expertise?
Only one way to find out
Never thought about that actually
Knowing this game, it will probably erase the expertise upgrade
Damn. That's unfortunate. Thanks for the reply.
Guess i will have too. Didn't want to give up in the one I had spent so much resources on to get to level 10.
are the missions on legendary always scaled to 4 players?
No. Iirc
Missions, probably. Summit i kinda doubt it lol
Is all content in this game soloable outside of raids?
Without yaknow it being a massive ballache, like will it scale down to one person
If you put your mental fortitude and have the right build yes
Leg missions are mentioned previously
it was basically impossible to duo the legendary stronghold
I know 2 that could solo legendaries in my clan
And my clan leader were able to solo countdown
Any advice on sets I should chase for solo? Using a blue Heartbreaker atm
Scoped rifle with shield is the closest concept I can think of on the top of my head
@dusk vortex what has he for a build that he can doing legendary and Countdown solo?
I am so unsure about the former but the latter you can look it up in reddit
all legendary content scales to player count, the strongholds have almost the same number of spawns for solo as for 4man, but they are health/armour scaled down by allot
ok what have he for a build for countdown solo?
Tbh what's important is you have to know their behaviours and all
and they arent hard to solo, they are hard to learn to solo, but once you understand how and what spawns when, they arent harder than heroics after a while
nice this build and that he can doing this solo
Just be mindful about the enemies too
Yo Is it possible for someone to drop me some good gear that they don’t need?
Hey Aspect, Sanitizer, Rendy0
"2 weekly challenge rewards available" (top left notification), where do I claim those ?
where or how do I get waveform?
Ehhh idk, I sometimes do them (just matchmake with randos) if they're not a mission I dislike. Mostly when I don't have anything specific to do or any content I want to tackle in particular
holster TL
if they get the loot in the same session/group as you and they drop it
TL?
Targeted Loot
okay thx
Imo they're not worth the grind but I do them for the content. For activities I usually do 1 or 2 CP, so heroic with directives 1 Mission + 2 CP add up to a few SHD levels
I get the feeling people don't like directives. I usually matchmake for heroic with a few directives on , randos will join and immediately leave a few times until I get to build a team
ammo and skill directives will definitely put people off as they make various builds unplayable
where do i get the eclipse protocol armor from
anywhere, but you'll get the most in areas where EP is the target loot
if it aint the targeted loot i gotta wait till it resets?
You can set your own choice of target loot in countdown and summit, and change it whenever you want, if it isn't already somewhere else you want to farm
Hoarders or specsa MMO?
I don't understand the question
does Blind work for Anarchist Cookbook?
should do, it's a status effect
does it matter what difficulty i get something on the stats will be the same?
thought I'd check, it seems like a cheesy status to apply to get a big buff
like if i got a set piece on normal vs legendary it wont have higher stats? i just gotta upgrade it right
higher difficulty means better tier loot and better % on that loot
base item is the same, the quality depends on the stat rolls, but they always have the same maximum, whatever difficulty you get them from - legendary is just much more likely to drop with high rolls
If I never crafted the chatterbox but someone dropped me a chatterbox on a mission, has that unlocked the chatterbox into my general loot pool?
gotcha okay ty
Or do I need to go farm the pieces
if youre level 40 it has a set maximum roll, anything below 40 and you get a lower maximum. level 30 has like 5% weapon damage compared to the 15% max for level 40 and above
you need to farm the pieces, but you won't be able to if the chatterbox you were given is in your inventory or stash - you have to move it to the inventory of a spare character
Ah got it. Thanks!
You have probably noticed that the Spec Revamp is not included in either of the remaining Year 4 Seasons. We are still working on the feature and only plan to announce the release date when we are absolutely satisfied with the quality. what does that mean??
Specialist revamps? probably re working how specialist weapons or how the tree is. Maybe both
it means we won't get a spec revamp this year
got my 4 pc eclipse protocol pretty easy
they were planning it for the current season originally, there was an intelligence annex post about it last november or so
but obviously they're struggling to balance it
oh damn
anyone have a LMG marksman rifle build?
those 2 weapon types dont really overlap well build wise, its going to either be a lmg build you jsut stuck a mmr into, or a mmr build with a lgm to take care of cqc stuff
MMR build with a LMG to take care of CQC would be cool
if there's a better gun to use with the MMR I'm down for changing to that too :o
is there a good way to get mods like 12% critical hit damage, i play the game a bit but I never get maxed out mods
have a look in the pinned spreadsheet in #td2-build-advice , there is both a aces build and a headhunter build guides,
for the aces you can pair it well with any auto weapon for close range, and for the headhunter you can pair it well with shottys and high power pistols
ok thanks :)
legendary summit with many directives and targeted loot set to gear mods, if you can go fast enough trough it to make it worthwhile, otherwise on the hardest difficulty you can in either summit or countdown
it will still be a rng, i know people that had 3 chd mods by shd 400, and i know people at 1k that still dont have 3 12% chd mods
thank you
what’s the easiest way to find the snitch can’t find him in my usual spot where find him
anyone still having the constant PC crashes? I though we got a patch for the issue but apparently not
managed to find him thx
wrong ping but 👍🏼
whoops wrong person sorry
Can anybody give me the link how to complete 30 floor in summit quickly for exotic cache
I searched in youtube but didnt find
Actually IDK i want the exotic cache 😅
what gear disassembles into electronics?
trying to find the best way to get electronics
do gear sets normally come with 1 minor stat? or 2
gear set pieces come with 1 core and 1 minor(where normal gear has 2 minors), thats to balance against the 2-3-4piece talents they get
gotcha ok
where does vile mask drop
targeted loot masks, countdown is likely the fastest farm for it,
farming lvl 10 summit - will I have to re-run floor 1-9 once I end my farm session and eventually go back to it at a later time?
ty
Is the summit in legendary unpopular ? I've been having issue to matchmake
Also, it always feels kinda bad to deconstruct God rolls of stuff I don't want
Errrrr it only lets me replay the Manning zoo in story difficulty (!)
matchmaking for it can be hit or miss, depends on if you are doing it at decent time for your timezone, and with GE weeks it can be even harder as it splits the playerbase
for missions, you have to do them on story first to get acces to all the difficulties, you do this automaticlly while leveling for the main missions, but for all the offsite missions, you still have to do it like that to gain full acces to them
that particular patch is due on August 9th
Oh ok, I thought we got that with the most recent patch
But I remember doing this mission at least once
It's kinda glitched maybe
I've heard others reporting the same thing (stuck on story mode however many times they do it) but haven't heard of a fix.
Oh ffff
Well I just redid it and I can pick other difficulties now
But I could swear I remember fighting this boss
you might have done it the first time on someone else's session on a higher difficulty
you can matchmake or join others on it, also for manning the invaded version and on the league week does not have this requirement, the requirement is to do it on story in your/a valid session once, i have never heard someone having issues with it other than that they have done it on a difficulty/invaded and assumed they should have unlocked it.
@oak talon @supple swift that must be it then, in any case I redid it, Manning is a real PITA
Btw we just fought rogue agents in the summit, I was playing as medic and it was surprisingly fun
'rogue agent detected'
<switches secondary to scorpio>
forgot "matchmake" immediately to get more rogues
Cleared floor 99 solo for first time O_O Lets see whats on the next
How many items do I need to level up to proficient to increase an expertise rank?
20 until level 15, then it's 14
20 is the cap, it goes a little further than that though at all items proficient
like 20 and 3/14 I think
Oh okay but you get there only by exhausting all the items ? That's pretty crazy
yep haha, printer filament will be ur best friend
I'm far from there fortunately, im expertise rank 3 And I play with the same handful builds so I don't anticipate ranking up too much
How many shd levels to get proficient on a item ?
300 if you just spend the points on printer filament. I think it's like 250 if you get 10k e-credits instead, buy 2 mods, and deconstruct them for printer filament
you can get pretty far just by donating items tbh
like put weapon types targeted in countdown and just mass donate
I got to 10 like that really easily
No, I mean, if I have a lvl 0 weapon, how many shd do I have to have it equipped until I get proficient with ir ?
like SHD as in XP? not sure exactly, the XP from leveling and proficiency XP are different
Oh ok
Yeah I was wondering how much time it takes to be proficient on a piece
I don't vary my equipment much anyway so .
I cannot say I expected to find what was on the roof of floor 100....
Why is it up there? xD
Fair point. I was referring to the...item on the balcony at the end xD
Item on the balcony?
the giant crashed satellite, that somehow didn't level the whole building
No specific amount unfortunately since your shd xp counts mission rewards and directives + accolades (survive, headshot bonus, melee bonus)
The proficiency only counts enemies you kill (3400 xp) or enemies your teammates kill (2400 xp)
Donating guns / gear counts (44,000) xp so 2 guns donated gives you 1 proficiency level
It’s easy at the start, because you find everything but then it gets tedious cause some stuff you have to use against your will
Try using the railsplitter at long range 😭
Anyone knows why I can't use the lion eyes on the statue?
I collected them but the prompt doesn't appear
did you fast travel?
yeah
i vaguely recall doing a fast travel bugs it out.
i could be wrong though
I mean it has been for all the hunters none of them have ever spawned for me
Cant fast travel for the lion eyes hunter, gotta walk. And theres a lot you can be doing wrong for the other hunters, gotta follow the instructions to a T
whats the best healing skill?
Honestly? Using cover.
Avoiding damage is better than any self heal in div2.
I’d say the healing hive
I think heals are really weak in div 2 without skill tiers
I THINK
It’s passive and not a lot of room for error
I only heal at 6 tiers and never below
and yeah I think the hive is good
the only scenario where it isn't good is probably control room in iron horse because it heals you even if you have -5 hp
I mean facts but I get flanked alot in the missions and my 686k armor drops pretty quickly
The chem launcher prevents you from using your weapon imo because the delay between when you swap to it and when it actually is swapped is so inconsistent and long that your teammate might be dead by the time you get the heal out
The drone is great if you're using an All Red, since it's passive
On controller it’s annoying to use as well because you have to hold L1 / LB to use the chem launcher and aim it
oh yeah true
oh jeez
I personally would put on 2 piece belstone + gunner if you’re running all red (swap cores on belstone to red)
If you’re using a rifle you could just do with the 1 piece
Save your skill slot for something else
You want more time to kill… decoy / blinder firefly
Im almost all red :o I gotta get a better backpack and a mask with max headshot damage I'm running a headhunter sniper shotgun build :o
Punch drunk mask
so by these numbers it'd take around 260 kills to fully level an item? that doesn't seem right. i'm pretty sure it goes way slower for me. soloing any mission yields a hundred kills or so, according to end stats.
ye, a good CD run gives me about half a prof level for a given AR.
Grinding countdown endlessly is not as fun as people make it out to be. What I can say is it’s better to play with other people
sometimes maybe more? dunno. but less that a level certaily.
Donating is better unless you really can’t find that item such as DZ or named / exotic
Then you use it
It’s a waste of time trying to use it imo… it affects your build
that's exactly the problem: finding a use for those weird pieces.
For example I used mechanical animal and it was okay… held up fine… the railsplitter tho made me dread playing
I kinda enjoy using random well rolled guns that are "off meta" in Countdown.
Way more interesting than using my c7 for the 799th hour.
The talent is so useless
thanks :)
but it's just CTAR at base, shouldn't be that bad?
like yeah, you got no talent on a gun, but who cares, they don't do much anyway.
This update messed with my playstyle… forgetting the fact that the damage increase is minimal. The fact you have to either use the weapon or donate it affects the playstyle of switching out to different guns
Like it’s a godsend to those people who only run Police M4 all day
But someone who goes from AR —> lmg —> other AR is so chaotic 🤣
Personally I kind of gave up trying to use those items I know I’m never gonna use
I haven't found that at all. I just go back to the BoO every few Countdowns and library > expertise > junk everything with a ! and not worth keeping for a future build.
I kind of hoard stuff so I don’t have space 😭
New character same problem
Back at 147/150 every time
It becomes second nature after a while.
I guarantee a lot of what you're hoarding is junk
It is
I just am like I’ll use this one day
If the item is rare by my find I like to hold onto it
My rule of thumb is: can it not be made perfect with 1 recal and almost no optimisation? It goes into the furnace.
Like some guy was looking at my build and was like “yooo you have a godrolled p416”… next thing you know I started collecting those thinking they were rare 😂
So long as I can change the talent (it has dttoc and at least 70% rolls) I hold onto it
I go for 80% and up
Countdown means I can be picky
I notice after like 3 runs tho stuff starts to stop dropping
It starts giving random loot
Potential bug, an update should fix thst
So what's the difference between the SBR 9mm and tactical Vector?
Also, which Vector is the best?
they have different base magsize and base dmg, the tac vector has more basedmg but a tiny magsize
Thanks for the figures that's very helpful
Ihear you, trashing God rolls feels bad even if they're common pieces
gentlemen, about 'naked' talent for mmrs. does it work non-stop on chungas?
like, is their ablative helmet considered not armour?
.45 has way better DPS
9mm has slightly bigger mag
that's all
There is also 9mm compact - it has even bigger DPS, but pertty low mag pool
which guns have you liked so far
Since when Car7 is meta?
Pvpers been using it since long
If took raw math and forget about weapon perk, then Famas is frkn top DPS AR.
Then you would like to have f2000 and TKB, honey badger
Worst ARs would be MK-16 and ACR, dunno why devs ain't fixing their ROF or DPB...
Maybe some people like sound of slow ROF 😩
Yes, I do, and TKB is pretty slow (650 rpm)
carbine is a really good middle-ground lol
it's basically P416 but with more accuracy
imo they really need to rebalance weapons and weapon mods
there is literally no point in the PRO stability sight that gives you 5% stability when there's a sight that gives 5% weapon handling
do i need to keep my loadout items on me or can i just keep them in the stash?
the ones you use more yes
all guides recommend it, along with police m4. there's some reason for it, probably. like controllability.
the difference between AR models is rather small anyway. like if you hit 5% better accuracy with some model, that overtakes any numerical disadvantages it might have on paper.
dunno, but m4 is slightly better than Car7
Well, DPS diff between Famas and ACR would be around 16%
I still find 40 ish rounds from the tactical 9mm to be very potent, just need to find good rolls, and maybe a decent perk, heard flatline is solid, might try to make it for general use though, so maybe something like optimist or the reload speed on crit one still good to see pulse builds getting some attention
long-term, including reloads?
now, sure, there might be outliers that should be rebalanced. i've never used ACR, didn't have decent drops, so dunno personally.
but the bulk of the lineup should be more or less interchangeable.
tact 9mm has the highest burst dps
but make sure you have enough reds to kill heroic elite in 1 mag
then again if you are going by 1magsize kill, tact 9mm is one of the worst
Does Ridgeway's Pride pieces follow the 1/3/5/7 drop, or does it drop automatically for summit boss kills for the first time?
random drop i believe from various floors
specific pieces only drop from specific floors
They drop randomly, but they drop from the summit boxes, every 20 floors. 1-20, 21-40, etc.
"Acquiring Ridgeway's Pride is going to require time spent clearing the new PvE mode, The Summit. And by clearing it I mean clearing all of it. Before you can even begin to piece together the exotic, you have to collect five pieces from The Summit which have a chance to drop from the large loot caches that appear between floors.
"Vest: Normal Body Armor" on floor 1-10
"Vest: Hard Shoulder Pads" on floor 11-20
"Vest: Challenging Hunting Knife" on floor 21-50
"Vest: Heroic Flag Patch" on floor 51-80
"Vest: Legendary Dog Tags" on floor 81-100"
once you got your first ridgeway, you should be able to unlock ridgeway from general lootpool
that floor split has been changed, it's now one piece every 20 floors (so first is 1-20, second 21-40, etc)
note the 'difficulty' bits of the piece names? They map to the original summit layout, where you couldn't change difficulty but it was fixed dependent on what floor you were on (with random directives thrown in at higher levels)
but the part names have been changed now, if you look for the ridgeways blueprint in your crafting table you'll see they're now called something like '0120 Body Armor, 2140 Shoulder Pads', etc

why is there no snow in the division 2 while its in the division 1?
In New York?
There was snow during the winter I believe
Around Christmas
Aside from that Washington D.C is what I would say is humid
I mean, div2 is 7 mos after div1 IIRC
looking Google sheet latest

I'm actually making a habit of soloing lol for control points. I feel excited during it. Is that wrong? Is it meant to be group content?
same, been soloiong cp4, heroic 3 directives
its easy and fun to run solo imo, specially im running a nemesis build and one shotting everything
I have a dozen of faction keys but never bothered to hunt for faction lockboxes. Is there anything worth hunting for?
What directives do you run on the summit? Here I run No Regen, hard to earn, spec ammo, rage. Up to 4 I'd okay but it becomes much more taxing to add more to get to 7
if you dont have a chatterbox exotic smg yet, that comes from a quest that you need hyena keys for,
otherwise they are best saved for inside heroic missions, as the open world one will not scale, but ones inside mission will to the difficulty,
and if you are swimming in keys, its worth it to just go openworld and hope for the 100x resource drops all key boxes can give, that can be worthwhile,
hey guys what do i need to do in order to get the regulus exotic pistol ?
Iron horse, then a small string of projects, then the raid again
Projects need raid materials, so expect it to take 3 weeks or so
Awesome thank you Ikia, I'll leave them for the heroic missions then
What would be the "easiest" mission to farm legendary for bighorn?
Summit floor 10. Kill boss, leave at least 1 other enemy alive, open map, fast travel to lobby, enter elevator again and repeat. That's how i did it. Thought i'd never get that gun but took me less than 10 attempts this way. Make sure targeted loot is set to assault rifle.
Since when does loot disappear after 20/30 min in summit? Happened to everyone in my group today. Also when other people joined.
is it still impossible to get the 7th Uknown Echo?
it gives you that echo now as a reward for mission completion of the manhunt camp white oak, so its gettable now
if I can play long enough to finish the mission before the damn game crashes :P
I'll be fine, now that I know I can get the thing, I'm not particularly worried
will you get anything other than an achievement if you beat the game on hardcore?
no, its a cap for reaching lvl 2, and a bunch of commendations and arm patches, and you get a indicator that you have done it on hardcore on the raid leaderboard if you complete the hardcore raid
Did i make the right call to not buy WONY Ultimate? I got the regular wony edition. Didn't felt like the extra cosmetics were worth it. And those extra 8 missions.
yeah, the ultimate add ons arent really worth it, youre not losing out on anything essential
Okay thanks for the heads up.
What's with all the explosions in legendary ? I'm in cover and boom a grenade wipes me
So I farmed the Liberty pistol, and got all the components, and then did countdown for the D50 base pistol, but got a liberty drop. Now it won’t let me craft the liberty even though I never crafted one. Am I out of luck and just have useless components for it that I can’t craft?
That worked - thank you!
does the extra skill tier from technician apply to the capacitors talent when you have 6 skill tiers?
behind the scenes it caps at 6 yellow cores, there is no going over 6
when it does increase it, it does apply to capacitor
sorry what
if you have 5 yellow cores on gear and add 1 with tech, it will count as 6 for capacitor,
if you have 6 on gear and add 1 with tech, its still 6 for capacitor, it caps at 6
How many exotic gear pieces are there for each slot besides guns?
Are there any builds I should build for raiding? I'm thinking about working towards being able to do dark hour
Main build you want is a full red with obliterate, focus or perfect GC / glass cannon
You could go as low as 50 CHC as someone will guaranteed be running a coyote mask
Need at least 130 chd … it’s actually kinda low but you can make do with it. Shoot for 160 chd
Otherwise you can go hunters fury all red with 1 armor core or so
the last bit is what I wanted to know
thanks
@narrow matrix thanks 😄 my current full red build doesn't have 130 chd but it has chc 60 and chd 115 is that fine for now? or should I go for more chd?
how does catharsis perk work?
it says 5% of max armor regen for 10 secs.
does it work like 5% total armor regen per second for the whole 10 secs which is = 50% total armor regen?
or just flat out in 10 secs, you only regen 5% total armor? (which is garbage)?
I’d go for more chd … drop your crit chance a bit and see how far you can get… you might struggle against enemies that are Elite
gentlemen, what skills in your opinion are the most noticeably improved by the expertise upgrades?
its 5% per second, for 10 seconds, for a 50% total
almost all of them are only little upgrades, as they are additive to what you already get with skill tiers, it will be down to what skills you actually use to see if its worth upgrading to give them a little bump up
so, arguably, the ones that are used in non-skill builds would benefit most, counter-intuitively.
like shield on a dps, for instance.
or riot foam.
yes, you will get better returns per lvl on stuff that you use at low/no skill tiers
but it also depends on what it upgrades, as for shields its mostly active regen, and thats not going to make any noticable diference i would say
but the cc ones you use on red builds seem a decent place to spend lvls,
same with dmg skills if you run skill builds with any frequency, but there its a tiny upgrade, but still an upgrade
It's the same with weapon and armour upgrades, they're additive with red/blue cores so you'll see a higher % increase on builds that don't have any of those cores
yeah, but with the weapons i've found an excellent ballpark comparison: expertise 15 equals to an extra red core.
no looking up bonus tables, whatnot. really straightforward.
with skills, however, there's some thinking to be had.
is armor pack got nerfed?
what do you mean?
i feel different when i use armor with tank build
Hey, i just redownloaded the game and i don't know if i should create another agent or try to play my old one (like 2 years old) but i don't remember how the game works
kinda depends on your current character,
if its already lvl 40, maybe start a new one and just do wony, so thats only the expansion as that will refamiliarize you plenty with the game mechanics
if its a lvl 30 at wt5 endgame then you can just take that one into wony, if below 30 then give it a spin and see howmuch you remember, if you feel totally lost, start a new char to get the tutorials again
also for allot of stuff you can look under progression -> tutorials, or ask here
It's a 30 wt5 character i'll try to play from that and buy the new expansion thanks
@oak talon You look like you know a lot about the game, do i care to build something that make sense before lvl40 ?
you're gonna burn through it pretty quickly honestly
what kirra said, builds wont matter till you reach an endgame you plan to stick around at, either 30 wt5 or 40 with shd watch, preferably 40 as thats where the majority of the playerbase and content is
No point in making a build at WT5 unless you intend to stay there… as soon as you go to NY everything becomes treesh and every 2 levels the gear you pick up in New York becomes treesh
Make sure to buy all the blueprints you have available that you think you’re going to need before going to NY… guns without stability mods aren’t fun 😭
Ok thanks
Me and my friends have ran into a bug on PS4 where we can't join each other because our groups are private. And when we do it asks us to buy PS+.
I can't matchmake at all actually. It keeps bringing me to the PS Store
is Chameleon good for PVE striker build or i should play with another weapon?
i've also that LMG that drain enemy armor & hp IDK its name is it better than chameleon?
wait i think should ask in build advice
Maintenance
What's the most efficient way to farm expertise levels?
@pliant edge create alts and use their resources to buy the expertise levels. The higher your shd over 1000 the better.
If you can keep up the stacks and bonuses
Otherwise it’s shreds ammo not enemies
@pliant edge Sell shd points to buy gold. Use gold to buy mods. Scrap mods for 6 filaments each. Use filaments to donate to increase your proficiency.
Don't waste on weapons. or gear sets as they are easy to level up. Use on specializations, skills etc. Also use on the items that do not drop in the game. You can max these even though you don't own them.
When your alt has no points left, delete it, make another, run warlords again, but the shared points bp, and repeat. Takes 2-3 hours in warlords to get 30-40, less if grouped or know shortcuts.
There's probably a bit more to this, but hope this gets you started.
Where can I get some quick Riker data?
riker bounties final boss will drop some, also missions bosses drop them too but they are after long missions for rikers
Only in NY?
Also I got a new exotic and the blueprint doesn't show to buy it do I have to wait or?
yes, rikers are only in NY, so you will have to go to them
to get bounties you can do public execution open world activities, each one you complete while saving both hostages, will give every person in the group a bounty drop.
so its better in groups if you can, as you get 4 bounties from 1 public execution
and the bounty difficulty determines how many tactical assessments you get for the bounty final boss, its 1 for normal,2 hard,3 challenging and 4 heroics
if you just got it, try fast traveling to NY and back, to reload the game world session, should fix it
Alr thanks
If I haven't played in almost 3 years, is it worth it to just pick up with one of the toons I already have (both were very geared in current content back then) or start a new agent?
Logged in briefly, looks like a LOT has changed
Level 40 character?
You have 2 options really - save time and get right into the endgame content which will be overwhelming tryna learn everything at once or you can relearn the story, relearn the skills and such, guns you like, missions you like while being slowly introduced to certain things such as recalibration in the base game, optimization later on
well id run both toons to 40 then use the 3rd as a point mule for the other 2
by using the boost
dont worry about builds till after you get your watch
Hi Quick question for "Expertise Rang"
Is there any Spreadsheet like "You Need 25 Same guns to get Expertise lvl 20" or "You Need 25 Red kills for one Level" anyone got anything like that?
No that I know, I was told here that you need to get proficient in 20 items to increase an expertise lvl until Lvl 14, then it's 15 items per level, and you can reach a max of lvl 20 1/4
Harmony is the only with perfectly in sync right ?
So 110 Times the Same weapon to get Expertise lvl 20 on them?
No, you need to reach proficiency in 20 pieces to increase expertise rank from 1 to 2.
Yeah thats easy to figure out but Not the answer im looking for 🤣
You reach proficiency killing enemies (you or your team, your kills are worth more) while having the iten equipped, or when you dobate 2 copies of the same item
Here @elder jewel
Check that out
Your my King
Just a humble servant
Maybe somebody can collapse the basics of expertise in a message and pin it
there's test subject, named AR. it also has perfect in sync.
Oh thanks 👍
is anyone else having issues with only getting 50 rounds of AR ammo
Sounds like you have a directive on
no
Pistolero maybe?
nothing is on
it happens. usually after coming from summit. you have to log out and log back in
i didnt do summit either i got back on and changed builds and went to the ammo restock and it only gave me 50 rounds for the AR and all the ammo i could carry for a rifle
but logging out then back in worked
Good to know I have not seen that bug yet.
yea first time for me after playing this game for almost 2300 hrs
this bug is why i ask people to reload at the range before joining summit 10Fs
That stops it from happening?
Is it possible for a lady death to drop from general targeted loot?
its just to make sure that they can see if they have ammo + reserves, with the range being the nearest place you can shoot and reload. because you wont get to know if you're bugged otherwise
Oh ok.
if they see they're bugged, they can log off right away and check again before joining summit sessions with pistolero on
Havent played in a hot minute. What should I be focusing on when it comes to the recalibration table?
Extract to the library or level proficiency?
library first
you'll get proficiency as you play the game and then can sweat about the last part of it later
What I thought. Thank you. 👉👈
am i able to get over charge on my shield if i run all armor and run technician for the +1 skill?
no, overcharge isnt just 7 tiers, it needs to be initiated trough a talent, and its only for skill tiers, 6 blue cores and a overcharge capable talents wont initiate overcharge
wack. lol
I don't understand how snitch works. How do I get access to his vendor loot?
You gonna need to find The Snitch first, before you unlock Cassie. Ruben Alamina have a very good source on weekly vendor rotation and general vicinity of The Snitch (the location randomly generates, so yes, you gonna need to find it manually.)
My general tip? Never bother finding Snitch unless Cassie rotation is good or it has what you need.
I bought warlords of New York a while back and before I reached lvl 30 I quit playing so I never played the dlc, logged on to go to dlc it says I’m not lvl 30 but I can get my character boosted, will I miss out on anything by doing this, I’m almost lvl 30 just not there yet
not really to reach lv30(gear score) you have to clear the stronghold twice so no. and you can pick up the story after you go to new york.
I have a great score of 307 I could of swore I was lvl 30 before I stopped playing, where do I even see my level
if you have gear score you already 30
Gear Score is what you have during the World Tiers, it then vanishes once you start the WONY DLC and is replaced by Lvl 40.
Gearscore never returns.
Oh ok thx
are burn builds viable in PvE?
nice thanks :)
Just make sure you don't wipe yourself with your own fire 😂
lol yeah
Can I get a clarification on the expertise thingie? What exactly do people need printer filaments for?
Also do some skills friendly fire ? You can't shoot a friend with your weapon, but should I be careful with chem starter or explosions?
Printer filaments can be donated to increase the proficiency of any item. Go to material donation in the expertise menu. 30 filaments get you 10% of a level, so it's 3000 to max out an item using purely filaments. Each mod deconstructed gives 6, so you can farm quite a lot
Doesn't ranking up an item proficiency level require three type of mats?
no, you can donate either one sort of mats.
it's just that base mats eat up more per step.
Increasing the level of an item (after you are proficient with it) does. Levelling up an item to become proficient, lets you donate any material
it can also be free, if you use the item for the xp instead. (for leveling up its proficiency levels)
Think I've got a goal to create the most potent/useful SMGs, one for each frame, including the military/bm variants, might just need to work out an SMG tier list, and go from there
i sort of have an impression that right now, SMGs exist to add crit to HF builds.. just by nature of effective ranges. i CAN hose a mob down from 25meters with one, sure, but i can do it better with an AR
and to HB builds 😛
ya i guess playign HB up close the whole time.. which makes sense cuz shotty stacking woudl benefit from SMG too
i just dont like the rollercoaster of HB
To become proficient with an item, any of the following:
- Equip the item and collect XP on player kills or team kills
- Donate two copies of an item in the Expertise tab of the recalibration table
- Donate any material (where?)
To increase the proficiency level of an item after youre proficient with it:
- Upgrade item in the recalibration table by spending three types of materials
Is that right ?
Is all this written somewhere ?
it confused me too.
to donate materials to become proficient you must navigate inside the experitise tab to the specific item or skill. if not proficient, you can then donate materials.. most use printer filiments.
you also get xp toward proficiency by killing
you can also donate same-type items directly, though im not sure abotu how many of each. it is not written or explained anywhere ofcially that i am aware of. i had to learn by asking here.
my personal method is i go through pockets. i mark everythign i dont want to save or decon for library as junk. i goto expertise tab and 'donate all junk' as step 1. then i do library if any, then i decon from inventory to get materials from anythign that remains.
say i want to get my rifles all proficient. ill just spam countdown with rifle TL and do above process.
then the expertise level (the max number fo upgrade you can put on a given item) is controlled by how many individual things you are proficient with. this is the piece that i struggled to conenct.
yes and no, expertise doesn't directly go with how many things you're proficient with, just total number of proficiency levels across gear
like each level of expertise requires a set number of proficiency levels, but those proficiency levels can be spread across all the gear (none of them have to be proficient per say)
so 200 individual items with 1 level of proficiency, or 20 items with 10 levels of proficiency (proficient)....expertise level sees it the same way in regards to earning a level or not
so.. lol. i didnt understand that until you explained it.
no worries, but you were still right. being proficient in an item matters a great deal cause it doesn't matte rif ur expertise level 5 and all these proficiency levels if no 1 item is proficient and u can't put those expertise levels to use by upgrading the items bonuses.
i still dont have a fully optimized build ( im close on 2 of em) so the only thing i even level expertise on is my m4. i struggle to see a point at which i would have resources im willing to spend on anything besides weapons i use tbh. armor isnt meanignful enough in the tiny doses, adn my skills are.. a shield and a reviver .. maybe a decoy.
still it is good to know how the systems work. too bad it is so unintuitive and the 3 panel 'tutorial' is so useless =).
this discord is a huge resource
Guess it was too much to ask for items that you’re proficient at HAVE a passive improvement with looting since you’re better at utilising it, but I guess it’s another resource dump which means you have to be extra careful not to waste it on less than ideal rolls, cos the cost of said resources is expensive
Guys, I am trying to complete the last Regulus project that asks me to get the 5 pieces from the raid. I already have 4 pieces, but for some reason the 1st boss didnt drop it. Are the pieces based on the Weekly Reset? Because I had already completed the first boss that week (only him, I didnt finish the raid)
yes, its has to be the first kill of that boss for that reset, you can get it next reset on tuesday
Thanks!
Hey Sanitizer,AZ,
when hunting hunters, is it 24hr in game time or IRL time for cooldown
and then do you need to do the whole "quest" again (Drip and Psycho)
Is it possible to take on four hunters solo if it is what would a good build be 🙂
if you want to overdo it, you can make a pfe build, but more importantly, set it to normal and have foam chem to cc with, and jsut run a HF or red build or any effective dmg build
Cheers for the reply I was going after all the secret hunter masks solo and wanted to see if it was possible but this sounds like it would be awesome thank you 🙂
I think I already know the answer to this but going to ask anyway, the global settings don’t change the difficulty or the quality of gear you get from countdown?
no, countdown is currently its own set difficulty, nothing of the open world settings affect it
one of the future planned additions is difficulties for countdown, but till then its just its own thing
Perhaps I'm misunderstanding but..I an't seem to level past level 2 expertise..and I'm using this for ALOT if not most of my time..
Have I inadvertantly done something wrong to stop gaining exp on expertise? o.o;
It takes 200 proficiency levels to gain an expertise level
In other words, you must become proficient in 20 unique items to gain one level, each level
the items you are using have probably already gained all 10 proficiency level they can have, and are proficient, if that is the case, move on to other builds/weapons
its 100 for lvl 1-5, 200 for lvl 6-15 and 140 for lvl 16-21, not a flat 200 for all lvls
So it's not FOCUS on ONE weapon it's focus on alll?
Pretty much
Been cycling through guns I have godrolled copies of but never quite bothered using as a result
So I should just start using all sorts of different weapons..or does each version of a weapon count too? Like ..say if I had four pestilance lmg I should focus on them four times?
The former
I got here late to the party so i'm sorry I don't understand exactly the end game elemtents yet :<
Ok. so..just go wild maxing to ten all my smg..or lmg I've been kinda..wanting to try but not an expert at..same for..gear? or is gear not a good idea?
also, put some focus on donating gear for proficiency, that is how you will gain the most early on
especially running a countdown for a weapon type and donating the 99% that is unusable
its 2 donations a proficiency level for nameds and weapons, so you gain them quickly
20 donations for a proficient
Thank you kind helpful person :3
How important is that new expertise thingy? Is it rly rly needed or can i just play casually and ignore it?
its something to be aware of, the bonusses you will get from the watch are much larger, but you can be already donating some stuff to the proficiency gods
I usually just scrap/sell the trash gear and drop the potential good ones to low shd players
Maybe i should check those donation stuff
it also helps to mark as trash any weapons and armor you arent going to keep or extract to library.... then goto expertise station and 'donate all junk'
this will donate items to gain proficiency xp on them
and you can donate crafting materials to a specific item type to raise it's proficiency as well
Oh, those donations r there, didnt check that station in ages haha
any tips on making a burn build?
Well ty both, from now on i might try donating stuff, unless i forget and just sell them lmao
so.. i need to farm true suns tactical assessments... and i need recon data... so i figured.. reset control points, and go hose down true sons. each CP has 2 named guys (heroic)... yet.. no tactical assessments seem to be found..
CP named dont drop them?
cps only give field recon, the nameds of cps dont drop tac assessments
...
cuz that would make for efficient farming. cant have that
its mostly mission and bounties as the better sources for em
ok. ty
for true sons you can farm lincoln, as it is quick, for factions that dont have a quick mission, bounties are faster
pro tip. ty
Ikia, more like wikia, dude seems super helpful, ty!
is this like.. 1 assessment per run? cuz.. i tmight be faster to farm sinkole and solar array
for mats
its 1 for normal, 2 for hard, 3 chall and 4 heroic, for only the final named of the mission/bounty (so not every named)
so... speedrun on challenging probably most efficient
and yeah, if you have the blueprint, and you are decent SHD lvl, running wony for a alt is the actual faster way, but only is you are 1300 atleast i would say
im at 579
but.. my buddy wants to run a new NY run together so.. ill do that too just cuz
ty for infos.
an extra alt never hurts, they are quite usefull, especially now if only for the extra exotic from the weekly shd project alone.
yep
Donating them?
later lvls of putting expertise levels on stuff, requires a bunch of exo components, so they become the bottleneck for most
I think i got an alt with tons of exotics in their inventory just cuz i didnt need them and didnt want to trash xd i always drop those to Rest of the group tho since i never needed them
So they made exotic components not being that useless, sounds fine
Are there other good skill damage skills besides turret and drone ?
explosive skills like mortar, explosive sticky and seekers are great on explosive builds,
fire chem and hive are the general go to for fire eclipses on heroics
oxi for its niches
@oak talon will check those out
Thoughts on fire starter vs sticky burn?
I tend to like fire starter better
It seems to spread more, I like Max radius
Any of those work well with a skill damage build ?
all of them work best on their own builds, but you can try them out on a normal turret drone build to get a feel for it,
explosives really benefit from having explosives dmg brand bonuses, eclipse is its own thing, and oxi benefits from yellow core fox and contractors
i would consider myself almost a eclipse main, and i am firmly in the chem camp, the fire sticky is just to slow at 1 charge every 18 secs, having the 8 canisters is basically essential to me, to deal with all the waves,
but you do need to get good with it, its the harder to use skill
@oak talon that's cool, I didn't know you main EP!
Is there any way to maximize the radius ? Besides EP talent that spreads it out
The burn is longer on sticky, and even longer with the airburst (but literally impossible to use this shit)
You did ask about the burn specifically so
Also, do you shoot more than one canister to the same place to create a large cloud before starting the fire?
You'd only be stacking the initial damage from the gas igniting
The fire itself would be applied once
Oh
not other than having the EP chest, nothing else really effects the spread radius
@oak talon also so you prefer status effect and skill haste or status effect and skill damage for your RP build?
Okay so the key is to cloud the spawn points so that they will spread the fire among themselves
And you can set the horde on fire
the burn duration on fire cheming, letting them burn a bit, and then hitting them with insync and refreshing with a stonger fire that starts again at its full duration makes this irrelevant ( this was aimed at the comment about the duration of fire sticky above you)
status effect on every piece, and haste on every mod and on the golan piece is my preference, i feel haste is usually the limiting factor so i wouldnt rather leave that out for skill dmg.
and there are a lot of tricks you can learn while using EP, the most important one is that you can ignite the cloud by double tapping the button the chem is on
another good one is that you can tap a red with scorpio and the poison effect of 1 shot will stagger them, letting you easily swap to chem and set them on fire
if a friend gets WoNy, can I play with them and do their story missions when I have SHD levels?
yeah
you can join on them and help them on their world, they cant join on you on your world till they reach 40 and get their watch
can u get iron work base materials from discovery
no
I got chameleon is that good weapon for pve?
should I grind to get the memento?
it's decent, lacks damage but with the bonuses it become really nice
Does eb drop open world after you get it from dh?
No, raid only
are there even vanities for skills aside from the deluxe ed stuff?
That would break the point of raid game mode
Late response from me, but it's usually a 4-piece Eclipse Protocol (including the chest and BP), 1 Golan, and the Vile mask. If you have more questions, you can ask in #td2-build-advice or check the spreadsheet for details in the pinned section.
That's fine thanks for answering :)
No. By that logic every gamemode other than raid is broken because they don’t have exclusive items
No its not rest of game modes are self explanatory
There is no difference, other than raids are harder
if you make EB available as a regular drop after doing the raid there's no point really to do raids anymore for others
Care to explain?
Whats the reason to run X mission? Because its fun. You don’t need exclusive items locked to X activity to get people interested. People will play raids because they are fun, unique activities, and a bit more of a challenge for a veteran player
They why did they apply my logic to Kenly?
because they probably realized no one wanted to do kenly, and the diamond back wasnt even worth the trouble of kenly
Exclusive item is an incentive for vets who decided to up their challenge
There is something exclusive in every mode
Missions - Lore and apparel
DZ - Named items exclusivity and pvp
Conflict - pvp
Countdown - loot (LZ named items)
Summit - loot and SHD levels

Raid- exotic
The only part of that i can put up yo the level of locking gear to certain gamemodes is dz with exclusive named items, but even those items arent actually 100% locked to dz.
So u gonna complain for both being and not being 100% locking ? 🤣 🤣
Get your stuff straight bruh
Huh? I said that dz is the only one similar to how locked off raid gear is, but it isnt the exact same
😐
Might be a silly question, but does the reward track for Xander League refresh at the end of this week? If I want the full reward track, do I have to get 10/10 in everything, or can I wait until next week to do some challenges again to max it out?
(and if I do have to max it out this week... is there a better way to farm Hyena Elites than going into high difficulty missions?)
Is there is method to get memento in fast way i tried countdown and no luck
Wiki says "loot targeted exotic drops". Honestly, I think Countdown is your best bet; you can target farm backpack drops at the same time you get Countdown tokens to buy exotic caches with.
how about summit?
Summit's still a targeted farm, so yeah, that might work. Only potential loss there is you might not get exotic caches as fast but I haven't run enough Summit to know the pacing of those with challenges and other things.
before i jump into firewall, am i able to use regular guns with the shield?
Thanks
I don't think so- otherwise it'd be a direct upgrade to the Crusader shield
what are the specific numbers for the two shield mods from the firewal spec?
yes, its basically a better crusader shield, the same weapon types can be used with it as with that
you have two weeks to reach that 60 target, with each week having 60 points max available and reseting the available challenges at the end of the first week, so you can reach 60 by getting 30 points each week
and for hyena elites, the fastest is cp4's, preferably in a group, but if you do countdown allot you will also get it, but its less directed
Summit is also good, because each Directive added on slightly increases your chance for a Targeted Loot drop to occur, something you can't do in Countdown.
so both are good.
oh, didn't know that! good to know.
Playing with other players increases chance?
with countdown's 4/4 divide and UI blocking, as well as the time constrain, the chance to share dropped stuff is low, while for summit you "could" tell the other 3 that perhaps , to all switch the targeted loot to X and if one gets it you can ask him to drop it, hence more player could means higher chance
So summit is better?
what's a good team comp for summit floor 10 farming? Me and my buddies are trying to work towards learning how to farm it
If a 4-person squad target loots the same thing in Summit, that's 4x as much chance when it comes to sharing loot that you need from others. Nice farming tool, imo, if you can find the folks to help
"can“ yes, though tbh most people are trying to get the big horn in floor 10 legendary with targeted AR
not the expert but, team of 4, 3 of them will be built for skill damage and armed with the chatterbox and oxidizer , 1 will be built with Ellipse and firestarter/fire sticky/airburst and scorpio
hmmm ima delegate with my buddies thanks! 😄
they arent very smart then, because TL doesnt affect the bighorn droprate
Wait what? I didn’t know you could select exotics as targeted loot in countdown.
You can't, but you can target the slot that the exotic goes in
I assume that's what the wiki means.
Yeah that’s what I thought
Got 100 hours into the game now and only had 2 exotics drop
that's why you gun for exotic caches
memento was my first ever exotic drop x) dont even need it
Not a fan of them. The few times I’ve done them got the same exotics I already had with worse stats. I’m shocked more exotics don’t drop into the wild
Would be cool if specific exotics had mission chains more like Destiny
The only one I’ve seen is the Legendary capital building and it’s an exotic catch
But I agree. On the whole, I'd prefer my cool notable weapons to be a result of an achievement or process I've mastered rather than a random drop I farmed for
(regardless of game)
Yeah
Plus the cost to optimize any weapon let alone an exotic is insane
That’s the most painful part of the game for me
Do 40 hours of grinding to make a stat go up a few % and it’s not even max
Instead of doing that I’ve been farming in countdown but none of that loot is ever at max for me
Get ur SHD lvl to 2-3k and you shall never worry about optimization
Yeah I’m only at like 240 now
is there some hilariously fast way of grinding out SHD levels that I'm not familiar with or have people just been playing this game for so long that SHD level 5000+ is normal
I mean been playing only 3-4 weeks off and on and already got like 130 hours
Up grindset
Yes floor 10 specific layout summit every min u get 1 SHD lvl
Yeah I saw a new farming video for the 10th floor. Let’s you go up 1 SHD level every 90-120 seconds
Farming specific for levels sounds annoying and boring, i just play whatever i like and im 900ish
Yes thats why try to use during global event or apparel event
The new 10th floor farming method got this dude 500 levels in 2 days
I just want to max out my specs because I'm tired of having to use specs I don't like simply because a part of my brain is telling me I have to because it's Wasting Points
You Could Have More Points. You Gotta.
Try this. Gets you more xp than just doing the normal 10th floor stuff https://youtu.be/3iAJo7DrS-M
Well i kinda wanted to get 1k before but after 30min of lvl farming i got bored
it wasn't the chameleon???
Same. Did the exploit for like an hour and I was like so burnt out
So i decided i will play what i enjoy most and level will come by itself, slower but enjoyable
Exactly, got almost maxed one from hard difficulty control point lmao
Good 👍
Helped me a lot that early lmao
it's more important that you enjoy the game than that you have Big Number
True
Same, lmao!
I got a decent roll capacitor from normal summit no directives
from a red hyena grenade archetype whatever they're called
loot is weird
I've grinded 5 classes to levelcap in FF14 so I'm pretty sure I can do this for at least two hours
U get capa from doing summit missions
I haven’t really scratched the service on the end game activities. Farmed for specific gear/weapons. Finally got them with the the attributes I want and now have been farming countdown for the same gear pieces but at max attributes. Instead of grinding 50 hours to optimize and only have it go up 1%
then it becomes a target loot drop like ridgeways
Is it? Wut
you probably just don't get it since rng
yeah calibration is only worth it if you have something you don't want to craft
that was the first one in ages that I got
Oh ye, i rmbr getting tons of them after my 1st one
I swear Hunters Fury sets don’t come with armor as a core attribute. I’ve gotten like 200 pieces now and it’s always weapon damage
i.e. you have a gun you want a different talent on, but you also wanna max the damage on
that is correct
Its been almost an year since i played so i dont rmbr that well haha
manufacturers and sets always have the same core bonus, it doesn't vary
I think the only set with variable main cores is system corruption
Every brand/set comes with specific core
how does one get System Corruption gear? I've gotten two from random drops but I have no idea where to get more.
Yeah and the issue is if I recalibrate a piece to armor then I won’t be able to change a minor attribute. Hate that they cap you to only being able to change 1
U need to find hunterd fury with good second atribute so u can swap the main for armour
Thats how i got yellow true patriot with skill damage 😂
ever since dz loot broke I think the only way is through conflict caches?
I have a piece that has the minors I want and normally I would just swap the weapon damage to armor. But because the minor attributes aren’t at max and how much it costs to optimize and not even bring it to max I have been trying to farm countdown to get a better roll
Finding them with the right secondary is hard, but for the green sets its easier since u got only 1 secondary
Get a stat as close as possible to max
I think it makes sense. It gives flexibility, but it means you do still end up caring about the loot you get. If you could craft everything (or even two things, since green sets only have one secondary) then you'd just get your crafted thing and know that nothing that ever dropped after would ever be better
Those 0.5% wont change your life, will just look shiny
Could be wrong but I swear one of my pieces of hunters fury has 3 slots
honestly i think system corruption should be easier to get, fix dz loot or add another way to get it
and given how minor some of the stat variations are, I don't concern myself with it. 5% more crit damage isn't gonna make a huge difference.
And u can always buff those stats when i got extra mats for that
chest mask and backpack, because it has the mod slot
Maybe mod slot if its mask
Nah I think I’m thinking of my chest piece that is sokolovs
probably
Possible
mods are also worth remembering, if you really need 10% skill haste or 5% crit chance or whatever, you can mod some stuff and make up for it that way, which is much easier than grinding out for calibration
I have all the gear and minor attributes I want. Just the optimizing them is just insane.
I think calibration is intended to be an endgame resource sink for people who have nothing else to spend them on
just to give you something to do with the mountains of stuff you'll end up amassing by doing activities once your libraries are full and you've already got all the setups you want
I just want them to make optimization/expertese leveling cost less
Or at a minimum if you get all the required materials that the optimization takes it to max level instead of 1%. Like I have crit damage maxed in my recal library at 21%. The gun with all the minors I wanted only has it at like 10% out of 21%. They want like 1000 smg receiver components and 20 hyena assements just to take it from 10% to 11.5%. I’m not grinding all that another 10 times to just max out that stat. It’s a joke
Then don't do it.
You're right. At your current level, it's not worth it. So don't do it.
I’m not. Hence why I said I’m trying to get the same gear via countdown with higher stats but haven’t had much luck
have you already crafted the gear that you have? or is your library just not that filled out yet?
I don’t have the blueprints to craft them. But have eveything equipped fully proficient. Haven’t upgraded them yet but I’m a level 10 expertise
if you focus farm a specific slot in Countdown you should be able to fill out your library for that slot pretty quickly, and crafting set gear usually isn't that bad because all you have to do is find one with a secondary attribute you like, which... I guess could potentially take a while, but unless you want to change both the primary and the secondary, that's not a problem
oh wait I meant calibrated
swapped the stats on it or whatever.
The numbers I get from crafting anything are always less than the drops
okay wait a minute, I think I may be missing something. What's your calibration library like? Do you have good stats recorded in there?
I’ve been stuck at 95% of max armor on gloves in my recal library for a while now. No matter what I select for targeted loot can’t get a piece that drops with max armor to finish maxing the core
if you're at 95% of max armor, I wouldn't worry about pushing yourself to max it
Lol I’m ocd I want it at max
then focus farm gloves ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I don't know if I've just had good RNG or what but I've gotten pretty much all my core attributes maxed for just about everything
That’s what I have been doing and all the drops with armor have been half what I already have. Need a maxed level to finish it off but just want drop lol
and you've been doing countdown? weird. countdown is where I got most of my maxed stuff iirc.
Yeah been doing like 10 countdowns a day
Even tried playing it on heroic to see if that changed the quality of loot
75% of the time it’s max weapon damage which I already have and usually skill core or a super low armor core that does nothing for me lol
that's..... really weird
Because countdown is around heroic and the loot quality being ~75% is typical of heroic loots
If you want more though play legendary
What would you recommend for targeted higher loot? Summit ?
How nasty nemesis and ace fight set?
I used set with ekimm long stick it pretty big damage
Idk how to get nemesis
Chameleon was my second one
Do you double tap as soon as you throw the canister or do you wait?
oh, I don't like shotguns so I have never used the Scorpio even though 99% of the community likes it
ohhhh so that's what I was missing! if you select an item you're not proficient with, you can donate materials to become proficient.
if you want to ignite as fast as possible, you have to time it to when it hits the grounds and becomes a cloud, there is a timing to it that you will get once you do it a bunch,
but at any time it is a cloud, you can double tap to ignite, so you can lay it at the spawn door and wait for the spawn and then double tap
the scorpio is too great of a tool to not use as a eclipse, you have three statuses that you can deploy quickly either to be spread, or just to defend yourself, and on heavier stuff, you will be ccing them, and at 7 shots you will be giving your team the biggest group buff of the game.
is there a sherpa raid channel here
Not exactly Sherpa, but if you put together a half-way decent red crit build and make use of YouTube to check out some basic raid guides (so you have some idea of what you'll be doing) then you can join one of the #lfg-raid-pc groups, let them know you're new, and they'll probably be happy to walk you through it
@nimble spruce ty
What? You don't? Its like an LMB shotgun only better.
How long do raids typically take, anyways?
With a good team? Pretty short, the current speed record for IH is something around 17 minutes. Most teams will take longer than that though.
With a bad/uncoordinated team? Over an hour, easy.
Ah, got it. Shorter than Destiny raids, then.
They're closer to a slightly slow Scourge of the Past than a Levi.
I've run one SotP and no Leviathans so that doesn't give me much
Leviathan, when it first launched, was a slog. Had to do every bit of what was later broken down in to sections for simplicity. My group tried a Day One for Leviathan, and it took us nearly 3 1/2 hours. >.<
the most recent raid I've run in Destiny was the new one, Vow of the Disciple, and it took me like four hours
The Raids for Div2 are substantially shorter than that, thankfully. Despite me having never ran them. looks at Eagle Bearer and sniffles
a typical lfg team will be roughly 30 minutes for DH, but up to an hour, IH is generally an hour+ even with a solid LFG team. Do not expect to get IH done in 20 minutes even if things are going smoothly
my usual expectation from difficult raids as of FF14 and Destiny is multiple hours
20 minutes for a raid is unthinkable to me
What do I do after I’ve reached lvl 40 and finished the campaigns
Multiple hours if your bad maybe
Correct!
Usually, farm gear for a build you want, do Countdown, do Summit, work on picking up exotics...
post-campaign is the sort of "set your own goals" period
Ok
max out your specs if you haven't already
How do I do that
Equip a spec and level up with it/do challenges that give you spec points
Tf is a spec
prioritize getting all the blue prints for mods, filling up your recal library with max rolls and talents.
At the same time, assemble a build that can help you farm higher difficulties for better gear and rolls
Oh like gunner
yes
Yh I’ve done the mods one already lol
then fill out the recal library, farming build, etc
Dang sounds OP
Might give it a try one day
how do I get everlasting gaze? Can I target loot it in summit/or countdown?
DZ locked, so DZ/Conflict/NamedItemCache.
I’ve been lv 30 for awhile don’t actually think I’ve completed the game as I still have some main missions but I just got warlords of New York what to do now? Just go about finishing the game or something else?
If you're at World Tier 5, then yeah, you can hop into Warlords of New York, or finish any story quests you haven't done yet (Pentagon, zoo, Coney Island, etc). If you're not World Tier 5, then you'll need to work on getting there before you can get to New York.
Once you go to New York, you won't be able to leave until you finish the main story there (about 2-3 hours of gameplay if you hard focus the story and do nothing else) so make sure if there's anything you immediately want to do in DC that it's done before you go. After you finish with New York, you'll get tossed into the season pass system, start getting SHD and seasonal levels, and all that fun stuff.
There's no world tier grind post-40- level 40 items are the cap and all that's left to worry about there is the main/sub stats on the items, which is nice
Thank you @raw harbor
gentlemen, is there a sink for excessive optimization resources, aside from optimization itself?
2-3k shd level is great place to start
Um so I had redownloaded D2 a couple days ago and all my characters are locked, I don't know what to do I uninstalled didn't work, I tried buying it again it wouldn't let me, and I tried making a new character and I couldn't even get to New York, I'm Xbox series X btw, and I don't know what to do
I have don numerous Destiny raids under an hour with a good team.
from where i can get eagle bearer?
From the raid Dark Hours, normal difficulty (not discovery).
It sounds like it thinks you don't have the wony dlc any more, does it let you buy that?
