Jo. Got back into TD2 again yesterday and decided to make a new char for now because of it. But i'm getting level-40 drops even though i'm level 2? That a bug, or just cause of some event? Cause the last time i checked it isn't supposed to be like that? (Am level-2, drops mostly come from red-bars)

It's a bug, the new brand and gearsets this season weren't added to the loot pools correctly. Can sell, deconstruct or save any max rolls for your recalibration library

yesterday's Heroic bounty went like this - 3 targets all together, couldn't find suitable cover to engage one at a time, aggroed them, they sent exploding drones at me, can't dive out of the way in time, took damage, used armor kits, ran away, they come after me one at a time, killed one, used armor kit, repeat x2, felt like so much 🧀

it seems to go: I shoot them with half a mag and take away 1/3 of their armor. They just eat bullets to the face and return fire hit me once and take away 50% of mine.

learn to LOVE tall cover (cover that you can stand behind, not crouch behind). drone ops, grenadiers, minitanks all rely on seeing your actual
hitbox to use their respective skills (drones or grenades)

I wouldn't worry about lefty proc with grenade unless you are a support role/build. If you only use your shotgun to stack then just stack.

Strikers is cool and all but once you get over a certain damage you can just not stack, your damage and amount of bullets to kill the enemies in front of you just can't keep up with stack loss.

usually you're looking for the named item with the Perfect version of the talent, so that's taken care of. Set target loot on the brand, and just make sure 2/3 of the attributes you want are good. If you need to reroll the core then you're stuck on that for recal so both the secondaries need to be what you want.

so i watches a build guide for a striker that i want to play, and they use grupo sombra chest wit obliterate, with crit chance and dmg and weapon and the talent, so thats hard to get right? i got the named version of the grupo sombra but wrong talent and wrong stats

you need the exotic item first, then you can buy reconfigure plans from Inaba at the white house

named version of grupo chest isn't useful for DPS builds, so just get a normal grupo chest rolled with CHC and CHD (it's not rare) and recal the talent to obliterate if it's not already that.

yes you can recalibrate or optimize it

so if you get like a grupo withj 5% weapon damage and max rolls on CHC and CHD and the right talent, then go ahead and recalibrate that weapon damage to the max (15%)

remember you can only recalibrate one thing out of those 4

the others you can optimize but unless it's already near 90% it's usually faster to farm another piece. Grupo especially tends to drop with a lot of red secondary attributes so a decent roll with CHC and CHD is quite common comparatively

If you're asking about TL (targeted loot), then yeah each DZ has it's own rotation, which changes every day.

Div2 doesn't really work as "more gun" or "more armour" spawns, it's all more specific.
If you're trying to farm out the Rav/EB/Bighorn from there, none of those are affected by TL drop rates.

If you just want generally good loot, Countdown is the way you want to go. The DZ was better in div1.

2. remember to listen to the Raid Leader, you don't need a mic, but one will help a lot.

if you're solo killer is hard to beat

Well people were instadropping people with snipers without zooming in the early tests that i remember

Things not being used the way devs want is the reason for most changes

Same reason people were using large scope sights on full auto guns was also a thing

the forced zoom on anything over 4x magnification was due to people using the 12xs in Div 1 for the headshot bonus on everything

which was kind of amusing, instead in Div 2 most DPS builds that are actually good load up on crit chance and magazine/belt size to maximise crits per burst

I’m an AR/Sniper guy and have been since D1 so it’s important to me but i totally agree. Build specificity is key.

in div2, AR's are generally built focused around crit, whilst snipers (called MMR's in div2), are all about that HSD (headshot damage).
If you want a similar experience, but stronger, try swapping out that MMR with a "rifle", which yes, is a different category, and are mostly focused around crit too.

I've had success with both, but generally countdown is the preferred method. JTC is a waste of time imo compared to the other options. The other positive with countdown is you can use the tags on exotic caches for a chance at one

previous season manhunts are just a single mission that can be done at any time. Current season manhunt involves a whole series of weekly scouts, eventually culminating in a final mission (we have a few more weeks before that though). If you do the scouts you'll get season pass xp amongst other rewards, and the final mission will give a new exotic item. If you leave it until next season or later, you will only have the final mission available and likely not get the guaranteed exotic (it'll just be part of the general loot pool)

For new players I'd suggest countdown, on challenging it'll net you an exotic every two runs and if doing heroic it can pretty much every run if you can finish every run but most groups fall apart. Along side that you can farm out gear for builds/expertise and get mats needed for optimization.

CoD 4 was also suprisingly barebones when I went back to it recently. Glasses were definitely somewhat rose tinted. The biggest memory shock going back to Div1 however is how much the gun jumps around. I was not prepared for that anymore

Movement in div 2 is better than div1. The dz and factions made the game. So much was a bolt on.

Div 1 had better game modes overall, 2 might be better under the hood but they focused on the wrong content imo

I think the weather is what added to the atmosphere of the game

Div 1 had that dreary, post apocalyptic dispair vibe where things genuinely FELT hostile and had no hope until your character makes a difference

Div 2 doesnt have this, it touches on it very briefly but doesnt do nearly as good as a job as div 1 did

Also I would say the story just feels better on div1, the end cutscene still gives me goosebumps. For division 2 the story has been dragged on too long end of the day it's just "there is a new enemy to kill" also will never forget that backpedaling they did 🤣
