Friday was already a great day, i didn't expect Envy to be so good, they didn't just came out hot against SSG, they also beat the new Complexity roster fair and square. I missed the TSM-Optic series unfortunately but after 8 hours i needed sleep lol
The Halo Pro League announcement is really cool, i'm very excited and thankful for everything that LVT is doing for comp Halo and the community. I think there are already too many breaks within the HCS season, or like with all the open online qualifiers after Arlington where the top 4 teams didn't even need to play to secure their spot, i think that should never be the case and it's one of the few things where the CDL is better, so almost every week you have interesting games to watch and that matter for the next lan event. I just wish it wasn't NA only and only 8 teams but this could be the start for something different and new for comp Halo going forward

They won in the elimination bracket, moved on to go against FaZe in the final, Optic won so it reset the bracket but if FaZe won it would've been over. Optic winning made them play won more best of 7 and Optic won

It's a double elimination tournament.
Every team needs to lose 2 series in the Champ Bracket to get knocked out.
So anyone that gets sent to the elimination bracket because they lost a series, still has a shot at making it back to the grand finals.
In the grand finals, the team that won the Winner's bracket finals has an advantage.
If the 'Winner' team wins in Grand Finals, then the Elimination team has now lost twice - and the winner bracket team wins it all.
But, if the 'winner' team loses the grand finals series - it's what is known as a "Reset"
This means now that both the team from the Winner Bracket and Elimination bracket have each lost 1 series.
In a Grand Finals Reset, it's winner takes all.

The best part of the Halo books to me was that humans WERE on the backfoot to a much technologically superior enemy. They were outnumbered and outgunned. And the Spartan Program was a fairly vile response to it, yes, but completely reasonable given the circumstances.

Lucid and stellur have similar playstyles
And so do SB and Eco.
Either all 4 switch or 2 switch.
Bound and Lqgend got to play the exact same playstyle but with people who compliment their playstyles already.
Just because players have the same playstyles, does not mean they will do good together.
I don't see them making a change unless they get t6 next lan.
But ssg got the short stick.
If they do want a roster swap... I don't see a lot of potential changes.
TSM for sure won't change. FAZE is highly unlikely.

i must admit i'm very surprised by all this, especially Faze breaking up after finishing 2nd wasn't on my bingo card. Regarding SSG they didn't look good in pool play and against Faze in winners round 1 but that game against Optic gave me hope, that could've been a starting point perhaps but the issues within the team were just too big to overcome. Snakebite even said in aPG's chat that he doesn't understands the salty comments coming from his teammates because he felt they were not even a team...something like that...
i think this definitely defeats the narrative that pros are all friends 😂

Regarding Faze disqualification, I think Pro Points shouldn't count towards majors but only for Champs. That way, the best teams would have to compete for a spot and these open weekly tournaments and qualifiers would be much more interesting to watch. Forfeiting should also be punished in some way.

Looking forward to 2026, while the studio is fully focused on the future of Halo, you can expect there to still be more online and on LAN competition for Halo Infinite. We will be supporting events with prizing and player travel, and even Halo 5 and MCC as we’ve done consistently via side events.

@wraith wigeon HCS coatings are linked to a partnership between the studios and the org. A % of revenue goes to HCS/Team (not clear if its a common pot or directly to the org of the coating). So if the org are no more in HCS they can't get revenue

This. If a place is constantly not getting events, it’s likely a good reason. I would imagine Chicago would be expensive. Same with CA near me. Vegas seems an obvious choice for events and yet rarely see them there. These orgs are picking locations for good reasons.
