I think it's visible when Vivendi started to take control over asphalt development instead of the original gameloft dev team : some time in 2017 - 2018, when car prices in asphalt 8 rose pretty high ... in the millions of credits ... tokens were becoming hard to get and a LOT of cars that were credit priced were now token priced ... before, asphalt was the go to for mobile gaming ... oh the times... Now, progression in A8 changed so much, it's nothing like the asphalt 8 of before

I was really hoping for an offline career or some offline racing theme from ALU. In Nintendo they added an offline feature. It would be so cool to have one. There is an A9 demo and that is offline. In Chinese versions there are so many different garages to choose from that would be sick if it were implemented.

Misu has given me the response but left us with even more questions. For example in his message he put “ I’m not authorised to either confirm or deny that we may or may not be working on this”.He is basically saying they may or may not be working on it. In my mind if you were really working on it maybe the devs would do a hotflix for iOS but they haven’t and it has been more than 10 days! I know that he has forwarded the team and I also acknowledge that the devs are under pressure so I get that but since there isn’t new information to share that just makes me think they may not add it. I also after the aftermath of the response put hoping instead of add in the sentences but then changed like a few days later since there was no information. I just think the Asphalt team won’t take it seriously.

Also please understand why we are so desperate for graphics options. iPhone which are a bit older overheat like an oven 🔥 and multiplayer after one race = lags and crashing. 🥳 We play multiplayer with our friends and enjoy it, but there are some issues:

🎮 On PlayStation, the host cannot increase or decrease the lap count, while this works fine on Windows.
🚗 In multiplayer races, there should be an option to disable TouchDrive for all players to enhance the enjoyment of the competition.
🛣️ It would be helpful if the game displayed whether the distance between me and the player ahead or behind is decreasing or increasing during multiplayer races.

Had the same question. Wanted to find the himalya wall-downhill-start track. Sadly there is no way to do this. The way the career is made is clearly for a "single burn" play style. Looking at the tracks one by one is annoying. Of course the return of "Quick Solo Race" would solve this.

Well first of that is just not the only reason there are many. Gameloft’s trust in me is low so that is why I said it. They also stated that it “doesn’t mean it will happen” so that just gets my hopes of it happening at an all time low. In my opinion if they were to add it they would maybe add a hotflix but they haven’t. Don’t get me wrong they could add it next update or not at all! I understand how much pressure Gameloft is at and I am pretty impressed at some stuff they have done to the Switch. But sometimes they don’t deliver. No need to talk about it as they have explained that the dev teams is aware.

@candid sonnet Hi Muttley. Without knowing which Tier we are in, we cannot strategize how much stars up we need to get in the Position to get Key. It is really unfair to NOT knowing the Tier. When we miss the Position we need since Round 1, there are no chances to get Key now.
For example, if I think I’m in Tier 3 with 3 Keys. So, I’m safe at Pos 3, but if it turned out that I’m in Tier 4 with 2 Keys. On August 27th, by the time that we know which Tier we were in, it will be too late to catch up.
Because it is an unfair GP, Gameloft better gives Key to everyone who participate in this GP.

In certain races, the slipstream trail effect doesn't appear at the start of the race. It only shows up a few seconds after the race begins. Occurs in SE, MP or Daily Events. In some cases, the trail is shown at the start of the race.

Not true. Knowing the Tier would stop me from stars-up. I’m at 2-stars now in believe that I could get Key in Tier 3 at Pos.3. I’m low skill with limited tokens. If I know that I’m in Tier 4 and I can’t make Pos.2, I would not spend token to reach 2-stars and not get Key. That’s is unnecessarily wasted tokens for me to not get key.

Issues for this season
LP being double the price. 2 weeks is worth $7.50 not $15. Remember we used to pay $15 for 8 weeks. It’s now 4 times the price.

No support car keys in seasonals. Missing SC18 and Daytona keys but we’re expected to max star the car to never unlock it

No tributo packs or bps anywhere.

LP missing 1 extra gas.

BOS daily events missing leaderboards so we’re getting no epics for these cars apart from the seasonals. Which have conditions not everyone can get.

In conclusion this is not a good season and honestly offensive how little thought goes into the community and the players

Performance issues on iPhone XR still affecting gameplay.
What I noticed so far:

Lag and game freezes during races happen mostly after watching ads.
There is almost no lag when I open the game and do races without watching ads before.

Almost no lag and game freezes early in the morning, massive lag and game freezes in the afternoon and evening, so I guess it’s related to how many players are online at that time.

Conclusion: lag and game freezes are caused by servers. Only by servers! This started with unite update so I guess ios players got merged from iOS server to all-platform server. Obviously this causes many problems which need to be fixed asap

This is the best i can get with controller now (even at 100% sensitivity) in SF90 ranked stage … 1:00.851 from over 10 races. It makes no sense to try to improve my time anymore and i possibly fall out of 1% at the end cause tilt player don‘t have this problem. I hope there will be a proper compensation.
