Can someone help me understand what might be wrong? I’m Trying to unlock the Lucifer aspect of the rail. I unlocked the spear aspect already, and have definitely invested more than five titan blood into the rail aspects besides Zagros. I’m using the Zeus keepsake, trying to get his dialogue and dying on purpose on 59 heat to speed up the process, but nothing so far.
Do I need to just keep talking to him until he gives me the phrase? Or is there something else I need to do regarding weapons. He has stopped talking about the rail altogether.

Well you’d want a good build with that, either something very tanky or smth with a lot of damage, after that it’s dash strikes back and forth, standing bound in one place can be quite harmful if you aren’t quite used to it (as the attack combo rather bounds you in one place)

General advice: weapons that hit fast with low amounts of base damage like gods with flat damage boosts. Zeus, Dionysus and stuff. Slower weapons with bigger base damage like the bow prefer percent based gods like Athena and Aphrodite.

There can only be three fake bobs, so the fourth bob is always real if the first three were fake. Fake bobs have an interval of 2-5 seconds while the real bob has an interval of 1-2 seconds. So if it takes more than 2 seconds, it should be a fake bob. Meaning you should look for the real bob within a short time after you start fishing or within a short time after a previous bob.
Personally, I just look for the white flash above the bobber and ignore the bobber itself. Some players have said they have better success when putting their thumb on the bobber to not get distracted by that, so maybe you could give that a try.
A Perfect Catch means catching a fish within 340ms. Perfect Catches are 50/50 on being a legendary or rare fish. Any other catch is 50/50 on being a rare or common fish.

final boss drops another + after that you unlock the best way to farm blood
other sources: trading for it at lounge (1 ambrosia for 1 T.blood is always there and sometimes 15 keys for 1 blood which is super good)

Late mirror offers dark foresight (you are already using it) that boosts chances to see boons and what not and fated persuasion (reroll boons, poms, charon wells and pool of purging)
And keepsakes is specifically the ones from the gods due to how the game handles it
Basically, grab a boon from a god they are added to a "pool" once that pool is filled (4 gods) the rest of the gods won't appear

Shield is gonna be easier but fists is 100% possible. Athena makes things much safer but getting a strong Zeus aid will just melt hp. At this point you mostly just need to keep making attempts till you get the good build and get the skills built up for it

For a slightly more in-depth answer: Fist attacks have low base power and high speed, so you want an attack boon that has constant damage instead of percent-based damage boosts. Zeus or Dionysus on attack both work, and Ares can technically work as well, but Ares is only really good for a very specific build it would be too hard for you to try for if you're still early in the game.

a) Definitely try shield. If you hold the attack button, it blocks in front of you and also charges a bull-rush. It's nearly like having another dash, you can charge it and launch into enemies.
b) You want to avoid using the special, because it throws away your shield.
c) Pulverizing Blow is your best hammer at this stage, iirc
d) I would recommend putting Zeus on attack and Poseidon on dash but I recommend that all the time, I am the Sea Storm shill, so take this advice with a grain of salt 😛

No to Chaos Shield! And arguably maybe not Chiron: Zagbow is much stronger for a third the blood price. Zeus shield and hidden shield are the two nicer shields
Zagfists can build into a fun dodgetank, but if you're looking for offensive prowess, Demeter's the best

hera is perfectly fine at lvl1
chiron is god awful at lvl1 and doesn’t get much better with increase
hidden is still good at lvl1 but increases damage a lot with leveling

During the phase change Theseus doesn't hold the shield
So you can keep bashing him while dashing through him back and forth to dodge whatever god he called

Oh, like lightning reflexes?
Yeah that's not the Zeus boons you want, but the game usually tries to offer you core boons when you don't have any
(Core boons are Attack/Special/Dash/Cast)

Defensive keepsakes like tooth/acorn are best used for ely and beyond
If you don't want to be stuck just using god keepsakes you can do funny things like starting coin purse or shackle
Still give some benefit and can pivot from what you get into a build

Bit of a language issue here - 'boons' are the stuff you get from the Olympians, like Heartbreak Strike from Aphro. The stuff from the mirror like Death Defiance are called 'talents'. Just helps communication easier
I am guessing you don't have a lot of talents unlocked, and also don't have a lot of control over the boons your get right now because you don't have all the god keepsakes?

yeah if you want to die a bunch for more darkness and keys that's totally fine
If you have nectars, give them to Olympians - you can dump nectar into a boon before accepting it
get all the god keepsakes, it'll make a big difference and you'll be able to build a lot more deliberately
