I didn't have divine dash. I got the reflect on the spear attack and buffed up the spin aoe. So what I did against everything else was I just stood there charging up the spin, then as soon as an attack or enemy got near I let it go. I was really effective against everything before the boss.

ME is starting vial and taking ares attack and then taking the pendant owl thing into aspho and looking for divine flourish and merciful end and getting divine dash and hopefully impending doom

or you could do drunk fists

which is taking dionysus cup thing and taking dio atk and pomming it to hell

You can also try something like Smouldering Air (Aphrodite + Zeus), but that's a little more delayed. You want Zeus Attack and Call, and Aphrodite Special.

I suggest this because you probably havent tried Calls much, and you may like them.

Them and casts get more useful

Smouldering Air makes your calls very rapidly charge up to a maximum of 25%

Yo I finally managed to beat Theseus and Asterius! All it took was an incredibly bone-headed cursed blade +crits build (had about 70% chance to crit with each crit dealing even more damage and charging my call bar faster) that involved just being ridiculousy aggressive and button-mashing at the enemy until they die. Thanks for the help (I still failed to dash through the pillar effectively, but charging at the bull worked)

||trippy flare isn't that great of a build because of how inconsistent due to chaos. if you wanted a more stable build, you can do the typical flood flare -> mirage shot, or if you dont want a duo you can do passion flare -> snow burst/frost strike/mistral dash (with psattus)||

Finally won for the first time! Took 48 runs. I had the zeus-aspect shield with reflect and so the main strategy was I just stood behind the spinning thing blocking while enemies kept attacking into it and either doing 0 damage because of block or hitting the spinning thing and having it reflect back.

What do you guys do when offered boons for moves that seem kinda weak? For ex. This run most of the stuff I've been offered is for the spear's throw attack, which seems like it would have less DPS potential than mashing attack/charged spin

there's a boon offering system that makes it so you will see a special boon offered if you dont have one yet, broadly speaking

(1) If all priority slots (i.e., Attack, Special, Cast, and Dash) are empty, fill all three slots with priority boons,
(2) if an exchange is possible, 10% chance to add an exchange to one free slot,
(3) if 2 fails and there are free priority slots, add one priority boon to one slot,
(4) 50% chance to add a tier 2 status curse (i.e., Jolted, Marked, Rupture, or Exposed) to one slot if boon requirements are met,
(5) roll for legendary/duo for each remaining slot,
(6) roll for epic for each remaining slot,
(7) roll for rare for each remaining slot,
(8) fill all remaining slots with common,
(9) fill all remaining slots with whatever is available.

when theseus is in his second phase, he gains all the abilities of the god he summons, kinda like how you do when you pick up a god boon

his god summon was zeus, and his spear throw calls down a lightning bolt when it lands

the aoe of it is quite large so it hit you through the pillar

you can see your meter under the health bar when you have a call, you get it for dealing and taking damage but it's room specific

so when you move to next room you start from zero again

dealing damage and hitting enemies are kinda correlated, but if you chunk them for 300 damage vs 10 instances of 30 damage, you'll get more call charge in the latter method

there's a few boons that rarity matters a lot like ares atk/special and aphrodite atk/special and a single pom level won't cover the gap

but most of the time, 1 pom level is roughly 1 rarity level

Just makes it rapidly fill but cap at 25%

Nyaanyaa's Fishing Guide
There can only be three fake bobs, so the fourth bob is always real if the first three were fake. Fake bobs have an interval of 2-5 seconds while the real bob has an interval of 1-2 seconds. So if it takes more than 2 seconds, it should be a fake bob. Meaning you should look for the real bob within a short time after you start fishing or within a short time after a previous bob.

Personally, I just look for the white flash above the bobber and ignore the bobber itself. Some players have said they have better success when putting their thumb on the bobber to not get distracted by that, so maybe you could give that a try.

A Perfect Catch means catching a fish within 340ms. Perfect Catches are 50/50 on being a legendary or rare fish. Any other catch is 50/50 on being a rare or common fish.
