I guess it's due to the fact that Chaos Defiance is different from other Chaos boons, as it shows in the UI next to other Defiances once the curse is over, rather than showing in the side Boon tray.

Hi, loving the game so far, although I keep getting the same bug every few runs. Every once in a while, when clicking on the boon offerings, my screens will turn black and disconnect from GPU. I have to restart the computer every single time. It usually happen when opening Chaos boon and sometimes with other gods. I've verified the game files integrity, disabled one drive to ensure saves are ok, but the issue is still happening.

I’m using steam, and Mac. My specs are above minimum specifications. I haven’t been able to try all of the tech fixes yet but I remember toggling off of full screen and back on in game causes it to just use a small window of the screen and the rest is black

I’m pretty sure I was using festive fog, might have been the legendary that makes hangover inflicted foes in festive fog take more dmg. The issue with guan yu happens no matter if I have any hammer upgrades or not. I’ll definitely try out the tech fixes when I have time, and Tysm for continuing to help me!

yes that was exactly it, i tried it with one of the files without success then got in my own head and started second guessing myself about it. so i wanted to come here and here what someone else has to say

i should be more clear on what happened. i last played in May, but when i went to log on this weekend, i had two saves, one from 2020 and one from 2021. looking at the save files, i see there is one from may 2023, so it exists. i'm just not sure how to get the game to use that file instead of the others

Ok. When following the steps listed in #h1-tech-fixes you need to make sure that there is no other save under the same name. So it's worth sorting by name to make sure there is no Profile1.sav and Profile1 (2).sav type of situation.

It might also be worth trying to restore the file you've chosen with the game open. So after following the steps and renaming the file to Profile1.sav (if Profile 1 is the one that lost progress), select and open that save slot (the date won't change visually on the Profile Selection, but it should be a desired date once the save is loaded). This is to potentially prevent cloud save from overwriting.

Btw, it's worth doing a backup of your whole local save folder just in case, so you don't loose anything by accident when renaming the files.

Hi all, I've also suddenly lost my save data (with 265 hours played!). This is in Steam on Windows 11. So far I've tried:

• Renaming various profile1.sav.bak files under Documents\Saved Games\Hades, the oldest being from 5 days ago (I've played it every day this week).
• Doing the same steps with the game running, which didn't seem to do anything.
• Checked Steam cloud backups, showing as "0 bytes stored".
• Turned Steam cloud backups off and tried the renaming methods again.

I created backups of the Hades folder before trying any of these steps, so I've got an untouched copy still.

I do have numerous instances of OneDrive running (mostly syncing SharePoint libraries for different organisations), but I don't have my user profile folders (ie. Documents) synced to OneDrive at all. I don't have Google Drive or any other similar app either.

It kinda seems like Hades isn't looking in the right location for my save data for some reason. I was playing it just last night and it was fine then, nothing has really changed that I'm aware of. I don't have any anti-virus and have Windows Firewall disabled (come at me!).

Is there anything else I can try? Would be really disappointing to lose almost 300 hours of data!

Hi, I would try launching Steam as Admin or launching the game directly from the exe as Admin. Then if it doesn't help, fully reinstalling the game.

Another thing that might be worth trying if the above won't fix it, is allowing Documents\Saved Games\Hades in Windows Controlled Folder Access. Then also potentially looking into Windows Security to make sure there's nothing else that can potentially block Hades.exe from saving.

Renaming Profile1.sav.bak files to an empty save slot (so for example Profile4.sav) might also be worth a shot.

Running as admin didn't work. Uninstalled, downloading again now, should be done in a min or so.

Ugh, unfortunately re-install didn't work, nor did renaming "profile1.sav.bak" to "profile2.sav", still none of the save slots have any data.

Yep fair enough! When renaming, the only thing I've touched is the file extension and the profile number, the "Profile" part of the name I haven't touched.

I am trying to acomplish 32 Heat run on Steam Deck with Jury Summons (3) and Extreme Mesures (4). During my fight with Hades, he summons two Doomstone and both of them summons their minions (Fragments thier name?) and that lead to huge lagging.
Sometimes it is lagging earlier in Elysium, if there is lots of enemies, but not so consistently.
Do you have any advice or something I could do to avoid it?

Do you have Hades digital or physical? And if it's digital, is it on system memory or an SD card?

If it's on an SD card, you could try moving it to system memory. I can't guarantee that would fix anything, but it has a chance.

Beyond that, your best bet might be decreasing Jury Summons and bumping something else to fill the space.

It's possible Tiank may have some other ideas when they get on ^.^

I want to duplicate my save data from profile 1 to profile 2 because I want to mess around with it, but want to also be able to keep the integrity of my playthrough, which brings me to wanting to copy my save from profile 1 to profile 2. The thing is that I have played this game for about 35 hours on the game pass and I would like to continue playing it on Steam Deck. I want to buy the game now that is in sale. But I want to continue where I was.

But I don't have access to save file since I don't have the game and is no longer in game pass, I have read that the only way to get the save game is to buy the game.

The workaround I have thought of is to have someone with the game purchased on Xbox share the game with me so I can start it and it will sync and download my save game to bring it to me on steam.

Anyone could do me this favor? I Just want to run the game to get the savefile. I don't want to play throw Microsoft Store.

First of all, make a backup of saves folder so nothing is lost.

Then look for most recent Profile1_Temp.sav or Profile1_Temp.sav.bak, as I believe this file should be the one in the middle of your run.

Actually, it's not 😉 You need to go to C:\Users[your user name]\Documents\Saved Games\Hades

Save files are stored separately to game files for Hades

(Unless something weird occurs and they can actually appear in that folder, which happened before)

Just hit the weirdest bug on Switch. I noticed it when I got to the Elysium boss. Somehow everything but Zagreus sped up, even the in-game timer. I have Forced Overtime 2 active already and it was noticeably faster than that. When I got to the final fight, the camera ||flew over to where it normally ends as Zagreus is walking to the middle of the clearing, and had to wait for Zag to wander over at his normal pace to start the Hades dialogue||. I noticed that the timer had sped up when it showed me my clear time. Clear time was almost 32min. Over the past several months my slowest that I can remember is maybe 27min, and this run felt about average length. Last bit that I noticed was that the post-clear narrator message was cut off since he was talking at normal pace and the sped-up allotted time ran out

It could be bad RNG if it appears on other weapons. Also, from what I've noticed, if you're using "Give Up" option rather than finishing a run or dying during a run, then the Thirst will stay on the same weapon it was before starting that run.

Does this game have motion blur or something on the background environments? Something feels off when the character is running. On one monitor (VA panel) the screen gets darker when I move, on my other monitor (an LG oled tv) I get this feeling like the game has constant mild stutter going on even at 600fps, or just something that makes the background less focused, almost like every single frame is slightly too early or too late. This doesn't happen to animated characters. Turning on vsync doesn't fix it, just causes actual dramatic stutter and dropped frames. I recently bought a steam deck oled and the game has no problem on it, smooth as butter.

I've recently started to have an issue with the autosave on my main profile. I play using the Steam version of the game. It started to only activate in the first chamber of a new run, but now that is not occurring either and the save file seems "stuck" in one chamber. Regardless of if I quit out or use the Give Up option, it continues to revert back to this state. Additionally, the autosave for my other profiles is working as intended. If this has any impact, my main save has over 2000 runs while the others are less than 50. Not sure if this is a save file corruption or not.

I have done all of the recommended tech fixes to no avail and have also tried validating file integrity, reinstalling multiple times, and disabling Steam cloud saves. I have also played the game on my Steam Deck to see if that would make any difference and it does not. I'm unfortunately at a loss now and would appreciate any help!

• You mentioned you reinstalled the GPU drivers, but I'd still check if they are actually the latest drivers, so compare the driver number you have installed with the latest driver number available on your graphic card's manufacturer website. From my experience, Windows often overlooks the latest driver, so it's best downloading and installing them manually
• Try fully reinstalling the game, and then restarting your PC
• Disconnect any secondary monitors
• Check if your antivirus is not blocking Hades.exe, and potentially add the file to whitelist
• And just to make sure: your PC meets the minimum requirements?

Few things you can try:

• verify game files integrity
• reinstall the game
• make sure you scrolled down the list to look for that Work Order
• talk to everyone in the House, then do a run (and either complete the run or die naturally, but don't use Give Up function); might need to repeat this process a few times

Regarding the last point: the chances are that some line or event is somehow blocking Administrative Privilege from appearing, so it's worth doing runs and talking to everyone whenever you have a chance.

So I am having the "cut-off" audio issue right now but now the weird thing is that I've had this issue before and fixed it by verifying the files from steam. For some reason though, some audios are still getting cut-off (before the core sounds like dashing were bugged) the ones I've noticed are: Beowulf normal attack sound, the sound that comes off when you go between options in codex, the water sound in the room between realms (for some reason this gets fixed once you drink from the water pool) and tidal dash touching the walls if that what it is. I've tried the methods in the fixes channels and the issue still persists. They are not that big of a deal but still annoying so I am happy to get all the help I can get. Thank you in advance.

Yep, no problem, I've tried many launch options including "/UseNativeGaInput=true /UseNativeGaInputNoControllers=false /UseMouse=true /DebugMessages=true /UseSwapEffectDiscard=true" , I've disabled controller support since I'm not using one, I've ensured steam overlay isn't running, I've slightly updated my OS incase the specific version was a problem, made sure the save data location exists, gone through the steam logs to see if there was any indication of a problem (there isn't, it just mentions that it opened and closed), verified the game files, reinstalled the game a couple of times, and lastly tried a test branch of the game I found a key for from a thread about a year ago. I would attach the Hades.log file but it doesn't seem to be generating one, it must be crashing before it gets to that point.

I did notice in the manifest of that game that it was build for macosx 12.1 which I have upgraded past. That may create an issue but can also be fine. In the recommended specs it only mentions version 10.14+

How do you restore a previous save file? Basically what happened was last night I went through a route that took care of some stuff, such as stuff in the Fated List of Minor Prophecies, going through a route with a weapon I hadn't before so I unlock the stuff via each boss for that weapon, etc. I got all the way to Cerberus, gave him his food, and tried to log out, but it didn't let me. You need to follow steps listed here #h1-tech-fixes message and rename one of the temp.sav or temp.sav.bak files (for example: Profile1_Temp.sav or Profile1_Temp.sav.bak if you're playing on Profile1). Most likely the latest one should place you after you returned from the tunnels with the Sack, or you can try some previous temp.sav files if they exist.

Worth doing backup of the whole saves folder so you don't accidentally loose your progress.

hi! ive been playing the game for a while and have done a few successful escape attempts (enough to finish the main quest and more) mainly with the shield
but for some reason, most of my shield runs disappeared from the records last time i finished a run with it? my best heat on it was 7 and my best time was around 30 minutes, not 1 heat and 47 minutes
as proven by the second screenshot the other runs do exist? like they are saved but they're just not showing up on the one that compares all the weapons (or when it gives you the stats after having escaped)

I got a legendary boon from Poseidon once, got all fishes possible in a single run, Hades beaten and still nothing

Just to make sure: did you catch those particular fish that are missing and they didn't show in the codex? The fishes are ||Seamare (Pandemonik), Stonewhal (Skałwal) and Sturgeon (Jesiotr)||. They are all Legendary, so you'd need a Perfect Catch to get them.

In PL Perfect Catch will show as "DOSKONALE!" when you catch a fish quickly.

Not sure what could be happening here that they're not showing... I'd maybe try giving the fish to the Head Chef when you catch them again, and also talking to Achilles, and other NPCs; maybe there's a fish-related line from one of them that's somehow blocking the entry from appearing... Or try doing a couple more runs to see if they show at one point.

Most likely your OS sees that 27'' screen as primary, and by default most games will launch on that one, including Hades. You can use launch option /DisplayIndex=1 to set it to launch on secondary screen. As a side note, /DisplayIndex=0 will launch it on primary. You can also try to change which screen is primary in your system's display settings.

As long as you have Steam Cloud saving toggled on for Hades (which you can check by right-clicking on the game on Steam, then going to Properties), you should be fine.

Hello guys, what should I do with this problem? I haven't played Hades several year. So recently I installed this game and it's not opening up at all, just endlessly launching at steam. I reinstalled the game (also steam) and I think I tried every step from "hades-tech-fixes" but it didn't work in this case. So what I see in "Hades.log": I don't have files like "activeProfile" and "Profile1.sjson", which leads to error of opening. I should mention that I tried to rename save files, change location of save files and etc., nothing changed.

Hey all, my game keeps freezing on mac. I'm using /DrawBlendMax=8 /DrawLights=false as the launch options and it still keeps freezing. Sometimes it works flawlessly, and then there are times it freezes up on me. When it freezes on a run, I lose that run and end up back in the house of hades. There are days were it doesn't freeze at all, and I can play for about 3-5 hours without any problems. I'm about 40 hours in and I want to be able to keep playing and 100% the game without any problems. Any help?

I have a 2020 Mac with a processor of 2.3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 and Graphics of Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB. Playing on steam. Currently running on macOS Sonoma. I upgraded it to Sonoma and it works even better than before, but still has its problems. I use to be able to pause the game, switch screens, then go back to the game and it fix itself, but not anymore.

When it freezes, I can still hear the game music, and I can even hit the menu and exit the game. But after freezing, it crashes after 10-20 seconds

There are some more launch options you can try:

You can also try lowering the value of /DrawBlendMax, potentially all the way down to 2 or 1.

And make sure you're using the lowest available resolution, then potentially trying higher ones if it runs well.

Hi, this might be an issue related to steam but I wanted to try my chance anyway. When I try to take screenshot via steam it doesn't work, however when I try the key that the game itself set for screenshoting it works just fine. I think the problem here is that the key for both Steam and Hades collide with each other. I tried to leave the option for screenshoting in game blank and then try to screenshot via Steam but it didn't work. Also was this option always existed? I can't recall it if it was. One last thing also, the audio issue I had was fixed once I maxed the all audio settings and control the audio from my pcs volume mixer and the audios are working just fine now. Thank you.

I've tried to troubleshot this via the tips on both Steam discussion forums & #h1-tech-fixes but to no avail & I'm hoping you can help.

Details:

• I originally moved over my Hades cross-save file from my Nintendo Switch & continued playing on my gaming PC (runs Steam on Linux)
• No issues for a year, plays fine + I'm unlocking achievements etc...
• Randomly, the save file has disappeared with no changes to the PC (hardware or software)
• I can't locate the save file on my PC nor on my Steam cloud saves
• I am able to re-download the old cross-save file from Nintendo but it lacks the year worth of progress 😦

For some reason, each time I clear chamber with the Pierced Butterfly or Lambent Plume, the indicator shows a base 1-3% or every-time. If I understood correctly, you're saying that for example with Pierced Butterfly from Thanatos at max rank (so rank 3), which gives +2% dmg boost for each chamber cleared without being hit, you're seeing "Clear! +2%" info text near the keepsake, correct? If yes, then it's not a bug, and it is as it should be, and total amount you accumulated can be checked in Boon Info section. Same goes for Lambent Plume from Hermes.

2. Played Hades for 5 hours
3. Opened CS:GO

Then you might need to wait a bit more for the kit to drop, or play Hades for a bit more, as I heard that the drop is not always immediate.

Hello everyone. I've been dealing with this for a while now and thought I ought to ask here is there any way to solve the save file problem I'm currently facing. So after many hours in the game, my old runs stopped showing up in the courtyard menu after beating the game. I thought it was just a bag and continued playing, but over time, my times have not been syncing with one another, like in this example.
I also cannot clear the slots in the main menu, they just keep reappearing.
Has anyone else faced the similar problem?

If you've used God Mode, then different stats will show, depending on whether you have it on or off. Maybe that's the case here?

To permanently remove a save profile in the Main Menu: if you delete the files from Documents/Saved Games/Hades while the game is open on Steam, it'll recognize you don't want them anymore and remove them from the cloud. So for example if you'd like to delete Profile 3, you need to delete all Profile3.sav files and similar (like Profile3_Temp.sav, Profile3.sav.bak etc). I'd advise doing a back up of your save folder first just in case something goes wrong so you don't loose any progress.

I was trying out some content mods (on my main save file like an absolute idiot) and now that save's screwed I think

I'm trying to go back as far as I can with the files but the .json one for example

is still from after the modding happened

I had a backup of the game made with that steam thingy BEFORE I started modding the game last night

but I reloaded the game from that backup and the issue is still there

Hello, I have an issue my xbox one controller. It looks like it happens only in Hades.
Every buttons work fine, except when I press the Cast button, instead it does dash+cast (like in a maccro :O) and also when I press Start, it automatically close the menu ...
I've check the bindings, they are all good.
I've tried on another few games and my xbox one controller has no issue.
I've tried with a PS5 controller (which is not mine) and it works perfectly.
I've tried the launch option thing in #h1-tech-fixes but it doesn't work.
I verified the integrity of the game. It was ok but still got the issue.

edit : uninstalling the game, unpluging the controller, restarting epic game store etc don't work either

I am having a very critical issue in hades

Issue: midway through all my escape attemps, I am faced with a high saturated blank green screen, distorted audio and then a reboot to my windows 11.
the issue is not being reproduced in other games gta v, cyberpunk, roblox. this is the only game that is having this issue. I have painfully confirmed it 8-9times trying to escape and the issue occurs causing my hades save to be reverted.

As a starting point, I would suggest reinstalling—while unlikely to be the issue, it's a good first step.

After that, I'd try the steps listed here: #h1-tech-fixes message (1-6 are the most likely to apply to your situation)

You may also want to make sure that "Compatibility Mode" is disabled in the Windows settings. It's known to sometimes cause performance issues.

Hopefully something in there helps. While you're testing, I'd suggest turning your audio and brightness down, so the screen and noise ideally aren't as painful if they do come up.

Just to make sure, did you buy 9 Well items in the same run? As that's what is needed for this achievement. You probably also need to finish that run naturally, so either die, or clear the run, but don't use Give Up function.

Hey Supergiant Team, I firstly would like to thank you for the port (IOS) I NEEDED. The IOS version is just awesome it's really well optimized and well made. However, it's been like 4-5 years since I saw an which has borders and it bothers me (and many other people I assume, including like all my friends). These devices have great screen sizes that you can take advantage of and I feel like you should take advantage of it. I mean full screen size has been the standard for quite some time now and the borders deceive the human eye as if the game was tiny as hell. There is no such launch option (parameter) afaik. If you haven't already, you could try turning VSync on and adjusting your monitor's refresh rate. It could be also worth looking into your graphic card settings to set a desired FPS value.

Are you using external wireless keyboard by any chance? As it might be worth looking into something that could interrupt the connection (especially if it's bluetooth), for example, disconnecting any controllers you're not using, (or unused bluetooth devices). Or just plugging it in to check if it's related to connection.

Also, are you using mods? If yes, then it might be worth checking if those things with keyboard and mouse also happens when you play without any mods.

In my case I’d been playing on my alt account that had Hades, but wanted to buy hades on my main account so I had the Hades music kit on my main CS account

It’s pretty easy to copy them once you know where they are

they’re in your steamID folder (Steam creates different directories for each Steam account’s save file, labeled by numerical SteamID)

The files are separated by numerical appID folders. Hades’ app ID is 1145360

you need to copy ALL files in the 1145360 folder in the steamID folder of the account you want to transfer from to the same directory in the steamID you want to transfer to

Basically, just drag and drop 1145360 folder from one steamID folder to another, and select “replace all”

I switched my computer from windows 10 to Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS yesterday with Steam and Proton.
Hades launches fine via keyboard but I have a black screen if I try to add my xbox controller.
The controller works fine for other games (like hollow knight).
I tried DirectX (black screen), Vulkan ("no GPU found") and 32 bit ("no GPU found").
I disabled Steam input.

yes, this is an old computer; yet it still works fine without the controller (using only keyboard and mouse).

Might be worth trying these launch options:

Instructions how to add them are here #h1-tech-fixes message , point 4, and in that section you could also try some things to fix the black screen, such as points 2, 3, 5, 7, 9.

And the only USB devices plugged are keyboard and mouse right now (and no bluetooth currently).

Hey, just to check, did you use Quit option, rather than Give Up? As Give Up would reset your current attempt and put you in the Courtyard. I'm consistently experiencing missing frames/occasional complete freezes for a full second or so on the Steam Deck OLED. I've tried everything applicable in #h1-tech-fixes including toggling Vsync, switching from DirectX to Vulkan and adding /UseSwapEffectDiscard=true, in addition to some outisde proposed fixes in enabling the fixed GPU clock, but nothing seems to be helping all too much. Switching to Vulkan kind of seems to have reduced the incidence of the issue, but I'm not entirely sure as it happens seemingly randomly. It also seems to take a screenshot as it's happening, but it's not a Steam screenshot - the text informing me of the screenshot taken is seemingly from the game itself and I can't find the actual image files anywhere.

All in all, I am wildly confused and not really sure how to find the actual problem at play here.

The fact that a screenshot is taken while it happens makes me think it could be some sort of control binding issue? I would look at in-game controls to see if a button you often use during a run is also tied to taking a screenshot, then changing it to something else (or removing binding for screenshot completely).

If that's not the case, then maybe it could be worth trying those launch options, one by one, or all at once:

Darn, you were right on the money. I had pressing left stick set to screenshot, which I was doing unconsciously during especially stressful fights, and those were causing the freezes. That's why the issue seemed to only happen when it would best screw me over. My god, lmao.

One thing you can try to prevent this from happening in the future is to install the game on the internal memory rather than SD card. Usually helps with freezes and overall performance issues.

Ok guys question I recently got hades on my computer and activated the cloud save feature from my switch to my computer

But when it loaded all my data it only carried over like half of it so for example it says my highest heat is 30 not 45

It only carried everything over from about mid July 2021

Hey, not sure what happened here, but if your original progress is still on Switch, then I'd suggest disconnecting your PC account and reconnecting it again. Before you do anything, it's worth doing a backup of those PC save files for Hades, so that they're not lost just in case something goes wrong.

Once I try to change the key bindings for my Xbox elite 2 controller it doesn't recognise the paddles, I think. Four paddles are basically the same as AYXB buttons

I think the paddles are not fully supported in Hades. You could try using Xbox Accessories app or reWASD to try to rebind them to something else.

Hey there how do we report a bug with Hades Netflix on iOS? I fixed it by doing something funky, but I played exclusively using an Xbox controller. None of my Olympian Gods were showing up in the Codex until I switched to touch screen and back to a controller. When I opened the Codex after doing the switch, they finally showed up. I had been playing since day one without seeing any of the Gods on my list except for these 4. When I would press up, it wouldn’t do anything.

On iPhone Hades there is a game freezing bug now. If you check your codex or boons when you are at a god boon selection screen, there is a chance that the game will not allow you to double tap to select a boon and therefore you have to lose the whole run. This has only been happening since a recent update.

Hey I just finished a run and I suddenly got a warning that "Hades does not have enough memory" and it crashed the game

When I opened it back up I was in the courtyard, no auto saves from my run to be found even though I'd just defeated Hades

As for the memory issue, the case might be that you ran out of VRAM/RAM, so it could be worth closing all unnecessary programs when you play Hades. There are also some things that could help listed here: #h1-tech-fixes message

As Lyuonz wrote, and as brainzdon reported here before, it looks like it's related to opening a codex when choosing a boon. It's worth sending a message to [e-mail] describing what happened to you (with screenshot), and what device (model) you used so that it can be investigated.

Hi! Unfortunately I've lost my saves. I actually still have them in the Saved Games/Hades folder, but they don't show up in the game.
Could it be because yesterday I changed the selection from DirectX to Vulkan at startup?

Is there any way to get my saves back and what could have caused them to disappear? So that it will not happen again.

Changing launch options shouldn't affect the saves afaik.

Does nothing at all shows in the game, all save profiles are empty? If that's the case, then it could be worth trying things listed here: #h1-tech-fixes message

You could also try launching Steam as admin. And you could try remaining one of the Profile1.sav.bak files into Profile1.sav (following steps as written in #h1-tech-fixes ) while your game is open on Save Profiles screen. Then launching Profile 1 after the renaming. As a precaution, it's worth doing a backup of your save folder first just in case something goes wrong.

No, it didn't help. Is there any chance it's because of Steam Family Library Sharing? Since I haven't bought the game yet.
I'm just wondering what caused the loss of saves so I don't lose hours of game again in the future.
I also read that it could be due to antivirus, so I disabled it on the game folder.

Maybe it is Steam Family Sharing that somehow caused it, not sure. What's weird here, it's that it looks like your saves are not actually lost, since you can locate them on your PC, but the fact that the game doesn't read them. Might be worth looking into Steam's Family Sharing troubleshooting, if it mentions anything like that.

As a side note regarding antivirus: in addition to whitelisting the game's folder, it's worth doing so with game's executable file, so Hades.exe.

Hi! Today I attempted cross-save to transfer my Switch save file (115 hours) to Steam (only played about 10 early access runs). After connecting my Steam account on the Switch and syncing save data, my files have now swapped (115 hour file on Steam, 10 run file on Switch). My concern currently is that my Switch copy says it is successfully syncing to the cloud, but Steam says it hasn't downloaded cloud data changes despite having the new file. Is there any risk my save gets overwritten if the Steam cloud syncs on my PC again? Is taking a backup of the .sav all I'd need in the event of a tragedy?
