Could I ask you for a capsule summary of why Zag rail reaches A tier at max? That's the only ranking I don't really understand, since I always found base Zag rail underwhelming.
My 1st guess was "because base rail's high attack speed is still that good with Zeus/Dio attack", but I rarely go more than 12 shots without reloading while specialing/dashing, so not sure why more ammo is good

So yeah, if you haven't done favors that include work orders, you'll need to do those as well.

If you can get to Hades every time but not defeat him, your damage build may be good enough, but you may not be used to his attack moveset. What helped me early on was a tip from reddit -- when you get to Hades, don't attack at all except maybe the skulls, just focus on watching and dodging his attack patterns for as long as you can

- death defiance has three that don't refill, stubborn has one that does refill, this is useful if bosses are hard but rooms are easy, because you have more health for bosses. death defiance is better at your level

- duos are useful but in most cases aren't required for builds, once you get the codex you'll be able to see prereqs for duo boons, then you should start going for duos

Yeah, start with the Conch Shell to get Tidal Dash asap.

Don't take any Attack boon in Tartarus unless it's from Lord Zeus or Lady Artemis. If you beat the first boss and don't have an Attack boon yet, take the Thunder Signet into Asphodel and get Lightning Strike from him.

i want to try a zag sword run with flurry jab and the other hammer that makes it fire a projectile.. combine with some hermes attack speed..
i bet that could be pretty fun

but even zeus cast
aphro cast gets insane damage like that too but i lta too close range for me i usualy get hit too much.. but they can do like 1000 damage each

If you scroll up a bit in victory boasting you can see an achilles build I had lots of fun with, definitely requires tons of luck though

but im trying to find run ideas that i can do that will just help me get better overall
for example
attempting fresh file clears, and no hit runs seems to have helped me get a lot better overall
trying a heavens vengance only run helped me get more used to enemy patterns

What you are saying is pretty good but you may get bored or you won't find it fun, so try to put targets that are in the normal progression of the game, like every weapon at 8 heat, then every weapon at 16, maybe every aspect, progression on the lore side alongside what u said with strange and hard pacts

ya ive done ever aspect at at least 25 except guan yu at 20.. my highest is 33
i should maybe just keep doing more runs but i find i get too unfocused and just try to winm. especially in later chambers i just go nuts with whatever damage i can do

if it's this then my personal advice as a non-expert is to switch to a zag aspect and practice winning cleanly with just the "basics" before going for those high-powered damage fests that can take some time to figure out how to approach effectively
zag is simple for the most part and requires no extra gameplan. just play the weapon normally. once that's mastered dedicate a few sessions to one aspect and see how get accustomed to it
