Good job man keep it up, what really helped me was learning when he is about to do that big swing that chunks health away. Hermes boons also comes in clutch to give the extra dodge chance and dashes

I love Lucifer' Aspect. It works with everything basically, and it's wicked fun with Poseidon's Attack. Merciful End is also incredible, lots of DPS.

Boons like Hunter Instinct can make the difference between getting one more Greater Call vs Hades or not, or getting a Lesser Call just in time to i-frame an attack or not getting it. So it can get you an extra 2.5k vs Hades sometimes with Aphrodite's Aid, for example. But doing more damage and more hits also builds god gauge faster, and like MiKE said, Support Fire exists.
It'd be nice in a build that already has Hangover, Splitting Headache, and Support Fire, for example, to supercharge your god gauge. But that's a niche.

One thing I really like about this game is how quick runs are compared to other rougelikes like you can easily finish a run in under 30 minutes while in a game like risk of rain 2 most runs will take about an hour

Boonless as it's understood for the challenge category on the high heat leaderboard, for example, the rule is that you cannot benefit from any boon in your run. Meaning you're allowed to pick up any boons in your run, but you can't benefit from them in your run in any way (purging is allowed). So if you get a Cast boon, you can't use Cast, etc.
For the 100% Olympian-Free run clear message and the unique dialogue, the only rule is that you can't have any purgeable boons by the end of the run. What you use and have before that doesn't matter.

The game will keep making all gods spawn until you pick 4 of them, then those 4 are the only ones that will be offered (tho certain situations like using keepsakes, which will add another god to it/or weird cases on shops can cause higher pools)

Well, you're still pretty new. Thunder Dash is definitely not as straightforward to get good value out of as, say, Divine Dash or Tidal Dash.

Just found an interesting mechanic with the shield, If you dash, go neutral on the control stick, then do a quick directional-tap + attack when your first dash ends, you'll slide a good ways with some momentum.
So basically Dash to Neutral -> Uncharged Smash Attack from Smash Bros in any direction -> Zag Slide
So i can stand in front of skelly, do one Dash toward him, get backstab damage from the front and return where i came from with 2 actions.

jesus dude... i was trying to do a curse of drowning run just so i can check it off my prophecy list. poseidon does not give me the cast until asphodel (but gives huge catch in tartarus) and the duo just does not show up after that. i also try to get mirage shot in the process but it does not show up either, but freaking FULLY LOADED does. AND i have a final ares door in styx which offers to REPLACE FLOOD SHOT which i just take at that point, and Artemis at the shop offers me hunting blades???

If you are interested, Bastion and Transistor (SGG's second game) usually go on sale together for like $5 I think.
Having played both Bastion and Hades, I can tell that a lot of Hades' DNAs are inherited from its 2011 predecessor. The combat, weapon, customization, modular difficulty, etc. are there in Bastion. However, Hades is the more refined and modern version of it. Having played Hades, it is hard for me to return to Bastion.
The narration in Bastion is unrivaled though. Hades' story is impressive already on its own right but nothing beats the Old Man in Bastion. I love the narration and music so much, even more so than Hades.
