I assume for only first boon since if it wasnt it would force your first 2 boons to be a selection of the 4 since you only get 3 slots to choose from... Tho it could mean that it's specifically for that God
No wait it can't be since i wanted aphro's special and didn't get it till like ||Styx||
I see.
I think I’ve gotten a few un-prioritized boons despite not having encountered that god in a run before, so that makes sense.
I need some fire boons in this game hephaestus pls
yeah that is strange
the lack of
any fire oriented boons
there should be hades boons in some form rbh
i know there's the || hades call from his keepsake|| but
it would be nice to have some of his boons
I feel like Hephaestus would have been well suited for the Daedalus Hammers.
Apollo would be more suited for a fire status effect.
At least in my mind.
daedalus
||tbh yeah i'd love it if we get some boons from him. Maybe just 5 or so boons that improve his call or add twists to it. Spin it off as him adding more help to test his underworld security||
Hephaestus is literally the god of fire though. Apollo is more related to sun
Hephaestus is more closely related to smithing and metalworking, as far as I know. Fire is part of that, though. You’re right that Apollo is less about fire and more about the Sun.
Really, Hestia is probably the best pick for a fire status effect, being the goddess of the hearth and all.
Hephaestus is also volcanoes, which fits the fire theme.
What would a fire effect be even?
Yea... Merciful End fists is kinda silly
I'd say Daedalus is fitting for the hammers. He is more like a tinkering inventor of crazy stuff so his job of adding twists to existing weaponssuits him just right.
they are big weird, I don't love it
You need Divine Dash
I prefer just a zeusy-aphro/dio special, kinda thing
Hephaeatus, being a god and a blacksmith, is more of forging legendary weapons and that has no place in the game i think.
Well, if you gave burn to Hestia, who is the goddess of the hearth and home, burn could be a DOT that restores a portion of the damage dealt to you.
Oh I have it. I mean silly as in "why on Earth is this okay?" 😆
Hestia can't be added if Dionysus is the twelfth Olympian.
Literally every weapon in the game are legendary weapons :D
Exactly. He is not the person to add twists to existing weapons. He doesn't provide the hammers. His job is to forge new weapons.
Interesting take but that makes sense
am I missing something really obvious with ME?
hold attack > dashstrike > hold attack> dashstrike
(with athena dash ofc)
You might be comparing it to old videos where the doom effect didnt have to be reapplied
Merciful end is very strong
A very modern invention (past 60 years or so) is that Hestia gave up her throne on Olympus and offered it to Dionysus in order to keep the peace of the Olympian home and offer the partially mortal Dionysus eternal life as a full god, so they could do something with that.
Alternatively, Hermes, despite being an Olympian god, is already very much treated as an outlier among the Olympians gameplay-wise.
Now you have to reapply it but it still is very good
Oh true. He could replace Hermes' seat on the throne. Although that'd be very unfaithful to Greek myth and SG has been faithful so far.
The game also doesn’t seem terribly concerned with representing all twelve Olympian gods equally, given that Apollo and Hephaestus are absent altogether while Hera only appears as an aspect.
I also don’t see why a non-Olympian god couldn’t offer a boon, given that Chaos already does so. Hestia could simply be a non-Olympian.
I agree that SG has been particularly faithful thus far.
Maybe Hephaestus Curse Effect could be Brittle. Something like taking extra damage once you've hit an enemy a certain amount of times then they "break" for a burst of AoE fire damage.
I'm sure someone can dig up what Greg said regarding these
Actually sometimes hestia and Dionysus will be on the council and hades will be the one excluded in some myths
Hades is not a standard member of the twelve Olympians, as far as I know.
Hades was never an Olympian
He’s usually considered a separate thing.
Hades is an Olympian in some ancient Greek religious traditions, but it’s not mainstream.
Some authors even put Iris on Olympus.
Iris? The rainbow god?
Why? How significant was she in certain cultures?
Yeah, the greek myth book we were made to read in high school had Dionysus and Hestia as the twelfth god. Depending on the source of the myth as in cultural relevance in that area or city
Almost all ancient sources agree that there were twelve Olympians, but they can vary a lot in which ones they include. Hades, Iris, Hestia, and Dionysus are all sometimes Olympians and sometimes not.
Iris, as far as I know, was not particularly significant and did not have any cult following. She was just an object of minor worship. As for why she was sometimes on Olympus, I do not know.
6 children of cronos, hermes, the twins, ares, hephaestus, and Aphrodite are the normal 12 Dionysus is not counted tho some will switch hestia with him or switch hades with him
Twins?
Yeah them
They’re twins.
Leto's kids
Damn i did not know that. I knew they both used bow and arrows and they represent sun and moon. Didn't know they were twins though.
I think some ancient sources even put Hera’s little sister or Ganymede on Olympus.
Not sure if they “throned” them, though.
Yep, born of Zeus and leto after leto was cursed by hera to never give birth on the earth so she gave birth on a sky island that traded it's magic of being in the sky to allow her to bare the twins
Apollo wasn't actually god of the sun until helios gave up the role to him
I think
Maybe apollo just has an affinity for the sun? Not exactly the god representing it? Not sure.
Depends of which Apollo funny enough. I forget the Greek terms but one form of apollo was called helios Apollo and he was like the last Apollo form. Forget what he was called before that
A modern invention is that Apollo is the god of the Sun while Helios is the personification of it.
My understanding is that Apollo was not originally associated with the Sun but gradually came to be conflated with Helios.
Yeah that
I don’t think Helios was worshipped very much until Apollo was identified with him.
It wasn't the ancient Greeks that saw him as sun God but like people a few hundred years after
Huh apollo apparently is the god of healing and medicine as well
Isn't appolo the one who rides the sun chariot across the sky while helios is the sun or something like that?
Apollo is the god of a lot of different things.
He's the god of plague as well
He is also associated with prophecies iirc
His son asclepius is the god of healing
I can’t really speak for Greek culture, but Apollo was the quintessential Roman god.
But Hermes is God of more
If you want an embodiment of Roman ideals, it’s Apollo.
He was the god of archery and the lyre as well
Music, healing, sun, the arrow but not the bow that's his sister, and I think turtles
I believe Helios is the one who drive the chariot. Apollo may have picked that up later on, though.
Apollo’s association with turtles mainly has to do with the importance of turtle shells in divination, if memory serves.
Apollo was the god of a lot of stuff
Yeah and I think it made him god of them but I might be wrong
I think the relationship between Apollo and Helios is not dissimilar to the relationship between Artemis and Selene.
The double negative hahha
Just wait till y'all hear about hermes and how much he was the God of. Travlleing, trade, merchants, distance, borders, running, money, gold, the dead but not death like thanatos nor the dead in the same way hades is, but instead the God of transporting the dead and more that I can't think of at 1am
Wasn't he like the trickster god or something
Oh yeah trickster too
Pan Hermes was terrifying and then it devolves into Goat Boi and Fast Twink
I should know that since I made him a jester npc in my dnd campaign lmao
Probs why him and charon ||know each other in game||
what are you looking for
About how he didn't care about giving every gods a spot, just the ones that make sense for the story
I think it's in #ask-supergiant somewhere
gotcha #ask-supergiant message
He also had this to say:
@sand cobalt 'Why did you include minor deitys like hermys in hedes but not major ones like hera or hafestus'
We wanted a mix of those big iconic names from Greek myth, such as Hades and Athena, and also some less-well-known ones such as Hypnos and Megaera. Part of it is just... the canon myth around some of these characters is so fascinating that it's kind of shocking to me they're not portrayed in media more often. Primordial Chaos is my favorite example of this... the idea that everything sprang from Chaos is like straight out of a heavy metal album cover, and in a story that's ultimately about family, having the great-great grandparent in there made a lot of sense.
The game also is about a specific story, so a character like Demeter has way more of a connection to it inherently than a character like Apollo. Even though Apollo is way better known than Demeter, we opted to include characters that fit the story best. Tisiphone, Alecto, Patroclus, and Demeter were characters we didn't always think would end up in this game but made more and more sense as we moved forward.
and this one #ask-supergiant message
You're a godsend lol
They are right. Primordial chaos is such a cool idea that should be used in media more
Is primordial chaos that uncommon? It’s a very common idea across many cultures, from what I’ve seen.
Also, didn’t know Demeter was that unpopular. I mean, she is an Olympian. Apollo and Hera are certainly more popular, but Demeter’s up there for me.
I don't think it's that common tbh
Like the only good part of the hero's of olympus series sequel of the percy Jackson series is they have primordial tartarus
Like it's there but never really the focus
We need more Eldritch Horror games. Love those
It’s pervasive at least in the Ancient Near East to the degree that the Abrahamic religions and their common ancestor are noteworthy for directly contradicting that sentiment.
Genesis is a very notable text in terms of how it depicts cosmogony.
Well i think in religion, primordials in general are super common
Like God from the bible is a primordial
Well, yes. As far as I know, most mythologies have some sort of primordial being.
Primordial chaos is fairly common, but the Abrahamic religions are notable for primordial order.
I used my wording here wrong. He's primordial cause he is tartarus but they give him a body which is uncommon and what i want to see more of in media
Though I suppose “primordial order” is a bit of an oxymoron.
Yeah, I was wondering if Hades would personify Tartarus before I got into it.
Look I just want more none humanoid ideas taking on a humanoid figure lol
Tartarus is basically it's own personification, depending on the myth
There isn't that much know greco myth around chaos though right? It basically boils down to 'in the beginning there was chaos and they created some stuff then disappeared'
Chaos isn't really a major player in Greek mythology sadly
Q: Where is the first baseball game in the Bible?
A: In the big inning. Eve stole first, Adam stole second. Cain struck out Abel. The Giants and the Angels were rained out.
It's that chaos was the beginning that created themself that then created nyx and tartarus then with nyx and tartarus made oceanus and grea
🤔
hetero achilles 🤢
Straight people? In ancient Greece? No thanks
Just Achilles and his cousin Patroclus.
"Imagine having a love life"
This post was made by the Lord Hades gang
Sappho and her friends
Who is just happen to be so close to Achilles his death sends Achilles to a legendary rage.
Damn they must have been really close friends huh
Yeah, they are gasp battle mates.
I'd imagine that the director might have have a heart attack looking at the Norsk family tree
They even slept in the same bed!
Totally platonic though
looks at Heimdall
You mean the guy who died at the hand of Thanos in an attempt to save the Incredible Hulk?
no, real mythos Heimdall
That's Tyr
Ik I'm kd
Thanos is in Norse mythology?
kek
Greek mythology > norse mythology anyways
ok
Yes Mom
...
Yes Mother

Now I see why people started talking about Thanos there
Random Hades topic starter: Does Artemis eat acorns?
Considering her prowess, I think she would eat more than a single corn. A whole cob maybe?
Hm...... does she eat popcorn?
Don't think popcorn existed back then
And corn today is a GMO which means it basically didn't exist back then
The only corn that existed was maize and that was in Mexico
So safe to say that artemis didn't eat popcorn
Artemis probably eats the people who anger her
after turning them into deer or something
Artemis mythology tldr: you piss her off, you die
Especially people who hit on her. Oops
one dude tried to creep on her and she turned him into a deer and he got torn apart by his own hunting dogs
Deserved tbh
Savage~
We stan a queen
meanwhile, her brother,
Would her brother be tanned?
Yes

it'd be funny if apollo's greater call was zag firing a big laser beam
Just a massive sun ray coming down
Why is it a thing with speedruns that they die before the run starts?
Orbital Strike
So the run is unseeded.
Basically
unseeded?
You can set up your run to get good luck
ah
But dying before reset the RNG essentially
If you start a run and hit "give up", most of the early rooms/boons will be the exact same ^
If you really want to, you can still get good RNG, just need to reset enough time
so therefore to show that the route hasn't been planned out etc ^
Which do you guys prefer: Gods’ Pride or Gods’ Legacy?
I use both equally often I think
Though I like Pride more because Duos are gimmicky
oh one other thing
does pausing the game do something? noticed someone doing it as the rewards ont he doors were being shown
Yup
There is an in game timer
Pausing stops that timer
Some speedruns use in game timer so they do that
Also for Tight Deadline heat
But for real time runs like 6 weapons, that doesn't matter obviously
hm i guess with the amount they were doing it and constisncy, i thoguht it was liker
skipping something
I mean speedrunners would go the distance to save a mili second. Pausing is simple so yeah.
It's also a habit eventually
There is a skip called Codex skip though. Basically you move a tiny bit everytime you open the codex if you have momentum. It also pauses the in game timer.
did everyone else drop the controller and have to be cajoled to continue when it looked like you might have to fight Cerby, the Bested Boy Of The Underworld?
Or am I just weird?
So you can theoretically finish the game in absurdly low time but in real time it would take literal hours.
I’d just bop him. Kapow.
No quarter.
One way to find out
Yeah you tell Cerberus, Fluffy Bun
wait no
Pausing is also used in rng manipulation so like with seeded runs but never just them pausing alone, the have to like cast strike strike pause cast then select the room
How does that affect RNG?
uhhhh where's the option for turning off the "mouse locks onto an enemy while using fourth gun aspect"
because i don't like it snapping so hard even when using a mouse
go to controls
controls --> attack at cursor
oh it's in CONTROLS???
tho I know it's unlikely, and I hate to put more work on the shoulders of the ppl who made this game
I think hades dlc could have a lot of potential
Guys i just used a greater call on a trial and the achievement didnt unlock...
new and different gods and boons, a pact where enemies regenerate health slowly, meeting more Greek mythological figures like Heracles
did you use the greater call of the god you did not choose in the trial?
Will they do a dlc ?
tl:dr no idea, we won't know until supergiant announces something
prob not 😔 but It'd be pretty poggers
Ahhhh i should use the greater call of a god i didnt choose vs him itself?
yes
yep, that's what the achievement is asking of you
The achievement wants you to use the god against themselves
Why so pesimistic guys? Like i see the game still needs like a +1 stage tbh . 1 more boss is essential cuz it ends very fast once you go strong
well SG rarely does any dlc
Ok got it. I used another great call vs another god. Thanks guys
personally I think the game is feature complete as is and doesn't really need any more content
Styx needs to be reworked or +1 stage between styx and elisiuym with other creatures.
My opinion tbh
Its a great game either way
i dont really care what they do tbh i'll play whatever they put out
You see Dead Cells putting many dlc's
have you fought and/or defeated ||redacted|| as of yet?
Great game! Thanks SG games!
Didnt understand the sentence
have you beaten ||the final boss||
have you won yet
Yes like 20 + times
Going on 5 heat with each weapon rn
Just cleared 4 heat with each.
+5 heat extra floor Keepo
Yeap i did that too.
redacted is what the final boss shows as in the admin chamber records if you die to them btw
And Hypnos calls him like that too
Ah i understand
What are your opinions of Hades vs Dead Cells guys? Not like this better than this but a more explained opinion.
Played both, DC seems a bit more difficult
Didnt finished both so i have not a full opinion
DC is a lot more random and the progression doesn't feel as fast
Also it feels to me like all increases in difficulty are way too much of a jump compared to the last one.
I haven't played enough of dead cells to have an opinion of it
I've heard through friends that DC difficulty ramps hard with Boss Cells and is required for the 'true ending'
whereas Hades you can do runs at 0 heat forever and experience the main story that's being told all the same as if someone where to climb heat
Yeah to achieve the true ending you have to play DC at max difficulty
Yeap.
Which I haven't beat, but I'd say it's above the 32 heat threshold of Hades in terms of difficulty
32 is the threshhold of which you get something out of heat (||a cosmetic statue||)
Its like too much time to go on the prefinal boss. And when he beats you, you have to play for like 50 minutes to go again and die fast.
Noicee
most people don't go above 20, but the challenge of high heat is there for those who want it
Tbh i mosly im interested in unlocking all achievements
that's fair, highest heat required for that is 16
The achievements don't require much, just 16 heat and EM3
ahh yeah EM3 too
Em3 is the time punishement?
No, it's the boss one
nah, the boss variation one
So you have to beat empowered T&A
EM1 changes the ||furies||, EM2 changes both the ||furies and hydra|| and so on up to EM4
Ah ok
What about the enter the gungeon ?Have u play it? I think top 3 rogues are hades , enter the gungeon and dead cells
I haven't played much gungeon but I don't like it
I don't know what it is, but the gameplay doesn't click for me
dont like it much either tbh
It is bullet hell aswell, thats why you dont like it maybe

Etg have a thrilling atmosphere
Well I like Binding of Isaac, so it's not quite that
What do you suggest close to hades?
I think that the guns don't change how I play like a set of boons would
I don't know many roguelikes but I'd say Hades is very different from the other ones I've played. It plays a lot more like DOOM, in the sense that the best way to approach an encounter is to keep the pressure up nonstop. Can't think of a lot of roguelikes that do that.
idk if i can ask this question here , but
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ETFo7GGWkAAMnYR.jpg
does anyone have similar sketch or picture of these skulls from the game?
you could just take a screenshot of something similar and ask the tattoo artist to make something custom for you
if you got the money for it that is
I just noticed. The 2nd aspect of all the weapons are for the 6 siblings. They all wielded the weapons during the war with the titans. Now what seems weird to me is why they'd give the spear to Hades when Poseidon had its iconic Trident? And Hades seems like a more likely wielder of a sword.
something something greek mythology
something something spear= satan and satan=hell and hell=hades
i mean if hades was more likely a swordsman he probably wouldn't be using another spear
well according to the myth, a bident (two pronged resembling a pitchfork) is associated with Hades
poseidon using a sword isnt that far-fetched when you have hestia using a gun
howdy hades fam
demeter, the god of seasons literally punched a titan to death
thank you for bringing that up, I completely disregarded that

now what would hades be without his iconic pitchfork
Cerberus feels more iconic than his bifork hahaha
does the myth portray cerberus as a goodboi though?
cerberus is not a goodboi in the myths but can absolutely be interpreted as a goodboi
As far as we know, Cerberus is just the equivalent of a big guard dog like a German shepherd or something
he's a goodboi in the myth, just so happen he ripped everyone that tried to escape to pieces
oh but he does his job pretty well so he's a verygoodboi :))
Zagreus voice
"He likes to eat, can you blame him?"
Piercing Wave+Flurry Slash+Hermes Attack Speed boon is hilarious
got the Demeter Chill explosion buildup boon too
i don't understand what i'm picking the boons for on the victory screen
i like how hades weapons ultimately boil down to " is this an athena dash weapon or a zeus attack weapon "
Or both
Achilles spear/Zag sword moment
every weapon is an athena dash weapon
athena dash goes with everything
it is the ultimate salad topping
except for bow and rail :))
no need for a deflecting dash if you can just destroy projectiles in a sufficiently large area or you know, dodge it considering you're already standing at a pretty good distance
if i'm using something like fists i'll just go for blade dash or something
maybe get divine strike just in case
I use Athena dash and Zeus attack with fists lol
divine strike is apparently really good with fists
definitely great for projectile enemies and you can just cheese tissy entirely
The thing with divine strike is if you punch projectiles most just get destroyed anyways and if I want to reflect big ones I can just dash into it. Overall zeus attack has higher dps
Me: trying to get sea storm build on rail
Ares: do you want beyblades :) i will give you beyblades
achilles + arty + ares duo 😳
what was the aspect/boon/upgrade yall thought was garbage until you saw/found the build for it
literally every cast boon seemed like garbage when i was starting out
until i realized it actually did damage
Chaos shield easily.
I have the weirdest cast build right now, leveled up beam cast:
Boons:
- Achilles legendary +2 cast
- Zeus duo +10% beam dmg + faster tracking
5 beams @16dps * 1.1
Beams with achilles is very strong
Yes
If a beam nornally does 10 damage, it's now doing 25 a hit with post-rush bonus
Achilles is just nutty
The spear silly
achilles buffs your next attack right?
Next 4 attacks and casts
4???
Or... Use stygian soul and get bad news!
stygian soul has potential
Oh it definitely has some uses
generally not a good idea for cast builds unless you actually get more casts
i jsut need more blood so i can get more potential out of the aspects i dont like
zeus shield, posiedon sword
Stygian soul is solid for slower casts: blade shot, trippy shot, and crystal beams are all great examples.
i've seen an insane laser lightshow build done with stygian soul
Yes
You don't get burst, but it also means you don't need to wait for any of those casts to finish doing what they do.
quick reload + fully reloaded would be the goated setup for stygian soul
i've had it for that same amount of time and i've clocked 100+ hours of play
distant memory
the one for the god whose cast you want
i just in general usually use god 1 -> god 2 -> acorn -> acorn
so does hermes saying "this god is running late" mean youre gonna run into them soon
if i'm not sure what keepsake to take i just take the ||blossom||

i don't feel much need to take the acorn unless i'm in elysium
he says that when he replaces a room that would have been another god
that rat
because he fast
hermes sure likes to race the other gods
he sometimes turns up before a god you forced with a keepsake
god of speed
I just discovered that if you take "Premium Vintage" (+hp when pick up nectar, get 1 nectar now) from dionysus in a room where you have to choose between 2 boons and fight the other (idk if thoose have a special name), you dont get that free nectar. Is a strange interaction
But since after picking the boon, the combat against the other god starts rigth away, you dont get it, its strange
You still get it
you can just grab it after the fight
I’ve done that before and it drops next to you and then the other god starts attacking
Well, I'm right now on that room and dont have any nectar on my inventory
Strange
Achiles is so good
Also why would you pick eris over achilles
The damage of achilles is way better and it doesnt go away instantly
I mean main important things are cast, attack, and special right?
So Eris can increase things like doom/hangover
Tru
Whereas, Achilles can not
Doom/hangover aren't the best examples for speedrunning, but you get the idea
For eris you literally need zeus attack
Yes, the damage is strong
I tried an eris run and didnt get zeus attack and barely cleared
Sounds like ya weren't running it right.
Eris is very versatile. I ran a hangover build and it wrecks shop!
I got really crappy boons
I was 12 minutes slower on that run than my first clear with zeus lighting
*lightning
Dang
I got 36 Igt on this run and 24 on my first one
i also didn't get rocket bomb on my special and only got cluster rocket
So that also sucked
this gives me an idea for a challenge run; attackless eris
i’ll do it right now
wait no
sleep
i’ll do it tomorrow
finally cleared a run with each weapon
now im allowing myself to tinker with aspects & heat
Is Heat required after you've cleared a run for the first time?
Got two duos into tartarus... why this luck now lol
@deep oasis increasing heat is only required if you wish to get more of the drops from each levels bosses. If you just want to do runs for the sake of it, you don’t need to increase the heat
am i the only person that thinks Artemis dash (hunter dash) should be a pass and not fill up your dash slot
I do too, but that’s just how it be
even with crit synergies that is just so much worse than the other sahes
If you’re rolling with fists it can be really good imo, but for ranged weapons it’s a waste I think
i like zeus/dio on fists
I just want the hunter dash to give me crits.
zeus is good on fists
Poseidon on fists was wild lmao, I really underestimate his boons sometimes
I really loved putting Poseidon Special on hidden Aiges aspect with also the daedalus that makes it bounce more
it just auto-clears styx rooms in one shot
a bombard?
what
sorry im dumb
my brain said adament rail for some reason
its the dragon dash ting right?
rail with cluster bomb/rocket is nasty but i never get that combo lol
the hidden shield is a very heavy shield
i dont like rail and bow
so the special is... also heavy
i am quite upset
its good until you realoze that you cant deal damage very good
i was trying to go for a pb run but i got a 5 sack
what is?
rip
owwwwww
now i know how it feels
Whats your pb
I think styx depends on how much you prepared prior
yeah
but my least favorite is really elysium
Primarily spammy but I’m interested to hear anyone’s
lol
the sack rng
is so dumb honestly
you could be having a great run but then 5 sack and boom go reset
More like patty pray
22 minutes when i could have gotten at least sub 19
I respect anyone getting sub 20 and sub 15 with the ranged weapons
Because I can’t for the life of me make the bow sub 20 😂
I had a better time with Chiron starting out. 🙂
I've gotten attached to Power Shot, though.
just so happens i was using chiron
had concentrated volley and a good crit build
and then i didn't get the sack until the 5th tunnel
feelsbadman
Sometimes ya get unlucky
||Dont steal from charon's shop, worst mistake of my life||
Who do you all focus on when handing out gifts?
Everyone
Or favorites
If I have things to spare everyone
If not favorites
Then to move plot
Or plot firdt if you want
Yaaaay I killed ||Minotaur 2.0||.
The ||chariot|| is... honestly not sure if it's actually worse than the ||original Theseus||, really. You can just chase after it and backstab.
i find it easier tbh
Yeah the ||chariot|| is easier than regular ||Theseus||, it’s ||Asterius|| that’s the problem
Yeah, definitely.
don't have to worry about the lance , just have spatial awarenesss
First time he just killed me by himself as the mini-boss, the ground pound takes some getting used to.
Yeah, exactly.
I mainly went to max either Zag aspects first (cheapest) or the meta aspects.
You can buy the aspect, test it on skelly, and force close the game and you’ll get your titan blood back
Just don’t leave the room
i see ill give it a shot
||Chariot|| is easier because you dont have to worry about the shield
Until you destroy it
Lmao I just max what I want
Same
I just unlock and max the ones that are fun to use
I want dlc...
poseidon aspect active
rapid fire hermes
crit cast artemis
now if i can jsut
get exit wounds
is railgun good or am i just lucky every time i run it

It’s not my cup of tea, but I’ve had some fun with it
Anything can be good if you know what boons to work towards
i prefer poseidon cast over artemis cast in my cast builds tbh
the aoe damage is very good
nice pfp @tender basalt
Thank you thank you 😎
I think I just finished Hades? Or this is the end of the beginning of a new storyline.
Orpheous has a great singing voice
Is dash upper on fists consider dash strike ? Like if you have Artemis dash which increase dash strike damage, would dash upper counts ?
yes
Yes
Nice thank you guys.
Sometime's I forget the fist special works on dash and just pump special damage and ignore dash
Even though I literally spam the dash special
It's really only Hunter Dash
That chaos boon too
Yeah its pretty good
Chaos boon has some significant dash strike damage
Especially if you can get something like zues attack and for hammers get cluster rocket and rocket bomb
You can't pom chaos boons
Yeah but it can also be a huge damage increase, especiallg stacked with Artemis or Posiden or something. Aphro.
You can't pom it cause it already stacks
Special also counts as dash ? I was talking about dash upper, it does use the same button as special but its during a dash.
Nonono that's what I was talk about. I ignore dash strike (specifically chaos boons) when going for a mostly dash upper build.
I really wanna do an undamaged build. As in I wanna take all the things that give you extra damage on undamaged Enemies
Just got out of Tartarus in exactly 4:20.69 😎
sup
bruh nice
what is an undamage build?
ok?
Also, blown kiss
what is that
blown kiss
what
is it a aphro boon or someting??
im confusion
i dont do undamage damage
Yea, it is an upgrade for the aphro cast
It has better range and deals 100% damage to undamaged enemies
The problem is that you need to use Crush Shot
Crush shots range isn't great, but it deals solid damage
Weak is a good status too
but i dont see it being usefull
30 percent damage reduction nothing to scoff at
week is great
Along with others boons that reduce the damage you take
Like Athena Demeter and aphro ones
Demeter?
Sweet surrender is just an amazing boon
she no has dmg reduction
Ravenous will
Aphro's Attack/Special boons are good because they have damn good base damage
i like to use the stones recharce mirror thing
Ravenous will is great if you have her cast
Ravenous will is insane! You are nuts for thinking its bad
That is at minimum 10% bonus damage to everything
depends on how your cast setup looks like
Let's say you have the Arte legendary
and the +2 casts from mirror
that's 5 casts you gotta get rid of for that damage boost
Then lets say you're using an Ares cast
That is 30% damage for all of your blade rifts
Bro just get vicious cycle
That damage gets increased as well
theseus an minos are so hard bro
are casts like demeter and ares efected by buffs when they are alredy out?
I'm being trolled by an urn in the Furies battle zone that spawned in an unreachable area... 🤔
what about wiht achilles spear
Yep!
huat
Achilles spear is nuts
so like
if i send out like 6 casts
and use special
do all of them have it?
no? i dont think so right?
yes
yes thats what im saying
so like
it doesn't efect the ones that are alredy out
Achilles specifically says the next 4 attacks/casts.
So the last 2 would not be affected by post rush damage
yes
Because of how Achilles works, what you are suggesting will not work. However, they will get the bonus damage from ravenous will
yes i know how it works
but like why
i think
dmg is calculated
befor the attack goes out
so like
if ur cast does 100 dmg
and u have 20%+ dmg
u will have 120
Only if the damage happens after you don't have any casts.
yes
I do not know if it happens for the last cast you use
and isn't that what happend with demiter
dud thats literaly what im asking
if cast out
then +10% dmg
what happen
So for demeter it will work because it will deal damage after the cast is released.
Now if you were to cast something like crush shot, I am not sure if that damage will be added
It might, but something like that requires experimentation
Haven't tested but my instinct is that it will apply
Casts can't do their damage before the cast happens, and when the cast happens the cast counter goes to 0
I think you are right since you technically release it before damage is applied
so no bonus damage right?
If our theory is right, it will do bonus damage
i am so confused
but ok
i am 100% sure that achilles no do that
because its every time you attack
so like
would something like eris work?
if you resese you cast
and bomb ur self after u relese it
Damage is evaluated based on the buffs you have when the attack lands
So if your bomb hits you before the cast lands, it would apply the buff
The only notable exception that I can think of is Achilles Spear buff, which modifies the attack. So if you have Crystal Beam cast, and you cast while you have the Achilles buff, the entire duration of that cast will have +150% damage
yes
Guys varatha's last aspect is it worth getting? Idk if it's considered a spoiler that's why I'm asking this way
With pierced butterfly its good
And the one where you charge up your special
Thats the only way its good
Hidden Spear is good, but it is also punishing.
Only good with charged skewer
It's very powerful with charged skewer
+pierced butterfly

Hi Guys,
I was doing a run, I was on the ||Elysium|| boss already and suddenly the energy was out here at home, I lost the entire run. Is game saving not automatic chamber by chamber?
That highlights them in the victory screen, the boons are on all the time.
there should be ways to get the backup saves is #h1-tech-fixes
yeah there are ways to recover a save file due to energy outage
check #h1-tech-fixes or #h1-tech-support
why not both??
f
I tried every 2nd and 3rd aspects now along the spear hidden aspect, I'm gonna max Achilles spear.
Definitely worth
Its still my favorite spear so yeah.
About Hera bow, ammo drop time doesnt work with some cast like Trippy Shot right ?
Nice to know btw thank you for your opinion !
_ _
Im still waiting
Holy cow! This "undamaged foes" build is nuts and I just started!
Heyo everyone
On god I literally broke out 100 times before I realized the mirror of night had even more aspects you can strengthen
I felt dumb as hellll
Rank Olympian Gods in terms of basedness.
Ares > Athena > Artemis > Poseidon > Hermes > Zeus > Demeter > Aphrodite > Dionysus
What weapon are you using ?
I’m pretty new to this game but I decided to try a 32 heat run for the hell of it and I got halfway through elysium. I thought it was supposed to be brutally difficult
What is the most optimum way to do a 32 heat run?
Ok
That run went way better than I expected!
Easy win! Hades took chunks of damage each crush shot hit!
It helps that chaos gave my casts 63% damage
Nicee
But it did end up just being a solid cast build :p
I'm gonna try it again and hope I actually get blown kiss this time
And it does big damage!
The only downside of that run is Aphro ate up all my rolls in the first room 😆
But right now, crush shot is doing 247 damage from fiery presence alone
Got a common blown kiss. I'll take it though!
Nicee
Based Ness?
I'm really satisfied with maxed Achilles spear, almost 2x damage after Raging Rush.
I'm doing an HL5 and TD3 run with it right now and everything going alright for now, I just reached Elysium.
@waxen juniper Btw what about boss battles with undamaged foes build, do you still have good source of damage ?
Anybody having issues with Dashing Flight? It works about 85% of the time for me, but when it doesn't fire I can't attack for a brief duration.
Easy: crush shot does good damage.
Also, exit wounds helps
Plus, I had chill on my special so Priveleged Status was easy to get
I failed my HL5 and TD3 run because I fell on gigantic vermin boss in the styx which made me lose time, I was out of time against ||Hades|| and I had stubborn defiance on because I needed it to do a prophecy and I was about to do a regular run but then I forgot about it and went to do heat run, I'm going back right now but I'll still keep stubborn defiance.
I see.
Still can't get blown kiss for the life of me -_-
I sadly took a chaos boon that killed me the 2nd run, so that didn't go well. But the 3rd run only had a common crush shot boon with no damage increase. So that one was just alright
Exit wounds did most of the work that run
What heat settings are you running with ?
EM 2, HL 5, BP2 and TD 1
On top of running out of time on my previous run, while rushing to buy a boon at the Styx shop I accidentally bought the anvil and got upgrades I'm not really into so that didn't help as well.
I see.
I died at Lernie at the 2nd fight. The chaos boon would give me 67% cast damage... but it also made me lose 3 health everytime I cast.
So... as you might imagine, I didn't last long after taking that xp
Lol yeah sometimes I forget and also get hurt from chaos boon, btw you're aware that you dont get the chaos boon bonus until the curse is removed right ?
Yea I know. Otherwise I probably woulda beat lernie :p
Chaos can't directly kill you, it'll only take yuo down to 1 hp
Yea, but 1 hp is sadly a bit too low for that fight
I tried: it did not pan out well. Plus, my other damage dealers were garbage
Cursed slash is amazing tho.
I was with spear on that run but I wasn't going to buy the anvil, I was rushing because out of time and I accidentally bought it.
I usually dont do something that would hurt me from a Chaos curse but it happens that I forget for a bit sometimes and eventually do it once or twice.
Yea... but 67% cast damage!!
hey does anyone know if i can easily change languages in my save file rn without like starting over or anything? (my game isn't on rn or i'd check myself but) or would i have to pick it from the outset
idk if its a loop hole or not
but the Attack thing where everytime you attacks you lose a set amount of health but gain the like percentage of loot
if you press Q it doesnt hurt you at all
does that not count as an attack
it's referring specifically to attack, not to special or other ways you deal damage
not a loophole, intended
OH thanks the lord
Legend for taking that on though

would anyone happen to know if the vinyl will ever be restocked? i got the transistor one but not hades because i was a bit low on funds, but i now can and checked- only to see its sold out 😔
Yes but you dont get the Chaos boon bonus until the curse is removed.
I know. Pretty sure we went through this already
I beat the game for the first time. What heat should I do to get bounties again
The dialogue popping up for the fourth aspects is fully random, right? (after conditions are met)
||I went the one where the enemy doesnt take the first attack tis the easiest||
Also thats a spoiler
congrats
from here you can either get clears on your other weapons,
or if you want some heat suggestions
||tight deadline 1 is 36 mins
damage control is good if you are using a fast firing weapon (fists/rail)
conveniance fee
middle management is a little spooky but doable
benefits package 1, but avoid 2 as it makes some super spooky combos||
OH actually now that im in the hall
i see something called ||Erebus for 5 gems what is that exactly||
||it's a mini challenge where if you go hitless for the room, you'll get whatever reward is listed on the portal/door||
||it requires 5 heat to be accessible though||
For the tartarus gate.
It needs 10 for asphodel and 15 for Elysium
And the ||rewards are better, such as 2x health, 2x level, and increased rarity of boons||
oh it does scale? didn't know
Beat me to it dysphere.
so question in personal opinion is it better to have fated authority or fated Persuasion
Persuasion
^
ok i gotta earn that now lol
Persuasion
Even if you wanted to roll a specific god, that's quite the lucky roll if you do
And even if you get them there's no guarantee you get the boons that you want
IF chaos were to eat from multiple heads would the taste of the theoretical (different) food be perceived separately or as one? discuss. my friends wont get off my back about this question
rerolling to hit duo boons however
The dream!
Or legendaries of course
Now just hope it happens in 1 roll instead of 2+
okay also ||For the weapons when you pick their special ability (Aspect) how do you aquire the 4th one?||
the worst feeling is having to reroll the opening boon
i sometimes just give up and change weapon lmao
In very specific builds fated authority is better.
Sweet Nectar and Hoarding Slash builds are great for Fated Authority
pinned messages of #h1-story-discussion
Sweet Nectar doesn't need it, but you can get some crazy upgraded equipment.
also obligatory,
hidden
sword
best
sword
I know Haelian's got Lvl. 50 items
I actually like poseidon sword
that passive cast bonus is good, plus you don't have to wait for casts
50 bonus health to start, and it hits like a truck base damage is 60/80/100 on the base attack three hit combo
plus exit wounds
oh wow
Was my weapon of choice for my first 20 heat and em4 victories
plus the special's area ||disables all traps & lava||
i have completed 4 escapes
||special creates an aura that slows projectiles, reduces damage, and disables traps||
That with epic Aphrodite attack is pretty much enough to win by itself on lower heat
didnt realise it did that
oh yeah also forgot to mention ||40% damage reduction inside the field||
|| hs + arthur tactics???||
I prefer going arte attack with aphro special/cast for heart rend
haven't tested noncrit builds
literally how I cheesed the HS fate listing
That also works quite well
That never occurred to me when I did that prophecy o.O
I did mine with fists and hoping I was good enough to avoid them and hoping for sure footing
I attempted ||32 heat|| with ||arthur|| last night, got to elysium before making a mistake with SD not realizing the room I was in had no explosive plants :c
The winning run ended up not having sure footing but I had aphro's legendary with aphro on attack
it'll probably be the weapon I use to actually get the challenge done, just gonna take a few attempts
in the mean time just gonna keep slowly raising ||heat|| for practice
cool
Holy crap I just invested 5 titan blood into the spear and when I talked to achilles ||he gave me the words for guan yu first try||

My last run I had Artemis call, the bar starting at 25%, the bar increasing by 1% every second (or something) and increased bar fill when I take damage. Plus I had pommed it twice.
With the hidden aspect for Rail.
Artemis is so good when you can just sit and shoot
With support fire?
I didn't roll support fire unfortunately, but that would have been good
I don't like arte's call, waiting for greater is so lame
I'd rather take dio/zeus and spam
I wasn't waiting for greater. I got greater call in 5 seconds.
Lmao
Yeah that's fine, just talking in general
It started as a meme build but was actually good
Oh alright sorry, the way you said it sounded like you might not know.
I find Artemis call meh in regular rooms and amazing v bosses
HL5/TD3 run finally cleared, took 3 tries with Stubborn Defiance, I was trying to get the mirror prophecy but it also added some challenge, I'll probably go back to Death Defiance for now tho.
i like poseidon's one the most
hands down
There's no best weapons, the best weapon is your favorite.
aspect of talos is pretty fun
fists are kinda neat because pretty much every aspect is popular
how do i get my roles?
oh yeah
with some weapons you see a trend occur, but fists have a decent mix
#bot-commands @brisk trail
But if you want a good fist run
#bot-commands
BY FAR
i like pairing aspect of talos with posion's attack
aight
I like demeter fists the most
Yup
if you get her on your left click with her 10 stack explosive proc
Its so damn good
and i got the doom special with the launch fist
freaking nothing survived
i just wish i got Dion's right click
I meant the aspect, not the god
Oh
i got the funny crit special on my most recent run
what's ze/hir/zir????
probably pronouns someone prefers to go by

Please keep in mind the first rule of the server, which means fostering a welcoming and inclusive community — especially where personal identity is concerned
all good
All good. 67% of 200 base damage was just a big deal. I had to take the risk. Sadly it did not pay off
Pronouns for people that don’t identify with a specific gender, such as chaos. Can be swapped out interchangeably with they them pronouns.
Is there a way to reset God mode dmg reduction %?
there is not
Ok but I don't understand why people don't identify with one of the both genders
Chaos is a mythological entity not a regular human
as someone who exclusively identifies as they/them, you do not need to be a mythological entity to feel comfortable with alternate pronouns. just respect when someone does
One sec I have a link for you
Umm
It's related somewhat as chaos is NB :3
I'm gonna be honest, I ain't gonna read that
Technically Chaos is an entity but I appreciate the sentiment. I'm NB myself
I just wanted to know from some of you how do you end up with that decision, just curious
sorry to disrupt but this aint really the place for this
Ye, you re right
We can move to #off-topic-discussion or DMs if you like
||does FO affect trap speed?||
I don't believe so, but can't say I've paid close enough attention
