I mostly feel like the normal difficulty was exactly enough but not too challenging for me, so it never occurred to me to change it. But for players who wanna experience the game but feel like it is too hard for them or don't want to spend time leveling up, etc. it's a nice option. I don't think there's any shame in using it if it makes the game more enjoyable for some. On the other hand, it also never really appealed to me to play in hell mode.

Yeah, I mean I think that's good advice that's what I was doing essentially (though I didn't get the chance to pom it as much as I normally would pom hangover), it just felt like compared to other crowd control methods it was still slow and left me more vulnerable while applying, and the single target DPS on bosses was meh compared to what I've been getting with other aspects as well

Definitely, it's just more incidental that with hangover you can max stacks and switch targets to handle multiple enemies I suppose is more accurate, and I'd compare it more to something like beo shield poseidon cast or an build icewine that's not inherently crowd control either just happens to be good at killing groups. I shouldn't have used the term CC since that kinda implies something dedicated to striking multiple enemies and dealing with groups.
That said, numbing sensation is nice, but peer pressure makes a big difference for me in groups if I can get it
I think maxing stacks on a room of enemies is easier with hangover if it's one something like say, fists, but with chiron bow having to attack and then special volley each target seems less effective. Sometimes I would happen to hit 2 or 3 enemies with the special though and that always helped with groups

When playing with pride on I seem to get a significant amount of legendary/duo offerings when I take at least one favor boon vs when I don't.

Cursed Slash is decent for new players who use very suboptimal DPS rotations anyway. Can help them out with heals. Less max HP but you can end up with a lot more total HP over the course of the run if you get hit a lot and keep healing back.

We take skull rooms because they're faster and more predictable and also better rewards
If you have a Meg they're also easier
But they dont help with odds
