Mimic can mimic things that it can do evidence for, so it can mimic obake fingerprints, but that's because it has UV as evidence, for instance, and same with the deo breath you were asking about. Obviously it can mimic behaviors (like banshee scream) since they're not evidence. Just figured I'd explain that that way it was easier to remember

So me and my wife play and are looking for a more “realistic” style of hunting like listening for sounds, we already made rules like no video camerqs until last so we can’t find the ghost room like that, one thing I think would be great is in custom they gave us the option to slow down temp drop so it’s harder to find the room with breath as well

turn on voice activation so you actually have to stay quiet during hunts

Ban t3 para mic, it seems too high tech to be real but I could be wrong

Ban looping

Make it so you need all 3 evidence to id a ghost and don’t rely on traits-what’s to say an “irl” spirit might walk a little faster?

Ban crucifixes

Ban incense

Turn off activity and sanity monitor

Tbh. More realism would be banning evidence in general. As ghost irl dont have those. Ghost hunters in real life have to use all their technology and knowledge to figure out what a ghost/entity is purely based on what its doing and how its interacting with people. And of course, hunting irl isnt really a thing so turn that off. Use all your knowledge to figure out the ghost. this does mean no rewards for the hunting turned off
Smudges and cruci are used irl, same with video cams, especially video cams. Like watching people truly pationate about ghost exploration really brings a new perspective to how all the items in game can and probably are used irl.

Ghost are always physically there, it doesn't SPAWN for a hunt, it was already there just roaming about invisible. ALL ghost roam. Goryo and Banshee cannot change their fav room. It's impossible without monkey paw wish.

Ghosts are constantly rolling RNG to do different actions - roam, interact, event, hunt, etc. within their specific parameters of being that ghost. So it rolled to roam, then it rolled to hunt after it finished roaming to a randomly chosen end point.

During the hunt it can go wherever. It also takes time to get back toward its ghost room after a hunt and it could theoretically re-roll to hunt again after the initial 30 second cooldown between hunts is up.

no you can figure out any ghost in no evidence. They are fine to figure out. You just need to be patient and not be doing the CWW grind set mindset of using hunt traits.
