but you could also use other fire dps if you don't have Lantern, like Badum, and they would want their own supports (Heavenly shift supports)

At SSS rank cosmic expression is significantly better than RC. SS it’s noticably better. At S rank it’s pretty close except when she’s using her ult. Basically cosmic expression benefits a lot from ranks in her supporting role here, she has a jump at S and another at SS and a third at SSS

Boltstorm has good buffs but Boltstorm is slow

You could go for ranks on CE but it’s a lower priority than VBM

So only do it if you’ve already bought VBM frags for the week

I also understand this doesn't help against the stage timer but a stage should give ample enough time and you can just quit and restart.

For an elemental dps, try testing the rotation against mirage physical 6 where kallen is. Kallen enemy is immune to elementals.

• A recurring shop for past event stuff. Main Bridge Menu > Supply > Shop > Event Shop (left) > Time Capsule.
• As mentioned below, everything here is still niche. If you fail to get anything here, it's probably not going to largely affect you.
• We don't know when these will return again so it's arguable to prioritize these if they are of interest, even if it means delaying other projects like SSS VBm.

Meta but Niche

• Susannah: Overtime T
  • Arguably top priority in this shop.
  • Increases team physical damage. This isn't much but it does have an unlimited duration, possibly notable for budget Astral Ring teams that stay out for longer periods. For such early/developing accounts that don't have better support effects yet, this can be used along with Ogier B.
  • Also further increases the team's bleed physical damage. Note this will not benefit Lunar Vow who is bleed lightning. This, when used with Aladdin MB (craftable G4 now), is situationally best for Peregrine Sword (Sushang) dps when the fight focuses more on her own damage and less on teammates. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ8BOojOyyo
  • The bleed trauma can rarely be useful, such as allowing to bleed Jizo's hitcount clone when it's spawned but before it actually shows on field. I do not know of any similar use case for nowadays though. https://youtu.be/xYtj29_yCCM?t=73
  • If you're stuck with a gearless PS and need to use her for main dps for some abhorent reason (you really shouldn't find yourself in this spot), maybe PS can appreciate the self physical damage boost here along with the above.

• HOMU M - Increases pickup radius, allowing you to collect things like SP packs more easily midfight. Very rare effect, where the other primary source of boosting pick up range are the Nirvana/Myriad/Genshin collab emblems. However, in most cases, you are not going to find room to put this on since it doesn't help with your damage. I only really expect this to be used in SS Memorial Arena strategies or for early accounts that don't have anything else to use in that slot. I still recommend getting it though.

• Shigure Kira: Rehersal B - Buffs the team's ice damage (6% when not maxed, 12% when maxed). This isn't much but has an unlimited duration and can be used along with Ogier T. If your account is still early/developing with an Astral Ring ice dps with no affordable better alternative (e.g. 3pc Prism Stigmata sets on the intended user), consider this.

• [Proto] Weapons - Potent on older Valkyries for weapon actives that are instantaneous with no animation, making it viable for effects that trigger from using a weapon active such as Gustav M or Avogadro M. Pick them up if you have spare resources and care about niche Memorial Arena strategies. Beware newer Valkyries have their own weapon actives and animations that will REPLACE the actives on the weapons themselves, so I fully expect these to never find future uses.

• Bronya: Backup B - Boosts ranged attacks specifically. Not many effects in the game specifically does this. The game doesn't always make it clear what attacks qualify as ranged or not, and there are Abyss weathers and other effects that specifically boosts ranged damage. Therefore, this stigmata can be used to help figure out what qualifies as ranged or not. Beware this does give some ATK stats too which will slightly increase even non-ranged damage too.

Collection Only

• Rebel Blades Sets: Getting ALL of these can further grant the HOMEI Mei emblem (2% lightning damage when equipped) but none of these (not even the emblem) are notable meta wise.
  • Fu Hua: Onyx Simurgh B might be better than the barebones Attila B for budget physical considerations. However the cost of this early on might be steep (20k asterite to get from the shop, and then spending phase shifters to max out)
• Everything else not mentioned still does add points for the Collection menu, which can eventually lead to slight crystal milestones. Consider them if you have excess materials but do consider reserving some in case of future Time Capsules.
  -# - HOMU B - Some people might be interested in the 20% movement speed from this. However just use Elizabeth B instead lol (41% as long as you stay above 80% HP). Move speed isn't really useful for the meta, but it's nice to have for running around an Open World map or for clearing one survival stage in Yamabuki's stress test.

• Cannot be used to craft a PRI-ARM that is not its own.
• Can be used to craft its respective PRI-ARM.
• Gives you Divine Key bonuses such as +10 accountwide attack (see the Divine Keys Menu).

-# Please note that if you pull multiple copies of a Stellar Key (Part 2 Divine Key) you tune the one you will be upgrading - note that locked copies cannot be used to upgrade its Synergy level until unlocked, which takes 24h.

Theoretically some of it could even be useful if you had the right gear and teams. It’s just

1. They’re worse than any other banner
2. The odds of getting the character you want from dorm is abysmal

So you only spend free pulls on dorm and then get whoever you don’t get lucky and pull from dorm from the various shops

A few broad guidelines to help you with future questions

• The main objective for building valkyries and teams is to do well in abyss (q-manifold/superstring dimension). The reward from this gamemode (cycles two times per week) are a large amount of crystals (we aim to help players reach ~500 per cycle).
• Eventually, abyss becomes a mode where you need to compete against other player's high scores, so simply clearing stages/bosses isn't good enough.
• Abyss generally emphasizes the newest releases. However the game has stopped making new valks as farmables. Basically anything you can farm you should NOT expect to be worth maxing out (the only exception to this is maybe VBm Coralie but it's not that important either).
• What's worth getting for abyss/meta are the latest new releases of each patch. Loosely speaking, you want to save up 40k crystals or 145 rolls to get the valkyrie and her weapon together.
• There are still some farmables worth getting without maxing out. The idea is to keep things cheap while you prepare for actual worthwhile pick ups.
• All of this have emphasized abyss and meta but that's not the only way to play the game. Let us know if you have any specific interests of your own to more focus on. For story/events you don't really need to own or build too much on your own either. They give you trials to use.

The usual reason to consider restarting for a better start on your account is to prepare for abyss, which is a gamemode where you eventually compete against other players. Doing well in abyss rewards you with more crystals.

However, maintaining the meta on an account is a long term process. Do you see yourself quitting again? If so maybe we should take a more intermediate or even casual approach to the game.

To actually answer your question, it might depend on what you're interested in. For people who want to ensure making the new Mei well functional with 2 matching supports, they may consider starting now to:

• reroll for PS Sushang valk only (skip her weapon)
• complete events to get the free Lunar Vow
• prepare crystals and get
  • Mei
  • Mei's weapon
  • LV's new weapon (this banner expires sooner than mei)
  • total cost of all these at worst luck can be roughly 57k crystals.

honkai pieces as in the purple honkai blocks right? They are buyable from coin shop so they're regarded as cheap. However early on you can run out of any kind of resource in this game so i advise being conservative. Only spend on what you plan to use alot.

While i do prioritize mei over luna, the tricky part is luna banner ends sooner.
The best answer I have is to make your own spreadsheet to document your current crystals, and all sources of future crystals you can expect to get. If this amount exceeds 57k, you're safe for all three and can prioritize getting luna's weapon before it leaves.
Edit: This is obviously alot of work though. If you're very new and haven't rolled anything yet, as long as you plan to play alot and focus on gaining crystals, you'll prob be able to afford all of mei and luna. Refer to the crystal faq above.

I don't know what you mean by "modern" characters. I usually think of newest releases for that but that would be the new mei. But you're saying you're getting these modern characters to help that mei so i'm confused.

However beware luna with her new weapon will have new astral ring mechanics that changes her team building. Eden won't be a part of it anymore.

sorry to ask an obviuous question i just couldnt really find it in teh crystal faq, so im guessing to gurantee a charachter you need 2800 * 9 and for gear you need 17k total for weapon and stigmata? so if i were to pull for mei, her weapon and stigmata and LV gear that would be 34k + 2800*9?

theresa gluttony is used to support the team mainly. Are you using Luna as a dps or a support? I was under the impression this was a budget dps early on.

If you're saying this because theresa is on the art, then that has no bearing on anything and try to move away from that logic. It's very faulty.

i rather you get ss imags from other sources naturally until you get enough but you can rush to craft it if you want. It's kinda minor in the grand scheme of things but eventually SS imags are more of something you want to trash than to buy.
EDIT: if your resources to buy SS imags are limited I definitely wouldn't do it.

I think both valk and gear are important. It's more about how it all comes together. Generally early investment levels are cheaper than later ones.

Also if meta isn't your main focus then it's whatever goes unless you can give me a more specific goal. Abyss and Arena are the main modes that pushes you to actually construct good teams and to play well. Other modes aren't as demanding

Pledge of Sakura on LV doesn't really make sense unless it's the only thing you have as a stat stick. This might be the case for people who already developed their dorm divine key menu, but not really the case for you. Focus more on judah instead (get it from exchange shop) if you must pick a budget cross.

Yeah resonances for exchange shop are an out of date currency and it's kinda obtuse to get weapon resonances now. Need to farm an old gacha grade weapon from foundry just to convert (not salvage) it. Stig reso has more ways to get but the rate is still very slow (open world finalization)

1 - Grips of Tai Xuan (gloves, cope glove weapon and ice gene limit).
2 - Cleaver/Judgement of Shamash (guns/greatsword, need both to sync for +10 attack and fire gene limit).
3 - Jizo Mitama (katana, phys gene limit attached to it).
4 - Star of Eden (cannon, has no attached gene limit it just exists).

They rarely see use as dps but both dragon coralie and kiana see a lot of use as supports
Paws and vita also get used but to a lesser extent from what ive seen

However the idea of rolling the new releases persists across any and every patch. Generally if you're f2p or light spending, you only focus on one or two things and forget everything else. It's very very rare to have any meta considerations for reruns.

You seem to be giving off an idea that a strong patch would have alot of things to choose from(?) but this isn't the case. Actually next patch is more plentiful than other patches because it's the CNY patch.

Historically and loosely speaking, CNY valks tend to have stronger presence in the meta, so maybe you can put a bit more weight on considering Mei that way. I can't guarantee anything though and there certainly has been some seemingly big releases in the past that ended up being not too special (e.g. Herrscher Elysia)

Once your account is in a more developed state, you generally want to pull at the start of the patch before the open beta cn info is out because you don't want to miss out on use cases for the release that happens early in the patch. But it's arguably not really a big deal if you do miss out in the grand scheme of things either.

I can elaborate on some of these points further if needed. As much as I have written, alot of these points were covered shallowly since I needed to go broad.

While we may talk about how good something is at a top level, keep in mind this is pretty irrelevant for new player considerations.

These best cases are only better than alternatives slightly. Astral ring has made things more balanced in that regard. So as long as the support matches the leader properly you can generally expect to still perform well enough. Usually any loss are like 5-10%. Worst is more around 15% for overall damage.

It's just that a top level when other people are also using these same best options, and playing well, then that minor difference will matter more. In a class of 100 students, you can fall out of the top 10% because you got a 90 but ten other people got a 95.

For most intents in purposes, the main aim is not at the top level (exalted nirvana), but the semi highest level (exalted red lotus) where the rewards aren't that far off but things are much more lenient

To be fair, Hieu Le only shows alternative options when they are really close. You can definitely lose 60-80 score from wrong supports quite often. Generally not enough to lose points from it but enough that gaining points can become a problem.

FWS and FDD are common supports nowadays but beware you're only rerolling for their valk and not their weapons (since you'll need to spend additional crystals for that. You could in theory reroll for both valk+weap and however much more but the effort and pay out is far too imbalanced and unreasonable)

Without their weapon you're not accessing their full capacity. Signature weapons generally provide

• 30-40% personal damage. So basically you're not using them for any main dps use cases even if their dps scenarios in abyss comes up.
• weapons may provide notable utility to the valk. Sometimes these can be vital to the valk's gameplay flow. in the context of fdd and fws this isn't the case. You can still play them fully as supports. FWS doesn't lose much in such a role. However, FDD does lose a notable chunk of buff/debuffs iirc, so the idea of her being one the best support prob won't hold up. The reason why she's still fair to pursue is because she provides other things like ease of access to her ult and status utility.

It should be possible but you are mainly stamina locked for levelling time so it may not be possible, is there any reason why you are asking?

Uncleared story missions give a bit more then other sources and daily missions also give extra exp but else tasks converts to EXP proportional to stamina usage, so as long as you are using stamina on something you will level up.

yes alot shes lvl 39 and does 80k sometimes somehow and like obliterates enemies for the level and the investment shes at, i was able to do the memorial arena all difficulties with her solo, so id say yes. also im guessing ur also a story oriented player like me so i understand where the hesitance was coming from, i didnt know i could choose in between the missions i had to do for LV so my goal was to do the 4 and then do the 5th one but i got her before getting to lvl 50, if you dont mind watching ch11 like when the time is right id reccomend doing it now, or if you dont want to then wait for a few days until 1 day is left and if ur not at lvl 50 by then which shouldnt be a problem to, and you want LV bad then i think you should do the ch11 quest and just skip everything, because i skipped everything and there wasnt a thing that spoiled me or my experience because 1. i didnt even know the characters and 2, there werent many cutscenes, i think it was 1-2. so idk hope this helps

i'm only not doing chapter 11 because youtube playthroughs wait for the char to finish talking before going to the next line, i dont do that, as soon as i finish reading i go to the next line and it feels really annoying watching a yt playthrough cuz of that

also for my account shes op bc my main dps before her was Seele, swallowtail phantasm, and before i switched accs it was HoR who was storng but LV feels so much stonger, because some enemies havent spawned and shes done with them, but i do find her awkard to play sometimes ( considering i mostly solo with her lol) anyway if full edison coupled with a 4 star craftable from the foundry that is nowhere neah her bis i think shes cool. anyway just out of personal curiosity where are u in pt 1

F1: 10 per entry ticket + 0.6000 per 1 TSP
F2: 12 per entry ticket + 0.6333 per 1 TSP
F3: 12 per entry ticket + 0.6428 per 1 TSP
F4: 13 per entry ticket + 0.6500 per 1 TSP
F5: 15 per entry ticket + 0.6666 per 1 TSP
F6: 15 per entry ticket + 0.6700 per 1 TSP - (best efficiency!)
F7: 15 per entry ticket + 0.6600 per 1 TSP

If not using Time Swirl Passes (TSP), F5/6/7 are equal in efficiency.

The only other thing i can add after what others already mentioned is she gives slight ARI off of WAs

i don't expect her to be too game changing but still an improvement nonetheless for elemental dps

It's a step towards SS too if they ever give her for free again. The ARI refund there can better enable a second SO.

yeah i'm not sure if knowing a general bruteforce option will be very meaningful.

There may still be content you lack the best dps option and will still have to use a secondary option, but you're still going to consider context from it.

otherwise if you really need some kind of answer, when in doubt consider the latest releases for dps i suppose. But also try out numerous options rather than one if something isn't obvious

1 - Grips of Tai Xuan (gloves, cope glove weapon and ice gene limit).
2 - Cleaver/Judgement of Shamash (guns/greatsword, need both to sync for +10 attack and fire gene limit).
3 - Jizo Mitama (katana, phys gene limit attached to it).
4 - Star of Eden (cannon, has no attached gene limit it just exists).

Generally i don't think mobile is that different in logic from pc but some setting options might not be the most intuitively translated.

The main source to be mindful of is annually as of late (no guarantee as of this year) they give out a box containing a selection of 3 past premium outfits or the pink cards.
