Keep in mind RC ult also restores your meter in addition to debuffing. So after the rotation where you rc ult'd, you can skip RC's QTE again as well. Tbh this is more advanced and some shorter runs can opt to turn off RC's QTE completely and rely completely on initial bar and the refill from ult.

Usually RC's qte being on makes it hard to avoid if your rotation is more static and for longer runs your ult ofc cannot be sustained.

can you access bridge > ai chan phone > support (opens next in your default browser) > self search > crystal log. It won't tell you what you spent it on but you can try tracking current crystals and income of crystals to see if you can deduce 495 somewhere

Ultimately what's done is done if so. Be more careful about crystal only purchases in the blueprint menu in the future

Overall, you should only affix Best-in-Slot Stigmata and generally aim to get as much Atk as possible on your DPS Valkyries first. Ensure that the Battlesuit/Weapon Type matches what the Affix line demands otherwise the Atk will not apply.

Remember only Physical Damage can crit, and "crit ratios" do not apply to Honkai Impact 3rd.

As kanbaeru said, locks become a bottle neck late game that you may not get enough of, and affixes in general are an endless sink.

While early on when you're so lacking, it's arguable to go for one line of decent stats (for some this can be 15 atk)...

keep in mind early on you may still be

• missing teammates, gears, levels, etc
• you can be playing suboptimally
• content early on may just be too weak and you're just overkilling as is

so i would argue that any you spend now may be wasted in the long run when you don't actually need it. HLE may see less use by the time you do reach a point where such affixes are needed on someone else

my viewpoint is more conservative and extreme though. Again it's arguably fine to spend a little of just NCCs. I highly recommend not spending locks (stabilizers) though

if you were looking to get them inevitably then no real harm done in the long run, yeah

iirc these were past event freebies very early in the game so that's why they cost crystals now

and over the entire course of the game i never seen them become more available in less costing means

even if you weren't looking to buy it, it's only less than 2 rolls. It's chunky but still minor in the grand scheme of things too

i understand the idea of completing that mini set but do try to assess if you'll actually use it or not. For the most part dorm decorating isn't really a feature of focus in the game overall

you do want to buy furniture with the honkai blocks to bring up your comfort (for dorm errand onigiri regen) but the actual process of optimizing this will leave your inventory quite messy full of dupes

i think i recall you asking info about this before but if not i can bring up some faqs

In part 2, most characters are pretty balanced against each other

So the determining factor is how often abysses that favor them will run, and new releases get more shill

If you have lots of crystals (like if you’re whaling) you can consider account specific backpulls, but F2Ps have enough to get most new releases but not extra on top of that

Make sure to pull weapons if you’re getting valkyries tho, a valk without their wep can be pretty bricked

Do you have HoHe P2 gears? Cuz if you have P2 gears, you should be looking on the DK version/astral ring version. That one is the p1 version.

If you have sufficient SP (125 minimum) ,
Weapon Active -> Ultimate -> Special Weapon Active -> Evade -> hold atk -> Special Weapon Active -> Finisher Ult

If you have no SP, do charge atks with some weapon active, in order to shorten the cooldown of ult, and have SP to do another rotation.

On the other hand, if you have P2 HoHe, it's kinda similar too:

Weapon -> Astral Ring -> Press Shadow 1 -> Hold Atk -> Special Weap Act -> Shadow 2 -> Hold atk -> Special Weap act -> finisher.

If no Astral Ring Energy yet, just do also charge atks with weap active, to have your AR regenerate, then, repeat the rotation.

How far should I go with buying TA fragments from the asterite store? Someone here suggested to build her for my third team for MA. I plan on pulling for every new battlesuit but I started during HLE banner so I only have one real character.

TA at S is usually fine. SS is possible if you use her a lot but youd only use her in memorial arena

Your priority for asterite should be VBM ranks

and honestly I'd also prioritize RC ranks over TA since RC has some abyss use for you

Yup, I've been buying max frags for VBM every week! I just maxed Subzero Sales on RC and I couldn't find anything else in her kit to help at SS besides some SP generation. I've been using a poorly geared HoV for MA. Is it not worth going for more TA frags or should I just try to unlock other characters for dorm (or do you still suggest more RC frags)?

I'm still learning game mechanics so I could be wrong, but HLE doesn't need RC's SP generation does she? Maybe when I pair RC with HoHE?

I would be unlocking other battlesuits, you can get dorm levels from them and unlock them in the Elysian realm for crystals

You can also look into spending Asterite on ancient legacy in the war treasury shop (resets monthly) or on toruses (resets every patch) / sc metal (resets weekly) in the Asterite shop for pri arm upgrades

Though I’d make sure not to go overboard on them if I had plenty

Or you could if you had a lot a lot of asterite get Valkyrie blastmetal weapon synergies but that’s expensive enough for a small enough gain

But these are very minor bonuses to offer, those aren’t important game nodes

that's a very fine enough reason to not restart

we're lamenting the loss of crystals from the beginner event but all that really means is you'll spend more time gaining those crystals before you have enough to reliably pull for a new valk with her weapon. So don't stress over it.

Otherwise yeah you can check the other region in the global client and see if that still has starter's manual. Only do this if you really decide to switch though. The moment you change it on the elevator screen, the manual will start even if you don't enter the game(?). Lots of players started an account unintentionally this way and "mysteriously" can't find it later.

Considering your current account already has HoHE dkey, it's a bit debatable if you should server swap tbh. Meta wise you definitely should and forget about hohe altogether. However, if you like elysia and have a more casual approach to the game, then I actually think you can just stick with the current account.

i kinda see where you're coming from if this is the introduction to the game, but it also may show new players the rough luck HI3 may have if they have to reroll alot (and some definitely weren't fortunate) which actually may stress the opposite.

For the most part restart/rerolling is just a one time thing. Eventually or around this point it can be important to stress how long term HI3 can be and how statistics pan out.

meta wise overall i don't recommend it.

Pros:

• It's a divine key. You're getting +10 atk to all valks from tuning it into your dorm dkey menu
  • this is notable at high tiers of the game, although the whale norm is to get the weapon three times for +20 atk total. Definitely not to be considered for f2p.
• You're only paying the crystal cost of a weapon to get a functional astral ring valk

HoFi has various roles with her new weapon

• RoO Main dps (needs HoTr and HoO who are also reserve only currently)
• Can support and enable HoO main dps
• Can support RoO leaders, but the difference of this compared to VBm may not be great depending on the fight. VBm mainly pales if you need do significant stuff outside of outburst loosely speaking.
• Can support World Star leaders. one of the better support options since she doesn't need to hit anything to do so (can still be viable as she loses 10% team tdm otherwise). However gaining her stellar drain can be awkward because of this.

Cons:

• those 60 rolls can go towards something else with arguably more longevity and uses
• the added cost of fulfilling all those roles above is impractical
• her lead dps and HoO's dps use cases will be more contested next patch with the new rita
• as a lead dps, her ranks do matter and meta standards/other veteran players will have her at much higher ranks.
• VBm can be viable instead for RoO support
• was a WS support, there are many other viable competitive options nowadays

if you're very focused on her, and want to use her for more modern teams, and aren't concerned with compromising future roll priorities, then you can consider it. Otherwise again it's not recommended generally

HoR and HoT's weapons certainly are more new but are still completely out of date at this point

HoT's 7 thunders weapon does have niche high end use for HoO as a user in certain rare strats but largely not relevant overall

if you ever run into a specific scenario you care about where +10 atk might change something for a significant outcome, then you can consider opening it preemptively

but as it sounds, +10 atk isn't much on its own

it can be more meaningful early on when you don't have much, in a longer fight where it has more room to be appreciated, or collectively with other small attack sources where it adds up to something significant

but overall until you identify such scenarios, being conservative long term with more flexibility is the default answer

Memorial arena really isn't an important purpose. Ranking higher gives you only more AW (and emblems that nobody actually equips for effects/stats) which are also for out of date valks. The primary gains from MA are 100 crystals and 1 source prism from simply beating enough fights.

You can get 20 more crystals per SSS fight too for a total of 140 crystals a week.

For most meta intents and purposes, we focus on abyss for higher crystal income

by the time a valk becomes available in paid battle pass, they're pretty niche at that point.

by the time they become available in reserve works, even less so.

at that point investing a full valk's worth of resources even if it's not crystals only for a handful of remaining meta use cases really is questionable, especially at that point you're also behind on the competition

i'm not going to say a hard no to anything, but you're really going to need to know details to make a case to justify it.

or you can just do it for fun and not care about meta.

even in the case of excess materials the game has many ways to convert inefficiently for actual useful things

you could try to stellar outburst earlier, maybe by AR farming with evades in the intro or by attacking some of the ice pillars as they fall

or you could save it and go all in on the next cycle, tho that score would be awkward

Data suggests that it does exist (starting at 76 pulls), but it is not confirmed anywhere by HoYoverse so we can't be 100% sure.

Averages and Worst Cases (Valkyrie + All Gear)

• Part 1 vs 2 Average - 140 Pulls (40k ) vs 78 pulls (22k )
• Part 2 "Soft pity valk" + average wep 106 pulls (30k )
• Worst Case:
• Part 1 vs 2 Max - 300 pulls (84k ) vs 150 pulls (42k )

one reason for this may be due to a new mechanic she introduces. Iirc something called surplus + vortex (two separate terms) that involves overflowing your astral ring intensity (outburst energy)

How were part 1 averages/max that high compared to now in part 2? What changed?

because of the amount of pulls u need for p1 vs p2
p2 needs less for hardpity as shown in the guide

stigs became craftable in foundry while weapons became guaranteed in 60 pulls is the main thing

there's a few more minor tidbits like the hard pity for valk being reduced

but keep in mind of other factors back in part 1 that are very different from part 2 now
