If you are a f2p meta player, you should not pull gacha AstralOps - only players who are retaining or trying to retain Nirvana should consider it if they have the funds (unlikely for f2p players).

Reasons:

• Dreamseeker is good enough despite being free.
• Too expensive, especially if they need SS (~20-30k).
  • AstralOps have the same cost as a gacha weapon, therefore pulling one may result in being unable to afford a Valkyrie's weapon down the line (for meta players, this means skipping said Valkyrie entirely).
• The damage and score increase they provide in Redlotus and below is often minimal and not needed to retain.

that's more subjective and up to you on what kind of player you are. I can only say to give it a try and if you really have to skip through it, maybe #📚honkai-lore can give ways to summarize or find other retellings of the story on other platforms

the only actual ingame mechanics/resource i can comment on is that you can skip to part 2 story at cap 30. You are recommended to do so only briefly to get Valk blastmetal card (coralie) and her signature weapon. The story up to that point is very minimal on stuff in part 1 so you can dip in and get out afterwards.

The story eventually does emphasize older stuff later on but i cannot comment on this much more.

No not really, p2 Stigmatas are made in a way that only one battlesuit can actually utilize them since 90% of the buffs are locked behind a line that's "if equipped by x battlesuit". They're still fine if you need cope stigs for stress tests for example but then you can just use the Stigmata from your HLE and give them back to her once you're done with the stress test

you do have enough supports for world star. Some of the more notable ones too. Do you understand the idea of tags?

but even then, HI3 is the kind of game where the combination of different aspects in a situation will greatly emphasize one particular dps

and world star dps is one of these factors

so just having that alone doesn't really justify it

like you're not going to expect horb to do especially well against resonance weather guaymas (an SD enemy). Senadina dps (also world star but actually has SD typing) is pretty common and the actual dominant option.

Maybe if you find a bracket full of lazy or lacking players, and with HLE and FWS support you can get away with it.

strictly speaking there's no such thing

because abyss scenarios changes and you need different things for different matchups

so this current symphony weather wants HLE dps but with different element supports

so FDD and PAWS would be best

but for another weather and matchup that favors HLE you may have to use something else as best

but also in the context of RL and below, you might not need to focus on best. PAWS and FDD can still be good enough simply because they can match HLE's ring type

and the reason why i say this is because you're already broke as you said. A f2p player getting all crystals they can on average luck cannot get everything

so you have to skip certain releases. You'll miss out on situations emphasizing their dps, but support wise you can often use something else that's still close

(there can be some weathers that emphasizes one particular support, like HoHE vs Tank's weak point, but these are more niche)

• as far as symbiosis tags goes, you have plenty of other options to use.
• again you already have plenty of domain resonance tags too.
  So HoRb as a support currently does not stand out to me for your account. She's lackluster in general for this purpose.

So to me you're paying 60 pulls at worst for mainly for a dps. HoRb dps will mainly handle weathers that want dominance (summons), physical, and/or world star.

• World star is the first and oldest ring type.
  • So first of all I really don't expect it to come up often unless there's a new release, and at that point you may pick up that one instead.
  • Second of all, there's other options that may overshadow horb at that point
• for actual physical weathers you have JDS. You might also consider an LoA leader that focuses much more on swapping JDS for her personal damage.
• Dominance weather is prob the biggest consideration. We do have shadow knight and tribunal with this weather this patch to emphasize this but that's natural for a new release. Specific top use cases are expected to drop as time goes on.
• however for dps cases, you only have HoRb at S rank. Past events have allowed players to reached S2 at this point

if you actually already got HLE and had the crystals to spare, and really wanted to cover those niches, then i guess i wouldn't be opposed

but overall i really have difficulty considering it

sushang can still serve as hitcount/bleed support while you use a different dps

to be clear i do not recommend spending actual crystals or cards. just free carnival only pulls

anyway not having phys either kinda helps it more. The main justification is that you can get this for cheap at 60 pulls.

It's just that I have a very hard time imagining HoRb having an easy time in a physical situation she wasn't made for. Alot the existing phys valks have gimmicks (so JDS vs physical alien guard), and WS doesn't really have other phys valks to support it so that more of the team's uptime is taking advantage of the weather (as opposed to LoA that has plenty of phys options to cycle through).

physical ||ot|| having imaginary enemies at the start that gives RS an advantage (granted i somehow retained this with PS dps, but that was an extreme outlier)

i'm not going to say it's impossible to t2 retain a few cases with horb and if you're ever aiming high enough, the +10 atk from the dkey is very appreciated. it's more up to you at this point.

It's just it feels like HoRb is being a quick patch to your account in a not very strong way, and i rather invest into something more future proof either in strength or in unique properties. Sometimes these can be hard to assess though. I might be wrong about horb.
