Anyway, if you really wanna run HoS DPS ig you can farm up TA and VBm from the Asterite Shop (VBm has her sig weap available in Part 2 story btw) and run them as supps for her

VBm's sig stigs are craftable too, and she'll be very nice to have as a filler in Part 2 teams in general

Stamps are used for ranking up a battlesuit. Each stamp is 10 fragments but only works if you already have the battlesuit

Typically getting a second copy of an S rank will increase it to S2, which will moderately increase stats and unlock a new skill or two

And then each copy you pull does more of the same. It’s rare to need more than S rank of a new release but for older battlesuits where stamps become available over time sometimes higher ranks become the default

For instance in a HoHE DPS cycle most people using HoHE in RL will have S2 if not SS+

You could toss some pulls at the banner and hope you get lucky, since if you don't it's pity for HLE wep and in the mean time it can save you some mats making her stigs, or you can just save, depending

vita may have breach and large support coverage but that wideness is often very redundant with other things that you may already have, or will get down the line, and also not always the best. Most importantly she doesn't support the latest ring type

if you're considering her from carnival free pulls then that would be a different and more viable discussion but your statement about ely implies you're considering this with crystals

from what i remember of your roster, you already have FWS and TFM so that leaves vita or PS. I actually would lean towards PS since she covers the bleed niche that is pretty unique for now

anyway i don't recommend your current considerations but maybe you can elaborate/discuss more @rose holly

In the event that I find myself with a 4/4 guarantee and either get ely giga early or get a valk on free pulls and need to pull weapon, I wanted to hear your opinion about pulling a character simply for coverage

I don't feel comfortable using hohe for basically every single one of my teams when she is pretty lackluster as a support when compared to other, even mediocre options

I have gotten conflicting informations from multiple sources: can a 4/4 be guaranteed per patch or not?

If we'd assume that you get Ely early but do not get a character from your|| free carnival pulls|| I'd lean towards the more conservative side and just safe put that also depends on how many crystals you actually have left, if you do get someone from the ||free 20x carnival pulls || I wouldn't be too opposed to get || PS|| weapon for example since it would allow you to play her as a DPS and it would also benefit her support role to some degree but in the end all of this advice could change depending on how much crystals you have when you're done with pulling Ely, I also want to address HoHe support a bit, while she is considering a more mediocre option in LoA and WoD she's pretty good in GoI so far and considering that|| HLE is ice || she might find some BiS use there

I'm saying not even if you get lucky. If you get lucky then those crystals saved can be used further down the line for future valks you would've otherwise missed out on (f2ps are expected to skip every now and then)

Coverage simply happens with time as you pull more and more new releases. It's not something you actively backpull for. Keep in mind part of the equation isn't just about situations it's used in, but also how long it will last. Vita's already almost a year old by now so her coverage despite how wide it may appear is arguably more lacking than a new release now.

While HoHE's lackluster properties are concerning, trying to hastily fix it with a backpull is arguably more reckless. It's entirely possible that newer releases may not be able to replace her in the near future, but I'm afraid if you want to be budget efficient, you'll have to make do the best you can.

If you want to gamble and understand the risks/tradeoffs then sure up to you. However HI3 really isn't a game where that sort of approach is necessary due to the higher income, lower cost per valk, longer patches, foresight etc.

• Not trying to say f2ps can afford everything now. All these factors are balanced out by the more frequent S rank releases, and also dkey releases, and gacha ops depending on your interests.

even if you are spending actual money none of these concepts change. While certainly it can buffer risky decisions more, it also can mean you have more room to work with and can cover more widely or even higher.

For supporting GoI, look for the symbiosis tag.

She is old nowadays so it is generally not reccomended to invest into them as her coverwge has died down compared to her release.

Otherwise the only thing that matters is your place in the bracket

The higher the score, the higher you get and you can avoid losing trophies (or even gain them)

So if you can you typically want to be in the top 3 in your bracket and definitely try for the top 10

You’ll want to finish all four stages usually and then see how your score matches up to your bracket, and then if you’re not placing as well as you like you can try refining your run on the last stage to get more points

We normally would encourage you to save up for 8.5 if you didnt get paws rather early in your pulls since new releases take priority, don't worry about it too much though beginners income should be enough to still get the 8.5 valk + her weapon

Free Stigmata Boxes

Hey, Captain!

In Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2, most new Valkyries will have a Stigma Option box given for free! But when should you use them?

If you are pulling for the corresponding weapon, you should open the box AFTER you have 2 different pieces of that stigmata set already. These stigma boxes are optimally used to finish a stigmata set. This also applies to Part 1 stigmata boxes, if you have any.

If you...

• Obtained the weapon before you got at least 2 stigmata set pieces, stop pulling! Open the box to get the best piece and then craft any missing stigmata (you can find these in Foundry).
• Already got the full stigmata set before the weapon (there are high chances that you did), keep the box as a collectible or open it, select a random stigma and salvage it for Source Prism.
• Are skipping or have skipped the corresponding weapon but want to get the Stigmata set, open the box first for the best piece then craft the other two via Foundry.
• Skipped the weapon and do not intend to craft the Stigmata set, you have no urgent reason to open the box, so keep it.

Regarding Bronya: N-EX, you can open the box once you own T or B and use it to finish TB. M is not BiS on SW.

Hello I haven’t started playing Honkai impact yet but I’m a big fan of hsr and Genshin impact was wondering if this game is worth getting into

Depends on what you think makes a game worth getting into. It's pretty different gameplay wise from say HSR, but it does have some characters you'll recognize (Sparkle, alt versions of eg acheron/raiden shogun, phainon, cyrene, yae miko) and a good story. Fairly f2p friendly but on the other hand that means getting caught up will take a lot of time irl. Obviously everyone here is pretty selected for playing it

the story is stage wise for the most part, some of it has a mini overworld that you can explore
you can freely play as a competitive player, half or very casual
the game does have a lot to do but its fine if you do a bit everyday
there's a lot of gimmicks, types, etc, if you wanna be competitive you need to know most of them which you'll achieve overtime
a lot of old characters are farmable if you wanna collect them but meta wise the older the character the less relevant they are
there are also varying event gameplays and as you progress you won't need to spend too much time in the game to do dailies

this is barely scratching the surface but this can help you decide

but when you enter stellar outburst their own ari skill refreshes and lets them generate more ari as they would before stellar outburst (one time per outburst)

if you have a stellar shift ready, you cannot QTE a valk normally. So it can be viable to get their shifts over with so you can QTE them regularly for heavenly link again.

Outburst works differently for LoA. You can think of pressing the big button as giving all your valks "shifts" to use. Outburst effects are active when using a shift. The stellar drains are refreshed for LoA after the initial big button although some valks kinda just trigger them during their shift animation? idr

there can be very weird situations to use a shift or not. Sometimes you want to do it for animation purposes (slows down MA timer) or not (if you're waiting on a boss, then the animation may pause them and therefore delay the overall fight)
