ram's response was enough to answer your question but there's a few further layers of details you may be interested in knowing

ignite and bleed can refer to various different forms of them

• a status applied to the enemy. This can notable for enabling certain effects (e.g. DXY boss takes more damage when affected by either of these. Pardofelis passive gives your team more total damage when attacking a frozen enemy)
  • the ignite and bleed status also deals damage over time. Bleed DoT is physical and ignite DoT is fire. For most intents and purposes this is just a minor benefit that we don't really pay attention to. (you can use it to observe how enemies gain damage reduction as they use certain skill or attack animations lol. It's also a decent source of PS personal damage)
• trauma: this is what you inflict onto the enemy. Getting enough trauma is what enables the status.
  • Different methods can inflict different amounts of a particular kind of trauma
  • Different enemies have different amounts of trauma they need before they are affected.
  • Generally an enemy needs more trauma if you want to inflict a same status a second time and beyond too.
  • Some enemies or stages will have dedicated trauma bars that needs to be filled to enable certain gimmicks (e.g. vill-v boss for bleed)
• damage type. Bleed or ignite can be its own damage property just like fire, lightning, ice, phys, or even melee and ranged. While often times you may see bleed coupled with physical, and ignite coupled with fire, they're technically separate things. There are effects that specifically benefits only bleed (aladdin stigs) or ignite. From my understanding these effects operate on a different category of multipliers making them relatively powerful.

If i want to get nitpicky and technical, while we often refer to fire as a damage type, i think it can be a valk property too (HoHE leader skill gives sp only to ice dmg dealers. I doubt SSS CH qualifies)

• late post one hour edit: it also lets you use astral ops. You can swap to them in the part 2 overworld bridge area with the tiny bottom right button near the jump button.

you'll also need to change a setting somewhere in profile (top left of main menu) > bridge (bottom left) > select the part 2 bridge so it doesn't use the part 1 bridge (can change this anytime)

beware a part 2 bridge is more demanding on your device

she will most likely also get an ascension banner, but that is mainly a whale banner with lower odds and you guessed it, another banner where pity doesnt carry over and you need to be able to garuntee or else you lose those crystals

Typically if you’re looking at a boss and going “oh huh I’m overkilling” then you go and swap your support for someone weaker but faster and if you’re getting damage gated (you finish a cycle and they’re still alive) you go swap your fast supports for someone stronger

Unless you need a mechanic for a specific boss, like how PS supports paws on lightning clock with HC

Or HoHe supports Badum on Tank with aiming

If you’re not sure what’s best for a specific boss you can always try multiple options and see how they work out, or look at refs tho their damage might be different than yours from ranks or dkeys or aops or affixes

You can also look at weather effects and type advantage and find a support that’s less disadvantaged there, eg against a mech enemy PS support does less damage, tho it varies how much support damage matters for a run

Reverist Calico Jade Knight VBM should be fine if you don’t need VBM to support FDD

If you do then you can either grab someone like Kira from the asterite shop for third or cope with like TA third

Especially if you have RC’s weapon tho it should still work without it

You could try clearing without VBM in training mode and then see how much she adds to FDD team and how much she adds to ice team and then put her wherever the difference is bigger

You could try using a physical team on someone else to free up VBM (Like HoV TA SI), you could try buying someone from a shop (There’s a number of options in WT and Shigure Kira in asterite shop), or you could just have some random character with support stigmas like Ogier or Roald Amusen

And then just never bring them into the field

Boltstorm DPS is pretty cursed without a weapon or stigmas but it’s possible you could get somewhere with that too

If you can’t clear it with that you can’t clear it. It might be a stigma or rotation issue but it’s plausible it isn’t, masters MA can be reasonably difficult. If TA VBm can clear then it’s just a question of what to use for Hellmaru

Like I said you could try coping with RC + JK + Random with support stigs, and if that doesn’t work but it’s close you could buy someone like Shigure Kira or Azure Empyrea or even HoR as a cope third member.

Or try the physical team on Hellmaru

Or try Boltstorm supported by Jade Knight and RC. A lot of early game MA is about trying things to see if they work because you don’t really have good team options

• not needing actions to buff the team. her 3pc stig effect is passive
• ult force swaps, reduces ult cooldown, and restores sp
  • can be notable for imaginary content so your img dps can ult more to deal more core damage, bypassing the shell
• specializes against quantum with collapse layer reduction and execution at 10%

but i mean she still can be dps, and i have heard her numbers as GoI support being closer to top options. She still deals psy damage against mech enemies (tank) to appreciate. She still is a budget pick up with a divine key (global +10 atk)

and if you lack the alternatives, she still functions ok as a LoA support

oh and for MA, she gives starting sp to ice teams. Pretty commonly appreciated for a lazy thelema 0s clear at SS

anyway support cases are not always obvious and sometimes differences can be small or subtle that some supports can be very case by case

the rewards from doing well in MA aren't notable

ranking higher in MA only gives you ancient willpower which is WT currency for unused and outdated valks

getting them quicker and sooner is nice but not a priority if it's unreasonable

especially for a small roster of a developing account

MA coverage kinda just happens as you're developing your account and expanding your roster with time

unless you specifically enjoy the format of MA, don't be misled by it being one of the major gamemodes

the crystals from it are only from

• simply clearing enough fights for challenge rewards. Time to clear does not matter. This is the most major part of your rewards and still is only 100 crystals weekly
• clearing SSS fights once you're in exalted tier. 20 crystals per fight. There's 2 SSS bosses per week so that's 40 weekly total. Simply clearing without buffed mode will get you this but you may have to turn on buffed mode if you're not developed enough yet. I do not know the actual time limit to get the crystals within buffed mode

Like my roster is still a little lacking, but I am typically only 2-3 thousand points away from cap on all three bosses combined

And that’s enough to hit 35% but not close to 17%

The rewards are not only small but they’re also pretty hard to get at, so there’s no point in going overboard chasing them

Overall, you should only affix Best-in-Slot Stigmata and generally aim to get as much Atk as possible on your DPS Valkyries first. Ensure that the Battlesuit/Weapon Type matches what the Affix line demands otherwise the Atk will not apply.

Remember only Physical Damage can crit, and "crit ratios" do not apply to Honkai Impact 3rd.

not a huge amount if you're still early in the game and more gapped by gear and valks

and by projected i mean you already counted for maintenance crystals, tutorial crystals, etc. Stuff you get in that time.

but in most cases, you really can just get your ER crystals over time as you accumulate AW/AL to unlock WT valks normally. No need to box to rush for it strictly speaking

if you still want to rush it even after knowing all that, feel free. The final outcome of any of these are arguably minor in the end. It's just the affix option is rare/less common and there can be high end cases where the 1-10 stats you can more realistically achieve from it do matter.

it's also realistic that people trying to maximize will end up never finding an opportunity to use such things

There actually are multiple ways to control the flow of time in HI3, but not all of them have the same properties. And this is what they are and what they affect:

• Time Slow: slows down enemies' movements
• Time Lock: stops enemies from moving and triggers Time-Slow-related QTEs
• Time Fracture: slows down enemies and stage timers in MA, can be stacked*
• Sus ani (short for suspended animation, not an official name): slows down the MA timer by more than Time Fracture, and usually is shorter in duration. Some examples of this are: JDS's CA's, RS's Stellar Shift and Badum's enhanced WA
• Time-frozen Domain: stops all timers (including Abyss and MA) and enemies' movements
• Absolute Time Fracture: the term used for HoFi's hold evade, functions the same as Time-frozen Domain

i feel you're just confused because you don't understand the boss mechanic?

At the start of the fight the boss places a death timer on you. If that timer reaches zero the valk dies. Each valk has their own timer.

Triggering time fracture restores that timer to delay that death. (adding to something death related sounds bad so i imagine that's where some of the confusion is)

But this gets ignored because in virtually all cases, the fight should end before that timer even gets close to that point.

Edit: As far as PAWS is concerned, turning on her tf does relate to the mechanic but overall is prob meaningless for the score.

The actual consideration of the tf skill for this case is depending on if the boss is affected by it and if so, do you want the boss to be slowed down or not (does this slow down cause some attack sequence/patterns to become more favorable or non favorable to your own attacks sequence? If husk were to do the disappearing attack early, would turning this on help so that your attacks don't happen at that blink and whiff? Or maybe they were already fine and turning it on will cause the boss to be delayed such that your attacks will start to whiff there?)

Overall I feel i'm largely repeating what people earlier said but the flow of the conversations earlier didn't seem to explain things clearly so i hope that make things more clear.

but in practical terms you don't always need max stats to retain or do what you want to do either

you can test turning them on/off (click the icon that's already on even if you already paid for the duration) or clicking to the less relevant effect to see for yourself how much of a difference it's making

earlier on in the game when you don't have much other enhancing effects, you may observe a relatively greater effect, but it may also not matter when you're already overkilling or underperforming due to lack of greater factors (team/gear/execution)

conservatively speaking, i recommend giving it a try once or twice, then from there not paying for it unless you really have to. Coins are still a resource you can run out on after all

There may be gacha banners for them during a spending event which you can spend crystals on, and those crystals spent will count towards spending event milestones, but you're more recommended to spend your crystals on other things or just save them.

If you are a f2p meta player, you should not pull gacha AstralOps - only players who are retaining or trying to retain Nirvana should consider it if they have the funds (unlikely for f2p players).

Reasons:

• Dreamseeker is good enough despite being free.
• Too expensive, especially if they need SS (~20-30k).
  • AstralOps have the same cost as a gacha weapon, therefore pulling one may result in being unable to afford a Valkyrie's weapon down the line (for meta players, this means skipping said Valkyrie entirely).
• The damage and score increase they provide in Redlotus and below is often minimal and not needed to retain.

SS chenxue is a bit fair to consider if you're gunning for very specific nirvana cycles. But you better know the details on this if you really want to mileage from it (what the improvements of S>SS are and what upcoming weathers this actually makes a difference on)

in rare cases S2 of some valks can be notable too but I don't think I could ever really recommend going out of your way for this as meta f2p

and bear in mind if you are f2p, you already cannot afford every new valk and weapon as is. It's a trade off at that point if you choose to spend crystals anywhere else, and you should expect that to affect you on a future banner down the line

From a meta perspective you should make a new account, Senadina has only a handful of use cases left and you don't have any of the battlesuits she needs on those teams. If you're attached to the account you can stick with it but you should expect a new account to unbrick faster

in neither case is it unsalvagable tho

if you do want to stick with it it just means you'll have to save for longer

If you're making a new account you can expect to be in RL by 8.7, maybe 8.6 if you reroll tho this isnt the best time for it. For the old account it depends on your crystal count and one time sources but I would expect at least an extra patch, maybe 2, to catch up to RL
