as you can see each piece has its own unique effect, and there is a bonus for using it on it's signature valkyrie

then if you get 2 pieces of the set or 3 pieces of the set, you get even more bonuses tied to the valk

now, while not as important for beginners, in the future you will want to take into consideration stigmata affixes (similar to the resonance slots in pgr if you remember)

these affixes will be smaller increases compared to the actual effects of the stigmata, but will be helpful in the long run

yes, forge the normal wep into the pri-arm whenever you can. Upgrading the pri-arm from lvl 50 to 65 I would only do if you know you will need the damage and higher buff multipliers

reason is that torus and metal sc are a very limited resource. you will lack it at some point if you just upgrade everything without thinking twice

but normally, you will get enough materials to fully upgrade 1 pri-arm per patch
