Hi, Captain!

Ai-chan recommends that you keep the box until you have a use case for one of the weapons. Both Purana Phantasma and Nocturnal Stealth have their uses. Key of Ego is generally not recommended.

If you insist on opening the box immediately, Purana is likely to have more usage long-term due to the team tdm buff and RC being able to quickly debuff enemies which may be useful for SS MA.

For the ELF box refer to the pins -> ELF selection box

Leave the material boxes as is till you need em, for coins can just use em unles you wanna just hoard in your inventory (some people like to do it since you don't get those anymore)

For the 2 valkyrie boxes you can take your pick on whoever you want since all of the units in the 2 boxes you have are farmable from war treasury aka you'll get them all eventually

Leave the stigmata boxes as is, those are for either emergency prisms or to complete the stigmata set after you're done pulling.

As for the 2 weapon boxes, from a surface glance both selection of weapons are useless so just keep it. The red box can come in handy to salvage the weapon for weapon resonance (for the exchange shop). And unless the box on the top left has a divine key it's pretty much the same evaluation (though for this can pick a weapon for an old favourite valk)

you're mostly right here but keep in mind a non-upgraded AE foundry weapon can be trashed for a honkai shard and costs 150 AE imags, which is the same cost for a honkai shard in the first place.

So as long as you don't upgrade it (at most go to lv 35/35), it's pretty much equal (sure there's negligible exp and coin cost) in value and you can use them as temporary stat sticks

or pick them up to increase your collection count (which has milestones for minor crystals)

the way you brought up expa card here makes it sound like they're being treated as bonus rolls for you to spend whimsically on but you really should be treating them just like crystals

keep in mind late game in honkai (exalted abyss) expands to cycling across many different scenarios. There's no such thing as a top 5 general. The game maintains relevancy across a wide cast because there's many situations to favor each of them.

Loosely speaking as a developing player you should more prioritize longevity and relevancy of your pulls. If you're f2p then your crystal budget is restricted too. As a result the general advice is to focus on new patch releases rather than picking up an older release that already has some of her relevancy and longevity transpired. There can be exceptions to consider as teammate mentioned but just giving you the general idea.

Im not too sure about the first question maybe get someone else's opinion on that but the second one is certainly something I can answer. Your team would prob be PS/LP/fws try out fws and LP DPS fws worked better for me but this can change dependent on the account

Just make sure to always have bleed applied to trigger that weather bonus

to be fair in most runs you'd have coralie's qte turned off as well
some runs prefer starting with coralie ult too (only time you'd ever use coralie ult due to honkai time bullshit)

so mostly speaking your run would look more like hofi weapon skill and coralie weapon skill buffs set up > vita qte > enter planet quacker form > skill > basic attack sequence > hold atk > ult > refill your bar to get another hold atk > re-apply buffs with hofi and coralie

you'd fit in stellar outburst where needed depending on the boss and run itself
