Started 2 weeks ago and wondering if Growth Regimen tasks are retroactive? For phases 6+
I’m planning on taking my time playing the story and I see quite a few phases, you need to completed specific chapters to complete
Wondering if tasks for Elysian Realm, Universal Mirage, APHO will be auto completed when I reach the corresponding phases?
Am at captain level 60 now so pretty sure I’ll have done most of the tasks by the time I clear phase 5 (Part 2 chapter 1 needed to clear while I’m on Part 1 chapter 10) and reach the following ones

I don't fully remember the tasks but if the tasks are a 1 time thing such as story stages the yes even if you aren't in the phase for it, you will have it completed

Repeatable objectives such as adventure tasks, abyss or ma will require you to be on that phase

As for the p2 task, p1 story is very long, and p2 chapters 1-3 are disconnected from the story of p1 so I'd recommend that you at least progress to the mission in p2 for your manual (you also unlock coralie + her weapon at that time)

You can always check for a summary or watch playthrough of the missions you did if you are interested in the story and forgot when you get back to p2 later

So, I did the story bits that were required for phase 5, and it seems like even the repeatable tasks like Abyss or adventure tasks counted for the next phases even though I wasn’t yet on the phase
Went up to phase 6 and 7 and each time those tasks were complete for me
Like in phase 7 requiring to clear Realms of Battle or Adventure tasks
Thought I’d be timegated by having to wait for those but doesn’t seem like it
Managed to reach phase 8 by doing the 1-2 tasks I had left over

but tell me more what are you playing the game for. The decision to restart is more of a meta one

and the idea is you can either reroll or at the very least have more early crystals to work with from redoing all the perm stuff along with beginner event to jump start better than an existing account into newer content

but again it's optional. it's a personal choice. it's not for everyone

• HoS dps with her current gear

  • SI on cez 3pc
  • Maybe Terminal Aide (prometheus) with holmes TB, avogadro m, and Miracle Kissy Pillow gloves from carole.
  • HoRb can be considered as well but you seem to lack gear for her and HoS will already be applying impair anyway. I thought about HoRb dps with HoS support but again lack of gear to consider this imo.

• HoHE dps

  • JK (stick with nebulous/cosmic duality gloves)
  • Kira or Pardofelis
  • One of them will take turg TB
  • the other will take Cezanne B or Newton B with Gluttony T. Beware Cez needs combo attack (so kira can't use it). Use newton if you don't want to think about this.
  • put avo m on whoever that will use their weapon active right before swapping to hohe
  • Can also try dropping cez/newt for aslaug 3pc. This doesn't last long and needs ult to trigger. So it has to be on a valk that will ult right before hohe swaps in. (SS rank kira can reliably do this. Otherwise maybe JK)

• HFS dps

  • HoTr with turg. don't expect her to ult every cycle
  • CN with gluttony t, newt b
  • i'm not sure if either can trigger avo m in a practical manner. Maybe CN.

Overall don't expect strong results from these teams. I also don't recommend spending resources on them further (esp NOT crystals, honkai shards, phase shifters, ether fuel, torus, sc metals). Just use them to get by the best you can for now and save up for new stuff.

i'm also going to assume you know how to rotate these teams but loosely speaking it's going to be setting up effects from both supports then having the dps capitalize off of it for 15 seconds or so

i see you have some costumes that prob won't rerun anytime soon. So more reason to stick with this account if you want to

i thought about mobius, but she will prob run into sp sustain issues with how much you're currently lacking too. Anyway the above can get you started for now.

if you care about ely and want to use her for future newer teams, then keep in mind her new weapon is currently available from the gacha. I still do not recommend it meta wise but meta isn't everything. You can even try it out for free in tactics class.
Note her new gear is worse for her older teams. For you, getting that new gear is only for astral ring teams.

I think it’s a bit exaggerated, but you kinda need a coverage for everything. Like ­-­-let’s say­-­- when I’m in Redlotus and it’s Physical weather and I don’t have a coverage for it, then ­-­-assuming equal skill­-­- people who can cover that niche, while I can’t, will obviously have higher scores than me. And from what I’ve seen at least more than half people than me whenever I’m in Redlotus typically can cover everything.
Now it’s kinda on me for not covering certain weaknesses, cause I’m waifu pulling, but I do think it takes some time until you have covered everything relevant to retain RL consistently.

For example t3 qua atk has a cap of 23 atk

You can also see that the bar below the T2 affix is nearly full which means that it near its cap while the bar from the bar from the t3 affix is only half way filled and still gives more atk

if you really want sushang your best bet is rerolling, the amount of time it takes to get enough xtals to guarantee her + weapon even with beginner income is not really feasible at this point. you can also save 60 weapon banner pulls and spend the rest on the character banner so you dont end up getting her without weapon

Sp valks are good (if you have them built) but its not the case anymore , they are just generally an A rank valk that cost more frags with "Sp"ecial skills (Sp has no actual meaning) that are unlocked on their talent (its like a gene/dna sequence)

its better ot just invest your resources elsewhere (p2 valks basically)

Vita's mobility can be quite appreciated when everyone else is quite restricted and if you need to set up some sort of positioning in the fight too

Luckily low level content means having one built character (especially a part 2 one) means I can get away with not really focusing on other characters

considering the current exalted abyss weather benefits from sparkle or teri dps, i think it's fine if you have enough mats (Edit: obviously this isn't relevant if you're not in exalted)

although be mindful of what else you may already have and can pri arm. In most other scenarios, sparkle isn't really noteworthy as a dps

if we were at the end of the patch and you had limited materials then i would've more urged you to save to prep for the next new release instead, since the early few abyss weathers tends to favor it

the one on the right can improve and existing stat but each stigs is capped to only ten of those. The improvements are also extremely small (~0.1 or can be even less) too if your stats are already high. I only would consider this if you're looking to max out a stats for sentimental reasons

You can also obtain them from PWO shop or extremely unlikely from asterite shop (weekly red capsule thing)

with the way part 2 team building works, it's alot more flexible. You're basically matching leader ring types to tags of the supports. As long as you have enough even if it's not the best, it can generally be close enough to retain in RL

and every new valk has one ring type but multiple tags

Helia is a ||heavenly grail ring type and the first of her kind. So your idea of having multiple ring types will not work since she's the only one||

but obviously that would be awkward to release. What supports a ring type leader isn't sharing the ring type, but instead having a separate thing called a tag/attribute

and the recent valks released recently were having this foreshadowing tag (currently displayed as ??? in game)

so for helia as a dps you would want valks like durandal, FWS kiana, hohe with her dkey, sushang

all of these valks have tags that matches with helia even though they don't have her ring type

but also helia has tags of her own too

so you can use helia to support existing teams

one of these tags is heavenly shift which is matching with law of ascension ring type

so helia (heavenly shift tag) can support FWS dps, Sushang dps, or durandal dps (all of these are LoA ring type as a leader)

so you can see alot of criss crossing and flexibility

meanwhile helia i don't think can support hohe dps

hohe dps is Wheel of destiny which wants harmonized shadow star support (helia doesn't have that iirc)

it's alot of annoying names that don't make sense but overall part 2 is about learning these names and what they match with

if you have any confusion feel free to further ask but also i recommend checking the guide i linked at this point. I'm pretty much parroting it at this point

in the case of wheel of destiny (since you replied to my hohe statement), that specific ring type can get away with just one tag support.

So the reason why matching tags are important is because they offer main functionalities/gimmicks to the ring type's playstyle

during outburst for wheel of destiny, the dps can use the supports to call a phantom and this phantom will provide a period of enhanced effects (double stacking, cooldown reduction, etc). A shadow star support will provide a longer phantom effect (rondo) than a support without the tag. However a WoD dps only needs one extended rondo + one short rondo to cover the outburst duration

but this leniency can vary depending on the ring type

You still would want double shadow star supports if you can anyway since they provide better buffs too.

I guess in the case of LoA, just having one shift support would let you swap between the dps and support rapidly. But during outburst you would only get to super qte twice instead of three times.

anyway i ramble. Don't worry about it for now if all that went over your head. For now focus more on understanding the idea of matching the leader ring type to the tags of the supports
