Hello. I just started HI3 last night, and made it as far as unlocking Seele. I was wondering how copies work in this, as I'm familiar with Star Rail or Genshin's method of extra copies of characters.

My question is, what are the HI3 equivalents to like, Eidolons and relics? Are there things I should focus on first, or just play the game and get everything as it unlocks?

Is Li Sushang worth pulling for as a new account, or should I focus on one of the other banners instead?

In HI3, we are separated into 2 components. There is the story mode which you can play without any need to gacha. And there is a focused gameplay mode which concerns Abyss. What's different compared to the other games is that in HI3 we are competiting against other players for faster time. So if you enjoy this component then the focus for this is horizontal investment. We don't pull rank ups but only base characters and weapons.

It should be similar to genshin and HSR. I don't count but 6 or 7 copies for max ranks on 5 star/S base characters

So lets say u got a base s rank charcater(5 star in gi or hsr), if u obtain another copy of said char, it becomes 50 fragmets, then u can use those fragments to upgrade that s rank(from s to s1 to s2 to s3 to ss to ss1 to ss2 to ss3 to sss, from s to s1, u need 25 frags up to ss, then from ss to ss1 u need 50 frags, up to sss which in total cost u 300 fragments, or 6 extra copies of the s rank)

as for this, ascension should be avoided. It's basically for whales to improve ranks. The rate to get the actual valk is lower than usual that you should expect to full pity.

For f2p intents and purposes you're never going to need to spend crystals for dupes.

Thelema was released roughly a year ago by now so her meta relevance has largely gone niche by now. She's also much more dependent on her signature weapon than other valks.

Starter supply should be avoided too.

this is because the the new releases gets emphasized by abyss early in the patch. So getting them late will miss that emphasis. It's arguably not too important in the grand scheme of things but this recommendation is looking for maximal mileage of the crystals spent

and abyss is a mode where you eventually compete against other players for high scores in specific conditions that changes twice every week. the better you do the more crystals you can earn and it's quite significant for your regular income esp as f2p.

anyway teams don't build themselves overnight. So don't rush into spending your crystals for now. Prioritize picking up new releases of each patch if feasible, or otherwise skipping to conserve for later ones

Do you see yourself as a player willing to restart or even reroll? Even if this account is dated, you can still work with it for now. You mainly need to spend more time to accumulate more crystals to get future new releases.

however hohe suffers from being niche in her main role as a ice dps and being heavily dependant on thelema to do so. Ascension is better than i recalled but still arguably not good value due to how old thele is by now and how other priorities of newer releases will always exist.

Hohe's support uses have been very lackluster for other leaders currently. From what i loosely heard, she may be ||decent for the next upcoming ring type but you can definitely get by with other things too||

The thing you're missing are relevant supports. Every ring type leader dps is going to want supports with matching tags/attributes.

And these matching supports are crucial to making the main gimmicks/functionalities of the ring type work.

so let's say you burn all your current crystals going for hohe gear and fail to get her weapon

now you're transferring a high pity to the next new valk and will prob get the weapon early before getting all stigs

you could do another ten roll at this point while pity is low to attempt to get another stig but this comes with a risk of getting "lucky" with a dupe weapon and resetting your pity again. even 10 rolls is valuable as f2p

and otherwise you're spending 2 extra prisms and 600 ether fuel to craft any stigs you didn't get

and any hohe stigs you're getting, while it's an improvement over nothing, is very insignificant overall

badum is more recent and relevant for next ring type, and each SD valk generally has a unique utility that makese them often used together in SD matchups

but beware of how

• badum's patch is already over so alot of her early mileage and abyss shill is lost by now
• badum's cost isn't cheap. that 40k you're spending could've gone to another later new valk that may offer more mileage

if you're ok with all that (esp if you find a skip patch with a valk that doesn't appeal to you) then you may consider it. Just know it's not a meta recommended decision

If you get unlucky or want to backpull, then you'll need to plan a skip. But a single skip should put you over for a decent while too (if unlucky. ofc if you're backpulling then your cost isn't really changing).
