The recommended affix stats for most valks are usually flat attack. Valk type ATK or weapon type ATK are preferred over generic ATK because the max value is higher.

Physical valks can also go crit damage as well. Elemental valks cannot crit, so that stat would be useless on them.

Crit rate is sadly mistranslated and only gives your valk CRT, a much lower actual crit rate value, making it not worth pursuing.

Additionial elemental damage is only good when the valk's attack percentage ratios are too low for ATK to be better. This was only the case for Lunar Vow: Crimson Love (LV) so far. Otherwise it's way worse than ATK.

In very specific cases, some support valkyries ran SP regen affixes instead. Notable examples are Herrscher of Truth (HoTr) for more Trio rotations and Sparkle (TFM) for exclusively her p1 ignite support use cases.

Overall, you should only affix Best-in-Slot Stigmata and generally aim to get as much Atk as possible on your DPS Valkyries first. Ensure that the Battlesuit/Weapon Type matches what the Affix line demands otherwise the Atk will not apply.

Remember only Physical Damage can crit, and "crit ratios" do not apply to Honkai Impact 3rd.

how competitive are you?

it's difficult to assess the the value of horb's dkey atm

• it's a divine key so you still get +10 atk from your first copy, and +5 for each additional copies which can matter more in nirvana
• the main use will be to handle horb's dps niches. Most notably domination weathers like the recent SK and the upcoming tribunal
  • be wary that horb is an older valk now so veterans and higher competitors will have her above S.0 rank. Maybe ballpark around s2 to ss0.
• as a GoI support, i haven't seen any top uses for her. if you're more new but somehow have horb already and need more symbiosis units, the weapon can be a way to access it.
• as a WS support, on paper she seems notable since she can weapon active and swap off, taking less active field time. She apparently has seen higher (still not best) uses in a fire weather super tona cycle (sparkle dps) but overall I haven't seen her being best in more general cases. Vita, HFi, FWS may still be higher or at least sufficient enough considerations.
• we are only getting preliminary info of next patch's new valk now in #🔮cn-gameplay-discussion pins. Not sure what to make of it yet and we may not know in time before horb dkey goes away
• regarding thelema ss, check out pins in #👶beginner-help for elaborations on that. Overall i wouldn't consider this a weighted factor but it's a nice small bonus if you opt for it. Tldr, more rime trauma, slight team buff, more personal raw atk iirc
• regarding fdd rerun, she's a consideration since she's very recent and is a top support for many scenarios due to her team breach. However
  • if you're RL or below, i would argue other supports that share her tags can be good enough there. Despite the team breach, she isn't too far off some other alternatives https://youtu.be/sjkdlsyUKvI
  • at that point you're really mainly getting her for dps use cases. These are mainly ignite weathers and a good amount of them have already gone by. At that point, a newer release may be more appealing.

if you still want to consider FDD but don't have enough crystals, one tactic you can try is to spend crystals on one banner while not going below the amount you need to pity the other one. In other words, if you have 30k crystals, you can spend 13k of them on valk banner, but not go below 60 rolls (17k crystals). This way, if you get valk early, you can still guarantee the weapon. Otherwise if the valk doesn't arrive early, just stop and pity will carry over (and the pity built counts towards spending event too in this case).
-# I suppose you can apply this logic the opposite fashion if your weapon banner has a higher to reach pity than the valk banner somehow but keep in mind you want room on weapon banner to get stigmatas if you do have to stop and let pity carry over.
As much as i'm yapping about FDD, as said before, i overall don't recommend her personally at this point

maybe check #🔮cn-gameplay-discussion pins for other reruns but they're after spending event and also not recommended. If you're an elysia fan then flawless benediction rerun may be of interest i guess (only saying this preemptively since we have been seeing alot of ely fans lately and understandably)

i guess my last consideration is a gacha op if you are highly competitive and have specific considerations, but generally this is not recommended overall

anyway i think saving in general is also very fair @sinful pelican

edit: oh one more consideration for horb. I still haven't looked into this enough yet but technically she can still impair iirc. It's a possible speculation that they may stop making new astral ring valks that can self impair and instead rely more on horb or other breach sources like vita and coralie. I might be entirely off base with this though so please review her kit details if you're wondering about this. For now I won't put any weight on this idea since there's no real confirmation of it being the case yet. At worst the dkey will rerun prob sooner than later. You can maybe check arustats or similar pinned past calendars to get a rough idea of how stellar keys may rerun but this is speculative and no guarantee.

back in the older days you needed to unlock signets, but now it's changed so all signets are unlocked even for newer players

ego signets refer to ely signets. Even back for older valks, you shouldn't get all of them but only ones for the specific playstyle you're building for. For newer valks, they simplified it to just outburst or non-outburst (charging state) builds.

astral ring is not related to signets. It's based on the valk you're using.

the big blue button you're looking for isn't technically called astral ring btw. It's part of the astral ring system but it's specifically called stellar outburst

astral ring is just a mode that's enabled on when you're leading with a newer valkyrie that has a ring type (older valks don't have it)

Consider HLE if you have to deal with an SD enemy while using HoHE dps. I'm unsure of HLE's personal damage potential when not in outburst state or how well she can freeze as a WoD support against HoHE's more notable matchups.

You can just try out either one when an HoHE use case arises too.

The weather bonus from bleed is quite large (make sure to keep bleed status on the boss) and the boss itself stalls forever if you don't bleed it to force it to advance the fight.

HoTr as a support mainly buffs fire and lightning. Not ice. HLE is an ice dps so putting HoTr no the team doesn't make sense.

Be mindful that HLE is an astral ring valkyrie, which is a new system of many benefits for newer valks and teams. At worst maybe use VBm Coralie (card and signature weapon available from early part 2 story, farmable to max rank from asterite shop weekly too). VBm doesn't actually match well with HLE, but at least will give you partial benefits while having many buffs/debuffs and longer uptimes suitable to Astral Ring newer teams.

maybe we should adjust advice more to cater to your preferences then because i don't think the meta answer would suit you.

The meta answer would be to save up crystals and play the game regularly to roll (s0 valk and synergy 1 weapon) for latest releases regularly (not every patch but enough of them). This is because you want to build up a wide but also strong long lasting roster to handle many different situations of abyss. Abyss gives you a lot of crystals but makes you compete against others

but what you gain from abyss will never make back up what you spend for these meta valks so it's counterproductive if you don't enjoy it

I want to address a few other things in your statement too so bear with me

i thought HLE was more of a support
Every astral ring valk can be used as a dps or a support for specific kinds of other leader dps depending on how they are placed on the team

i have vita!
Vita is not able to support HLE as a dps nor vice versa unfortunately.

If you read HoTr's leader skill you'll see she must be leader to gain access to her big independent multipliers to better function as a dps. However even at her best potential she's lackluster now

The divine key will rerun later this patch actually. Meta wise i don't recommend rolling for it, but if you're just an elysia fan, try to save up 60 rolls for it. Check #🔮cn-gameplay-discussion pins for details

When I used the button in the login screen to recover my mihoyo account, and connect it to a hoyoverse account, in the web browser it displayed my right account and captain level, but once I actually log in, its on a fresh account. Is there any way I can fix this and recover the old account?

I'm not actually sure and you may want to contact customer service about it. At one point, Hoyoverse was required by laws to enforce age verification on their accounts or something. In that process, they gave a 1 year(?) period for people to do so while all older accounts were marked to be disabled. I know after this point, the accounts were still recoverable but I believe the period to recover it is over.

If you haven't yet, try logging to your account on hoyolab and seeing if you can verify your age there

but odds are if you're already starting a fresh account on the same hoyo account on the same server, it's possibly been wiped

Overall I'm not familiar with this topic. I haven't actually ran into anyone returning to the game with an old unverified account until possibly now

maybe someone else can pitch in. If you want ask somewhere else on this server other than CS, maybe try #🔌technical-help too

for very outdated accounts that are now irrelevant to the meta and all the former crystal exclusive valks on it becoming farmable, a new account with an extra batch of beginner crystals and reset one time progress crystals will ease more easily into getting new gacha valks

we don't normally recommend darwin since it's impractical to trigger and high cost to upgrade but i guess HoO can make use of it (it'll take a few cycles to ramp up though. No idea if her weapon deflection counts as taking a hit to disable 2pc too)

it's not that she's unplayable. She's still very functional. However crystals are limited so when giving general advice we plan for getting the highest mileage from them.

If you're f2p or lighter spending, no matter how well you save, you can't afford to get everything. Arguably spending on something else (usually a new release when it arrives) is more worth for your crystals than on any rerun

but if you absolutely have to focus on HoHE for any reason, advice can certainly be adjusted to fit you better. Just be clear what your personal non meta objectives are

and yeah abyss has stratifications so you can find the balance that works for you. F2p meta wise, it's very reasonable to aim for red lotus (semihighest tier) but plenty of players are fine with being at Agony 3 below it. It's fine to settle for lower too as long as you're aware you get less crystals that way

at a top meta level, hohe is becoming more and more niche. HLE's release has taken some of her abyss boss matchups (e.g. ranged kalpas). As a support she's only been best against tank boss for her unique weakpoint ability. For certain team styles, she's one of the more lackluster supports too but still servicable and functionable.

so i don't recommend rolling right now. the main situation to avoid is having a valk without her weapon and vice versa

if you want to chance at it then there's another method we can take. To guarantee weapon we need 59 * 280 = 16520.

Currently you have 19383. Subtract that by 16520 = 2863. Roughly 10 rolls over. You cn try 10 rolls on valk banner. If you get lucky and get her early then, then you can still guarantee weapon.

Otherwise if you don't get her, just stop and the pity will carry over so you don't truly lose anything.

Building pity is a really bad idea. It’s better to save those juicy crystals for what you are actually planning to get.

There are many reasons to not build pity. It's not worth it in 99% of situations.
Please read them and reconsider whether you actually need to build pity:

• Some banners do not carry pity into others, Please confirm it carries over before even considering building pity.
• There are events with added rewards for rolling during their durations. Any pity built beforehand will not count towards them!
• Building pity will risk getting "lucky" with the Valkyrie/weapon early. This resets your pity. A dupe or an incomplete Valkyrie will not be greatly beneficial!
• If opting to build pity on a weapon supply, it's likely to miss out on later newer stigmas and end up overspending rolls or crafting materials to get them.

-# Depending on the situation, you can build pity during a spending event to reach a certain milestone. Please ask a St. Freya Professor before making any decisions as crystals could go toward units that are more worthwhile.
