ah thats why then, you'll need to free up more space, the computer needs to reserve enough free space for the contents of the zip file before it starts unzipping. so its the size of the compressed file + the size of the uncompressed files. so you'll need to free up some more space before trying to unzip

If you are asking how to see what is inside of it to know what files to delete that it is going to replace, you'll need to install 7-zip since it is a 7-zip file

the launcher does the same thing as the pc, it needs sufficient free space.

one thing you can try if you have unlimited internet is to uninstall the game completely and then reinstall it since a fresh install doesnt need as much free space at the beginning

since updating it requires you to have the game already there plus about 55GB free this version i think

the size will go back down after the update, but becuase of how windows works, it needs about 55GB free storage space to be able to do the update and then afterwards the size will go back down to only being about .5-2 GB bigger than last patch, on average its like .5GB bigger every version iirc

You can try that. Most of the zip file is replacing files that already exist in the folder

You'd need to install 7 zip to be able to open up the pre download file and look at individual files to delete

The update is only 29.5gb files worth of that folder so you don't want to delete the whole folder

If you want to manually delete parts of your installed game to manually unzip the pre download to your game folders you'll need 7zip to look in it and see which files to delete as well as manually unzipping it to your game honkai impact 3 folder

The other option is to free up a total of about 35gb total space after downloading the file and then manually unzip it there

Or freeing up 55gb and letting the launcher download and update the game if you have the Internet for that but Windows does need 35 ish GB to unzip the pre download after it's downloaded

I dont know how big the game will be after the update is totally done, but historically the total game installation size only goes up about .5 on average, sometimes more sometimes less but on average it will be about that much bigger after you're done updating

There's something wrong with the main story in part 2. It's the part where Coralie is undertaking her first trial, and it's a dating sim-ish with Helia (or atleast a simulation of her). Then after Coralie's line saying that even if the NPC is wearing a fake mask of Helia, she (Coralie) would still want to make her smile. After that, the game crashes and exits. When I open the game again, everything is fine except that.

Tbh in the process you are just reinstalling all the base file again, by "updating" you will skip most of the in-game download compared to a clean install

No, as long as you know your login information then when you uninstall the game it'll delete the cached login so if someone reinstalled the game later it won't "remember" you

no, but the main reason i havent been recommending people go there is because sometimes they upload modified .apk versions of stuff which can trigger the anticheat so if you want to try you can, but im not willing to recommend it to large groups of people in case its a modified .apk if that makes sense

but yeah i reported it to, let them know that the sea link is working fine its just the GLB one so their server team probably has to figure out why its not working. but in the meantime if you find the 8.4 update on apkpure and it doesnt give an error when using it then its safe to use. if its been modified it'll give an error message so if it updates ok then its the original google play store one just reuploaded.

I tried installing it through ADB to get a more detailed error
It seems like it's failing to update because the updated .apk is signed with a different android signing key than the already installed one
So basically it's an issue from the people that are grabbing those APKs, they should sign them all with the same key
I guess this also means you should rely on one source for those APKs because each source might use a different signing key

a little work around you may be able to do to avoid re-installing 30gb all over again is to go into Android/data/ and rename com.miHoYo.bh3global to something else like com.miHoYo.bh3global1
then delete the old version, install the new one
rename the folder back to what it was named and run the game

Note that this might be difficult to do properly on newer Android versions because Google keeps restricting storage access to the Android/data/ folder more and more every year

i made a mistake and sign the app incorrectly while i merged the apks , you will no able to update the app, a clean reinstall should work.
but yeah because of that if you install it, for the next update you will get the same error when trying to update using the "official app" and have to do a reinstall again, so imo is better to just wait for the fix

Does anyone know why my control on pc client feels unresponsive? its usually after a QTE or sth like that and I keep pressing attack with no responds. It only responds after like a second or 2 after the QTE animation completely ended, I just downloaded the pc client today and started a new account, but the control feels very unresponsive from when I last played with the pc client with my first account

ok so i got back sooner than expected, but look at this recording where i activated teh qte and then dodged with those two and if this is about the speed with kiana then that is normal, if yours is much longer than this then try the keyboard and mouse controls (if its not set to that you can press right alt to switch between just keyboard and keyboard/mouse) and see if its the same. if its the same delay then reinstalling the game might fix that but if it is like my recording with the keyboard and mouse but not the controller then the issue is the controller input so you might need to reinstall your controller drivers or the game.

but CS has confirmed when i asked them a few years ago that 120fps option exists in select high end android models, but because theres dozens of android phone brands, with different kinds of hardware and so on they cant just be like iphones and say "any iphone better than this gets it" they have to test specific models and unlock it for those models that they test

I was going to install it on the external hard drive so I have more space on my computer. Was trying to see if it worked which it did. But didn't allow the uninstall. However according to the launcher on the main drive it does not show the game. And it is not in the apps to uninstall it like add/removes.

mhmm its because since you just manually unzipped some files its not registered as an "installed" program in your computer.

if you want to get the launcher to recognize it though then you can click the "find games" below get game and point it into the honkai impact 3rd game folder in your screenshot, the same location that bh3.exe is and it'll recognize that installation

but there wont be any issues in the future if you delete the files and clear out the cache (clearing out the cache is optional, its where your saved login and graphics settings and stuff are

your game account is bound to your hoyoverse account yes, the files themselves are not so yes as long as you log into the right hoyoverse account on the right server, it'll pick right back up where it left off, if you want to start over with a new account then you can just change the server and still use the same hoyoverse account since hi3 has multiple servers and each can have a game account tied to the same hoyoverse account

as long as its plugged in when you open the launcher it shouldnt have any problems, if you didnt have it plugged in it would probably say get game until you closed the launcher, plugged it in and then opened the launcher it should say launch i think, though i havent tested that myself

Being stuck at 62.3% just means windows update is downloading a big ass file/update that will help restore your install.

if it was after july 2022 then your old account is already linked to a hoyoverse account and you are simply either trying to log into the wrong server or the wrong account. i'd double check that you installed the SEA version of the game and if it is the SEA version of the game (the app will be called honkai impact 3 on phone instead of honkai impact 3rd) then do you know your old accounts UID number? (the account number)

but there is a small hope. if you can find your UID its as simple as emailing customer support and saying you forgot the login since your hi3 account is linked to a different hoyoverse than the one you're trying.
for finding your UID it might be in any old screenshots of the screen below, or if you have anyone that you were friends with in the game that still play they could look at your friend profile and see your UID that way.

but if you cant find it but still want to play, then on one hand if you care about being competitive in general with games then tbh the beginner rewards are dramatically better than returnee rewards, and with the p2 astral ring combat system pretty much most part 1 valks/characters arent considered good in the meta so if you asked the #👶beginner-help they'd probably tell you to restart for competitive reasons.

but i do hope you find the UID. Oh it is also part of the invite share links if you shared those with anyone. or if you had it installed on pc and never uninstalled it since last playing then you can find it in the config files there too

Other thing you need to check is if you used gamecenter or AppleID, even when they are both from apple, they will create different HYV accounts as they give a different ID to the system

Is how you login, most "old" iOS users just register with gamecenter intead of appleID, you could check if your account was created with that by using that to login.

once the accident account is unlinked you can do account retrieval at the login screen to link your old account to a hoyoverse account and then log into the game with it

this is a general use form for account recovery, so not every field will apply to your specific case

I was a returnee before and I can say it was a pain to get crystals on endgame modes after just one year of being unable to play , you can save it but it's going to take a while after you can spend crystals like casual again compared to a new account
But yeah with the EVA stuff is better to go for it because is the only stuff you can't get anymore

oh yeah for sure it is a huge pain, but on the other hand if you're the kind of player that mainly does the story, and plays for 1 or 2 weeks every other month, then any gains gotten from beginner vs returnee in the farming abyss and ma and ER stuff would be neglible from just not playing mostly every day or playing sporadically if that makes sense

I will agree that beginner rewards are so dramatically better than returnee and returnee is a slog to get your account competitive again, but if someone is only planning on playing a couple of weeks and then take another 4 month break it doesnt matter that much in the long run is how i see it

Just in case about the event, like other chibi ones, a connection issue on the wrong timing can break some stuff (I didn't get a "new mission" and got stuck in place), just getting to the main menu and back to the event will fix it

my drive with the issue will show up again after a restart, sadly because of that, the automatic backup i have set to another drive just replace the old files with the corrupted ones, so once i find out about the issue was too late
