that doesnt mean much tbh, the only difference between steam and other PC ver. is the login system, they still connect to the same game server
and the reroll was just an example because is kinda the same as what you did with login in-out your acocunts, you are making too many different request to the server so as a security measure, the server deny any request from your IP for some time
a vpn can help sometimes when the issue is not directly caused by you, but is not a bulletproof solution

also you should probably wait exactly 24h before you try to login again

any time you try to login you may increase some internal timer to keep you logged for longer (if its security issue)

no its different. u clearly dont know anything. let say an internet cafe that has steam honkai ver and has like 50 people login and play hi3rd steam ver. if my cases play 10 different accs(yeah i realize that after this, the 10 acc trigger to get that message), on 1 device get me this too "many request" so its bug or bad system. i only play 3 on few hours ago and got that message. so pls shut up broo, u dont know anything

The reason why those PC (Internet cafe) don't get this issues is because of .... you do know every PC in there has different ID and also different IP addresses

probably the cache is corrupted so you need to clear it, but like the pin say remember that you will have to login again to the game

Honestly now that I think about it, having a bunch of alt accounts (idk how often you switch between them) logging in and out from your IP address is what it sounds like it could be doing it, I think I remember you saying you had 6?

But yeah the error your getting happens sorta frequently for account rerollers or those juggling half a dozen accounts in a daily basis... I think. Could also be the steam version is more sensitive to multi account logins per day on the server side because of how much more unintuitive it is to make multiple steam accounts since you have to log out of your steam entirely and into the other account. I do know I've compared the hashes of the steam version and the regular global client version before (a copule of years ago i think) and the only difference even on a hash level is a couple of files related to steam back when i checked

Could be something else but I do know a lot of different account logins or account requests like reset the password etc triggers the brute force security system.

Though I see you've already considered the login amount things so like I said, could be something else but im not sure what that could be

But I will say that everone in here including mods are just volunteer captains like you and everyone else, We can and are wrong quite a lot but please refrain from saying potentially hurtful things like "u clearly dont know anything" we dont do that to all the captains making obvious mistakes and we also have the exact same info that you do, we don't have anything special from CS or anything like that, all of the guides in here and knowledge is just stuff we've figured out from helping multiple captains and sometimes asking CS questions. We're just trying to help and thats it, if you dont want help but just want to report your issue/make it known to the universe you'd probably have a better time in #🐛bug-report since this channel is for people asking the regulars in here to fix their problems but if you dont want to fix and just want to make it know, #🐛bug-report would work probably better since you wont automatically try to have your issue fixed in there. We still sometimes go in there and help captains but a lot of the bugs in there dont start a conversation

l can't hear any voice in cutscene. the diologues have no voice, but the begin of the game have. I uninstalled and installed the game several times and still the voice of Himeko and MC doesn't come out. There's no voice even in the animations.

and thats not surprising, steam login servers are different servers than non steam login servers so it wouldnt be the same thing, like as an example if you got this error while logging into the NA server, and then tried the SEA server it would work on the SEA server no problem

but support is just gathering more info so they can narrow down what the issue is, just answer their questions and they'll take a look into it

when hi3 first game out the company was like 7-12 people iirc, and t hey definitely didnt have the money to ENG dub, especially since the game didnt get released globally for almost 2 years and i imagine that by the time the game got "big" enough to think of hiring eng voice actors the game was already long into its production cycle and didnt warrant dubbing over years of game at that point is my guess. its just never been a thing for hoyo's previous games before genshin was released

@hazy rampart so um I'm case your interested the while thing with the bad quality cgs is because after 5.8 they changed the format of them from .MP4 files with separate .srt subtitle files to .usm files. Usm files have several upsides to them compared to .MP4 like the fact the subtitles are a part of the video files themselves and they have the ability to have much more audio channels iirc so they could have more complex multilayered music going on. Genshin and HSR have the .usm file type too and iirc they both started with that. Another big upside is that they're much smaller than .MP4 even if they have the same resolution.

I think they switched to .usm for several reasons like:

Fixing the years long PC client bug of the subtitle .srt fileswouldn't get extracted so no subtitles until you manually extracted from game files (this is actually the reason I initially started using buildas better hi3 launcher)

It also let them make more complex videos, and made them harder to datamine, and lastly reduced the game size by a lot. If they had kept the .MP4 format the mobile size of the game would likely be 8-10GB larger by now I think.

Funny enough though, the old "compressed" cgs are still 720p resolution, just the whole conversation process of converting the existing .MP4 files ro the new .usm format led to a lot of compression artifacts (artifacts meaning the blocky pixels). This is something they could fix by basically remaking all the old cgs from fresh with their files, but it would be a lot of work and they haven't done it since 5.8 so not likely to happen q.q

But that's why, it's less to do with them just compressing the files and more to do with converting the existing ones to the new and better in a lot of ways format.

weird story but after I want to switch account, I selected the prompt "do not save my credentials" and then relog back with my own info, subsequent logins the game actually saves my info.

Previously I mentioned that it didn't save for weeks, somehow this action worked, idk why Builda said it was due to software messing with my mac address (and I also think so after looking thru), causing my game to not save my info when I launch my game again.

@stoic reef the last of my acc were play on last week ago. this time i tried go play it again and yeah, that the last its triggering all cant login. i would say ya, the steam ver launcher server it much more sensitive to like login different accs(this version its really bad for inet cafe just want to say it). but any steam game with dota and cs it just fine i play multiple accs. i have like 30 differ accs on cs prime actually. i have no problem and already did play on that 30 accs when the kilowat case(that case were expensive the first week like 20$ each, got like 15 of 30) released at that time i played them

i mean netcafe login and play dota or cs at the moment were has no limit on that. this is what i believed is the problem within the steam ver 1device or anydevice(pc steam ver) and same connection ip (there is a limit that u could login, and the last acc that u log in were the triggering that cause "too many requests "problem, even you are login like 2 accsat the time(main and last acc that trigger). i dont know if the acc that i used to login before the last can trigger or not. but for sure i can confirm the last acc that play for the first time steam ver or login it trigger

For some, if they had a config.ini in the games folder with bh3.exe that was old (like from an old launcher or sometimes custom launcher) then the hoyoplay launcher wont "find" the game, assuming another thing isnt using the config.ini file (like the game being open or the old launcher) then you may need to find a "clean" copy of it (this is the one for SEA, its pretty identical to the GLB one but I dont know if JP or CN is much different, if its similar then this config.ini file works well ) #🔌technical-help message

Honestly not yet, I've been waiting for it to "roll" out to me so I can see what the proper upgrade process is but at this rate I'll probably just download it anyways to test with and link it to a new installation so I can still wait on my sea installation launcher to update maybe.

In general though I'm still just gonna use the better launcher, I only play hi3 for the PC hoyo games and it's too lightweight I've been in love with it for like 4 years

Apparently the ver. on the hyp site already is updated, a friend said that his hyp launcher didn't show any update (still had the old logo) but after manually updating from the official site just took some min to show the hi3 option
I can't check to confirm because the net is down, only have mobile data for the moment

I downloaded a new version of the launcher in 7.7 and have been doing the check for updates but it hasn't updated yet either. But I also don't know when the end date for the roll out is either so it might just be a coincidence. I'll probably just get the hyp anyways and keep an eye on my regular launcher from time to time

They are telling you to contact steam (store) cs, but before,where did you contacted cs?
Looks like you contacted HYV cs, instead of HI3 cs so probably they have less info about the game directly. And because is just one account having the issue they probably need to take a deeper look because your others accounts are not causing you issues

You can find the emails here #how-to-contact-cs , tell them your issue, with your uid, and that you have multiple accounts but only that one is with problems

i did misclick as i wanted to finish it before geting to the new update story but now it seems i cant go back due to the sudden popup while starting honkai (which i still dislike) trying first to do my dailies first in all the hoyo games i play

The open world missions themselves aren't replayable (I've been complaining about this since they first did it xD)

But if you're wanting to change which open world map your part 2 has "active" for when you hit the anchor button from the main menu all you have to do is click in attack and then the big story picture, then on the left side, change it to the chapters 1-3 for part 2 and then couch the big story thing in the middle, this post is telling someone to go to part 2 chapter 3ex specifically so not the exact same clicking but it's really close #🔌technical-help message

So, can't replay the story itself without making an alt account, but you can switch the map and walk around and do any missions\side missions that you haven't done yet

Well if it helps, the entire lore chat has been upset by the open world not being replayable for years and years. Honestly not even sure how you would do it since every other open world game both from hoyo and from any other company I've played the only way to "replay" it is starting over with a new save which I guess is the same as making an alt account. But yes I feel your frustration, if you accidentally missed something the #📚honkai-lore pins has some pretty good YouTube playlists of all the game in an all dialogue no gameplay for just all the story. But that's not the same as replaying the mission itself

Though if you're on EU, making an alt account to experience it from the beginning again is as easy as changing your login server to America's at the top of the login screen if you do want to make an alt account.

I agree with the should be replayable, but they do take place in an open world style map so it's not possible atm to replay then without making a new game account.

I do recommend asking for it to be replayable in the version feedback surveys they have every version. If enough captains ask they'll probably figure something out, though I'm still not entirely sure how that would work other than resetting all your progress and disabling any mission completing rewards. But either way as of right now you'll have to make an alt account to replay it

You can stop that actually for future reference. In Mobile just hit the home screen and force close the game. On PC just alt tab out and close the game

Like Luna said you can go back using the "attack" button and selecting the Chapter, but tbh I will recommend you to play until you get to the new "bridge" (is not much in the story if you select the no recap option that you get some min) in case you miss click the popup again, once you are there you can go back Chapter using the attack button on the main menu to select the Chapter or with the button at the side of the map that let you change between part 2 chapters

well as long as you have the right bios, still make sure to clean off the old thermal paste and put new paste on if you're reusing a heatsink and for the love of god dont "test it" without connecting the heat sink

Yes, go into that folder and double click on the uninstall.exe to remove the global installation

And to know which version your iPhone has, just look at the app name, if it says honkai impact 3 then that's the sea version. If it's honkai impact 3rd then it's the global version

But once you finish downloading the right server on PC, just log in with the same hoyoverse account you use on phone and it'll be your normal account

Ryzen 5000 series is very simply, a flat upgrade on every metric to Ryzen 3000. R5 5600 is more efficienct for its performance than previous gens. There is no such thing as "overkill for Mobo" outside of extreme scenarios, an R5 5600 won't find you in.

5600 is only a 65W TDP part too, literally any AM4 board can run that with the appropriate BIOS update, cutesy A320m included. I've used Ryzen 1000, 3000 and 5000 chips and AM4 boards of all generations, so I have first-hand knowledge on this

Added note: 5600 is on average 17% faster than 3600. The only real difference will be cost/value

What are you using to login? Because many users made the mistake before with using the nickname(ingame name) instead of the username(account name)

Unfortunately if the process was completed, you can't get the HYV account (+ game accounts) back

For this last one you want to "delete" it so you can start again, how did you started the delete process? Did you use the account site or email CS? And are you able to login to that account?

Can look fine, but you still can have issues reaching the server, and the game doesn't need a constant connection on all modes, you can still play if you lose connection, but the game will not advance to the next stage/back to the menu/etc. If it can connect to the server again

the best option is to redownload, if your network is slow you can try to use a download manager like motrix

collapse launcher have the option to extract the files anyway and you need to run a repair, but depending of how much the file is corrupted could take more time to repair/download those, or can still fail if the file is corrupted too much

It is possible, the easiest way is to email customer support and ask, they'll tell you what to use to login if you provide your UID and say you dont remember what the login was. (emails are in here #how-to-contact-cs )

if you want to find out yourself then its a long process of logging into hoyolab specifically with what you think it is, then checking all the servers in the honkai battle chronicles and if you find it great! if not then log out of hoyolab, try a different hoyoverse account and check the battle chronicles again and repeat that until you find it (assuming its on a login you remember)

I logged into the 4 steam accounts I had first off (12 total logins so far in the last 24 hours) which all worked fine, then I made another steam account and downloaded the game again and logged in with all 5 accounts which all worked fine. then I made a 6th steam account and downloaded the game again and started logging in with all 6 accounts and got the Too many requests error about halfway through. I then connected to proton VPN's USA server and started logging into the accounts again and around 3 or 4 on the first loop of logging into all the accounts I got the error message again. So I didnt have a chance to try and log into account 5 or 6 while on the VPN.

To summarize I got it with 6 accounts but was doing a huge amount of logins over a 24 hour period with multiple accounts on the same IP, when I changed that with a VPN it fixed it somewhat but continuing to do a huge amount of logins triggered it again very shortly. I cant try 10-11 accounts because anymore steam logins will just give that error message again.

So to conclude for my testings, it does not appear to be an account limit issue but a quantity of login issue along with maybe some other triggers like if your accounts are in a heightened security status from unusual behavior it might trigger sooner. But looking at it from a sever security standpoint, the only reason to have an error like "too many requests" for a game whos entire business model is to get players to play every day on their account would be to prevent DDoS attacks. I think I remember you saying your friend had 5-6 steam accounts and didnt have this issue.

I suspect that if you compared how often you logged into different accounts in a 24 hour period or 3 day period or something like that with your friend you'd find that you were logging in and out of different accounts slightly more than they were.

DDoS attacks are essentially spamming the server with stuff to crash it hard and take it totally down. This too many requests thing prevents a couple of things off of the top of my head:

-Hackers creating bot networks to mass create new accounts in the millions filling up all of your sever space crashing it, taking it down for days or more and making hoyoverse decide to spend hundreds of thousands or more of dollars for more space or delete all new accounts created in the last 24 hours.
-Hackers creating bot networks to mass login crashing the server with login attempts, taking it totally down for hours/days for literally everyone.

those are just the two off the top of my head that I thought of in teh last minute or so and im not even in teh IT security field

lets say i threw a marble on the roof of a house. Nothing really would happen right? Now what if I catapulted 5000KG of marbles on the roof of a house? it would smash the whole thing in.

in the too many requests error you're getting, you logging in one account is 1 marble. When you log into accounts 20 times or so (20 marbles) the server gets sus and stops you from doing that in case you're trying to throw a billion marbles at it. This is what an account making DDoS attack would look like.

for CS example you used, I dont know what they spammed the server with. maybe it was match making requests or something but they still threw a billion marbles or something at the server which took it down

Playing the steam version of Honkai counts as a separate HoYoverse account, so if you already have a main account that’s not steam, you basically can’t use that data unless you get a proper installer not from steam.

But if it’s a login issue, maybe a full system shutdown might help? Generally people tend to overlook this method, and it sometimes surprisingly works.

generally speaking that error message is the server being sus of too many account creations/logins/etc from a certain IP address and doesnt let you login for a few days. Rerollers get it kinda often tbh if they go too hard/fast

if you havent tried it yet, a controller wrapper is a known good solution for controller issues so you could look around for those, the main one that I know of is just DS4Windows but i dont know if that works with steamdeck

https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-download/ its display driver uninstaller (DDU) a lot of times when updating graphics drivers theres a lot of junk left behind that DDU cleans up if its anything other than the microsoft display adapter driver.

to find out if thats the one your steamdeck is using. click on start and type dxdiag.exe and hit enter to open the dxdiag, then go to the display tab and for the name if it says microsoft display adapter then you dont need to use DDU but if it has anything else in the name field then it'll work best if you download and use DDU to uninstall your old graphics drivers before installing the new ones

it is definitely possible, and not that complicated, but they would need to redo all like 1700ish cg files to include all the regions subtitles in the .usm file. the way .usm files work is the subtitles are just hex codes with a header designator for subtitle, language type, start time and length of display on screen and then all the hexcode for the subtitle itself but its in the video file itself so they'd have to essentially redo all of them. Complicated? not really but it would take a lot of hours to do tbh

tbh it might be bugged with the auto update, but you can install the hoyoplay launcher itself and then use the find game function to link your existing installation to it, if it doesnt automatically find it then tell it to look for the honkai impact 3rd\games folder (the folder with bh3.exe in it)

If you still have the issue try to reload the page a couple of times by changing in between event tabs, if that still doesn't work, close the game and try to clear the web cache ("Honkai folder"\BH3_Data\webCaches) deleting the files inside (iirc there is a folder inside named like 2.27.0.0 o something like that)

iirc it should be the "daily" missions on the BP missions tab, but because it say "event" on the title probably you will only fill it with BP that events will give you, idk if the ones you get for playing the "vita monopoly" counts, but soon there is a chibi event and those should count if im corret about the "event" stuff,
