it usually means your download was corrupted, usually happens due to a slightly unstable internet, or pausing/restarting that kind of stuff. you can try using one of the custom launchers in the first pin, those download a lot better or try manually downloading the game

I just upgraded to windows 11 today, from 10, and for some reason, Honkai Impact has very very quiet volume when i'm in the game. much quieter than it was on windows 10. My volume mixer volumes are all fine, 100%, as well as Honkai is at 100% in the in-game volume settings. but for some reason its much quieter than anything else on my PC. Wondering what the fix here could be...

Could try reinstalling your audio drivers or repairing the games installation from the launcher

If honkai stayed installed during the upgrade, might need to reinstall it too

Some programs that stay installed throughout a big change like that don't auto adjust for the new OS

hmm I'll give that a try. I'll redownload the Nvidia drivers fresh. I tried to repair the game files and it didn't change. Funny this is also now happening in Genshin, so maybe its something to do with drivers or the games themselves

oh, do you mean audio drivers, for my motherboard? the rest of the system sounds, discord etc, and even watching video I've taken before, all sound fine, its just the games that are very quiet for some reason

Your computer has separate audio drivers, if it was a pre built then the support website for your model would have it, otherwise it's by your motherboard model

tbh its not a huge issue, like i said directx is backwards compatible and you have 12, more than likely the directx runtime isntaller from teh launcher didnt run properly but its no big deal since you have 12 and its backwards compatible

probably was a faulty "update" of the OS, you could try running a scan on cmd

you can try running repair in the launcher (3 lines next to launch) but half the time it doesnt find stuff, though with that being said most pepole that have an issue with one dont have an issue with the rest but if you want to get a head start on being sure for all of them i'd recommend contacting customer support #how-to-contact-cs

I havent found a guaranteed fix for this, even had someone upload a known working version of a frozen cg but it still froze in someone elses game so its weird

there isnt a full upload of them or anything actually, i just had one freezing on me and had someone send me the specific file for that cg after making sure it worked in their game and it didnt work in mine

but then later on it just started working again so idk whats up with it. but you mentioned chapter 8 having issues? if you go to your games installation folder and go to the Games\BH3_Data\StreamingAssets\Video folder the chapter 8 cg's are the ones that start with 2.3. you can delete those and the game will auto redownload them when you open the game, if not you can click the red repair icon at the bottom left of the login screen to check and download them.

Like Luna said, Australia use SEA server. Do note that AUS isn't actually SEA so there are no methods "specifically" for Australia.

You can pay via any country site as long as you can use the methods provided.

Vietnam as well. E.g. If you have credit card or PayPal, you can top-up on SG site (specifically mentioning SG cuz PayPal).

from what was said above, the purpose of using singapore codashop isn’t to pay using VND/AUD, but using paypal to topup - paypal can convert your local currency into one that is acceptable on singapore codashop (assuming SGD)

its ok i know what its doing, its also a common issue with auto fill and copy/paste and you didnt mention that you manually typed anything so i was just making sure that it wasnt an issue with that because it'll sometimes put a blank space at the end of the email address and that makes it not recognized at all and say "account or password error" so thats why its important to manually type it.

are you on pc or mobile though? if you're on pc did you reinstall the game since you last played or is it the same installation.

honestly? if you're manually typing and arent mistyping anything and you never ever ever shared the account with anyone ever (people have had their "friends" steal their account before) then your gmail might have been hacked and your hoyoverse account yoinked, which is something only customer support can help with. and with your UID if you have any in game friends you can have them look at your profile and get your UID from that

well that uses hoyoverse login credentials, but im not sure how that would have retrieved your account, did it show your regular honkai accounts level or anything like that or are you talking about it retrieving your account becasue it logged in when you put in your email and password

but heres something you can try, you can go to hoyolab.com and log in with your hoyoverse account and then check the honkai battle chronicles

and change the server at the top to see if you have any accounts on other servers. if you dont see your regular account then you're just using the wrong hoyoverse account

or can just email customer support and wait for a reply since they'll just tell you what account its on if you give them your UID

It did not log in when I put my email and password, instead, it told me that I am using a wrong password when I did not changed my password for months. I tried using a save password but like I said, it vanished. So I thought that resetting my password would work and luckily, it still remembers my email.

I do not actually, I didn't make the files but it's just simply downloading the files and then replacing the ones in the folder listed in the pin. Depending on if you play on PC or mobile it could be easier or harder

But it's just a two part process.

1. Download the .zip
2. Extract the .zip to the folder specified in the pin (replace an the files that are named the same, should be all or most of them)

On PC the default install folder for hi3 is c:\program files

If honkai is not in there you might have to add it as a source with the + icon

Okay so the bar on the right started having green when I added my speakers as an audio source, so I think it's working (it's pretty synced to the volume of the music so I assume that's to show the sound for the game works). Kind of annoying that it doesn't default to the speaker output like other stream software cuz this wouldn't be intuitive for a newbie but yup if the audio output bar is doing stuff when you're not talking then it's working! For the steamer (not viewer) rewards it doesn't use the twitch drops system, if I had to guess they're using the twitch API to track how long you stream, etc in the category. Sometimes takes a bit iirc (sauce: I used to be a streamer for a few years and integrated the API into a bot for auto go live announcements)

Hey guys need a bit of advice. Last time I played the game was in 2021 when the company was still Mihoyo. I just tried retrieving my account but it says a UID is already linked to my HYV (I accidentally logged in and started the tutorial)

My question is, can I temporarily retrieve the UID to a fresh, temporary HYV account and ask support to transfer it to my main account?

from past reports i've heard in this channel, if you haven't progressed much in your HYV account, support will be able to delete that data, making it possible for your miHoYo honkai account to be linked to your HYV account

don't link it to a temporary HYV account though, as after you do that, they cannot transfer the data to another HYV account

you should be able to pause the download by going to the Ai-phone, and stop the download

but im not 100% sure if is still the same, this is going to be the first one with the new "resources" menu, so idk if the predownload is going to use the old menu or the new one

well if you are downloading the files, could that be affecting your connection to the server to finish the "claim" of the rewards... and there is not "perfect connection" your ISP can still send you on a problematic connection route.

that is normal, the launcher detected the download you already did on the official launcher and check if it can "use the file", but because it was incomplete/corrupted, started the process again

collapse launcher is good for handling all three hoyoverse games in one launcher, betterhi3launcher is just an .exe to download and run. its at the bottom of this pin yes #🔌technical-help message and they're safe, people have been using them for years and the better launcher is made by one of the mods here. and no need to uninstall the regular one, it'll auto detect your installation if its in the normal place and take it from there

ah then nvm my idea wont help in the long run if you dont have access to the linked email, you'll need to have your friend figure out which purchases were yours unfortunately, might try to get your email back too while you try and figure out with your friend but the top up history is kind of important on the form and the only way to look it up is to look through your payment records, you might have noticed but basically everything on this form isnt stuff that can be looked up by anyone other than the owner of the account or remembered by the owner
