A couple months back, I think during the update where Pardo was added, I tried downloading Honkai on an Android emulator for Mac however it just said that it detected it to be an unofficial version and that I had to download from the official site. Yes, Epic is the same that the official launcher with just some extra files to make possible buy in that launcher (although just GLB ver. is available there)

so the launcher show you an error... if the answer is yes then is a corrupted download
go to the game folder and delete the .7z + tmp files and start the download again or use a mirror to download the file (check the 2nd pin 📌 to check the links and where to put the file)

If anything the fact that a handful of people are having connection issues at roughly the same time means that a popular internet exchange somewhere between EU and honkai servers is throttling y'all's connection which is causing packet loss to specifically honkai for a bunch of people but nowhere near the whole server

I didn't know about assets like banners and portraits being downloaded in-game, thanks for the info. Does this include portraits in the Valkyrie roster? The horizontal scrolling one that is.
Also, I have since fully redownloaded the game on my phone and it might've helped somewhat. Will try that on PC later as well.
I don't usually redownload the game for updates btw, I just install them normally. Which hasn't caused any issues in the past, so it's kinda weird it might've caused issues with v6.3.

I have a Poco X3 Pro with Snapdragon 860 and 8 gigs of RAM. Before v6.3, the game ran perfectly fine at maxed out settings. And in v6.3, I don't really see any graphical changes that would warrant a performance decrease anyway.
As I mentioned though, it could be an issue with that update's download/install, as after reinstalling the game, the situation seems to have improved. So it could just be a random one-off issue with the update files.

could be, especially since a clean install helped though i will point out that maxing out the graphics is putting a strain on your phone since your phones GPU is an adreno 630 and 650-ish is the minimum "recommended" so i would recommend putting your graphics at the mid-tier settings for easier time on your phone

I believe the Snapdragon 860 SoC has an Adreno 640, not 630. It's also more of a thing about performance before the update vs after the update, without any noticeable difference in the game's graphical fidelity.

It has the A15 Bionic, which is very powerful. It's the same SoC as in the iPhone 13 (both phones have the version with 4 GPU cores), so the game should perform very well on that phone. The battery life might be an issue though.

steam wont mess up anything but steam uses your steam ID to log in so it'll start a new account, cant use EU or any other account with steam

but if its getting an authentication error restart your pc and make sure that steam is not in offline mode. sign out and sign back in if you need to

First few chapters are not fully voiced in JP as well as a lot of events and limited time things. It's not an issue there's just no no dub for it. Changing to the CN dub has more voiced in general but it's up to you. Main story wise it'll be all voiced after another chapter or two

Means that even though you just completed the first few stages that the eu account was made a while ago and the starter event has expired. Probably accidentally logged in as eu some time ago and closed it before completing the tutorial levels but the account still got made @shell rivet

I forget if it's a level or a time requirement but if you have an AI Chan phone > login then it'll tell you when the account was made

Account error usually means its a connection issue which is why it cant log you in (confusing i know) but thats why tech support said to restart your wifi but if you're still getting this then use a VPN. proton VPN is both fast an free if you dont have a VPN

ok thanks, the instructions said to also give screenshot of the display tab too so i was having to ask some stuff about it there manually

first try repairing game files in teh launcher then opening the game and before logging in click the red repair icon in the bottom left of the login screen and check for broken assets if that doesnt work then try reinstalling the game and if that doesnt work try rolling your nvidia drivers back to november. the december 5th 2022 drivers caused some issues but i think they were resolved in later ones. but I could be wrong

np! normally i suggest reverting as a first thing but since your issue started with a corrupt file due to update i think reinstalling the whole game will fix it ( at least higher chance than reverting gpu drivers) and gotcha, yeah the repairs dont get everything (or just cant detect it) so if your internet can do it try reinstalling first if you dont mind!

i'm assuming my problems might be somehow mixed. as i receive graphical glitches, blackouts and even crashes with really weird effects, that might not entirely be the fault of a corrupt file. or corrupt files at all. maybe it's somehow overloading my graphics card or so, causing various kind of effects. but that's also just a theory. in the end i can only try out everything step by step.

mhmm, i will point out that if you maxed out all graphics settings manually cuz of your gpu then dont do that lol. max rendering is really unoptimized and will fps drop even 3090's

if you want to eliminate overloading gpu as a problem, try setting global graphics setting to medium and restart. if issues go away then thats the issue

well that's my base configuration, just that i set some settings a bit lower and reduced FPS to 30 (i'm using a 60" TV, so only 30Hz)
but you're right the issues are away when i reduce to medium or lowest settings...
so i guess it's either my graphics drivers or a recent update of honkai did something that my GPU has problems with

First few chapters are not fully voiced in JP as well as a lot of events and limited time things. It's not an issue there's just no no dub for it. Changing to the CN dub has more voiced in general but it's up to you. Main story wise it'll be all voiced after chapter 3 iirc

as for the other bugs i still need to know more about your computer by sending the screenshots in these instructions #🔌technical-help message. tbh it sounds like your computer cannot run the game properly due to its gpu or something because no it doesnt have this many bugs

sounds like you just had a funky installation then. if your computer and windows and drivers are all perfectly fine as you say then i know that the game is not this buggy out of the gate so it sounds like your computer didnt install it right. reinstalling should fix everything assuming there are no other issues.

just the Honkai Impact 3rd\Games\BH3_Data\StreamingAssets\Video and Asb folders. other stuff can sometimes glitch out when copying and tbh only the video folder is 100% fine to copy over. but asb is usually fine too. other stuff gets like config files generated when downloaded that need to be downloaded normally

no the pc client is pretty stable, though custom setting everything to max (most notably the rendering) is very unoptimized, even 3090's have lag spikes on that. if you did set everything to max manually and have been overclocking your gpu to chase good fps then it could crash if your gpu runs out of resources. if you custom set everything to max then just set the default (the change everything) setting to max and it should stop crashing.

though if you havent done any of that i'd need to see the display tab of dxdiag to see what all driver you are running and stuff since some recent nvidia drivers have been bad with honkai

yeah i think they fixed the driver thing in the latest so its probably the settings thing. like i said they made the default max work fine with higher end gpu's but they havent optimized the max rendering so it sucks really high end gpus hard. just set this default to max and i'tll look pretty much the same but will perform much better

never heard of it so no idea though theres no magical way to make your hardware work better if its below the minimum, though i would warn that fps boosters are in general risky things and a lot of people get their accounts hacked from them (like seriously, half of the genshin account hacks are from people downloading fps boosters) so unless you really really REALLY trust it i wouldn't recommend anything like that

if your fps is unstable then i'd recommend lowering the graphics. if they're already as low as they can go then theres not much that can be done really since the device is below the minimum requirement

keep in mind that that chart is a year old now and the game has gotten significantly more grahpics intensive since then. pretty much every patch it gets a little more intensive and that tier list was from before APHO 2 came out. long story short thats pretty out of date (its all we really have for great detail list but its out of date so gotta bump things down about 1 tier for the most part) I'd set your graphics from max to tier 3 or HD or maybe even a hair lower for when you're doing the new story stuff since thats really intensive compared to the rest of the game

Hello, i'm having quite bit of an issue Top-up in this game! I tried like the suggestion in the pin comment, but i still don't know what to do. ok so its an issue with your graphics card, tbh 2GB is not enough to properly render the game (which your dedicated graphics card has) and while your integrated graphics is enough you'll need to set the game to use integrated graphics specifically and update the drivers for it. Oh and also when playing honkai (since you only have 8Gb of ram) try to not have too much else open.

oh sorry, 2GB of VRAM (video ram) your nvidia graphics card only has 2GB and the game needs more than that but your integrated graphics card (part of your intel CPU) can use as much regular RAM as it needs as VRAM so thats why switching to that will help

Yup I know, it's a pretty decent laptop tbh but honkai just needs more than 2gb of VRAM which if you go into the Nvidia control panel like that second link says you can tell honkai to use the Intel integrated graphics which should fix it after you update the drivers for it. But yeah it's all good it's actually not a bad laptop

The mirror ones are the patch files, some people don't want launcher, have poor connection so cannot download through launcher etc.

I fixed the issue with not being able to open honkai with the infinite elevator screen

in my case since I upgraded my wifi speed, I couldn't do almost anything and didn't knew what was going on, turns out my provider used ipv6 instead of using the usual, so I changed that in my router and It worked fine

are you login in the correct server? GLB have a server selection in the upper right corner, SEA has their own game/server ver.

you can try go to hoyolab and check battle chronicles to see your account info (Server/LVL/Valk...)

right, the patch update via the launcher, the manual download is what the launcher is downloading. if you extracted it and it started the download again then the manual download you did is corrupted so it restarted the download, normally when you click download after putting the file in the right place and getting rid of the tmp one it will just extract for a minute and then say launch and let you in the game. edit: unless you're talking about you freshly installed the launcher and the launcher itself is downloading like that 100mb update or something to update the launcher itself and nothing related to the game. but as far as the download speed goes, if 50-60kb is significantly slower than your regular internet speed then thats a connection issue, try this stuff to fix it #🔌technical-help message
