youd need an injection bot in order to get sandbox dinos on a survival server. otherwise, you need to make the server a sandbox server.

Rex is a survival dinosaur so it will appear on selection screen. So just pick it and grow it.
Spino is sandbox and majority of servers you'd need to get nested/or buy one with their discord currency.
So you'd have to ask in whatever unofficial server you play on.

But also, steam maintenance was today and sometimes that messes things up. Some people used to find servers, then after a maintenance, they can't anymore.

There's still Legacy servers 🙄 they are just a pain to find. You'll have to join with alternative ways. (Ignore the Evrima pushers)

The way I join the server I play on is by favoriting their IPs and joining thru steam rather than using the search.

Just keep in mind, Official Legacy servers don't exist anymore. Only Unofficial.

Spinos you can get through sandbox servers or if someone is nesting them. There are no official servers on Legacy so you’d have to try unofficials. Just avoid the Chinese ones

Quetz and all the other Dev dinos got yeeted by the Devs years ago. (You can thank hackers for ruining it for everybody).
Only way to play them now is to install the old version of Legacy, which Asura does have a server for that but it's dead AF.

Your best bet is to be in a server that already has a legacy server first so you can use their IP to join. Otherwise you’ll only find Chinese hack servers. The search option will most likely not work since it’s outdated and broken 99% of the time.

My best advice would be to use a third party map, you can google "isle map". you and your friend put in your coordinates and get a grip on where you area at. if you guys are super far try meeting up halfway, or restart and hope for a closer spawn. also some unoffical servers have friend codes you can use to spawn closer to a friend. hope this helps a little bit
