If you are trying to host a server from in game and get a black screen, that is because of recent legacy updates. At the moment you cannot use that feature, and it is broken.

Ait, i swapped back to classic serv, wanted to play rex, load in on a serv, can't attack, can't open the pause meny with ESC, can open the tab menu to view my stats, and can't open chat, all i could do was, well, run, and use calls, checked my settings, literally don't have the settings to adjust, help?

Tried relogging, reopening the game, i found some settings that was under "other", but they didn't seem to really adjust anything in game even if i changed them, and well, i can't actually open the in game settings menu, as well, my ESC won't open the pause menu

Could you ask him to go to

AppData\Local\TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsClient

To get here press windows key + R and then type %localappdata%

And check if he has a file called GameUserSettings or something like that.

And if he does, find any option related to graphics and set all the numbers to 0. Then press Ctrl + s to save it

Here is an example. I play on Evrima atm so I cant remember if its the same for legacy but should be easy to find.

I have tried re mapping the L turn S for walk backworks and even with default mapping, and re mapping, restarting computer unistalling game, i still am not able to walk around or look around at all to play the game. No it is not the keyboard every other game I can activley walk and use WASD. I have looked on the steam community for help did see they have an issue with controls followed the directions --> Type %APPDATA% in there and open your %APPDATA% folder.
At the top you'll see the filepath, click "Appdata" to go back to the actual Appdata folder, then to local > TheIsle > delete the "Saved" folder............ their is no "appdata" to go back to or an actual folder with the file pathway listed above. please let me know if this is not the appropriate channel to ask for help in

The texture quality of the dinos dropped drastically after I switched graphics cards. I already installed the latest drivers for my new card from Nvidia, and messed around with the settings and render scale. But alas, my Utah remains scrubbed with the blurr brush.

Don't really know where this belongs, I tried to play the game yetserday, tried to create a host game, than set Sandbox and some things, when I clicked next on the last step the screen goes black, sound continues (like the menu is still going on) and nothing happens.

In steam, click “Steam” in the top left and then go to settings. From here, locate the in-game tab and then locate the max pin settings

Hiiii guys, so I've been having a problem with my The Isle game, from one day to another my game stopped working correctly, fps dropped from 60 to 10 and then back to 60, and so on, so when I'm playing at anytime the screen keeps freezing. It has been impossible to play, I already set game graphics to the lowest, reinstall the game, cleaning my pc, uninstall other games, verify game files, update windows and nvidia, even switching to evrima (evrima works perfectly fine btw, not laggy at all) and then back to legacy, but legacy just won't work. Also every other game runs perfect for me, everything is ok except Legacy. Anyone willing to help me or has been in my situation? :(

legacy is just a bugs/glitchfest from what i hear. try playing with different settings, see if anything works

My game still won’t find any servers, even after setting the ping max much lower. It doesn’t even tell me no servers were found, it just keeps looking.

You can try raising it as well, some people (like myself) have to find a “sweet spot” in order for it to work

Hello theree wonderful peeps! Would you guys know how to fix my isle legacy issue? Basically when i join
a server, it loads yes but after a minute or two, it just disconnects me for no reason and i've reinstalled it twice

can I please get some help from somebody? So, my game was running just fine yesterday, I tried loading in today and the the main menu screen is so laggy i can hardly get to the server menu, in game is just as bad. I've reset my PC twice, I've verified files, updated driver and reinstalled the game. my GPU and CPU are just fine. I set all my settings to low and capped my FPS to 60. My PC plays every other game I own just fine. I'm not sure if there was an update that messed it up, just thought maybe I could get some help, if not just letting you know an issue with the game.

right click th windows key, open windows powershell (Admin) and when you can, type reset.exe

i think is what i did

it gave me an option to factory reset my pc, deleting all files, and an option to reset while keeping my files

choose that option

It was either reset.exe or restart.exe

For anyone encountering fatal errors leading to crashes You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

So I’m having issues with my settings, I had all my controls set up perfectly and then I had to go and reset it all and now I had to fix my controls and only a few aren’t working like H for sit or attack for both second and normal attack and I can’t pull up tab or escape or anything like that. I can do the calls and sniff, run, turn how I want or use z to turn quicker but some aren’t working
