Yes, though the GPU dosnt seem to be the failure point, what my theory is, and this is just a theroy, is that there's some line of code somewhere in the game that upsets the GPU which then snowballs and fecks up everything else till the system just gives up

That's caused by a server split. It seems to happen when a server resets when you join it. Both dinos are usually safe though

You're on the legacy version. You can swap to evrima by right clicking the game in your steam library, click Properties, click Game Versions & Betas, select evrima. Or, try asking for help in #🔧-legacy-troubleshooting-🔧

Evrima is the version of the game that's in active development, and is pretty much "The Isle 2." The devs realized they couldn't do what they wanted with the game on legacy's codebase, so they started over from scratch. It does have higher minimum PC requirements, and won't run as well as legacy since it's on a pretty new version of Unreal Engine 5.

At this point the only real similarity between the two games are that you play as a dinosaur, and some of the models are the same between legacy and evrima

try relog, even if it means you have to wait some time to get on the server again. It has happened to me a few times and that seems to be the solution. It seems also to trigger when you press G/ pick up edibles a lot. that bugs out.

zoom in, does the mouth seems to be open? If so, you cant drink since it behaves like you are carrying something that is not there. Press G again, then try to drink. Relog seems to nullify all bugs

Where to verify? On steam click on the settings icon next to your game and I forget what tab it's under but under one of them there will be a box that says verify integrity of game files, click on that, let it do it's thing and it should fix the issue

Is there any to reach a Dev or someone from The Isle Team that could assist me with some troubleshooting regarding Server Rubberbanding/Lag issues? We tried everything from stress testing to testing the Network all the way to adjusting the .ini files. We can't figure out why every server we setup with different Hosting Providers is badly Rubberbanding without any kind of Lag Spikes.

This normally happens when too many people all try to log on at the exact same time, it overloads the servers and they stop letting new people in, they are working on fixing it so id say give it about 20 mins or so. Other servers and unofficial should be fine though

I came back to the game after a very long time, instantly met with a bug that makes the game unplayable.

My screen is stretched out to hell and back on the main menu and I physically cannot select any of the options due to them being stretched off the screen.

How can I even remedy that?

Whilst I would love to provide a screenshot, the game seems set up in such a way that using my print screen button makes it go psycho for a few seconds then refuse to function.

I believe I've found the cause for the servers not showing up; my campus's wifi has some restrictions on it, and I believe that may be getting in the way of the game, similar to a firewall. @ashen oracle thats pure silly lol. its a game. theres a big text on the screen saying "undergoing development" regardless not much i can say as idk them. To me even if its under development. this game has a big potential. what lured me the most was the gameplay videos out of the blue popping out on Youtube and Instagram. when this is done, this game will be on top for a long time. simple mechanics. nothing over complicated. and none restricted player count in groups(even limit applies, you can still group with no name indicators in official servers) its perfect to play with friends in big groups. i cant wait what they have in store for the player base, just need more ai to survive if servers have sort of dead servers during certain times.

There are laptops that have integrated GPUs specifically to handle a decent threshold for gaming without a dedicated video card, but those are not the integrated GPUs that are having problems running games because they're integrated (probably), but rather because their capabilities still usually aren't as good as dedicated video cards.

I was playing with an Allosaurus on the US 6 server when I started hunting a deer and realized it wasn't taking any damage. A few seconds later, I was disconnected from the server, which said my client had been disconnected, even though I had a good internet connection. After a few attempts that lasted less than a minute to reconnect, I noticed that my dinosaur had simply disappeared. I went back to the selection screen and found this Allosaurus 70% grown and very close to its Elder Prime form.

Is this chat just for the game's server/launching/and settings type problems or can I express my concerns about the increasing problems of the playability for Troodons? leaps are too inconsistent. a perfect leap to your target's side can go many different ways. a leap could just go straight through the target (dangerous if near cliffs and drops or in a fight with many targets). They can leap, and once on the target, you just instantly spawn under the dino leaving you in a clear shot to be (almost indefinitely one-hit killed) and not talking about a leap to the head area that would leave you stunned in front which is also a death nearly 100% as well) they can even just not work at all even with the required stam at availability and a clear shot. This tiny dino requires the game to function as close to 100% of the time that it can, but lately its not at all. makes playing it now seem very pointless. and the broken leaps just the tip, they have a very bad time pulling organs off dino kills, the chance of spawning in the northern area seems to be increasing, like spawning there 3/5 times in a row and its the worst spawn for this dino. its imperative for its priming let alone survivability at that fresh start stage to have crabs and turtles yet they NEVER spawn in ANY northern beach trust me ive tried over 20 times starving to death every single time. also spawning in at like 9 speed or so takes distance traveling off the options and as well as obtaining deer, chickens, and rabbits off the table its just a major waist of time trying to start one off. No mentions of balancing dmg or speed or anything, but if the attacking and eating can just work the way its intended it would be great. Especially now that dinos are getting wiped left and right. rather have my 2hour troodon wiped then my 19 hour lived prime trike or rex.

The EU servers have been updated to fix bugs caused by high demand. This may have caused some conflict with previous saves of yours. The old dino is gone and you are reset to prevent conflict

No worries! The servers have been under a lot of stress as of late, whilst we are loosing progress it at least means they are working to make things more stable, it's a good thing in the long run even if a pain to deal with right now!

I am having issues being stuck on loading assets while connecting to any server. I have redownloaded it and verified game files. I have also updated drivers

Iv had that before, it was an issue establishing a connection to the servers that caused it for me, if it's the EU servers, they've been having some trouble recently, so don't worry it's not your PC or the game causing the problem :3

No worries, if youre happy growing smaller dinos for a bit that'd be the move, otherwise unofficials will likley not be as affected should you wish to try again with rex

Is there anything myself and friends can do to reduce the crashing/DCing? The last couple days when playing on unofficial server we have been crashing and if one crashes it seems 2 or more of anyone in our group also crashes.

This may help, it resets all settings... clear your config folder,
Here is a step by step guide: (can improve performance as well)

• If running The Isle, exit the game.,
• Press the Windows key,
• Type %localappdata% then press Enter.,
• Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.,
• Open the "Saved" folder.,
• Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.,
• Restart the game.

Sorry this is something long time players have experienced many times before when servers are being updated and or public testing is about to start, it’s just something we expect now, the Devs have announced wipes before, but not always immediately before, (they try not to wipe, but tech issues can force it) I know it sucks… by the way when Hordetesting starts wipes happen regularly on those servers

its just sucks then. i personally knew and always wanted to try this game for many years . Now it did and spend over 100 hours in last two weeks and just like that lost multiple dinos and progress in one go . no much motivation to grind if there is no guarantee you wont lose it again

So reading through since my last message yesterday around 4 there are tons of people that are losing dinos that take hours to grow over the span of (for me) 3 weeks between multiple dinos getting to prime and then loosing them that the general response is its just gone and its a server issue. So the game is in an unplayable state as once getting to prime (the big update) you loose everything if you safe log. Its pointless and happening on every server. Time to uninstall and wait another year again 😅 shame since I finally just installed it again to play the elder system.
