feather cape deserved every nerf it got
no, nerfs are bad.
Like okay fine the fire weakness isnt that bad but removing the jump is bleh
It's in a good spot now, the jump stamina reduction is perfect and the weakness is worth it
Yea but the extra jump was nice i miss it
The feather cape is fine and i still like it but i hate nerfs i don't care what they are.
If the mead was as expensive as it used to be there would be a problem, but it's easy to get consistently now
i thought i remembered it using hare trophies
Me too the fire felt needed because it can be easily offset
Yea fire resistance is cheap so its fine
It did, and now it takes scale hide which is much less luck-dependent
I still like the ashen cape though
I made it when it took the trophy
ahh well the only reason i use the feather cape in the ashlands is because it looks best with emblas set
Oh for me i literally refuse to not use ashen i need that extra armor
the asksvin cape looks good with nothing, except maybe asks set.
the ashen cape is peak except for the fact it completely blocks out your entire face with emblas set
I forgot what it does because it's butt ugly
A small price to pay for salvation
the asksvin cape?
Yea i made it though it was ugly and never touched it again
You run faster and when running with the wind it costs significantly less stamina
everyone complaining about the feather cape nerf but no one complaining about the ask cape nerf lol
bruh what who gives a fuck about run stamina at the point of the ashlands where you have skill 75+ in running š
yall wonder why the swamp has no cape
Well ngl when i got to Ashlands my skills were in the 30s ive just done a lot since then
jeus
I was wanting a flesh cape ngl
my run skill is 96 in the mistlands
My learning curve of this game was bad i died a lot early on but nowadays not so much
think it was monstrum + armory but you can get a flesh cape
What
made out of rotten deer meat + maggot pelts
disgusting but it gives you poison resist
Jesus Christ Ashlandās with 30 skills?
Yes
Im on mountains with 40s
It was unbelievably hard
Is 30 pre death or post dying
just turn down death penalty at that point cuz š„“
Idk i floated at 30 ish because i kept dying
I solo ran the game with no guide
30s does sound like a struggle, from what I seen with Ingame dev tools youāre meant to be around 50-60 for mistlands - Ashlandās
iiii mean i did too technically...i didn't find my way to the server here until weeks ago after i already finished the ashlands experience
-# skill levels are honestly not that important
They are
they're important to my soul, hi scarlet.
-# like, they help, but gear upgrades are far more important
They basically increase all your shit by around 40%+ that's damage stamian consumption bow draw time etc
Im currently on lvl 57
bow and run and jump and magic and farming and cooking.
Yeah blood magic for that extra shield
Idk how do i check my skills lmao i only know when they level up
they're important if you actively level them*
look in the menu for things and that stuff in the corner for things
What English
inventory screen, top right to the right of the raven icon
Yes, but also there is a few biomes of difference between those levels basically, i would say at least 3 between 50 and 100 or even more, the difference beween equipment 3 or more biomes apart is WAY bigger š
its like yeah if you look over where it probably is
I've legit never used that menu
Crazy
No I'm completely serious
Is this your first playthrough?
hello completely serious
Technically yes but ive played others worlds
Same character its why my skills are high i did most of the game 3 times
Oh yea
ahh witchie-poo my beloved š„°
I have maxed out this world pretty much
Got every trophy ive beaten fader twice i got every ashlands weapon did all mini bosses yada yada
Im just kinda dreading making a new world but i suppose I'll play this one again when the north comes out
I assume you don't have the fishing hat then.
No i HATE FISHING MAN
Another fishing hater š„²
Also i accidentally made like 15 asksvins in my pen so
Oh bro my skills are so cooked
don't make me drag you to the black forest to get troll fish for me
fishing can be enjoyable
Bro i did that for the potion and wanted to get angry
The fishing for some reason makes me angy
Yea also all my main skills are like 95+
There are a few i never use like fists of knives
I just got the lamest moder fight ever, I built a little trench underneath the altar and she managed to spawn there and is stuck and unable to get out
That-
oh crap she managed to get out finally
hmm
Bro i had to clear item drops because it was lagging my game out i need to use the obliterator more
why are you not already
i need too much wood for building my kilns haven't seen use in an age because of the obliterator
Well because i have about 10 surtling farms
I dont need coal and i already smelted down everything but my flametal so idk i don't need coal so ive been dropping garbage in my pit
Who needs more coal when i have like 20 piles
You will š soon enough
okay well moder felt lame this time around, she kept getting stuck on the castle and in the trench sometimes when landing, or spazzing out while mine and her hitboxes clipped and being unable to attack
my first time ever fighting her it was a deadly battle and i died a few times and dont remember her bugging out at all tbh
more of everything for more stuff
I seriously doubt I'll need more
Like i can show you what metals i have imo i dont need MORE
Maybe copper if that gets a use
next you're gonna tell me you throw away black metal, and don't break every single piece of ancient armour and weapon, and don't mine all the flametal you see, and don't sap mountains dry of silver.
Well i hate the mistlands so yea i literally made a farm i barely touch and that's it. As for silver well i have enough for an army and flametal ahahahah one sec I'll show you how much i have
Bruh moder unearthed like 164 silver for me
iron and copper have infinite uses
I can max my frostner and silver armor now
Like? Other than nails
But I think im just gonna try rush padded
do you build
iron beams, iron torches, copper sconces, dvergr gates and stairs and walls, iron bars
Iron? Yea iron ik but iron isnt copper. And i dont really use that stuff to build
Other than my pet house
iron gates are good doors
copper for dverg wall lantern
10 copper to make hanging braziers š
oh, and 5 tin as well
Yo so uhhh, thereās the sound of someone mining come from my swamps somewhere ???
Itās a solo world so Iām really confused rn
valheim-obrine...š±
schizo viking pog
Omg it was steam background recording of me in the plains earlier š¤¦āāļø š¤£
For some reason it was playing even with the overlay hidden
Also can I just say ratatosk mead is such a game changer
Iāve been using it every single moment since Iāve gotten it and the best part of it is it helps you find the ingredients needed to craft it faster
10 blueberries 10 honey and some coins for an hours worth of speed is a godsend
ikr
Yeah, I didnāt use them for a while at first but now Iām addicted to ratatosk and lightfoot.
My viking getting liver cirrhosis from all that Ratatosk tonic he consumes.
ein deutscher bock auf entspannt vahlheim
it clicked through
valheim has this funny overlay issue where you can click things through it
Ahhh
Also has anyone found a decent use for troll endurance mead yet
Because so far Iāve only had one genuine use case for it being carrying two dragon eggs up at the same time for the moder fight
Could have carried all 3 too if I didnāt have 1 already up there
ore grinding
With it only lasting 5 minutes?
one such example is silver
make a bench n chest
pop the node
load the ore inside the chest
pop the potion
run back
hate the duration though
i like bread
hmm maybe but realistically a node usually drops around 80-100 so it would be two trips minimum
A cart down the mountain would be just one tripā¦
read: lazy ass
true but a physics hating thing in one of the most uneven and hostile places of the world
are there seriously people that don't throw carts down the sides of mountains?
But I mean I guess, I donāt bother with either I just run from mountain to base this playthrough repeatedly carrying 27 at a time lol
Those things i swear to god dont emit light
they look good though
Agreed i have them
I think troll endurance should make heavy carts easier to carry too
plus at 1000 weight the cart becomes very hard to move
as it stands I feel itās use cases are extremely limited compared to the other potions
another use is building projects
throw it off the mountain
as you can't build with no stamina, but alas you can just chuck the bmats onto the floor
Yeah and have the resources already set up for easy installation at the building site
Carts SUCK
I used one once and decided its a waste of time
agreed, Iāve only used them a handful of times on my current world, to transport resources from the east coast to my base on the west coast
low hp, reliant on physics/slopes/even surfaces, and a target for enemies
also you can't decon a cart, only destroy it
I think the only major use case I can think of for carts is going to the woods to chop wood
and I guess silver down a mountain side lol
where you might get 100% of the materials used for it back, or not
not to mention the cart gets damaged by merely moving it around
What we need is a catapult that can transport resources lol
Add a payload that can hold 4 stacks of items
Throwing yourself down in the cart is the fun part
They can
^
and are helpless against mosquitos
not the whole ocean
But boats
i think you can fit them on a ship
but fitting one of the fattest fucks in the game onto a ship
yeah
Longship yeah but I heard they can get aggroed off it
i can swim the whole ocean
In my first playthrough we moved two loxes across 2-3 islands to our base by making them swim
and definitely drakkar lol
Iāve still never tamed wolves in the game
I think half the reason is because I usually donāt bother taming boar either so donāt really have much meat to spare for taming
I just did it recently now i have so many it lags my base
Wolf pelts for life
You should go on a rampage with the butcher knife
I did and now i have a black chest of wolf meat
why would you kill puppies
I overstock food i should show you my feast table
For some delicious wolf meat skewers
horrible
My logic is i use the food from the biomes i go to. To explore those biomes
Because then i dont waste my good stuff
The wolves try to eat us. Is that horrible?
eyescream n skewers are easy
just make more good stuff, i know i do, i'd rather have the extra stamina because why not..
considering the sources of those materials always come to you
it sounded like the context was tamed animals
Yea but that takes TIMMEEEE
tamed wolves = puppies
Rn I have. Mushroom shortage from all the skewers and serpent stew Iāve been cooking up
Tamed wolf only exist to kill the goblins in my plains and feed me
Tamed wolves make better skewers š
guys wait till you hear this horrifying fact, i am using misthare supreme and salad while building š±
In the plaaaaiiiiinns š»
Iām not the best mushroom forager
he doesn't have shroom pins
Real shit though i have so much asksvin meat i might burn it
And if you think that's dumb i have something for you
you have askvin meat to use for all the lesser biomes, where is this tiiiiiime that you're talking about making good food.
save the puppies
Yea but i can farm that i can farm fiddleheads now can i mate
meat for coal, trophies for the oblit
I unlocked mustard supreme while still in mountain tier circumventing a mistlands biome there were just jotun puffs and hares that were easy to hunt
Its easy when one asksvin drops 24 MEAT
so I have the recipe but no way to make it yet however I will have an oven pretty soon
mustard supreme
Mustard supreme
cooking skill for some reason also can double the coal from burnt food
master chef
i'm going to use gifs even if i can't, one of these days the mainframe might shatter and give me perms
It truly is a shame we canāt post gifs or screenshots here
you should have fucking 80k fiddlehead then
Bruh i HATE HATE HATE HATE the Ashlands
doesn't it already drop multiple and spawn everywhere on normal drop rates
Yes
git gud š
Okay the 3x drop rates actually explains your low lvl for skills and Ashlandās tier
Duly noted
idk how it does....less time spent getting things less time spent practicing stuff,,?..
I have no shame im solo and i give my resources to my other players in their worlds so i do kinda need it
Less time mining trees using pickaxe less time running back and forth less time
which playthrough'th is this of yours
Itās not about shame itās just I was wondering how lvl 30 skills in Ashlandās and that piece of info has connected the dots as obi said less time building up skills due to increased drops
Well i have one world but as i said i help 3 other people in theres
So my skills got basically power leveled as i was fighting everything
I literally had like 6 different firefights in the plains
On god bro that village had 4 berserkers and 3 mages and like at LEAST 20 normal ones and mosquitoes ive never seen enemies that dense since
"raiseskill run 100"
No im not at 100 hajajanajahaja
Im at high 90ish on that the only skill ive OUTRIGHT 99 is slash and thats because i use axes and swords the most by a large margin
I think the new skills like cooking are still sub 50 for me
lol my swords skill is 0 Iām all in on frostner this run
And some investment in atgeirs and bows
Bows are my love
i hate sticking to a skill, all of my weapon skills are at about 40 right now except for magic, crossbows & atgeirs which i am currently leveling.
Well my blood magic is INSANELY high from memory
Ive used that dead raiser and staff so much its actually a joke
Iād love to round out my weapon skills but rn I just donāt have the resources for all the weapons
less doing = less skill learned
mining out an entire black forest does wonders for mining skill on 1x
Actually lemme just check my skills i got a second
add in factor of dying lots
Like rocks an all or just the ores?
ores
Yea i died a lot in the latter half
meadows has lots of rocks to crack
Ores lots of time
Also why are golems in the forest faction is there lore on this
greydwarves are reanimated souls of dead people taken the form of well, that
Itās to make them fight wolves and drakes
Leeches arenāt undead but are put in the undead faction so they donāt fight swamp enemies. Faction names are never shown to the player in-game so you donāt need to think about the specific faction something is on, just what it is and isnāt friendly with.
Stone golems likely have no connection to the forest, that was just chosen to make them hostile to the mountains
given that no matter how many times you kill a golem
it just keeps coming right back for more punishment
Oh okay yes but why are growth undead
To fight fulings
Yea but why undead SPECIFICALLY
and lox
So they fight plains enemies.
It could be any other faction and the gameplay would be exactly the same and you would never know without external information
Well i guess oil is dead shit so
Blobs are undead, and itās likely they were duplicated as a starting point for growths in development
Noted
although golems are immune to drakes
āLikelyā basically guaranteed lmao, hell they duped troll for loxes
i repeat, it never gets old seeing a golem slap a drake out of the air
Im not into coding at all wym by duped
Ctrl c ctrl v
Yea but they're different
fulings are more like boars
You could just say duplicated.
Theyād duplicate the blobās files then edit those so they donāt have to make everything from scratch
then edit into a lox
smack you, run around in circles, repeat
Is that why lox have terrible ai
Because of their troll hitbox and large hitbox in general
Iāve never noticed their ai being terrible
Mhm
lox are so stupid you don't even need to be sneaking to "backstab" them
I could drive a refrigerator at highway speeds better than the lox move
the best place to not notice their ai suck is in open flat plains
they're that dumb
they move like the game is a grid, suddently stopping and turning 90 degrees to the left or right then moving in that direction then stopping and turning 90 degrees towards you then stopping.
like playing fucking chess
They kinda move like gold generals in shogi
Which enemy has the best ai?
wolves or greydwarfs
Trolls are top tier greydrawfs are also braindamaged wolves are amazing hmmm
they do one thing and one thing only, chase your ass no matter where you go
and when you actually pull out a weapon to beat them, they just turn tail and dodge it
Hmmmmmmmmm....best ai in terms of what? reliably dangerous or complex?
fulings are harder to deal with but when you're fighting only one of them their hit and run combat style is actually really pathetic
i notice that fuling berserkers alert other fulings to your position if they roar
best ai in terms of feeling right
pretty neat
itās completely based on your perception
if a shaman is feeling particularly evil, they can give deathsquitos shields
They love to just randomly diagonal run
I will agree that wolf ai is relentless
Seekers are great enemies because their tallest attack only reaches 2m up
most enemies in the ashlands seemed pretty good except for the morgen, stupid fucking rollie pollies, easily parryable.
So im basing it in how well their pathing works and how well they hunt the player
fulings when i middle mouse click my atgeir
They roll like 30 feet away from me Everytime
So, wolves and draugr would be good?
Wraiths too
Wolves more so draugr are decent but kinda get stuck a tad on the terrain
Draugr work pretty good yeah
bow draugr are menaces
Anything that flies has decent AI
draugr are just beefier skeleton ai, boring.
How is vulture and askvin ai?
Vulture is good, the dogs are okay too
Vulture is just average
Sea serpent ai does a decent job for the most part although I feel like they should t just randomly stop chasing you sometimes
Volture.
It does what it needs to fine. Doesnāt really have complex movements .
I feel like they lose interest after an x amount of time
Pretty much
if enemies can't hit the player, they tend to skamper about
I think as long as itās storming or night they should be relentless
and then back off during the day as theyāre clearly overgrown angler fish
which can be a pain
I wouldn't know because i chase them
I literally just shoot them and pile drive them š
I need to collect the scales so I gotta harpoon them and have them chase me into land
Oh fair the scales sink right?
meat floats
You donāt need a harpoon. Kill them by a beach and make a diving ladder
that is true but the harpoon is just convenient
Yea no see i was kinda lucky because i literally beached my boat and the serpent somewhere and just shot it to death got a trophy
If I drag the serpent onto a Black Forest shore I can have the local gremlins berate him and throw rocks at the idiot too
Idk they always spawn right in front of my face
Im no coward I'll slam my boat into the serpent
How effective is that strategy in terms of damage? Iāve never tried it lol
Doesn't do lots of damage but it causes my screen to vibrate a bit and its funny
Usually they're a bit under the water so the bottom of my boat hits it and i full stop and shoot it to death with frost arrows
Jajajajajaan
Also am i the only one that goes from no enemies to a small army in 5 seconds when in the Ashlands
Ashlands has higher spawn rates than other biomes
Yea but WHY YYYYY
It already has spawners EVERYWHERE
Its like making the enemies do a Godzilla amount of damage wasnt enough
Because you were told to prepare for war.
And that doesn't mean you throw lox-pies at the occasional thief you notice when walking in a park. It means fighting for each and every inch of progress you have to make.
Eh fair enough the Ashlands had me fighting for a portal every 100 feet
Ashlands is designed to be a more combat-focused biome than the others
Lord reto needs a trophy bruh i did allat for not even a trophy the mf can almost pop my 680 hp shield in one hit
Evidently
I would have liked to see more bigger enemies like the morgen though the bonemaw is cool i really like that add more sea shit
Morgens and valkyries is enough big enemies for one biome
(Big enemies and bouncy Vikings donāt go well together)
Well take the troll its of my favorite enemies in the game because its fun to fight at any level
Good ai i like the way it attacks i like the fact i can out position it
Same with abominations i just wish they didnt have so much knockback
I loved a flying big enemy like the fallen valks they're cool and give good drops
Name me one unfun big enemy (besides the lox they're ruined by their ai)
Lox are just too spongy and dumb af so they end up being a dummy that just randomly does a 180 then a 90 and another 90 and tries to hit me
Literally moves like a fridge
Do greydwarf brutes count as big?
With stars, fuling berserkers and morgens take too long to kill
But without stars theyāre generally good
No
Berserkers nah they're easy to bait into hits morgens move around too much though
2400 hp is excessive I'll grant you that
But again morgens have 4800
5000 hp is what i describe as too spongy
The stars make them near-impossible to stagger too so it takes a lot longer than killing three 0-star of the same enemy
And morgens are 0.5x resistant to physical

Yea exactly morgens annoy me they're WAYYY too tanky
The normal ones have 1600 hp which feels fine
I think tankier enemies should get a smaller health increase with stars, although I suggested it before the server hack and people donāt agree
Yea well they're weird they think longer to kill means harder
Great i had to dodge hit hit dodge hit hit 3x as much SO MUCH HARDER
At least the staff of protection gives me 690 hp
Its worth eating my health bar for
You donāt need any health if youāre using that staff right
Real shit boss abilities suck like yagluth gets outdone by potions fader is useful but niche elder might as well not exist eikthyr is weirdly solid early game moder is even more niche and queen is EVEN MORE niche
Rather be safe than sorry i use one feast one two eitr typically
That gives me a solid amount of hp
Sometimes i do double feast and hp
Iām trying perfectly balanced health and stamina for my current playthrough as an excuse to use the new feasts
Well the ashlands stuff and mistlands give 75 75 38 and 65 65 33 respectively
At my skill level 70 etir is enough for small tasks
Iām planning on using magic later in the playthrough but I wonāt be using feasts then
For Ashlands i run 2 feasts and 1 etir
Which gives me 161 etir
195 (total) hp
155 stamina
I find thats usually enough i bring my dead raiser my staff of the wild and staff of protection
That way i only need to bring 1 food with me
considering getting a steam deck, wonder how it runs valheim if anyone has done it ?
Mine runs it fairly well
sweet, watching this atm looks promising https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9sphPmFmV8
#valheim-help message
hereās my graphics settings if youāll want them
yea. whoever said that this game was balanced for solo, i dont believe that. how tf am i expected to beat a boss that i cant even touch because im too busy getting 1 tapped by him even with the food that they said i need to eat
food thats actually barely better than the fish i had been using
which boss is that ?
elder. i had beat him in the past. have no idea how tho been long time
i first tried bonemass and moder
oh elder i only died first attempt then i knew how to prepare for the bosses lol
elder has only a few moves and its easy to move around them i think, i used only bow
yea but im too busy wasting all my stamina running to get away from those attacks
when he throws that root projectile = sprint to dodge, when the adds spawn on your position, move away
yeah manage that stamina , i personaly used honey and two meats so i didnt have much stam to begin with
cant manage it. if i stop i die. if i keep going i cant attack.
you wont die if you stop, because theres always a cooldown in elder's moves
doesnt seem to be
the root projectile attack for example doesnt track your position 100%
im barely staying out of them. by the time i get away from 1 attack hes started his next and so on
you simply dodge by sprinting out of the way
always make sure you save enough stamina to move
yea. thus the issue
after i learnt some of the basics i been one trying all the bosses after elder now lol
im sure theres recorded boss kills on elder on youtube
like clean kills so ppl can learn how they position and manage their stamina etc
Which weapons are you using to fight the Elder?
https://valheim.fandom.com/wiki/The_Elder shows their weaknesses and resistances if any too, which helps for bosses
i used fire arrows
Heh.
when elder spawns the adds under your feet, you move away and it resolves the entire attack
Hey, that's unusual, I don't have a single edit on that page.
i got it. the attack that was killing me was going thru trees. i am standing behind the pillars and its fine now. sprinting was the wrong tip.
also the root projectile is completely blocked by the stone pillars on the summoning location
that would be what i just said.
i also just used those pillars as shields, but i have killed him without also haha
sprinting isnt the wrong tip cause you can simply move out of the way, the roots will follow you abit but it wont track as fast as your sprinting
except, when they do.
you just need to sprint further away, and have enough stamina to do so
10 - 30 stamina shd be enough based on how far elder is
if i need alot of corewood i just get elder to mow down all the pine trees for me haha
Hmm I feel moving away from the Elder isnāt the best move. When youāre far from him, thatās when he does his ranged attack. Personally, I like to stay close, dodge the stomp, and kill the roots basically as he summons them (the ones near me) so I can continue putting out damage.
that's what his pilars are for
The pillars are useful definitely, I just donāt think theyāre necessary.
yea. thats what i sorta remember doing my first time. this time, i couldnt seem to get him to stomp so idk
you have to be fairly close to have him stomp
was irght under him
weird, out of the 100ish times i've fought him, never had a stomp issue
just killed him. its alll good
Anyone else had issues with going right at times? I randomly can't go right holding down the D key
Or any direction of that matter
Might honestly be my keyboard just dying or sum
are feasts worth making at all? looking at the wiki and it seems like the whole is less than the sum of the parts
I'd say they're utterly game-changing when it comes to food, yes.
i mean, the swamp one requires 8 sausages and gives you less health than just eating the sausage
For 8 sausages, you get like what- 7 to 8 hours of use? Thatās pretty good š
7 to 8 hours of wolf jerky equivalent
Theyāre not super powerful or anything, but theyāre really useful for just doing some leisurely activities.
It lasts a decent amount longer than wolf jerky, which is noteworthy. Imo at least.
But yeah, wolf jerky is pretty cool too š
they're ok, i use feasts for around the base, building etc, but for boss fights, the other foods seem to outperform it. by the time you get a certain feast, the next teir food is already significantly better
they make great decorations though, and i think they're a cool part of the game. they're also cheap to make
right now i'm playing hard mode, no map, no portal, so maybe feasts would be better if i didn't need every bit of HP/stam as possible
i diid totally use the ocean feast to fight bonemass
hey people hoy do you use wild maypoles? do you build your room or house just right next to them? range seems soo little im not sure how to integrate it to my house
Sausages are the GOAT
Put it next to your bed or whatever is the rest spot
yah i cant put it its a generated one, but i guess yeah i will need to build arround it somehow
19 comfort level is goated though
Yea i mean i know its "cheating" but if you want one THAT BAD just place one using commands or something
Not even remotely what they're asking.
any reason i would randomly acquire the ceramic plate recipe
anyone know if there's a client side mini-map mod that we could give a guy on our vanilla server, he rage quit and the rest of us are playing no map, but we don't want him to leave lol?
because you walked within the radius of an upgraded artisan table and the character has already "discovered" black marble prior to that?
recipes unlock once you've discovered all ingredients, crafting stations and their levels count as an ingredient, and discovering them is done by simply being within their radius
i can't put surtling cores on item stands either, worst game ever.
Took me a bit to realize how to make the feasts
i simply didn't make every type of meal
and i didn't realize said feasts needed a meal for it
i imagine that problem's more common than ever now, i make barely any food in my playthroughs
valheim players any where š¤ barely making food
I bought 3 serving trays because I thought you placed feasts on them, not with them š
not me, i have black metal chests, need to level the skill
i'd see a man's yt essay on valheim
gameplay? exploring plains with meadows shroom, cooked boar, and honey
legit something i'd do before H&H
This is why we weren't friends before H&H.
oh something i have done it seems
can i talk about building here or do i have to go over to nerdland
you can talk about it here, i'm about to go to bed though
Always napping. š
Good night š“
should be sleep but will be a nap ;v;
got an appointment in 4 hours
I got the fishing hat
hi sildar
I stockpiled on food but like now what i got nothing to do š
is the Deep north theoretically far enough along to be released on Christmas/new years?
Wtf are half a thousand sausages gonna
I REALLY doubt it
The ashlands felt rushed and that came out recently
fair enough, 7 months isnt really enough time to build the endgame of Valheim to a finished state, as well as tidy up all the loose ends from the last few years
Prolly not I wouldnāt hope for anything in 2025 but weāll wait and see ig
Convert to coal.
If the focus is 1.0 / the deep north that really just sounds like any small updates will come after the fact.
i would hope that 1.0 (finished release) would come with a mostly debugged game, apart from incredibly niche stuff in the deep north and any extra shit they decide to add
NO!
dont convert saussage to coal
use it as common foods in safe areas (anything below the mistlands)
i don't get why everyones doing this. do you really have anything better to do post fader than hoard what you already have including ashlands tier food š§
i havent killed Fader yet, and there should be enough graustine in the ashlands to turn the spawn continent into the masonry equivilent of Kirby: Planet Robot
can i do anything about old gear? or just chuck it. wouldnt mind recycling it but its not that big a deal
armor stand
i dont care about wasting iron i barely have to show off leather armor
why not
... because showing off low teir armor in a single player world, using resources i dont have is dumb?
working thru swamps rn
I am afraid you will have to cope, Not meaning that in a rude way but you're going to need maybe a thousand or two iron throughout your playthrough so mayaswell embrace the grind for it and do a bit of building along the way, Iron nails are super duper cheap in the grand scheme of things.
sure
iiis that you seeing where i am coming from or you not liking what you hear? i can never tell with people
i agree
if otherwise you can turn up the resource rate in world modifiers like i did
whats the benefit of the longship as a solo
big, cool, fast.
not any harder to pilot? usually those are meant to be crewed.
if this is your first time i don't recommend being too minimalistic, find things out, don't worry about it, you'll like it or not but its part of the adventure.
the game is solo first and foremost.
So if you keep building up, will your shit just collapse? I can't imagine what else vertical loss means
I would always prefere the longship over the karve ... and i am mostly playing solo... the bigger hold the less wiggle steering it is just nicer
i prefer to fish with the karve
yeah that is valid...but I usually reuse the bronze nails for item stands š so i go with the longship anyways š but the karve sure can fit in tighter spots than the longship can š
me and my friend spent almost an hour playing thinking we were mad at each other for some reason because no one answered chat (we didnt know you need to be close)
stability basically
later in the game you can get more and more materials that boost it up with
/s before the message makes you shout, which can be heard across world.
several biomes have gigantic structures that are unbreakable
making for ideal base locations/supports
oooooh! im kinda introvert and didnt wanted to be forced to voice to play, really thanks a lot
by heard i mean seen*, it appears in the chat the same way the message does when you join "I HAVE ARRIVED"
Just seems odd. Cuz I could build walls infinitely high no? So does using up vertical loss mean less horizontal stability. Like 3/7 high means only 4/7 wide?
menu also has a toggle that lets other players see your current location
yes the lets others see we do found but i had no idea about the /s
maps you need a dedicated carto table for
Wait, Cartography Table isn't for placing your feasts on? š
although players can quite literally screenshot their game maps and do it that way
you could use it for a fancy desk in a slolo world but i never thought of placeing feasts on it ... good one..need to remember š
Just seems odd. Cuz I could build walls infinitely high no? So does using up vertical loss mean less horizontal stability. Like 3/7 high means only 4/7 wide?
some build pieces don't lose vertical stability
you can not build infinitly high walls
what on earth are you talking about
not with wood or stone you can
you can use the stone giant pillars in the plains as a basis
what are you building with....everything loses stability at a certain point away from ground level, horizontal or vertical.
I don't understand what vertical loss is about. I get horizontal loss. You can go this far out with this material. Vertical was just weird. Like why use iron vertical posts when you can use say core wood. I've just never seen my posts buckle or anything.
Maybe I just haven't gone high enough?
go higher
wut
O.
the problem of a high building is ignoring the temptation of chucking yourself off it
and being a safety hazard while building on it
what are we talking about with this infinite height
6 of the 4 meter log poles is maximum from ground level up
the seventh breaks.
I assumed you could build infinitely high. I had never seen anything buckle in on itself so I was confused by vertical loss. But I have been informed I've never build high enough
given there's a lot the game doesn't say
āļø
I now have been enlightened
so thats 24 meters with core wood
swamp is where you get a lot more building toys
only gets better from there
wish the game had better light sources though
You want less FPS?
Because that's how you get less FPS.
š
hip lantern mod my beloved
Mods š¤¢
i like the circlet
but i feel most comfortable when i am equipped to take on a small army
Circlet upgrade that lets you put a Wisp on it š
I have one mod and it's to plant crops perfectly spaced. I tried doing it myself and almost had a stroke
i wasn't gonna say anything further
depends on what mods
I just bought the game because I heard it's gonna get out of early access soon, so should I start it now or wait for full release? Does the save carry over? Will the mods still work?
Sorry I don't have experience with early access games.
Should I start now?
Only you can answer questions regarding what you should and should not do.
Does the save carry over?
Yes.
Will the mods still work?
You haven't even played it yet and you're already planning to alter it??
If a game is moddable it's a certain that I will mod it.
š¶āāļø
for anyone in the past who has wondered, this is the problem i have with mods.
people can play how they want theres no question about that but it doesn't stop it from actually saddening me when the hand-crafted experience the devs provide, and in such an amazing manner, is not enough...
I'm a big believer in the idea that mod makers should use those talents to build their own games and experiences.
especially right off the bat....i mean at the very least i guess you still support the devs by getting the game but i mean....like...š¦
1200 hours of vanilla later and i am still planning more playthroughs, and once i have done a few with 1.0s release, the deep north, everything, then i will probably go into modding, if the devs really do want to move on from the game....
at that point i feel less guilty of the idea
are you familiar with terrarias calamity mod
Is it even possible for me to build my crossed roof without any misalignments if i have a combo of 26° and 45° roof tiles?
Yes.
Main one is 2x26 and 2x45, the side stuff is all 26. Id assume i gotta rebuild the side stuff to match
funny how 45 degree is an option, my father said that architecturally he thinks anything 45 degrees looks horrible.
outside of a video game context that is
I think even steep roofing irl is like 40° at most
yeahh sounds about right
Looking outside everyones got 26° tiles lol
wish there was an option between the two roof angles we have rn..
Also anyone got a tip on roof edges? The 26° half piece clips through the roof and shows a bit of beam in the middle of the tile
Id LOVE a combo 45/26 edge piece
Both ways.
I have returned.
Morgen gjall.
I wish i could just angle it
Like just let me rotate pieces
Get comfygizmo. Its good. Except for me i noticed a frame drop around builds with the mod enabled. Also misalignments and incorrect snapping to rotated pieces
If itās only the beam thatās sticking out delete beam and place from inside snapping to bottom of the roof piece
Oh ill try that thanks
Im on xbone
How is the controller layout for the game? Iāve been considering getting the game for console if they ever release for ps5
Ok so its actually not bad just slightly not intuitive
Having a chill couch version would be perfect for building especially if they add a way to link pc to console account
Whatās not intuitive and how do you think they could fix it
where can i send a screenshot, your solution seems to well, not work
Ok so it's mostly the building but to be fair its my first game of the genre
I'd also say the secondary use for buttons
If that solution doesnāt work, I recommend having another beam to the side and snapping off of that
Like idk how it is on pc but on console you gotta block to dodge
Yeah itās the same on pc with the roll
Gotcha
The devs see rolling as a secondary dodge function
the idea seems to be to prioritise parrying
Jumping is better than rolling when available too
So it should be your third option
I need to try that
Jump attacking is very useful as it allows you to dodge while attacking and you can move horizontally a lot faster than on the ground
dodge rolls work against slow really heavy attacks or really damaging ones like against bosses that you donāt know if you can parry or not
For moder I used a lot of dodge rolling but I could have probably been fine just blocking based on how much damage and stagger I was taking
Regular blocking works well for bosses, it costs less stamina and has almost no recovery time
I honestly canāt wait to absolutely destroy yagluth
My plains base rn is taking in game decades to gather all the resources and plan it out, I know for a fact I donāt have enough tar for the roofs or stone for the walls
I kinda wanna show off my ugly base
yea true tbh. they need to buff that
Hailing 160 silver from moder fight back to base, life is good lol
aight got staff of embers on day 72
just thinking about it, idk what i could have done to be faster..
and i got lucky with mines
Thereās a certain irony in the frostner final upgrade weighing more than you can carry and all that weight just not mattering anymore when itās crafted into the hammer
Now that I think about it Iād love a visual upgrade to weapons as they are upgraded
just shove the cart down the side of the mountain enar the boat
I did and it was a pain and I hate it
Pushing a cart down is the best part. You jump in and see if you survive
really?
the real pain is walking down with it and mining through any rocks
It got stuck on every rock, got broken by a wolf, a lox and a fuling and then the stupid swamp enemies bothered me the entire last leg to the boat
in future I will just ride a boat down
More than you can carry?
Oh you mean in equivalent silver
loafy do you sleep
He sleeps in valheim
Mines and cores are really the main thing. Tissue and extractors are easy enough to get even in a karve
I found half a dozen along the shore before even seeing my first mine š
yea i was looking for a vein nearby shore
found just 1x, but its enough i guess
also farming ooze was something that took a bit of time
need some better strategy for that
and im like always short on leather scraps
Just got lucky then. Currently have bubble and embers at l2, probably gonna get frost too and tgen finally kill yag
Leather scraps is what boar farms are for
Now with animal whisper mead its much less annoying
For ooze your best bet is running through swamps at night or increasing raids and hoping for the foul smell one
something interesting to learn tho in this playthrough is that mistlands without wisp is very doable lol
Lol yeah i was surprised too
gjalls are scary tho but i run from them anyway even when i have wisp
and kite to nearby dvergs
its crazy how much u can skip in this game
no crypt key, no wishbone, no wisplight, no drakkar
I did kill everything up to moder because iron is actually a pain to get without the key when you dont abuse chair glitch.
But i have black forge and galdr table at l3 and feather cape + 2 staves already without yag so the rest is only a matter of time
Even found a vegvisir for the Queen in my third mine
same i found queen fast af. look how lucky location too #screenshots message
thats the first mistlands i went to and its right there
u can see even moder is nearby
That is some bullshit luck. Mine is halfway around the world
it's pretty strong as it is, easily overpowering mistlands stuff
ya
Fun fact for you guys @idle storm @cosmic igloo , mistlands is actually safer without a wisp.
Harder to navigate, but if you canāt see enemy mobs, then they canāt see you.
The number of times Iāve bumped into a gjall or seekers and just ran away onto the mist is quite funny š
i thought the wisp had attractive properties too for mobs
Damn! Lucky! š¤©
Iām still looking for my queen š
Itās shiny - mobs are attracted to light sources - normally to break them š
those gjall can see through mountains when you have a wisp on š
You only need to upgrade most items for the increased durabilityās
That, or the item gets other perks from upgrades, like the summoner skull and blood shield stick
More skellies and longer lasting shields respectively
true
"Lasts longer"
Still drops in 1 hit from a 2 star
š
The increase looks small on paper but it does make a noticable difference
Especially going from 3 to 4 in ashlands
ya prot bubble upgrades are necessary, its annoyinng to keep reapplying it
cleared my first plains , i didnt drop any flax from the villages , that means i gotta find another plains biome right ?
YOU don't last longer, the shield laying on your corpse does š
Yes. Flax can only be obtained from these villages.
chests and planted within the village, it can be easy to miss at night
Youād likely need to go to more villages for the fuling totems anyway
oh yeah i dont mind, tho if i read correct one fully upgraded black metal gear is like 300+ scraps
It doesn't drop, you harvest it from small patches in the villages and can sometimes be found in chests.
yeah i mean no spawn from the village
unlucky
went through 2 infact just double checking the first again just to be sure
one piece, or everything? because 1 isn't that expensive
trust me you're gonna need a ton of flax
yep, the farming skill makes it faster to compound your flax rates, but it still takes a lot of time to farm all of your flax for everything coming up
Normally it happens the other way around, first kill eikthyr then the troll.
So yeah sure, go for it.
oh lol alr
Troll is a black forest monster, eikthyr is the boss of the meadows.
You kill eikthyr to get the items to make a tool that you can use in the black forest.
ooh that makes sense
shouldn't have built my base next to that forest
Actually it is not that bad. Trolls are rare so they don't spawn that often. Plus you are closer to the next materials from black forest.
Can i effectively parry a 0 star troll with a wodden shield and food from the meadows?
Yes.
Can the sealed tower be repurposed as a base post clearance?
Ehhh probably not the way youāre thinking. You canāt build inside of it, but I think you can build on top of it.
Skill issue š„°
Literally š
Not on top either, but off the side
Ahhh gotcha, thanks for the correction!
Aw thatās a shame it would make a sick spot and I have one pretty close to where Iām making my plains base
At least it makes for a nice view
Is maxed out plains gear enough to take it on or would you guys recommend mistlands shit?
Hey guys, I'm on day 128, and just tackling mountains (I'm slow, I know) I still haven't found Haldor, can he be anywhere?
On day 128 i was on mid swamp lol
Day 360 currently, mid plains.
Spent the last 6 hours building haha
yea, I found a small island very close to plains and swamp and I turned that into my home, I also found a nice meadows area with a maypole, but I really hate those dang troll attacks
thanks, I'll give that a go
Anyone know why steam isnt responding while ingame? The overlay and screenshots just dont do anything in valheim, no matter the settings.
You can take it on with a stagbreaker. If you're patient, iron sledge works better though.
If you want to do it the "legit" way plains gear is enough.
well i started valheim and idk wtf to do lol
Hugin should be explaining things to you. Is there anything specific you want to know?
i can't find him no more idk where is he
If heās not spawning that means he has nothing to say right now. Go explore, hunt and craft some things
he pops up as you run around and do things
i jsut started recently as well.. i started with jusst punching trees and making starter weapons/tools
okay
well do you know what should i do after crafting things?
When you have full armor, a level 3 shield and flint weapon, fight the first boss.
He isnāt particularly strong but you want to be well prepared for whatās ahead
kkill animals for food.. makke a simple shelter for rested bonus/sleeping. and start making weapon/armor for the first boss
You should also be searching for bee nests
is there a setting/mod that can let me keep my food buffs even if i die.
Thereās no setting, but you could ask in #mods-discussion
Or keep a chest of food to use if you die
hard to keep that much of a surplus. its getting annoying
can someone tell me when is christmas tree is going to dissapear from the game ?
it will likely disappear come january from the build menu but if you build one then the one in your base will stay forever (or until destroyed)
oh okay thank you
its kinda funny how the game literally incentivizes never taking down your Christmas tree
My buddy and I were exploring and came across a troll and a lox duking it out. It was like a pokemon battle so we just sat and watched
I do that still watching them foes from different biomes fighting it out. I even build explicitly in places where biomes meet for some entertainment š
troll vx abomination is cool to watch too š
We watched that one too not so long after.
Our playthrough so far has been most eventful
Where is the first boss?
At spawn there's a small red glowing stone that marks him on the map
imagine
i died to troll with 2 stars
first time when i met troll with 2 starts i parred him without a problem with silver nbot even maxxed out shield but when i met him for the second time i had the same shield but maxxed out and i didnt parry him
jesus grausten is sooooo free. can build massive cathedrals like its nothing
Rough man.
I rarely try to parry trolls, let alone 1 star ones. I just find it easier to dodge them, maybe get some copper out of it. Abominations though for me are easier and generally just more beneficial to parry.
building in this game, shall give me an aneurysm
Funny, I never bother to parry abominations. just sidestep left about 1m and you're out of their hitbox, then keep swinging your axe.
Right, it's attacks aren't hard to maneuver around. I rephrase, they aren't easy to parry but it's a good payout. I parry it's right hand sweep attack just cause it's harder to maneuver properly, due to it's wide swing.
For anyone who might know, are Draugrs weaker to blunt or slash damage? I was always under the impression they were weak to blunt, but slash has been clearing them alot better.
They are weak to neither, yellow damage numbers indicate the enemy is weak to that damage type, white means neutral, and gray means resistance
No, they'll still show as white. Yellow numbers are weak points however
That is incorrect
The wiki say otherwise
For example, shooting a troll in the head with an arrow will give you a yellow damage number. Or the seekers, hitting the open spot on their back will do the same
I remember when i first played this game with my friends, i was kinda like the forge guy, working in our cellar under the house,
I remember looking up at the Yggdrasil when we were sailing once, we all had no idea what was in the game and i said:
''Ill build my forge on that tree one day, the greatest smith in all of valheim'', i hope i can make that dream come true one day,
Even though those friends are no longer with me āŗļø
Shooting a troll anywhere with an arrow will give yellow numbers because trolls are weak to pierce, shooting a troll in the head with an arrow will deal 2x damage instead of 1.5x damage
Same with seeker soldiers, the butt is weak to pierce, blunt, and slash
Weak points have different weaknesses and resistances to the rest of the enemy, but donāt automatically take more damage from everything
Ahhh I see. Seekers probably weren't a good example then, since they're backside is weak to all physicals
I must just be straight imagining doing more damage then. At least more consistent damage.
You might have a higher swords skill than clubs skill, making swords deal more damage
I did just make the sword, if I had to say off hand it'd be about lvl 5 - 10, vs my blunt 20 someth. So far just made an iron sword to help farm abominations
Swamps are great. Good challenge, one of the hardest bioms id say.
Its a new char, I've only been up to mistlands
A more situational thing that may be the reason: swords donāt have multi-target penalty, but clubs do. So if youāre in a tight space and hitting walls then clubs will deal reduced damage but swords wonāt
That would explain it.
Never noticed that either, good eye.
jotun bane isn't as bad as i remember at tree chopping
each subsequent axe is better at tree chopping than the previous.
It is an upgrade from BM axe after all (at least for chopping trees, for dmg in general its debatable)
i remember it being remarkably worse compared to the blackmetal axe for trees
because more damage being poison
I dont see why would it, it has 10 more chop dmg
the other dmg types make no difference
hm.
how intuitive that appears to be listed nowhere in-game.
i am 1000% not focused on the weapon aspects of this mid axe
Indeed it isnt, because it makes sense the higher tier axe will be better tool than the lower tier one
If you say so
It really does.
Is there ever going to be a Ragnarok event?
Probably not
Dang
It would make no sense to the story of Valheim.
Maybe i just suck at it, but i really hope there's some improvements to fishing. Idk if I'm missing something, but in the near 700 hours I've played, I've rarely touched fishing. Any tips?
No, I hate it as well.
Haha, it's not terrible just janky.
I also dont like it much, but having all stam foods and mead at hand helps a lot š
Is it too much to ask for a flying ability somewhere near the end game material?
We kinda do.
Pretty much yeah since devs said no to flying afaik (tho there are ways to basically fly)
Its very cool to imagine, at the very least
Like a hot air balloon or anything..
Nope
In my head, id imagine you'd tame a drake or something, maybe have it carry you via rope like the small wyverns in monster hunter
Or atleast a staff that will teleport you to any of your portals you desire?
I spend a lot of time just traveling on foot, itās very time consuming
You usually should have a pocket portal with you that acts the same way basically
I've got a disconnected portal in my base for that reason. The inventory space is rough, but connecting back quickly before a death or to recharge is mighty helpful
It would be nice to have a wyvern Mount drop from the final boss.
Would it? The game is over then, you'd have no time to use it.
Iād keep playing
Why?
My friend and I chatted about that.
A magic mirror type reward, acting similar to terraria's, would be an awesome reward for beating the game. But that's just me
Slaying the bosses has never been the point of the game, has it? More of a just a thing to check off the list and move on so you can just keep doing whatever you want to do
I never stopped playing after all the other bosses. Itās sort of like Minecraft on steroids for me
That's the ONLY point of the game, yes.
Well it is the main point of the game š
or at least it's supposed to be, kind of like there is a main story in skyrim but who gives a shit? Completed it only once and played the game on 10+ different characters for hundreds of hours
MOST people would care about the main story.
all the side stories and DLC stories are far better...
Just because some people enjoy pissing about buiding laggy monstrosities doesn't mean it's the aim of the game.
I enjoy the vibe of just sailing around building in new places, and trying to build new things. My wife and I sail around, fish, and explore together.
if slaying the boss is all you care about how about just spawn it and type kill all in console?
.... š
Cause why do that when it's more rewarding to work for the battle itself
You don't understand games, do you?
you do not
That's the funniest thing I've heard all day.
I've been plains tier for a year. I play off and on, but when I'm active all I do is improve my bases
Good, I don't think you laugh very often
Then you really don't know me.
From an actual standpoint i guess I can see what they mean. It takes a while to beat a boss, and you really could just live in a handful of biomes without caring much else about the game. I guess i wonder what's the proper speed at which you should progress through a set of biome. At the end of the day its up to you, it's an open world survival game ykno. At the very least, until your comfortable to move on.
I started a new game with friends. Thereās six of us and we lan party valheim every other Saturday. We love the game and if it wasnāt for the materials needed from the bosses, none of them would care about beating the bosses. š
Gotta farm the first boss for that sweet looking trophy
Because that completely skips the fun part - actually fighting the boss
4 friends and me started a coop world together. 1 of them was a bit unlucky, got salty and quit first day. 1 of them speedran to the last biome and finished the game in less than 10, me and the other 2 friends are still playing taking our time... can you guesss which ones of us 5 are enjoying the game most?
Ok that's cap
At no point have I said you couldn't play the game any one of a million ways. Of course you play the way you enjoy.
And the way people play isn't always the way they would enjoy the most.
Absolutely.
I agree, your first experience could sour the rest of the game
Ok ok, hear me out.. a staff that launchās you high into the air..
Mods
Have you been in ashlands yet?
Have YOU been in ashlands yet?
if the bonk doesn't take you to the moon it's not working properly
Iām there now, trying to get to the boss with dying from every creature on the land within 10 miles when I step on a twig. š
So you did find the thing "that launchās you high into the air"?
I donāt think so? I also just found a stone today with the wife that leads to something āmysterious ā
So I have a question I understand that the dungeons are found in the black forest but where are they mostly found at in the dungeons. Cause I have looked in the black forest for so long and cannot find a dungeon
Well once you have been in fortresses and you have cleared them out completly you will see what i am talking about š
Ooooh, ok yea, I have one
Sometimes they're very hidden, and sometimes when you're looking for something, the spawn rates magically drop.
Look for places with 3 skeletons and crows around them
They've also got different formations. You can tell from a blueish smoke around them, and skeletons
ohhh okay thank you
I completely forgot about those. But with a staff I could keep using it and glide back down to help cover ground a little faster.
And also absurdly op š (tho i agree it would be fun, but for stuff like that you have mods š )
I guess Iāll have to wait until we beat it to explore the mods.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but could you theoretically clear like half the map with that thing
Or well just make it that far
I donāt know, I never used it. I just built my way into the fortresses
Maybe not quite the half, but i didnt try to max the distance myself, you would need to go to the highest mountain for that
what keybind is to split items again?
shift+click
thx+
also is there any like transportation that I can get. Like a horse or some way other the walking cause I am tired of tired so far away from my base and having to run ALL the way back like miles away
In the second biome you unlock portals and a faster boat
im talking about on land
You can ride creatures from the fifth and seventh biomes
how do you see what number the biome is?
Meadows > Black Forest > Swamps > Mountains > Plains > Mistlands > Ashlands
is that in order
Yes
Yes
how do you tame said creatures
You can tell if a creature is tameable by getting close and aiming at it. You will see āwildā show next to their name.
Trap them somewhere with a food they like to eat and theyāll tame eventually.
do you need to craft a saddle of some sort or can you just ride them after they tame
there's also some gear sets that slightly improve move speed (or don't make you slower) before you get to rideable tames too
Rideable creatures need saddles
If you find the bog witch you can craft Tonic of Ratatosk for increased movespeed
Does Askvin Eggs hatch in open sky? It's near a bonfire
yes, they just need to be near fire. Does the egg say it's warm?
and are they separated?
huh. i always covered my asksvin eggs when i hatched. i usually put them in a 4x4 box
and then giggle when 40 asksvins pop out of the box later
anyone need a +1?
Yep:
#screenshots message
for some reason I think it's 30 minutes.
Just borned! I have a 1* egg too. It says [2], right?
then 50 to mature.
that's right.
Yep, one star = lvl2 creature š
I lost it
imagine, a 3 ā gjall
use creature level and loot control
hi guys i have not played valheim for years, i wanted to share my world to friends. but im confused what to copy bec it has 2 folder now, worlds and worlds_local. can someone help me?,
Open the game and make sure you have the world locally. If it's local it'll appear in "worlds_local"
ignore that guy use mods
Use mods for something you can easily and more efficiently and safely do in vanilla, make it make sense.
Nah
I mean, if you really want to talk mods, we have #mods-discussion
where can i find seed list?
#1202740443352137838 has some.
thank uuuu
you don't know the true meaning of berserkir until Zil & Thungr manage to spawn on your island and attack one of your loxes
ripped those bastards to shreds real fast
can you get a pickaxe without killing Eikthyr?
Yes, but it will be quite trouble some as it will require "Troll Mining".
More effort than actually just doing the tutorial boss would be.
So basically we don't need to kill any boss
You will have to kill Moder, no matter what, as she drops an item that's required for future upgrades.
it's really easy to get a troll to smash copper/tin
What if I make some Draugrs kill it?
The other bosses can be skipped, but you will lack a useful power and some other key items to get the materials needed to process
Ok I will kill them...
Can we enter swamp's crypts using glitches?
Bosses can't be killed by other creatures from other biomes.
They're the only monsters which can only be killed by the "player faction".
I see
boss are friendly to all creature
technically, you don't, you can reach every biome without killing any bosses, but it's rough and defeats the entire point of the game
Yo we should start a valheim worldš¤
using a chair can get you in a crypt
but you need a key for the legit method
good thing it's unbreakable
Im trying to imagine a peaceful run
But we have to kill the goblins to drop black metal
you can use growths for that
"
