Anyone got a cool PvP survival game recommendation ? And no, not rust. That game is the most toxic game ever... besides Rust. I'm generally a PvE survival game enjoyer. But I'm missing the fun I had in PvP survival games back in my middle school days

To be fair PvP in Valheim sounds like a non-fun time. Because the combat is OK against AI but agianst players, idk if it sounds fun

In my experience, PvP in Valheim is fine as long as the people involved all have comparable gear. Had a 4-person group a while back and we'd occasionally wander over to an arena to spar or settle disputes.

Friend Grimwell, PvP is and has always been a sore spot since back in the days of Shadowbane where there was an MMO that made you work, craft, build everything.
People don't like that they need to grind outside a disney-park, do not appreciate the thrills of moving into disputed places and potentially get robbed with a full cart of ore or such.

Dune, these days have budged and made PvP optional and consentual by establishing specific PvP areas - or so I read

I had a 70% win rate with Draven and still had to play 6 hours a day to be able to get diamond 1 bc thats just how it works

Conan exiles and ark pvp kinda works but even then the struggle of offline raiding just isn't worth the time sink

PvP is not the problem. The problem are people with a Pay-To-Win mentality in my opinion.
I have no issue with building something, forging stuff and then "visit the neighbours" for a friendly raid

By no means am I a fan of PvP, but as I mentioned before, in a 4-man group I had in Valheim a while back, we would occasionally spar with each other. There are occasions where you feel like testing you skill against something stronger than a greyling.

Im actually still on that server i just mentioned. When we beat fader the host used a mod to reset everything except the buildings so we could get new players and have a world feel established, theres a whole community hall at spawn. Im joining them for moder today on day like, who knows XD

I've got about 80 hours in and was getting ready to fight Bonemass but died and there are way too many mobs spawned out there, multiple dead bodies and multiple boats. I'm back down to my troll armor and slowly working back up

Yes but everytime I get out there because there are so many mobs I get attacked so quickly and swiftly. Multiple wraiths spawning near it, etc. I haven't been able to get one down. Basically, yes. iirc the default option is the [R] key. It puts your fishing rod on your back, just like it does when you use it for a weapon.

Coming back to climate. I live in the SW, and it's very temperate here.

Baumholder is up in the Eifel almost. Its climate is a bit more rough.

Kaiserslautern/Ramstein area is milder.
