Hey guys, for those whom had tried the battleaxes and see thier flaws, what you think of the following:

||💡 This discusión has been adressed, but i think its important to expand more.

Context. I have been testing the new battleaxe weapons, especially the mistlands battleaxe - Skullspliter. But in mistlands there is a clear competitor: Krom. Krom has a faster swing, more damage potencial with the secondary attack as well as more stagger in the secondary attack. In contrast there is The Skullspliter (who represents the battleaxe weapons class in this case) having a very slow inicial swing and less damage than Krom. The secondary attack is perfect at least.

Now, most players consider krom a very solid weapon while battleaxes are labled somewhat as a “cool junk” and this is because of speed/damage related to the respective weapon. Thus, while testing i came about some solutions for making battleaxes as a whole e choice to rival Krom & greatswords:

SUGESTION

or you make
(1) Battleaxes faster animations than greatswords to compensate for his lower damage in comparison to greatswords.

Or you
(2) Make base damage of battleaxes greater than greatswords and keeping the slow animations. This including a greater stagger potential from the primary attack or the secondary attack. I think this solution is the best because it would be somewhat weird to look a battle axe have more speed than a greatsword.

Extra: please add a battleaxe to ashlands and the future deepnorth biome.||

Ashlands is the most aggressive biome 😄 you always have to watch everything around you. But it's laggy with more people so you may have more fun with others but will most likely die more often 😄

generally the way your progress to the next tier of materials in this game is by fighting the current biome's boss. that's the gameplay loop: explore biome, gear up, find boss, fight boss, new biome

That's terrible advice considering defeating the first boss unlocks one of the main mechanics in the game besides the loot they drop

From what I can tell, it looks pretty neat. One of my favorite Valheim builders did some builds in Enshrouded, and they looks super nice

you don't have full freedom with diagonals for example
but the possibilities 👌 limitless

almost to a fault because you actually can do anything
meaning those who are incredible builders would build unbelievable bases which make mine look like the slums

You shouldn't get one trophy out of every 10 bears you kill.
No matter if you kill one bear or 10,000, you still have a 10% drop chance for each kill.

Consider it like a lottery, it doesn't matter if you buy 1 ticket or 100, if the chance to win the jack pot is one in a million, it'll remain one in a million. Even if you got 100 tickets.

Like with a lot of things, the root cause of this being a sticky issue is that the game has been out a while now and with that comes a lot of interia to any change at all.
But the game is still essentially in beta, a lot can change, you have to deal with it.

in any similar games to valheim, there are always dedicated armor slots. when im wearing a t-shirt, pants, socks (etc). am i carrying them? the inventory is like a "pocket". my shirt isn't in my pocket, my pants arent in my pocket. if anything i can carry MORE because of my clothes. thats all the game needs. dedicated armor + trinket slot (because you WEAR it) and all this will be solved. it never had to come to this. didnt need to be a thing, now its a thing. trust me, im tired of hearing about this subject more than anyone.
